Positive experience: Very poor signage. Google took us to the "right place" but because it's on a school grounds it was not sign posted so we ended up going to horley sports centre because we couldn't understand where the Oakwood one was. It wasn't until we asked a member of Staff at the Horley centre that we were told to go back to the school and you have to drive through the arches and turn left. We had missed 20 minutes of a child's party due to the confusion. The children had fun, none the less at the Roller skate party.

Fantastic experience: My son had his 5 birthday funzone party here.. the staff was amazing they help play and clean up after the children so helpful kind and friendly. Highly recommend completely stress free and the kids had so much fun. GREAT value for money !!

Fantastic experience: Trampoline classes - well organised

Negative experience: Good for the average folk, terrible for people who try to actually build muscles which defeats the whole point of a gym. The lack of variety, even if it's a tiny gym, shocks me. The eGYM is horrendous line of machines. The chest press is felt in you front delt even with correct form as taught for the "instructors" ( a random bloke with an eGYM and Oakwood Sports Logo) The latpulldown is very weird with little range of motion and with the instructor-taught technique, it was more of a bicep workout. The rest of the machines are fine but some times the leg curl doesn't fit to you legs properly even tho it was specially adjusted for you. Children also aren't allowed to use free weights or the fitness garden, which is a ridiculous rule as if they can't use the whole point of a gym, then you shouldn't offer memberships to these ages and futhermore, ALL children who use the free weights section or garden aren't getting their heads chopped off by barbells but actually instead, using the free weights correctly with good form and with actual want to grow muscles. If you do, however, dare to use this section at even the age of 15, as you have to be 16+, the worst happens to you. As the muscle start to contract, a member of staff walks up to and gives you a reminder, staring deeply into your eyes, that we aren't allowed to be in this sector of the sports centre. God forbid children use a gym for it's purpose.

Positive experience: Only used the 3G pitches here but good value & great fun.

I have some back problems etc but felt supported but more importantly understood. I am 4 weeks in and starting to feel that I may be achieving something. More than that I actually enjoy it. Fantastic experience: Oakwood Gym is fantastic, especially for those with disabilities like myself. They have plenty of knowledge of nutrition as well as fitness and cater to all your needs. They also have plenty of classes to choose from, and at all times of the day. I've been coming 10 months now and won't go anywhere else.

Positive experience: I was only there for a children's party, as they appeared to enjoy it, it must be a good place.

Fantastic experience: For anyone looking to join a gym I would highly recommend Oakwood. I am very much a gym virgin so wasn’t sure it’d be for me, but Dan has been very welcoming, knowledgable with my needs and requirements and reassuring to me. I have tried nearly all the different classes since joining, enabling me to choose which suit me better. Class instructors (particularly Sophie C, Sophie K, and Sammy) are great, very friendly and will always give you easier/ harder options depending on your level of fitness. The gym and egym are great and well equipped. Very clean and communication is very good.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, great staff. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Equipment is new and the CV-19 measures in place work well. Everyone is responsible for cleaning down the equipment after use so it works well.

Fantastic experience: Great local gym. The egym resistance machinery is fantastic, and they have a good selection of free weights to use in fair condition. Hopefully the free weights area can be enlarged again as it is cramped there. The staff are always excellent, and there are always instructors available for advice should it be needed!

Fantastic experience: Really friendly staff, make you feel welcome and wanted there. Gym users are friendly to.

Negative experience: Gave over 2 weeks notice to cancel before next payment and said I would moving away, they say they are billing me another month when they know I'm not even here. Takes 2 mins to cancel a direct debit, no excuse for these terms in contract to screw people over.

Fantastic experience: The trainers are amazing. Dan, Clare, Hannah, all of them.

Positive experience: I play badminton there quite regularly. Improvements could be made, the lighting isant the best and the lines for the courts are wearing out. I cant comment however on the other facilities as I haven't used them.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Oakwood sports centre for at least 25 years and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. I do 4 to 6 classes a week and feel I get a good work out from all of them as well as enjoying the social side of it. The instructors and reception staff are all very helpful and friendly.

Positive experience: The staff are always both welcoming and knowledgeable.There is a 'friendly' environment with both the gymnasium and classes suitable for those of varying age and levels of fitness with the e-gym being popular with both new and long term members.

Fantastic experience: This gym is a very friendly space to work out at. I started coming here about 4 years ago and I attend 4/5 times a week. There is a gym but I mostly take part in the classes as I enjoy them more. All the Trainers are friendly and encourage me to work hard and improve my fitness. Although I’m a lot fitter now, I wasn’t when I joined. I was seriously overweight but I can honestly say I’ve only ever recieved support and encouragement for trying from the staff. Great place to get fit and make friends while you do.

Positive experience: It's OK. It's just a gym for £30 a month. As it's in a school the classes are In the school halls. Good classes though. The gym seems very futuristic with its self teaching scheme.

Positive experience: The outdoor football pitches need their fences raised by at least 10 metres.

Negative experience: Broken equipment, contacted staff as my son hurt himself and no one was interested. Most staff are 16 and do not know how to deal with problems.
