Fantastic experience: Puregym is a reasonable, affordable, convenient, well equipped gym. I am following a program called Freedom From Diabetes, which suggested I should join a gym to workout on toning my body after reducing my weight. Work on strength, stamina and flexibility. I am glad i have chosen correctly.

Fantastic experience: I have been at PureGym Epsom for the last 6 years. It is hard to believe how reasonable the price is considering the 5 star quality. I personally find this gym better than others in the area that are charging £100+ per month, and that is mainly down to the brilliant classes and Personal Trainers. Every class I book onto is run with maximum effort and enthusiasm from each staff member. I would like to praise Aiste in particular who has been probably the best trainer I have ever come across in a gym environment. She is so dedicated and puts 100% into every single class, so much so that it pushes each individual to give their very best and leave feeling fulfilled and fit. She has been patient with me mastering a push up (which has taken a year, but we’re finally there!) and is always so encouraging. Pure Gym Epsom are extremely lucky to have her, and every other trainer who works there. They really do make it. It is also the only gym I’ve been to where I feel 100% confident. It is a total judgement free zone and people from all walks of life are encouraged to be themselves. I find the mobile app miles better than any other competitor gym, and love the fact I can bring a monthly gym buddy. I’ve nothing but praises to sing about Pure Gym Epsom!

Negative experience: Location wasn’t great, 3 flights of stairs to reach the gym. As soon as you get in, kids everywhere, flexing and showing off their non existent muscles…. Space to work out was also limited. Won’t be going back here again.

Fantastic experience: Zumba at Pure gym is amazing! I’ve been going for years now & still love it. It’s exercise but so much fun at the same time! Susanna the instructor has loads of energy, and really gets us moving, even if your a beginner you’ll pick up the moves in no time

Positive experience: Fair range of equipment usually in good order. Quiet at 5.30 am. Open 24/7… except at Christmas when I do wish they would email you the changed opening times. You get emailed about everything else… Good price.

Fantastic experience: This is actually a solid gym, probably my favourite PureGym I have been to. Although biased as I grew up in this gym, it is one of my favourite PureGyms. It has varying equipment and it doesn’t get busy to the point of having to share equipment with multiple people (more than 1 other person.) Would be nice to see some of the new matrix machines such as a hack squat but it has everything you need with a nice studio and clean changing facilities. Solid management, Sephs a good laugh and you can tell he really cares about the club and his clientele.

Negative experience: Nice enough gym but I’m moving elsewhere because I’m sick of children hogging the machines. It’s pretty hard to find a time when it’s quiet enough for adults

Negative experience: Too small and the parking situation is terrible

Positive experience: Nice gym and atmosphere. Pity that the water in the showers runs cold. You can get pneumonia! They could save money in other areas, I guess.

Positive experience: Difficult to find parking! I was there for once and there is a little information about parking and entrance. If you are going there first time - you will Have to look for the information how to get there and where to leave your car. Gym itself not too bad, pretty small, but with bunch of machines to work out.

Positive experience: Gym is fine, lacking some equipment like hack squats, but studio is big and the gym is at a good temperature even late hours in summer. Main complaint is the overall busyness, even at very late hours. Not PureGym's fault, but worth noting since this gym is on the smaller side.

Fantastic experience: This gym is an amazing value for money. Excellent classes, and dedicated, motivating instructors. I tried another local gym for a few months before moving over to PureGym, and it doesn't even compare. PureGym is definitely the best one in the area.

Negative experience: The personal trainer Sami was abrupt and rude to my husband. Smirking; eye-rolling and fat shaming people is unacceptable. His attitude towards me was aggressive and very disrespectful. We are very upset by the unprofessional manner and his behaviour. Not going back!

Negative experience: Updating this 1 star review after 2 months All the issues are worse lol, it's 20 degrees at night TURN. ON. THE. AIR. CONDITIONING. Thankfully they don't leave the music on super loud too often anymore, but my god it's horrible to workout here when i have to wipe the sweat from my brows every 5 seconds and watch my feet because the floor is covered in weights and equipment. I would say you get what you pay for (puregym IS the cheapest option) but you don't even get that with the lacklustre equipment sections shoved to the back behind an army of unused treadmills.

Negative experience: I have never come across a more disgusting and poorly managed commercial facility in my life. I joined Pure Gym in Epsom as it was local and convenient, and they touted themselves highly in terms of value for money. It has been anything but. Nadia, the general manager totally ignored my emails and the complaint I raised regarding the filthy and disgusting state of the facilities which she manages. It got to a point where could not even use the toilet or go into the showers because of the lack of cleanliness and poor hygiene control. Furthermore, I did not want to compromise my own hygiene and health, so I had no option but to cancel. When raising my complaint formally it took several days for someone to acknowledge this. The communications manager Millie and the senior team were provided with all the information and photographic evidence regarding my complaint. Despite this she questioned my integrity and tried to downplay the points I raised. Neither, Millie, Nadia, the senior team, or any Puregym representative offered any type of formal apology which is hard to fathom. I requested that in fairness to the issues I raised, half the fees I paid should be returned since I could only use half the facilities, however, I was told that despite all of this, they were not willing to reimburse me. It's this type of rogue attitude where companies and the people that represent them, act with impunity, and steal your money that sickens me. Rest assured, I will not set foot in another Puregym, even it was free of charge. Disgusting in every aspect.

Positive experience: Perfect little gym, always clean and friendly. I recommend getting the yanga water addon just for the lemon flavour.

Fantastic experience: Rejoined recently after having been a member a few years back. It has improved dramatically. Well done PureGym for investing into this gym, there is a tonne of new kit, and easy to get on all the equipment you need even at super busy times which can be a big frustration. The trainers are friendly and helpful and the gym is nice and clean with good changing facilities Great value for money.

Negative experience: Great gym! Well maintained and friendly staff! Good selection of equipment and large studio u can use if vacant from classes.. Unfortunately way too many kids. It's like a playground with no restriction time for under 18. Screaming girls, boys crowding with tops off and smoking. Puregym you need to manage this situation. First branch I've seen like this.

Fantastic experience: My first day at the gym was great as I attended to the induction. John, the instructor, was really kind and attentive to show me the equipment and how to use it as a beginner, making me feel really welcome. Installations look great too.

Fantastic experience: Joined up 4 months ago and have been regularly attending early morning’s. I should have done this years ago! For the monthly fee, PureGym is exceptional value for money. With a good range of kit, bookable classes, lockers/showers and the 24hr opening which is just so convenient. It does get busy at peak times but that’s to be expected. If you can get in early or late it’s pretty much your gym! I have friends going to other gyms at 5 times the monthly fee (ok one may have a spa) but the question is?….Are they 5 times better? I think not. Well done PureGym

Fantastic experience: Wayyyy better since the last time I went , the renovations have made the gym a lot more spacious and with a bunch of new equipment you can actually finish a gym sesh instead of waiting an extra half hour for a benchpress etc , overall would recommend as the atmosphere and vibes are unmatched.

Fantastic experience: Unbelievable value for money and amazing staff. The classes are of the highest standard having attended classes from Chris, Seymore, Ashley, Sami and Aiste. Their enthusiasm really drives you to come again and again and they really invest their energy in pushing you to maximise your effort, ultimately improving your fitness. Been going to the gym for several years now, and the experience just gets better and better. So grateful to be able to attend this gym and very thankful to the staff.

Positive experience: As with all puregyms the equipment on site is well rounded with everything you should need for your routine. Unfortunately, being a smaller gym, I'm pretty much at the point where I've given up going between the hours of 7am and 9pm. This gym gets so busy to the point where you are going to be waiting a lot for the equipment. Also, there is a pt there who seems to frequently give his beginner clients more weight than is safe for them to train with while shouting "dont be like all these sheep" which gets rather annoying.

Positive experience: Great gym with all the equipment you need and a recent refurbish. Only thing that let's this gym down is that there is no free parking, well there is but it's only during certain times of the day which don't work for me and im sure many others so unfortunately £4 a time on top of my session doesn't work for me, I train around 15 times a month so that takes my membership up to £76 a month, crazy. Also the setup more in the weights section of the gym is chaotic and there machines that you sit on that are pointed at people on the machine opposite (very close) which is very awkward especially as a male if you have a woman opposite. May be time to check out some other gym chains

Positive experience: Good weights and machine selection but hygiene in gents changing rooms has been really poor in my last 10-20 visits. Need to up cleaning schedule or change cleaners. Toilets particularly bad. Also didn't fix shower gel cages in showers with recent refurb.

Only 2 things that I stopped me giving 5 stars is the lack of a punch bag and the vending machines weren't working properly with the touchscreen buttons and not delivering what I had already paid for, but everything else was spot on!

Fantastic experience: £20 per month you can’t go wrong. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere in the gym is good . If you train off peak times just remember to type your Reg plate into the computer to get your free 2 hours parking.

Positive experience: I love this gym, it's very convenient for me being 24 hours as I work shifts, good location located above TKMAXX in epsom high street. There is a good variety of machines and in most cases more than one of each machine. One downfall... gets extremely busy during peak times (when people have just finished school and work). One thing that is very helpful for avoiding the mad rush is the app, it tells you how many people are in the gym!

Fantastic experience: How can you go wrong with a pure gym, been a member for about 8 months now, you get what you pay for with a pure gym but it has everything I need, all the staff in here are super friendly, I go early in the morning and see the regulars which is nice it’s busy, but not too busy that you can’t use anything. You also get free parking in the morning too. I love coming here. If your looking for a good value gym this is the place to go!
