Negative experience: As a monthly subscriber I really would recommend others to think twice especially if it’s for using the pool. The changing rooms are freezing cold and the water traps dirty and disgusting and the pool is either freezing cold or too hot. Showers run out of water. Today I had to use my water bottle to rinse soap out as it had stopped working midway. Staff don’t seem to care and never take it seriously. Last week boiler broke and water was that cold it was freezing. I wish they put in as much care and attention as they do the ice rink!!

Negative experience: Booked to go swimming with my goddaughter and not only did I go to reception to get our booking scanned, the female staff member had no idea where that would be scanned. She was useless was like this desk is only for trampolining that’s great but she couldn’t at least point me in the right direction. In the end I didn’t even get it scanned just got to walk in? How are they not policing who’s actually paying it’s a joke. Pool was cold af too

Positive experience: Great softplay! Really friendly staff! During school holidays the softplay gets busy! We waited 20 minutes today for a seat! The parents with trampoline children shouldn’t be able to sit in the softplay area? They should sit on the balcony or on the trampoline park??

Negative experience: Went swimming with my mate and we like 2 floats and adults tryna take are floats one if them in sulted my mate sort ur swimming out

Negative experience: I go here for the gym and swimming, usually my experiences are okay, however today they were sadly ruined, i paid for me and some friends to go swimming, and to my disappointment, they would let my friend swim because he apparently "could not swin" even after he proved he could, so that was a waste of money, not to mention the lifeguards were extremely moody, after such terrible swimming experience, i went to the changing rooms and the had to endure 7 old men with there genitalia out, i understand this is not the pools fault, but may you install more changing rooms or remind them to keep there todger away as it scarred me for life and we are literal children, he didnt even have a towel around him, he was shuffling it about as if he wanted us to acknowledge it (again not the centres fault)

Positive experience: Great place to keep active for the young and old. for the little ones you have the soft play which is right next to the trampoline park so can keep an eye on the little ones and the big ones at the same time, they also have a good sized swimming pool and if you fancy trying something new ice skating rink which is great fun, or if you fancy something a bit more peaceful and slow paced they have a great library. The building on the outside could benefit from a good clean up and litter picking.

Fantastic experience: Great facility with affordable membership plans. Gym, fitness classes, Swimming, Ice Rink, trampoline park and kids soft park at one place. Enough parking for everyone. The facility has great team of staff who are knowledgeable and polite.

Fantastic experience: Have only visited the ice rink, so only reviewing that. Ice rink is spacious, can deffo get busy but haven’t found that’s stopped me skating how I like. The staff are really helpful and kind. Really nice atmosphere and they have free lockers to put your things. Deffo will be going back for more skating fun!

Positive experience: I attend the ice hockey which is always a good evening. Venue is well suited and organised. Would be 5 star but the food and drink stand there always seem to have a problem with their tills and leads to large queues. There is much more to do there than just ice hockey and well worth a visit.

Positive experience: We booked the 10.45am ice skating session. Online it appears there are 60 places however there were certainly double this number of skaters on the ice. It was too crowded to be enjoyable, young lads whizzing around the rink and girls twirling (I assume they were waiting for their session). Also we could only use two thirds of the rink which is already small in size. You also have to ask for tokens for the lockers which is not made clear so a lot of people weren't closing their lockers. We won't go again as it cost £60 for 4 of us.

Positive experience: Only use the ice rink. This is clean and well managed.

Negative experience: I recently joined the better gym, and to my astonishment, I could not believe the state of the cleanliness within. My concerns are that the revenue for said gym, comes from elderly people and disabled.Some of these people are more likely to be prone to infections and or disease. So the service being provided is inadequate and people are paying for a service, which is not being adhered too. Hence cleanliness of the the gymnasium. I've spoken to numerous staff whom say they have reported this concern to the management. Hopefully a cleaner will be employed to maintain general health and safety for the people who pay for a service, not being provided for.

Fantastic experience: Love coming to watch the wildcats play ice hockey

Positive experience: Went to watch ice hockey, very good venue. The only negative is no sign posting!

Negative experience: Tried to call today to query my daughters lessons, got bounced around an automated service for ages which hung up on me twice. Probably the WORST customer service I have experienced in a long time, all I needed to do was talk to someone for 30 seconds - this review is directed at "Better" not the staff in the centre

Positive experience: Fun ice skating. Kids liked the trampoline park. Shame it all looks and feels so run down and under invested. Glad it's back open and hope they can get a decent run at it

Positive experience: Decent arena. Parking is alright. The flooring needs done. But all the seats are really close to the rink. Entire thing just needs some love. Hey the work done and it would be a lot nicer.

Fantastic experience: Went to watch the Wildcats with the family awesome time, great to watch and a win for the Wildcats.

Negative experience: Meh, it's the only place I can take both kids trampolining at the same time due to their age. Once my youngest reaches the minimum age for freedog we'll be going there instead!

Fantastic experience: Been there for ice skating in the past which has always been great. Have also visited the softplay previously - it's okay especially for younger ones. It's just not very big and definitely not for the older kids. This time we visited a bounce session which was great fun.

Positive experience: I liked their trampoline park. It was quite enjoyable for my young child... £9 or less... It's great for a whole family of an active bunch.. Even great to have some fun for the teenagers... The swimming pool and ice rink was not in operation two weeks ago and they said it might take a month or more to be back in operation. They also have a soft play area for toddlers for £6

Negative experience: I have booked 1 hour for my daughter and her friend. On reception I told and show to that lady that we had a book online. She told me to wait for 10 minutes for no reason then without any checking or something she said we can go in. Changing room smells like sweating and boots, I tried to buy a coffee or a drink and they said they were closed. On the trampoline park my daughter complaining about one of the person told her to get of because she needs to get on. So in a word, me personally I don't want to come back again!

Negative experience: What's this clumsy pool at Link centre Swindon , how many bookings will this centre allow for peak hrs ? I think they have to consider the capacity too during rush hours ,not just opening the booking for all is not the criteria, almost 19 to 20 individuals are allowed to swim at a time which makes this clumsy. Am not going to book here again during rush hour evng times ... It's not a pool , it's a rush hour tube

Positive experience: Went trampolining at Better Link Centre today. Booked 2 girls aged 9 online 24 hours before and cost just over £12 total at 12pm - a 1 hour saver session in the summer holidays. Great choice now that Freedog have changed their unit. And Better's briefing only lasts 5 minutes. Cafe available. Would have been 5 stars but a little disorganised on reception. Will definitely return soon.

Fantastic experience: A fun place to go with kids . Abundance of activities to keep them busy and put their endless energy to constructive use. My daughter particularly loves the trampoline park. Sufficient parking available as well through the day.

Positive experience: Usually end up here for the ice hockey to watch the Swindon Wildcats. I haven't skated here yet, but the venue seems pretty good. Clean and no issues there. It's on my list to give ice skating a go as it's been a long time! When I do that, I'll update this review with the process and what it's like etc.

Fantastic experience: Great as a hockey fan. The atmosphere at the Wildcats games is amazing. Highly recommend it to anyone, whether you filling ice hockey or not. Great family entertainment.

Negative experience: Great sized gym but after being a member since 2017, I've decided to leave. Equipment broken never repaired, cleanliness is awful... Nail in the coffin was returning after shutdown for Christmas, to find someones nails pealed off on the bike screen. I mean honestly. It's disgusting

Positive experience: The car park at the front is for disabled drivers, but it's not at all clear. Tried to see about the skating department, but was told it was shut and we couldn't see it. Although the website said it was open. May try again another day.

Fantastic experience: Excellent well kept ice rink with very good staff only fault is the none of the lighting riggs work as it seems all the bulbs need replacing getting these fixed would top the experience!

Positive experience: I come here regularly to swim, nice pool, water can be cold sometimes other times warm, shame there is no longer a cafe there, they are missing a treat has there is skating, trampoline Park and now a new soft play area so lots of people would use it. Otherwise nice leisure centre

Fantastic experience: Not sure about the other facilities, but the ice rink was fantastic. Well kept and smooth plus easy to skate on.. I didn’t try the boots out because I have my own skates. The café was also really good. It’s a shame I didn’t get to look at the other facilities shall do so when I go back as I will be going back again. I like my iceskating, and it is probably one of the most easy rinks to skate on.

Fantastic experience: Been ice skating here and to a couple of the ice hockey games. Always polite and friendly staff even in busy periods. Great value for money on both events.

Fantastic experience: First time at the new soft play area for our granddaughter. Really good. Little one (22 months) loved it and set out so that she could be and feel independent. Definitely go again.

Positive experience: Used gym. Equipment fairly good. Showers look nice but were very cold and didn't drain very well so felt like having a bath and shower at same time

Negative experience: Booked ice skating for my daughter and two friends - venue cancelled as the ice rink was closed. (They still let me book and took my money) they said the credit had been added to my “better account” the had only credited to the amount for the activity not for the additional 7.50 I had paid for skate hire. I called up and said I wanted the full refund back on to my card. They said they’d send the link with the refund request form… I got it and send it off. They quoted 14 days. This was on 22nd October 2022. I am still waiting for a my refund to go in now (9/11/22) I called up and complained and was told there was back log of refunds and there’s no timescale of when I will get my money back. This is absolutely disgusting. They let me book, took my money knowing the ice rink is closed, cancelled and know are keeping my money from me with no idea of when I will get it back. They are basically stealing from customers at this point and keeping their money. I will never book again with better again, unreliable, thieving liars with no compassion or understanding of their customers needs

Negative experience: Trampoline park has lost half of its area to a new soft play zone, which is separate. My son used to love the dodgeball court and large trampolines which have now gone. Now the only things that remain are the main trampoline floor which is much smaller and massively over-crowded (much smaller than Freedog) and the foam pits. Major disappointment considering the price of entry had remained the same

Negative experience: My partner and son went swimming there and found the floor in the pool gritty and when finished found the floors in the changeroom disgusting including the showers. So did not use the showers as it appears they do not keep on top of the basic cleaning. Will keep well away in the future.

Positive experience: Nice tidy location, outside could be neatened a little, bushes overgrown with litter in them. Pool was very cold but my children enjoyed themselves. No family change area so difficult with me, my wife and 2 daughters, I take our eldest in to the males with me.

Positive experience: Daughter has ice skating lessons, great instructors, shame that when she attends to practice the more experienced skaters can be very intimidating, weaving in and out, spraying with ice- very off putting!

Negative experience: For an hour slot, we only bounced for 45 mins and even my 3 daughters knew they hadn’t had an hour. For some reason, the member of staff left the door open for the remainder of the 10:45 slot people to turn up. They turned up at 10:55. I’m not very happy with the fact I paid £48 for them to knock of 15 mins of valuable time off us.

Positive experience: Went to better extreme trampoline park. Booking online is a pain and you need outlook to open up the booking confirmation. The whole place seems understaffed at the moment so it was a bit confusing getting in. The cafe isn't open either so no hot drinks or food available fo you while you use the viewing area. Apart from all that the kids had a great time and that's what matters

Positive experience: Visited the ice rink - they definitely need a few ice pushchairs to hire for young children! My 1 year old in ice skates was like watching bambi, and while they had the push along penguins for children as a stability aid - perfect for my 4 year kld - for really little ones they just want to be pushed around for fun! Plus, for all us terrible ice skaters, we'd hire an empty pushchair as a stability aid Great fun though, and was pleased they had ice skates for little ones as it was a memorable experience!

Positive experience: Swimming pool is deprived, limited changing room facilities, much smaller venue than oasis. Huge issue with children swimming lessons, limited changing facilities, no shoe covers. 3 stars as it will do, but major improvements needed. Visited May 2022

Positive experience: We arrived quite early today but we were allowed to come in and wait before our alloted slots became available to do the activities we had booked. Which were ice skating and trampolining. The car park is situated quite a walk from the entrance which i find unusual. Especially for blue badge holders (unless i missed a completely different car park I'm unaware of). There are a lot of hand gel stations within the complex and staff are wearing masks. Toilets are showing signs of wear and tear but the industrial style of the building seems to be in otherwise good shape. The cafe was closed today (sunday). It is the rules in the trampoline park to wear trampolining socks. These are purchasable for an additional £2.50 but the staff bounce on the trampolines with trainers on. Staff wise there seem to be plenty floating around for safety measures and to help if needed. During the orientation the tv was not working (pretty sure it wasn't working on our last visit over a year ago too) so a member of staff gave us a rundown of the rules instead. My husband took my daughter on the ice rink. He lasted five minutes before giving up as the boots he hired did not fit his feet. They were not wide enough. Oh dear!

Negative experience: The place was nice but the cost per session is a rip off. They want £12 per gym session. Try Pure gym, great equipment and excellent place to train for only £6.99 per session. I use these when I stop out, have not found a better gym than Puregym for the price

Negative experience: Miss the old link centre where you could just go in and enjoy the place. Customer service was shocking, went to the trampoline Park and the girls on reception clearly couldn't care less about their jobs. Smirked and sniggered at me when I lost my glasses in the centre and were completely unhelpfull. No phone number contact either. Very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: We've not been here for a long time. So we decided to go ice skating. Had a great time not to busy. We'll definitely be back soon

Negative experience: I have always booked a session for my son and I was sitting inside waiting for him,without jumping. * HE'S 7)Today I couldn't anymore because they changed the rules, under 8 years old,you have to pay a adult ticket . I ordered a teacake( hot bun) from the Café area and I received it just like that,cold ! I hoped i would eat it like I'm always eating it,hot and with butter.

Negative experience: They’ve treated us awfully twice in the space of a few months and I would not recommend their services to anyone. You may need to pay more in other gyms, but they will treat you like human beings, not like rubbish. 1st Time: I enrolled my son on swimming lessons via the website. Paid the initial money they requested with my debit card and then set up Direct Debit. 2 months later, I took my son to the pool as usual and they told me he had been removed from the list. I waited for hours at the site to clarify this with the manager and he didn’t have a clue. He simply said that we stopped paying (not true) and the membership had been cancelled. He promised to look into it and 1 week later he had done absolutely nothing. When escalating the complaint further, they said that I could do nothing but pay to do the enrolment again. Absolutely unacceptable. 2n Time: It so happened that we moved home after the first incident and we tried to go with Better again but at a different centre. My son enjoys their lessons and we were hoping that the management team would do a better job in the new centre. It was ok until my son, due to medical reason, had to do some home rest. We requested a freeze of the membership and even though they clearly state on the website that this is possible, they have rejected our request. We will now cancel the membership and never ever do any business with them. They don’t deserve our money.

Positive experience: The centre was very welcoming. Made sure everyone was going to be safe with a talk.the trampolines were excellent for 2yr to 10 Yr olds. And older ones.

Fantastic experience: Excellent night at the ice hockey, what a great sport! Staff were extremely helpful as the signage was poor and it wasn't obvious where to go, seats provided a good view ( C Block) and it wasn't cold sitting in the stands. Would recommend it to anyone

Positive experience: Trusty old rink starting to show its age. Facilities are clean and tidy, but a total refit must be on the cards in the future. If it is to keep attracting customers.

Positive experience: Ice Rink: Great facility but wasn't happy that they sectioned off the end of the rink for a private lesson, meaning new skaters couldn't 'hand-rail' the edge all the way round and had to cross 'the open ice'; if we only get 2/3 of the rink, should we not only pay 2/3 of the price? Also, I highly recommend people check how many tickets are available before booking or, rather, how many have been sold, as I can't imagine this place anywhere near full capacity; it seemed busy enough with the ~50 skaters on three ice when we were there, never mind the ~300 capacity!

Fantastic experience: Old but gold. Facilities modernised. Swimming is a bargain. Ice skating is a classic. Trampoline Park is awesome. Staff are friendly. Parking is ample. Loads of shops and entertainment in walking distance
