Negative experience: Cancelled a lot of their classes When cancelling it says on their website “calendar months notice” this is incorrect, it is 1 full month, from the 1st of the month, regardless as to when you cancel. Misleading.

Fantastic experience: A very convenient and well located gym. The equipment is as good if not better than any other gym I have trained at. There is always apparatus available to use and I have found members to be polite and considerate. A very clean and tidy facility for very reasonable fees.

Positive experience: Small gym but everything you need.

Fantastic experience: Wimbledon AF is by far the best in every way! Your gaurenteed to come across Waikaremoana (member of staff) who is always there and happy to help (that I have noticed) Also the other members of staff I’ve come across are very chirpy and welcoming!

Negative experience: Unfriendly, manager at the Raynes Park gym that has completely ruined our experience at anytime fitness. Atkinson is completely unwelcoming, argumentative and difficult to deal with. My sister has been trying to cancel her boyfriends membership as he has been for surgery, Atkinson refused to cancel the membership. As a result, I have been using her boyfriends membership so the money isn’t completely wasted. Atkinson went out of his way during our workout to backtrack the cameras, proceeded come down stairs and immediately kicked us out of the gym halfway through our workout. This is completely unkind and I have never experienced someone like this in all the gyms in London. I would strongly urge anyone not to waste their money here

Fantastic experience: Newly refurbished equipments. Polite staff. Facilities and toilets are clean.

Positive experience: Welcoming and helpful staff. Equipment never remains out of order for longer than 2 days max. Toilets overall maintained. Could definitely do with being bigger. For your body builder there could be more. Missing a tricep curl for example. Only 2 cable machines. No cable row. There is a vacant property nearby which is large enough.

Fantastic experience: Very convenient gym for me as I live around the corner. I like the fact that it’s open 24 hours. Has all the equipment needed, I would of liked a dedicated bench press machine but there are many work arounds

Negative experience: Awful communication about upcoming refurbishment work. The gym closed down with very little notice, gave a date for reopening, delayed it, gave another date, delayed it again. Now the gym is only half open. Very poor. I won't be staying after my membership expires.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant local gym! 24h access, has all the essential equipment needed for a good workout. Can get a little crowded but ultimately excellent value for money! The team at anytime fitness are friendly, approachable and always ready to help. Highly recommend :)

Fantastic experience: Did Tom Platz leg day there with mates. Great equipment and they have a power par.

Negative experience: Terrible service. You get what you pay for its a cheap gym with cheap policies and scummy and extortionate policies. Manager does not care one bit about customer service and just wants to take money in any way he can. Do not recommend it. Also they don't allow things like HIIT because of noise for the upstairs building. Its a joke of a service

Positive experience: Not bad but too expensive compared to other similar gyms. Although it is small compared to others, you can find almost anything you might need. It can get busy in the afternoons, but people are really friendly and often offer to share the equipment. I miss having some more cycling lessons, but it seems like they will get added to the schedule soon so I think it is just a matter of time. Staff are really friendly and the place is always clean, with loads of wipes and hand gel to keep us safe. Recommended if you are close to Raynes Park.

Fantastic experience: Was a little nervous, considering all the negative reviews - but its the closest most convenient gym so I just went with it. The make the length of the membership very clear, if you lock yourself in to a 1 year membership for a lower monthly price, then don't complain when you can't easily leave before your years up. Should've gone for a shorter membership at a higher price. As for the gym, I like it. Private showers, lockers (without needing your own padlocks - was a thing at my previous gym), theragun massagers (never used them before, now use them after every workout - wonderful things). Sometimes, during busy times, you might need to wait for your turn at some of the weight machines (theres one cable machine (in the free weights section) with two cables, often used at once for stuff like crossovers - so thats the thing thats busiest!). That said, there are 4 squat racks, plenty of dumbells and almost always a bench available, so you'll have something to do while you wait. This is also, only an issue during the busiest periods like 6-7pm. Most times, you wont need to wait. Also, you'll probably never need to wait for a treadmill or elliptical or cycling bike - theres always plenty of cardio stuff. As for cleanliness, theres plenty of wet wipes all over the gym, pull out however many you need and wipe stuff down before/after use. They do suggest wiping down after you've used equipment, but in my experience, only about 3 people in the gym actually bother to, including myself - so I wipe before use too. They do do corporate discounts - so check with your employer if you can take advantage.

Negative experience: Been a gym member for over 2 years and now we have to book a time to use the gym other gyms allow you access without having to book during this pandemic why cant you?

Negative experience: I tried to cancel my membership after knowing I will be moving to a country without an anytime fitness. First, it took ages for the staff to get in contact with me and help. Second, when they did get in contact, they bounced me around from person to person (in person, on the phone, and online), which made it frustrating to track how I was going to cancel. And finally, each person I spoke to, despite providing a bank account, new address proof, an expired VISA, AND a flight home, did NOT cancel my membership. They acted suspicious of me and just wanted to keep me on with my money. The absolute worst customer service and it felt so disrespectful. Even I turned disrespectful and as someone who has worked in customer service I try NOT to do - but they pushed my button in a way that shames me! I became the very type of customer I hate, and I never want to feel like that again when simply wanting to just cancel a gym membership.

Negative experience: Disgraceful communication and management of membership during Covid-19 closures

Fantastic experience: I love this gym! It is great to be able to go whenever you want/can. It is clean, safe and members are genuinely very friendly.

Negative experience: It was going so well. I was a member for several years, had no issues until Covid-19. The lack of communication in regards to the plan for payment, to reopening and then payment. Disappointed is how I'd describe my experience. Will I rejoin? Probably not for a very long while, which is a shame because as someone with issues around people and health, the gym was brilliant for me.

Negative experience: Poor customer service. Sporadic responses for emails and phonecalls. Be very very careful with any contracts as they will try and get you. Especially regarding Corona virus, just incredibly poor treatment of customers, zero empathy whatsoever for any personal circumstance. The gym itself is fine but there are better options nearby. Would not recommend signing up here

Negative experience: Pathetic gym that does not care about its clients. Firstly, the gym is tiny and the price doesn't make sense in the first place. Regardless, I kept going here because it was close to where I lived. Due to COVID, I could no longer afford my membership and when I emailed about this, my email was ignored and I have now been told my account that I asked to be cancelled is an arrears. Not worth a penny.

Positive experience: Fairly good gym. They've been updating and getting new equipment over the last 3 months I've been a member. staff are always friendly. Members need to be educated on stacking weights correctly when finished with them e.g 5kg behind a 25kg plate as this is a constant issue every time I go. This Is a friendly gym but how ever the constant grunting of men is extremely off-putting especially when there's a Grunt off with a few blokes from what I assume to get the most attention.

Negative experience: It’s good fitness center, but the staff is not good. They think about just money. when i was join the membership, really kindness. but, today i went to there and asked to cancel the membership because i will move my house this weekend. when i told to there staff, staff was offended. I can’t forget her face. It was worst of worst service in the world. I wasted my money and time. It can't even spare one star.

Fantastic experience: All the team members here are really friendly and helpful. They make u feel really welcome and tailor any class to make u fit in. If you dont go at 5pm on a weekday there is oodles of room and loads of spaces in classes - which r really well run. Straightforward with no issues for the 2 years I was here.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym, iv been to a different branch and this one has much better equipment, there are fitness machines iv never seen before and I just got a look at their timetable of classes and there are loads more instructors/classes than their competitor, lots of bathrooms too, overall a great gym.

Negative experience: Worst gym ever I'd rather not come back because they have refused to refund my payment and disbelieve that I have gave them one month notice. The message sounded by staff member was "I WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY"!! "OK"!! They can have the £49.99 but, I will make sure non of my friends and relatives go to you gym. I have just tweeted that. In fact it is their staff members who put good reviews on google, one of them I know already and can see the review. Also the owner only replies to reviews they like.

Negative experience: Doesn't deserve a star to be honest, absolutely DREADFUL! They don't even email you when your membership is up as you have to give at least 1 months notice AND it has to be all written down when you have no clue whether you even have a membership number as your key card does not contain anything written. TERRIBLE!

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy attending Mo's Krav Maga lessons. You can see he loves what he does and he knows his stuff. I always learn something from his classes. Today 23/09/18: My wrists are aching from taking smashes with a rolled up magazine. I asked my partner to hit harder. Once again Mo ran a great (fun and professional) class where you are always learning (through repetition) so that movements become natural. If you are passionate about learning self defence then you should come and try Mo's class.

Fantastic experience: I always hated going to the gym until I went to Anytime Fitness in Raynes Park. The most significant thing for me is the incredible encouragement that the staff have shown me. All the time, they are so lovely and warm and helpful. I have been to several other clubs, David Lloyd, Virgin, and never experienced anything as fabulously friendly as this gym.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Anytime Fitness, Raynes Park for 5 months now, since it opened in March, and am incredibly happy with all aspects of the club. I was initially concerned that it would feel impersonal and small having belonged to a bigger club, but that is not the case. All the staff are friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble to sort. They are open to suggestions as to how to improve the club and things are constantly changing and current. I love that it's open 24 hours and often use it early in the mornings. I have personal training twice a week with Adam who is knowledgeable, eloquent and intuitive to my needs. My sessions are always varied and motivating and I have never felt so strong and fit. I feel empowered to continue to be challenged and pushed to do things I never thought I could. The classes are great, diverse and run with expertise. I like to be encouraged/advised in a class, and I certainly am. Booking/cancelling classes is easy via the online app. The training equipment seems very comprehensive, and new things are often added. The facilities are adequate and clean. I have been there at peak times and never had to wait to use them. I have taken advantage of the affiliated local discounts (Starbucks, local sports shop) which is always a bonus. Oh, one more thing: I particularly love the inspirational and thought-provoking quotes on the welcome board! Overall I am delighted with my Anytime experience, which has given me new confidence and a real sense of belonging - thank you all.
