Positive experience: The lockers were broken, which made it difficult to secure my belongings. To make matters worse, the changing rooms were freezing cold, making it uncomfortable to change. Overall, the facilities felt neglected and in need of urgent maintenance.

Positive experience: Decent public swimming pool with great opening hours and loads of different programmes. The team come across really helpful and friendly, always on hand when you have questions etc. only thing that could do with improving is a bit of a face lift, refurb/repaint and maybe some new lockers, but on all the essentials they are getting it right.

Negative experience: Pool was dirty and all could smell I'm changing rooms was urine. And they were filthy.

Positive experience: Great toddler pool for kids, looses a star because it’s so cold getting changed afterwards, could definitely up the heating, especially in the family changing rooms where as parents you’re inevitably left shivering in your costume making sure the kids are dry and changed first! Also the lockers are old and get jammed easily, could do with an update. Overall nice and clean, staff were very friendly and helpful and liked that we could use the floats as I’d forgotten to bring arm bands for my daughter.

Fantastic experience: Decent swimming pool - I use it quite regularly and always find the staff helpful, the water is the right temperature for swimming and the facilities are good. I'd recommend it if you're local and fancy a swim.

Positive experience: It's ok in summer but in winter the water is always freezing. The staff does not know that the pool's temperature should change throughout the year and not remain the same. Overall, it's a good place.

Fantastic experience: Very good inspiration if your looking for somewhere to swim and a huge pool and a good size but the baby pool should be open more since every time I’ve been to the swimming to the baby pool is Always shut and the floaty is NEVEr on but other then that it is really amazing very clean I do recommend if your looking for somewhere to have a nice relaxing swim

Fantastic experience: Amazingly friendly and well behaved instructors and very clean pools. I recommend it highly for kids looking to learn swimming in heated, well kept and encouraging instructors.

Positive experience: Kids enjoyed the pool during half term. The place was clean and staff very friendly. It's a shame theirs nothing there to entertain the kids especially in the pool area.

Positive experience: Small but decently equipped gym and pool.

Positive experience: Firstly, for a town the size of Newhaven it is far too small. Especially in the post covid days. The gym is looking tired and worn. No proper fluids or wipes for machines, the drinking faucet doesn’t work. The pool is far too regimented with very little free swimming time. Even when the swim is a free one with no slow, medium or fast lanes, there is nothing for giving everyone a nice time while there. Floats, rings or inflatables…swimming is meant to be fun!! The staff are friendly, may let a ‘smile at people’ class would be a good training module for them. Haven’t done the classes yet but truly, go to the Downs in Seaford, different world…unless swimming in lanes at the correct speed is your thing. Pictures to follow. Change 13/9. I added an extra star as the pool and changing are more than adequate.

Fantastic experience: The operations manager here is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Great customer care from this place. Shame lewes leisure centre cannot offer the same level of manager ability.

Positive experience: This pool has kindly been an absolute gem and treated me and my mum very well. I’m teaching my mum to swim and they have kindly allowed us to have a float and the slow lane. Staff are lovely and is very organised with times and cleanliness of the pool. The service and staff are so cool and approachable and make our experience at the pool nice and comfortable for us. They deserve a bonus for there friendliness

Positive experience: I didn't like getting undressed in front of everyone. The water was lovely but 10 to a lane is too many. The exit needs better sign posting, the step straight outside needs a warning, if I hadn't looked down as I opened the door I would have fallen out of it! and the path needed sweeping, there were dirty fallen leaves and tissues on the ground and perhaps a sign outside saying something along the lines as hope you enjoyed your swim please come again just to make it feel less like being kicked out the back of a nightclub!!!

Positive experience: Looking a bit tatty round the edges and the changing rooms were not the smartest. Pool not too bad though.

Fantastic experience: The pool is lovely. Changing rooms are all right. Not too bad to get in. And they don't need loose change to lock lockers. You'll be amazed how many places still need pound coins.

Negative experience: This place has gone downhill in the last few years. I feel I should preface this by saying that I have been coming to this leisure centre for over 10 years and used to work there. The staff used to be really friendly, now they couldn't care less. The standard of cleanliness was never amazing but it, too, has gone down the pan. The changing rooms look like they haven't been updated for 20+ years. The gym is tiny and not really fit for purpose anyway, but they now seem to allow teenagers and children in there (there used to be an age limit for using the gym, and a higher age limit for the free-weights) and so the place is just littered with teenagers sitting around in big groups chatting or using their phones, meaning you can't actually get on any of the equipment you pay to use. The gym instructors, again, used to be really friendly and helpful (BRING BACK HANNAH) but now they just seem to employ youngsters who couldn't care less and sit around in the office on facebook (or quite often people comment that they just sit there watching films!) I am considering trying the Downs in Seaford before admitting defeat and going to another company entirely.... If you are joining purely to use the gym I would avoid Seahaven like the plague!! For swimming it is acceptable. Just don't expect anything other than general rudeness from the staff - people-skills are in short supply.

Negative experience: The facilities are filthy. Just one example that anyone can check: the air conditioning vents haven’t been cleaned since inauguration day. That gives you the level of their standards for anything, not just the cleaning.

Negative experience: Nice, if plain kids pool that is more often than not nice and warm. Decent main pool and friendly staff.bit one of the most unclean establishments I've been to. The changing rooms are often dirty with broken locks (like the lockers) . Staff often leave pools sectioned off even if no lessons are taking place and rarely police unruly behaviour. It's cheap but not that cheerful.

Positive experience: Seahaven has a 25 meter swimming pool which seems to be quite popular. Swimming lessons can be booked and there are also aerobics twice a week. The gym is small but popular. If you take out a membership you can use all these facilities and also have access to classes. You can use the gyms at Peacehaven and Seaford.

Negative experience: Pool is more often than not kept at a reasonable temperature however the changing areas often feel dirty and extremely cold. This swimming pool has 1 communal shower with about 8 showers

Negative experience: 4th time I've been with my children and the 2nd time the pool has been faulty and cold. Lasted 5 minutes and the children couldn't stay in any longer. Also the communication at this place is appalling, looked on line for bank holiday opening times and it says see school holiday time table.....that isn't on the website so I call and speak to someone, perfect they tell me what times I can bring my children in the morning. We arrive and get told we only have 20 minutes because there is a s0ecial booking from half 9. Amazing, couldn't tell me that the day before.
