Fantastic experience: Good for a swim

Negative experience: I had a dreadful experience at this establishment Thursday evening.I took a child to a swim lesson and the facilities were not looked after in any way at all. I just do not know where to start with the list of problems. On arrival the family changing cubicles were wet and smelly, other cubicles has clothes left strewn all over the seating. When finally changed the lockers were all open but full of clothes. The floors looked dirty. The whole time there we never saw a member of staff doing any maintenance or cleaning in the changing area. I actually felt unclean leaving the place. I will not be back.

Positive experience: Great swimming facilities.

Positive experience: A great centre with friendly staff and updated gym facilities. Although disappointingly, when things break they don’t get fixed quickly. The sauna has been out of order for over 3 weeks now which is unacceptable, and no one at front desk has any idea as to what’s wrong with it and when it will be fixed.

Positive experience: Good value for money, especially on a yearly payment. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Decent sized gym with a good selection of equipment.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym facilities since the upgrade last year with extensive equipment. Helpful friendly staff and pleasant members. Not a weight lifters gym.

Positive experience: Excellent value for money, has a great gym with good machines and weights. Can get a little busy at times, and the saunas need a good hygienic, clean, otherwise wonderful place for getting fit.

Positive experience: Great place for leisure time

Negative experience: My son asked to go here because his friends are there also, if was my choice he wouldn't be in this gym. We are paying, he went few times no issue, today they said to him and friends, they couldn't get in because there was no booking? Something that never was needed in all the times he went, plus the site doesn't allow to make any bookings. So I ask why am I paying for a gym that doesn't give any reassurance that will work properly.

Negative experience: The gym experience is still terrible, especially for the self conscious, but Everyone Active are slowly making it better. I'll start with the positives: - the lockers have been changed to support padlocks instead of requiring a pound coin - the gym has been upgraded and looks a lot nicer than before but that's about it: - there's only one spray bottle in the middle of the gym, so only one person can sanitise their equipment at a time - water fountain is hidden so you have to either ask where it is or really look for it - the new tap/scan rarely works, choosing a different leisure centre in the app and scanning your barcode is far better - the shower cubicles are really cramped, there's no space for hanging and anything you bring in is guaranteed to get wet especially with the new high pressure showers that spray water directly at the door - the hair dryers do not get very warm and aren't very high pressure so it can take a while to dry longer hair - parking is still paid for and still very small, despite most other EA locations being free (this might change once the brightwells parking is open) I don't visit too often but at the moment I wouldn't recommend the gym if you plan on using the changing rooms.

Positive experience: Nice friendly staff. The gym changing rooms could do with updating though, especially the showers and lockers. I havent used the pool but it's always busy. Lots of classes on offer. The gym is clean and well equipped. Also a little annoying that there's no free parking.

Positive experience: Great for swimming lessons and the staff are really friendly. Had a couple of birthday parties there too. They certainly tire the kids out!

Negative experience: Went swimming for the first time at this leisure centre with my two children. No issue with the pool or changing facilities but there seemed to be skating taking place in the main hall. Unfortunately the skaters were skating at full speed through the cafe and halls with no consideration for other customers. None of the staff said or did anything and this continued throughout our visit. We will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: I went for a massage. Magdalena was amazing I felt so much better and more relaxed

Negative experience: New management took money from my account even after I cancelled the account, without a direct setup they have taken money from my account

Positive experience: Nightmare to find them online, probably as recently taken over by Everyone Active. Quite chaotic, due to summer holidays. Took Body Balance class which was really well led by Christina, who was very encouraging and supportive. Unfortunately class won't run again until September, but will be going back when it resumes

Negative experience: I'm glad it's there, but the front of house staff and website are TERRIBLE Trying to book anything is a nightmare if not impossible. I've just spent 10 minutes trying to call the front desk and no one even picks up the phone anymore....

Negative experience: I find it hugely unacceptable and unethical how they can advertise juniors joining your membership for £1 and then when you join on the back of it a few days later it changes to £22 a month for them to join on a separate membership! At the very least there should have been a note on the website explaining that in a few days it would be under different ownership and that the offer would no longer be valid but no ...nothing.....very poor

Positive experience: Took my son here for a kids birthday party,so a bit hard to say what the leisure centre was like but it looked nice.

Fantastic experience: Great ‘sports centre’ with a really nice pool and gym. Space for badminton, five-a-side etc plus smaller rooms for more niche classes like karate and even pole dancing.

Fantastic experience: Great pool for training. Had a fast lane for swimmers. Enjoy the sauna after swim. Approx £42 per month for adult membership - can add 2 children for free

Fantastic experience: Love that you are able to book for the pool only! Always tricky to find a gym that allows you pool only access. Wonderful facilities! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Not a gym review really, but... We come here for the under 5 soft play and it is great. Some days are busier than others but our munchkin loves running around and playing with the toys

Negative experience: On 05 Mar 23. I went for swimming with my boy. There was a old lady in the reception ignored me when I ask for a ticket for swimming pool. However, a man came after me and ask her about something and the reception lady help him nicely. This clearly shows that there is no equally treat to all the people in today’s world.

Positive experience: Nice pool and spacious changing rooms - great for a family.

Negative experience: Yesterday I called reception at Farnham Leisure Centre. I asked if their baby pool was available for today drop ins today. We were told that it was open to the general public at 1130. We happily turned up with our sixth month old looking forwards to the session only to be told at the door that sorry, the pool was closed due to a school swim gala and that we should have checked social media. Horrible service. Why would we check social media when we talked to you directlyyesterday?

Positive experience: Look this place is cheap and cheerful and very much of a council experience but it gets the job done well. Staff are always helpful in what must be a very boring job. Parking is only free round the back after 7 p.m. before that you have to pay at the meter

Positive experience: Nice pool for swimming lengths. Water is the perfect temp. Normally not that busy. Followed by a sauna in the change rooms. Always leave feeling good.

Fantastic experience: Only went to donate blood. Had coffee and cake in the cafe while waiting for bus home. Pre-wrapped muffin was stale and coffee 3/4 foam. Cost £5.40. Can't comment on the facilities.

Fantastic experience: Great place to exercise the staff are good at their jobs. This is good for me as getting over a heart attack, so have a cardio program tailored to me.

Positive experience: We had fun on a family fun time only thing that lets the swimming pool down is how dirty the changing rooms were quite disgusting dirty floors could do with a big clean and the scum that’s round the sides of the pool didn’t really want to touch the sides apart from that brilliant place to go.

Positive experience: We mostly use the leisure centre for swimming. Staffs are friendly enough. The swimming pool especially the teaching pool always seems to have sand/dirt around the edges/corner of the pool. The pools are always on the colder sides both teaching & main. Even after many people complain they say it is what it is. We use this leisure centre only when we can't find booking in other leisure centre (Guildford & Camberley) due to water temperature issues and 50% of the time the hair dryer are not functional. 3 stars for affordability, nice warm shower spaces & easy access to both teaching & main interchangeably.

Positive experience: Good clean happy to cool off after the hot sun.

Positive experience: Went lane swimming and the lanes were far too narrow, causing people to bump into each other, especially as it was very busy. To top it off, the swim tag failed to record my swim. The rest of the facilities are ok.

Fantastic experience: Love this place. Help us with the roller hockey every Sunday. Great staff too. Only compliant would be that the cafe shuts at 5 and we are there until 8 and no coffee available! Other than that, all is good.

Negative experience: Decided to go for a lane swim session was not impressed when I wanted a de stress after work. There was 3 young boys jumping and messing around near the deep end… was not happy as they were splashing and nearly jumped on me the life guards were not doing anything about it in the end I did have a go at them but they didn’t listen. Not very happy with my experience at all.

Negative experience: Very disappointed went swimming tonight after a long hard day at work . It was clearly lane swimming which should have been relaxing , but no 3 kids were jumping in the pool while people were trying to swim shouting and generally being nuisance , nothing was done to stop this . We ended up leaving early . This behaviour was not acceptable .

Positive experience: Children's swimming pool needs to be warmer but a great place for children

Fantastic experience: Very handy leisure centre. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Lot's of activities are there. Possibility to hire for birthday parties. The organise soft play for little one's. Like it.

Negative experience: Staff were friendly, however we only stayed for 5 minutes as the kids pool was freezing.

Positive experience: The layout is a little quirky, making navigating to the entrance a bit confusing but the pool is nice and staff pleasant for a decent price. The parking could be improved as their isn't much and is cash or app only but is free on Sundays and bank holidays.

Positive experience: Due to covid its gone down hill unable to swim unless u book and its a bit outdated ..but its OK of u just want to visit u local pool or gym...its in the town easy parking ..clean and staff are friendly ..hopefully once the regeneration is finished the council will update the rest of the town

Negative experience: My child attends swimming lessons here. There is regular movement of teachers covering lessons - which is fine-ish, I guess. However I have a major issue with parents who leave their children's clothes in changing rooms while their child swims for 30 mins (why would you do this?) Changing rooms are often "full" as a result. Please do something about this Farnham!

Fantastic experience: My son has 1-2-1 swimming lessons there, his birthday party recently and the staff are super friendly and the place overall is really clean.

Fantastic experience: They are doing a great job of running the place in strange CV19 times.

Positive experience: A reasonable pool complex, although the learner's pool is a little bit dark and dingy and on last visit the changing rooms were a bit miserable. Covid measures are a little bit confusing and on our first visit since they reopened, things like the process for the changing rooms was not explained to us so we had no idea of how it worked.

Fantastic experience: Swimming lessons back up and running well!

Positive experience: Social distancing in gym seems to work. Didn't like the exit above the swimming pool. When you're exhausted, the last thing you want is a lungful of chlorine from the pool.

Fantastic experience: The leisure centre is fully open. Covid-19 issues are a thing of the past now. The gym has the normal disintectant sprays and paper towels available. The centre has undergone a major refurbishment and re-branding with Everyone Active, but the majority of the staff are the same. They are very friendly and its good to see more activities. The equipment in the gym is impressive; however, when its busy there doesn't appear to be a lot of free space! So be patient and attentive! Watch out for all the parties in the function rooms and main hall during weekend afternoons. Car parking is at the rear but can get full when parties are being held or children's gymnastics is on. There is a good-sized swimming pool that is very popular. The dry changing rooms have cosy, hot saunas.

Negative experience: First time here & would definitely not recommend for Lane Swimming. Very unclean (clumps of hair and dirt in pool & changing rooms) and no rules about children behaving inappropriately (screaming, spitting in water and splashing swimmers) whilst others are trying to swim in lanes. Did not use their toilets and would dread to think what conditions they are kept in. When asking lifeguards to resolve the problem they where very negligent and their reply was “there’s nothing we can do”. Lady on reception was lovely and very helpful but will unfortunately not be returning to Farnham Leisure Centre.

Fantastic experience: I’ve used Farnham sports centre for years and it’s great! Amazing variety of classes, online booking, clean changing rooms, friendly and helpful staff and decent equipment. It’s not the most well equipped nor is it the swankiest sports centre but the price is reasonable and, for me, it’s performance is therefore above and beyond.

Fantastic experience: Good classes, even for beginners, helpful staff, clean and a good place for kids too.

Fantastic experience: Very impressed helpful Staff, Clean Tidy, good signage. Lifeguard very understanding of my health issues and being disabled help was readily available when trying to get out of the pool even offered support to walk back to changing rooms.

Positive experience: Generally good with wide variety but needs upgradation for cardio machines or at least refurbishment of equipment.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym, just a few gym types in there xD pool is OK, nothing special for younger kids (there is a toddler pool) but for adults just looking for lengths it's perfect and clean. Big space for courts for badminton, basketball. There is a sauna (in mens i imagine women's too) which is nice after a workout. They have multiple vending machines on ground floor with a seating area in view of the pool, so you could watch friends swimming. There is a shower unit as well.

Negative experience: Visit the bowling center weekly which has gone down in my estimation badly. Lots of break downs in our league bowling. Ruins the night and nothing is any different the next week same problems.
