Welcome to PureGym Staines, a fitness center dedicated to providing a fantastic workout experience in a clean and friendly environment. With a range of classes and top-notch trainers, our gym is perfect for everyone, from beginners to seasoned athletes.
Many users praise our staff, particularly trainers like Josh, Valentina, and Marigona, for their supportive and motivational approaches during classes. Reviews highlight how our members leave feeling accomplished and energized after sessions such as the Body Pump and Legs Bums and Tums classes.

Fantastic experience: First day,at gym ,had trouble getting in with code,my fault didn’t press ok so asked for help,Mary came down ,showed me,offered to take me into the gym upstairs ,showed me around,got my lock for locker ,Mary showed me how that works ,really nice,pleasant,nothing to much trouble for her,didn’t mind going through it a few times. ,I’m old ,top class helpful woman thank you Marigona

Negative experience: It's generally a good gym, but the biggest problem is the state of the men's changing rooms & the flimsy lockers. Most of the lockers have been damaged by being broken into and don't close properly. The changing rooms are also messy, with possessions left lying around. It's a serious let down and they need improving as soon as possible.

Fantastic experience: I've been working with bazza ( barry) in pure gym staines for 2 years and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. He is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and motivating. He tailored my workout plan to fit my specific goals and always makes sure that I’m using the proper form to prevent injury. Thanks to his guidance and encouragement, I’ve seen significant improvements in my strength, endurance, and overall fitness. Bazza also brings a positive energy to every session, which makes working out something I truly look forward to. I highly recommend Bazza to anyone looking to take their fitness to the next level!"

Fantastic experience: Despite the issues with the facilities at PureGym Staines (I guess air conditioning and a working toilet might be too much to ask for on some days ) however what is always on point are the classes .. there’s not much that will get me out of bed early on a Sunday morning, but pump class with Josh does .. love it!!

Positive experience: Top scores for the personal trainers (especially for my favourite, Tyler T, but runners-up are Luke, Josh, Val, Merigona, etc). Things to improve: some gym-goers make a disgusting mess in the toilets and I would ban them.

Positive experience: It ticks most of the basic boxes, don't expect a David Lloyd's or Bannatynes. Peak times are usually 17:00 to 20:00, avoid if you can, unless you like standing around waiting.

Positive experience: Too crowded, no normal straight pull up bar… couple of running machines… not the best gym but still a gym

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. To make the most of the space where possible, though, we are always looking to expand and improve our facilities. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym. We always aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs and meet demand as it changes through the day, getting the balance right between weights and cardio, but if you have any specific suggestions please approach the Gym Manager. Fantastic experience: I believe this gym to be great value for the money. It's always clean and tidy. The staff are really friendly (especially Barry). The equipment is good and regularly maintained. Good atmosphere . Really convenient with being open 24hrs. I've been training for over thirty years, and this has been my favourite gym so far. I would highly recommend. I'm a geniue customer. Fantastic experience: I had my first spin class today with Joshua, I often go to spin but with it’s the first time with him as the instructor. It was different but not too different from the other classes, so I felt comfortable and confident and knew what I was doing. I personally think Joshua’s spin classes are the best I’ve been to so far and can’t wait to go to all of them. I feel absolutely incredible and I’m so thankful for his classes. Additionally he’s so friendly and encouraging! I strongly recommend going to his classes! ☺️

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I attend the body tone class every Sunday, the workout is great, we come out feeling really good after the session. The instructor Josh is brilliant, he makes everyone feel comfortable, he really encourages us all to keep going and uses lots of praise. Thanks Josh!

Fantastic experience: Vals classes are the hardest by far bit she seems to be able to motivate me more. She also does all the exersises with you, which makes it more if a group expereince.

Positive experience: Tonight I went to spin class, while it was a good, sweat inducing 30 minute work out my only minor criticism was Josh had no headset so was hard to hear at times while I was huffing and puffing, I'd recommend the class to anyone who enjoys cycling and wants to get fit

Fantastic experience: Val has been my personal trainer for the past year! She is an amazing personal trainer and has improved my physique considerably, she has pushed me to my limit and encouraged me to challenge myself. I have gained understanding of movements of my body, corrected my posture and lost my pregnancy weight and toned up! I will be continuing my journey with Val and highly recommend her service!
Fantastic experience: Weds evening Body Pump with Mari, great class but the 30mins is just too short with a warm up and down. A 45min class would allow a full work out in the alloted time frame. Recommended class and trainer but needs to be longer.

Fantastic experience: I’m giving 5 start for the simple fact that there’s no reception and that means no contract !!! I’ve been tied to a contract before and I ended up paying 2 more month because of that !!!! I hated it but this gym is great. I’ll edit this review in depth later on as I’m looking forward to use it

Negative experience: Never been there in the 78 years of my life, just happened to walk past the door
Negative experience: Really stuffy and the equipment is old. I went at an unstaffed time so because of this it was untidy. The classes are good but the gym itself is always packed. Plus the air quality inside is awful and I always get lightheaded- not ideal for when you’re exercising.

Negative experience: For a gym this size there’s almost no proper equipment, 1 bench and 2 squat racks, barbells suck and it’s super overcrowded. But well it’s cheap, you get a hat you pay for. Gym Group and Anytime Fitness are better options.

Negative experience: The worst PureGym I have ever trained at by far. Context: I spent a lot of the summer traveling for my work, meaning I would be traveling from gym to gym. I spent 6 weeks in this particular location as the drive to byfleet was a little out the way. Review: It was by far the worst PureGym I have been to. I will give credit where credit is deserved, the location is central and easy to get to, plenty of parking although crossing the bridge in peak times is very annoying. Location is very modern with nice facilities, staff seemed alright although I didn’t speak to any of them, the space itself is big spanning two floors. Changing rooms were nice and tidy, studios and cardio rooms were actually very good. Where this place lacks is the gym floor. They use the old style of PureGym layout so not the new rigs and just a lot of it is just a wasted space. The gym gets unbearably busy to the point you’re sharing machines with 4-6 other people and it’s just an awful experience. I tried playing around with different timings and I could never get there when it was somewhat quiet (ie not having to share equipment at the least.) This gym has a load of members and the gym just cannot facilitate so many people with a lot of misused space and wasted space. Finding weight plates was a whole another story as it was lacking significantly. I think this gym has a lot of potential given the location and members and whether they upgrade the facilities is unknown. Overall I would not recommend as it can be intimidating for new gym goers, and for us frequent goers it’s just not worth the hassle. Personally I always try to train in independent gyms as and where I can for this reason but unfortunately It just was not for me.

Positive experience: Facilities are pretty good. Showers get the job done but aren't the cleanest. Definitely my regular gym.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I have not been able to contact the company directly, and I hope to get an answer to my question at least here. I have been visiting your gym for more than a month, and I have never seen the Hip Adduction Machine in working condition, the leg cuffs in the Cable Machine are simply missing. If you are positioning yourself as a customer orientated company, please take action and fix everything. For a month I was hoping for an improvement, but nothing has changed. If you were waiting for a special sign, this is it.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. Fantastic experience: It’s my second day and the experience has been great so far. Keep the expectations realistic for the well priced plans that Puregym offers. There are often times when you have to wait for certain equipments to be free but it ain’t that long a wait.

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere and very clean and tidy, one of the best PureGym (ex virgin facility)
Negative experience: Cramped and dirty. Air conditioning broken for 2+ weeks in the middle of a heatwave. At the same time, no drinking water available due to low water pressure. Avoid at all costs!

Negative experience: Customer service at this place is not great at all. If you want to get abused by staff than it’s the place for you. Plus machines a lot of times aren’t working. I would recommend avoiding this gym at all Costs.

Negative experience: Loved this gym during all three visits. Great equipment, loads of space, and quite busy for some obvious reasons. Unfortunately, my encounter with one of the PTs ruined it all for me. My friend and I were doing stretches in one of the cardio rooms when we realized the stretching room with mats had been replaced by a free weight room with some benches. We couldn't find mats but spotted two mats with some equipment next to them in the cardio room. After we finished, we didn't realize that those mats did not belong there. We were approached by a staff member who was quite abrupt and told us to put the mats back. We tried to explain that we didn't put them there and that we didn't know where they belonged. He wouldn't listen and kept telling us to do so, becoming more agitated. My friend mentioned that he was rude and that there is a way to tell someone nicely, especially since we had no idea that the mats didn't belong there. The PT started to become aggressive and told us that if we thought he was rude, we should go to the office and shut up. I'm not sure if I can continue attending this gym after such an experience, knowing that we could bump into this person again. It's a shame, though, since the location was good for both of us.

Negative experience: Equipments are pretty descent, fantastic gym if you're going for cardio, but the weight lifting area is as crowded as a night club. Unfortunately have tried adapting my routine to hit the gym at different times, but it's always super busy. Unfortunately will have to look for other option around. Also, the lockers inside man's room are almost all destroyed. Hard to get one that you can properly lock your bag.

Negative experience: Avoid this gym, appalling behaviour from the Management. Dirty gym with filthy machines, unhygienic changing rooms. Meat cooking smells from below five guys dumped staight into the air within the gym. Management and staff more busy chatting away and about how good they look. Equipment always hogged.

Air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Negative experience: I found the changing rooms and shower to be always clean. Good range of classes. Large room for weights but always over crowded. After 6pm you can never find a free weight machine. Me and my partner have decided to leave this gym as it is impossible to do a good session in the evenings. I understand this is a business but they have too many members for the space/equipment available.

Negative experience: I am member of the gym for few years now. Instead of increase the quality is dropping day by day...the amount of machines which are not working or making noise is unbelievable. Full of groups and kids which are spending hours on one machine...and nobody saying nothing or some action towards. I hope something will change soon or appearance of a new gym near by.

Positive experience: If you fancy doing a workout go when it opens. If you fancy waiting for teenagers to finish "playing" on the machine or bench you need to complete your session then come join the frustrating fun here!

Positive experience: Only been going a week, but I have enjoyed the vibe. I'm a gym newbie but found the machines have clear explanations on them and the app that comes with the membership is excellent. It is clean, air-conditioned and not smelly like some places!! Staff too have been great, though the one time we went when it was unstaffed my wife entry code wasn't recognised and we had had to leave.

Positive experience: Quite a nice place, weights room was very full however cardio machines were empty which was nice. Staff were helpful for a new timer. My only problem was the difficulty in getting a waterbottle filled up regularly.

Positive experience: Very decent gym, spacious, clean and best part it has deadlift platforms! However, mens wash room has only one hands dryer, and once again PureGym owners please bring extra 25kg plates otherwise it’s big resting time while waiting for the weights.
Fantastic experience: My happy place. Huge gym with loads to do for everyone. Staff that I've interacted with are very friendly and helpful, but will leave you well alone if, like me, you need your own time. Broken kit seems to get replaced quite quickly and the place is fairly clean. Highly recommended if you live within driving distance.

Positive experience: I’m a pure gym member for a long time, and have visited too many different sites. Today I went to Staines and it’s wasn’t too bad. Some of the machines quite dirty and there is no hair straightners. Parking fee only after 6PM, what is sad. But Gym is huuuge! Good view. Welcoming staff. I’ll probably come back next time after 6pm because I hate to pay for parking
