Fantastic experience: Great quiet gym, it's got everything you should need unless you're going for massive muscles

Positive experience: Typical Council pool, large pool at a reasonable temperature, small shallow kids pool available also. Gym on site with a number of machines available. Viewing area for swimming both pool side and near entrance.

Fantastic experience: I took a 10 year old swimming and he wanted to go in the deep end. Instead of just saying he couldn’t one of the staff took the trouble to walk at the side of the pool and encouraged him all the way. I didn’t get his name and I think he was Australian. A credit to the team.

Negative experience: Timetables are absolutely appalling. This pool isn't going to survive much longer if action isn't taken to at least make it so thr public can go swimming at decent times

Negative experience: I would of left no stars, took my 1 yr old to the pool today booked online only to get there and changed to walk out and the baby pool to be closed. We had to take her into the shallow end of the big pool which was cold water, we had a swim about for half an hour to look at my daughter who was with her dad to find her shivering to the point her jaw was clenched n her arms were shaking. We had to get out before our time was up. The changing rooms are absolutely freezing and the floors are dangerously slippery especially for someone who has to carry a small child across them, i really think something needs to be done about the changing rooms put safer flooring down and heat them up also i think they should either put some heat into the big pool either that or tell people upon booking if the kids pool is going to be closed.

Negative experience: tried to book online wouldn’t work , went to the pool a LONG drive wouldn’t let us in, had to wait by the pool for 2 HOURS for my friends parents to pick us up.

Fantastic experience: Comparing to 4 previously attended different pools, this one is clean, friendly staff. Child enjoys his swimming lessons. Experienced and nice coaches.

Negative experience: Poor quality of swimming lessons

Negative experience: Unfortunately you can never get a session for swim for all and can't even get one through the week for the little ones. Awful service for west Cumbria.

Positive experience: very easying booked on line, staff helpful, clean and tidy.

Negative experience: 1 star for the teacher. I take my child there as there isn't much choice locally. It's a bit of a shambles really. Cold change rooms, cold children's pool. The lessons just seem thrown together on the day and when the regular swimming teacher who is off (she is a good teacher) it gets worse and the confidence of all the children seems to drop. The staff on reception seem clueless as to what's going on with procedures of using the changerooms. They even contradict themselves from one week to the next.

Negative experience: Whilst pool is good, and a decent size, there is no chance of going swimming before work. Doesnt open before 7am unless you're part of the swim team. Closes before 4pm on a Thursday, before 7pm on a Friday and before 2pm on a Saturday. It makes it almost impossible to work full time and commit to a regular swimming schedule every day. Gym is fairly basic, but works adequately.

Negative experience: Utterly disgusting customer service. Website is a nightmare to book a baby session and you cannot talk to a member of staff over the phone. come to think of it customer service on the desk while I was pregnant and attending classes was the worst thing ever.

Fantastic experience: Excellent pool, the boys enjoyed their swim. Covid safety was observed so no issues, had to book in advance due to reduced numbers allowed in.

Fantastic experience: Lovely to be able to go swimming again, easy to pre book and only a about 10 people were in when we went. Will be booking regularly, especially in this heat. Lovely staff too.

Negative experience: Can't book swimming as " better" app does not work. Can't book in person. Need this for therapy. Prevented because council has sold off our facility to a money-grabbing enterprise

Negative experience: Aside from the really overpriced gym. The hot drinks machine has been out of order now for over year. This is annoying when your child has a swimming lesson and you would like a hot drink.

Positive experience: It's decent. I feel the pools are too hot. You don't get the refreshing feeling of cool water. Other than that it is good. I'd prefer more adult only times so that they are not so busy.

Positive experience: Nice pool. Kids one is lovely and warm. Check the times on the website first as its often got classes and adult only sessions which can restrict family swims.
