Fantastic experience: Was great in the 80s. Shame it's not there now

Fantastic experience: Fantastic new sports centre. Pool, gym and studios. Really nice changing facilities and very nice helpful staff.

Fantastic experience: Great pool, lovely friendly staff. Very clean changing rooms... although really blooming cold draft when you get out. Both pools warm but splash area chilly could do with ambient temperature increasing a bit to make it more enjoyable when out the pool. Only criticism is having to book 2 sessions makes it pricey for a swim as kids want longer than a hour.. worked well for us an hour in main pool and an hour in small pool

Fantastic experience: Obviously in Covid lockdown everything is different these days but EveryoneActive have put in place a swim and leisure booking App which is a joy to use. I have done more fitness now than I ever did. Manager, Steve, and great friendly staff, always smiling, and the whole experience is great. Good range of aerobic and static gym equipment and there are some classes too.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of taking my children to Splash in the final week before lockdown as part of a family holiday in North Norfolk. I chose Splash as a swimming destination as they seemed to have a good COVID set up. I was not disappointed. I think they have done a fantastic job and based on the operation they have set up I think they could certainly be considered COVID secure. Yes there are no changing rooms. But you can arrive ready to swim and getting changed is no different to what you would do at a beach. We’re all grown ups. Well done Splash and I hope to visit you again. Thanks Liz Bannister

Negative experience: Wow iv used splash for a very long time kids love it and I understand during the current situation its hard but I'm appalled that me and my kids had to get changed infront of multiple people including people outside and people using the gym felt very uncomfortable including multiple other people who were getting changed my daughter ended up going home in a wet swim suit because she didn't want to get changed infront of people not happy at all and will not be going back any time soon!.

Positive experience: This facility is very dated now, the fixtures and fittings are showing their age. Also the main infrastructure is tatty and in places obviously severely deteriorated . Having said that , it's still safe to use and is clean and children love it ,there is a shallow end for non swimmers and deepens slowly. The wave machine still works and is set off hourly. There are always life guards at the side of the pool and from previous experience , they are quite vigilant. There are lockable lockers for bathers to use. There are single and family changing rooms, showers for after your swim and hair driers too. There is a sauna and toilets poolside. The local Primary school uses the pool every Tuesday afternoon during term time , which means the pool is closed to the general public, it does however reopen at 3,30 pm. Next to reception is a large disabled changing room, which can access both the swimming pool and the gym. The gym is compact but has a good range of equipment. There are instructors available for consultation and assistance if required. There is also a variety of classes available to join , such as aerobics, spinning, yoga, pilates and swimming lessons are available for both children and adults. There is a new facility in the process of construction at the front of the original building, which conceals Splash ,but it is business as usual.

Positive experience: Its such a shame that those that be are doing away with the wave machine, I mean that's why so many people go right!? I believe they are going to have inflatables in the next pool, that's great for swimmers, but what about toddlers, walk through showers? Yeah that won't get boring to fast.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic wave machine, little ones can just walk in on own. such a shame the new one is being built.

Positive experience: Convenient, friendly and welcoming family pool

Fantastic experience: Fun way to spend a few hours on a cold, wet day. Family enjoyed it. Warm pool, slide's ok and wave machine was alright but could have gone off more frequently.

Positive experience: Showing its age, new build underway. Always a safe bet for the kids, no booking required. No time limit. Wave machine and water slide are fun for children of all ages.

Negative experience: Been coming to splash whilst being on holiday, I came with my husband and children and our friends and their children 12 altogether, I was absolutely shocked to find out the wave machine and water slide wasnt on because it was out of season, how on Earth is the 16th of July out of season.

Negative experience: Came in today and told the swimming pool is not open until 12 for the public and now they're doing the wave machine as well with a child that it was on 4 in the evening

Fantastic experience: There a wave pool and a water slide. What's not to love! Thought it was priced a little on the high side but we could stay as long as we liked and the water was pretty warm. Overall it's well worth a visit.

Positive experience: Great pool warm and clean. Loved this pool but for the price; for 2 adults and 6 kids cost us over £50!!!!!! Am loath to criticise as the staff were so, so lovely. The kids loved the slide and wave machine. However, could not have anticipated the cost. The super chap on the desk was clearly embarrassed to charge us that amount, v polite!

Fantastic experience: Welcoming and efficient

Positive experience: Plenty of free parking, staff were all helpful and friendly. Pool was good, we took our 2 month old and she loved it. Entry price is more than reasonable and they stock everything if there was something you needed on the day. I would say the facilities and building in general is very tired and would benefit from a refurb in particularly changing area. Probably will look closer to home before travelling as far next time (1 hour) but a good day nonetheless.

Fantastic experience: We visit Norfolk for a week every year and use Sheringham pool almost every day. Its warm, clean and never over crowded. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It has a wave machine and a flume. Great pool.

Positive experience: Update for 2019: Went Tuesday and despite the pool being public and open till 10pm I was turned away. It was schools only. Given the distance I travel to this pool (due to he overcrowding and often closed to the public nature of my local pool -riverside) this was annoying. The times on Google need to be edited to reflect when the pool is closed to the public to save such long journeys. The staff were good about it and recommended another pool. Which was more expensive and overpopulated, not the staff fault ofcourse. Original review: Went thier to access joining as my local pool at Riverside is very rarely OK to swim at, what I found was a very empty pool, had it largely to myself, a bonus for anyone that wants a relaxing swim free from screaming kids and people randomly crossing your lane. Only got charged £5.50 for entry which was an absolute bargain for practically private hire lol The wave machine I remember from my youth still exists but alas wasn't due to be turned on for an hour or two after I had to leave (though I could of stayed had I the time, I believe) Top tip, the lockers use one pound coin as a deposit (you get it back) so be sure to have one. Reception are happy to look after your motorcycle helmet too, which would never fit into one of thier lockers, though I did get all my bike armour, boots and clothes into one so not that small!

Positive experience: Brillant swiming, lane swiming and waves and slide for kids also sell swiming cosrumes and floats. They have a small gym tennis courts and lots of diffrent exercise classes. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: The kids love visiting here, it's not the world's biggest pool but the wave machine is good fun. That have a good slide too, the kids enjoy it. Kids of 5 - 6 will just be hitting the height requirement mark for the slide. Plenty of changing cubicles and showers. Changing tables. Mirrors and hairdriers. Drying machine and snack machines. Worth visiting if you are in the area.

Fantastic experience: Can't really fault it, it's local and I've been there since I was little, it could do with more of the bigger changing rooms , maybe some bigger lockers. that's only because there is 6 of us going swimming. Good waiting viewing area up top with useful toddler toys. Can't comment on the fitness section, seems well equipped from passing by. Wave machine is cool, they seem to have turned it down slightly which is a bit better. And a neat flube.

Positive experience: A very clean pool but high in chlorine, peak times limit you to 1 hour max and this is monitored very closely. The wave machine come on roughly every 20 minutes but only stays on for about 4-5 minutes at a time. Looking dated now the whole complex needs updating but still a great pool to take the children.

Negative experience: Was going well until a few of the men in the pool saw that the 2 young life guards was making gestures to each other and eyeing up the girls and mums in the pool. One of the fathers asked the life guard to be more descrete but that did not work. This made things very uncomfortable for me and my 2 kids who are teenagers and my other half too. Keep an eye out when the 2 young lads are on shift

Negative experience: Traveled to Sheringham today to see if Splash was as good as we remember it. It was not. No wave machine or water slide in operation. Everything could do with a good clean as pool, showers, changing rooms and toilets were all grubby looking. Probably last time we will visit as not worth the distance travelled, coupled with expensive entry, makes it very unappealing. On a side note, pool is only 1.6m deep, so no diving or treading water.

Fantastic experience: The kids loved the waves and the slide. And so did their dad! Seemed the right temperature for the kids, even the baby was warm enough to stay in for about 45 minutes.

Positive experience: Staff are pleasant. Not very clean place. I Miss the cafe. Good gym. Good car park.

Fantastic experience: Nice friendly members and staff, very helpful and supportive too. Decent selection of classes (need booking).
