Positive experience: Although the changing rooms are a little tired, the pool at Rossmore, in my opinion, is one of the best, if not the best municipal pool in the area. The water quality is really good and I love that the whole of one side of the pool area is glass which makes it feel light & airy.

Negative experience: Sorry to say this place is stinks!! It’s In desperate need of a good deep clean especially in the changing room area!! It’s really bad!! The floor and the changing rooms are really dirty, and the smell is awful

Positive experience: I am honestly so bored of this gym and fed up with the lack of accountability! Been a member on and off for a while now and the only reason I ever join is because its in the most convenient location for me! Other than that, the staff are there but not present. The swimming teachers are over-run with classes full of toddlers unable to swim. The gym rarely has a member of staff around to assist and after paying for PT sessions nearly a year ago I am yet to actually make use of them! Trying to book them has been IMPOSSIBLE due to a change in 'gym management' and none of the PTS being reachable as they are Self Employed. After multiple emails to cancel these sessions due to not being able to book, they finally agreed and stated they had 'refunded' my money, but after 6 months I am yet to receive the actual funds! I am advised that this has been completed yet they cannot send me any confirmation even though I have proof it never reached my account, now they don't even respond to my emails! Other than the convenience of location, there is nothing else about this gym I can compliment!

Positive experience: It's a brilliant place for classes, but their cctv dose not extend to the bike rack just the car lot, which being a fitness center they should be encouraging this kind of transport. so they don't protect their members property while using there facilities. Please check your bikes before riding on them after leaving this leisure center . Mine was sabotaged, and I ride home going down alder hills, I could have actually been put in intensive care or been killed. Please be careful when leaving your bikes here.

Negative experience: It's really not okay. It's not clean. Although it appears well staffed they're not actually doing much. Aging facilities are acceptable because we're all trying to save the planet and make do. But somehow I think Everyone Active have their fingers in the till looking at the state of these public facilities they're running on behalf of the local community. Does the BPC Council pay them money for this? The management are lazy and the staff attitude is resigned defeat. Even a membership enquiry from a disabled person with a Doctor's referral is not enough reason to bring them to action. Ignoring the needs of the disabled is passive discrimination but it's a crime nonetheless. In the bigger picture the more senior actor in the position of authority must bend their ways to assist those seeking help. I have this documented if Everyone Active wants to challenge me. Just another sick building with sad people. Avoid.

Positive experience: Probably better equipped than some actual gyms, swimming pool and changing rooms are excellent, with good showers and other facilities. Hair dryers cost 20p and lockers are 50p, however the rest of the premises is cashless, so don't expect to be able to get change if you don't have the exact amounts.

Positive experience: I play wheelchair rugby in the main sports hall most weekends. I have been critical of the standard of cleaning in the main sports hall, in the past. However it is much cleaner now. The staff, who work hard, are still friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: Highly accessible, from parking all the way through the changing room and into the pool area. Cashless though so take a 50p for the lockers!

Positive experience: Thoroughly enjoyed it but not happy about TWO life guards on ONE side of the pool. My grandson fell in at the deepest part of the pool whilst I was getting a ball for him. Neither lifeguard saw this as they were on the opposite side! Fortunately I heard him cry out Nanny HELP me! I did speak to the lifeguard about the lack of supervision on the opposite side but he told me that this is how your pool functions! Well fortunately I heard my grandson and managed to get to him in time but if I hadn't well who knows what the outcome may have been. With this in mind I do believe it to be a matter you need to address with some urgency before something bad happens.

Positive experience: Love swimming here. Really wish there was more than an hour or two a day when the pool was open for public swimming. Makes it hard to fit in time to go. For Someone working full time there is often only lane swimming available in the week. Very boring. In fact the whole pool never send to just be open for fun. There's always a section ripped off for something, but a lovely pool.

Fantastic experience: Frequent visitor of the Rossmore swimming pool (myself and children) and occasional visor of the soft play with our kids. Both awesome. The soft play is only small but our kids love it.

Negative experience: In regards to swimming lessons, changing rooms are always packed with parents reserving a room by putting their kids clothes inside leaving others kids cold whilst waiting for a vacant cubicle. There are never spaces to sit and watch your child swim with others sat looking at their phone's, which could be done in the car. Most swimming teachers are great though. Update* Since lockdown they REALLY went downhill. Inconsistency with the teacher, friends which were made were all split up & although silver hats are experienced swimmers the kids were just told to do as many laps as they could until time was up with no new skills taught or interaction with the members. A real shame as it was the one sport my child used to enjoy attending every week.

Fantastic experience: I joined Rossmore as a doctors referral, I have to say that Catherine’s positive attitude is encouraging to us all. Everyone is so happy to be part of it. I highly recommend it. I would love to see more classes. thank you to all the staff they make it all a good experience.

Fantastic experience: Love this leisure centre . The staff are all so lovely and exceptionally helpful. Both in person and when I called to ask about the swimming sessions . The pool is probably the best kept secret in Poole. It's beautiful in its design with a big sweeping curved roof of wooden panels. It feels very spacious when you swim . The water is a lovely temperature, neither too hot or too cold. The changing facilities are not separated which makes life easy for people who need to assist their partner in changing as well as families. It's a busy place with many classes taking place. I've used the gym in the recent past which is also great. Plenty of equipment and well ventilated with both fresh and air conditioning Monthly membership is very well priced and good value for money

Negative experience: Evening time desk staffs and Managers are absolutely fine. But in Day time had many bad experience from front desk . Not enough lights on main hall.

Fantastic experience: Nice place to get some sport activities, confortable, with a lots of facilities, canteen, good attention, good prices, soft play for kids, saloon for meetings and parties. I go there with confidence.

Positive experience: Overall is a great place, it has space for improvement and upgrades but can't complain. I just recently joined and came from The Gym (before the pandemic member) and compared with Rossmore Leisure gym I can say that if your full gym geek probably the best would be The Gym , but if enjoying swimming too I would say go to Rossmore Leisure C. In regards of improvements I wish it had sauna as well and probably more gym equipments.

Negative experience: Been coming here for a while and it functions as a gym but the equipment is a bit old and some is damaged but the worst thing is sometimes you come and it is just full of school kids and they take over the gym and use all of the equipment in the gym so you can't workout yourself and this is really annoying and they should definitely close the gym whilst it's on or do something about it as the kids were just messing about anyway

Positive experience: As much as I love the Rossmore Leisure Centre the website experience is terrible and putting off. Booking application is buggy and not user friendly. At the reception I wasn't able to find information about swimming classes and was referred the website which I truly hate.

Positive experience: Went swimming at Rossmore today. Booked online via the app, didn't have a membership card or anything like that, but reception booked me in and gave me a card for scanning my self in next time (all Covid safe) The advice on the website is to go ready to swim, which I did. You now enter the pool area via the viewing section, the make your way around the pool (or be directed to when it's busy) to a red cross. This is where you put your stuff and get changed. I booked medium lane (you choose this job the app), there were two other people using it, so plenty of space, not sure how it would work with 10 people per lane (the maximum for booking also displayed in the app). Once you're done swimming (50 mins max), grab your stuff and you leave via the fire exit at the back and then wander round to the front to grab your bike/car. This was fine for me as I was wearing my triathlon shorts and cycling top for riding back home. Might be less fun if you're driving or if it's not sunny :-) Overall great Covid safety and really happy just to have the pool back open, but it might not work for everyone.

Negative experience: I am absolutely disgusted with this place. I paid a years membership for swimming only, but have found that they often close the lanes without notice even though they are scheduled to be open. Half way through my swim today, I was kicked out of the lane I was using so that a private club could use it for themselves. I was under the impression that this was a public swimming pool and since I have paid my membership fee then surely I should be allowed to use the lane. According to the timetable, the lanes are rarely available anyway, so I plan my swimming trip accordingly. This is clearly not enough because if a club turns up and demands a lane then they are immediately closed to the public in order to accommodate. Sadly, all the regular swimmers are forced to cut their swim short and go home whenever this happens.

Fantastic experience: I have just spoken to a wonderfully great operator called Kira she he helped me me when nobody else would I thank you Keira and I think Rossmore gym everyone Active for understanding my reasons for putting my gym on hold I am in hospital at the moment so they put my account on hold for me which is brilliant and I thank you very much

Positive experience: Would give it more, if only the members changing room was updated! Stinky, old looking changing room, old showers and just not to the standard of a normal changing room. Plus side, gym opens nice and early! Nice gym and not to busy! Staff have been helpful.

Negative experience: Commenting as a swimming pool user and a parent of a gymnast. Changing rooms are limited and dirty. There are only 6 showers for a pool full of children. Classes are so full that after a year my daughter had not learned to swim but did so after only 8wks of moving somewhere else. Children sit on the pool side freezing for most of the class. Pool is also too cold for children. Gymnastics- two year waiting list and after that minimal teaching, over a third of the class is spent warming up, very slow progress. Would go elsewhere if available locally. Not impressed. Toilets stink and all floors are filthy. Hardly anywhere to sit to wait children to finish as there are a small number of chairs for all the parents of children in swimming and gymnastics. Although parking is ample, there are so many classes at the same time it is always a struggle to find a space and the queue out of the car park is often so long it takes 10min to get out. So not impressed and only using begrudgingly as nothing else available locally.

Fantastic experience: It's a nice place to go for a workout good people good service reasonable price you can do just about anything here aerobics to water aerobics as I have a big swimming pool you can just buy something to eat if you want or you can have Personal Training you can have massages in there you can go into the weights room where you got all different machines for cardiovascular or just for general physio have a load of physiotherapists in there too yes it's your place very replace I was in hospital lately and they took the month after I was in hospital I was in hospital again so I'm hoping they do the same again I have not been about 5 months now I've paid for a few of them but I need some help with him dropping another month off as I've not been thank you

Fantastic experience: I have only used the gym during rehab from bad calf strain and have found it perfect for this and to maintain and improving core fitness. Well fitted out with friendly, competent and helpful staff. Reasonably priced with some very good membership deals.
