Negative experience: Every day seems to be worse than the last. Nothing is functioning as I anticipated; the only thing that seems to work perfectly is the money they take.

Negative experience: The situation has become quite disappointing; much of the equipment is either broken or functioning poorly. It's been over two weeks since the YANGA water system has been operational, leaving many people paying for a service they aren’t receiving. Well done puregym

Fantastic experience: I love going to this gym, there’s plenty of variety for all types of workouts. The staff is super friendly and approachable, creating a welcoming atmosphere no matter your fitness level. I have a busy schedule, but I’m really happy to have some good classes available at my convenient time! Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay fit in a friendly environment

Fantastic experience: I had an incredible experience with Helmer from Management, and I can't thank him enough for his assistance. I lost my padlock, and it felt like my entire day was about to be ruined. However, Helmer stepped in and completely turned things around. He was not only quick to respond but also went above and beyond to help me find a solution. His professionalism, kindness, and problem-solving skills were truly impressive. Thanks to Helmer, what could have been a stressful situation turned into a positive experience. I'm so grateful for his help!

Fantastic experience: Great value, good selection of equipment, and pick a time to go that suits you. Joining was easy and you can add bolt ons to suit your needs. All in all a good first experience!

Negative experience: Flies everywhere

Positive experience: Decent gym, has everything you'll ever need. It only has 1 bench for bench press, though which is mildly annoying.

Fantastic experience: Good value for money, Good atmosphere, friendly staff, Good equipment, tidy and clean.

Negative experience: Very cheap monthly subscription attracts lots of teens. Dirty as there is no cleaning personnel, noisy with classes blasting music with wide open double doors in the evening, lavatories are not usable because disgusting, smelly and crowded with rough looking very young men (lots of teens). There is absolutely no staff. A PT will show up if you booked a session.

Positive experience: Been a member for a week now, nice big gym, clean, friendly staff, not to busy, My only negative is the shower water is cold, and there is no way to regulate it, set at one temperature, cold...would not take much just to turn it up sightly

Fantastic experience: To equipment to facilities all is in a good spec and a car park that is very affordable alongside the monthly subscription. Staff are very nice and helpful I would recommend this Gym to others.

Negative experience: This gym is always super packed no matter what time you go at and there isn’t enough functioning equipment for everyone. This place is in desperate need of a massive refurbishment. Replace the broken mirrors and swap out some of the 200 treadmills, that are hardly ever used, for some actual useful workout machines and perhaps have more than 6 benches. The staff dont ensure the weights are put back in the right place so you spend most of your time in the gym looking for weights. My overall experience at this gym has been very bad and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Positive experience: Equipment is broken for long periods of time, a few cracked mirrors also free weights aren't put away by members or staff.

Positive experience: The gym is good for value. However there is only one proper bench press station which is dissapointing considering how busy the gym gets.

Negative experience: Not happy with being treated like a child and being banned from booking classes. Also too much equipment is out of rder.

Negative experience: Not enough equipment plus always busy. Every 5 seconds somebody coming and ask when I finish. Not enough space in the gym

Negative experience: Me and another gym member had our cash stolen from our wallets that were in the lockers despite us both having padlocks. Poor lockers, lack of staff and no security cameras were likely big contributors to this theft, giving the thiefs plenty of time to carry out this crime. Alot more money may have been stolen, so members should check. I am writing this a few hours after coming back from the gym in the evening of the 5th of Feb 2023.

Fantastic experience: Plenty of space and empty in non peak hours :)

Positive experience: Lacking of certain machines availability such rowing, bicep and tricep machine, have one in branch is a joke! staff don’t appear to organise free weights and it needs enforcing for members to put back correctly. Also can never find certain lower end free weights such as 10, 12 and 14kg often having to use 16-20kg dumbbells and change my type training when the weights needed are not anywhere to be seen the free weight dumbbell section should be organised in ascending order but there always mixed

Negative experience: The Ryanair of gyms! I was a member for about 3 hours. Nobody showed up to my induction. Changing rooms reeked of urine and the gym was generally dirty and there was not a single staff member around. I thought it was strange when I saw people changing in the car park rather than in the gym but one whiff of the changing rooms and that made sense. I guess if all you want is a cheap gym and youre not too bothered about hygiene then this gym is ideal... However, I Decided to pay a bit more for a clean, staffed gym with a decent level of customer service. On the plus side they agreed to a refund with no pushback and they apologised nobody showed up for my induction. Oddly, none of the 3 people I spoke to addressed the urine smell in the changing rooms so I can only conclude this is normal and/or acceptable to management.

Positive experience: Regular user, cheap as chips, it says what it does on the tin...

Positive experience: Lots of equipment. Friendly community vibe.

Negative experience: A gym in major need of refurbishment, a spin room with the vast majority of bikes broken. A host of machines out of order and have been for months.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym with very friendly and helpful staff members, especially Sean. Love the fresh atmosphere and it’s the perfect place to go for fitness and training.

Positive experience: The place is consistently filthy. The equipment always has the same sweat stains marked upon them and the mirrors have the same fate. Only reason I keep coming is because its the only gym nearby. Can't wait for anytime fitness to open up in the retail park across the street from here.

Positive experience: Good gym however it can be cramped /packed very quickly on peak days. Also it is not 24 hours like other PureGyms i have visited so that is a shame.

Positive experience: i've been to edgware puregym, colindale and now borehamwood. defo the best one of the 3 thus far - clean, plenty of space, good location and nice gym layout. however, not enough machines and people leave their weights everywhere - but this isn't the gyms fault but rather people.

Negative experience: Members are like animals, barbells, dumbells, weight plates all over the floor, maybe if you increased the joining age to 21 and over it might help, it is not the job of the PT's to be expected to clean up the mess left behind by members.

Fantastic experience: Staff are awesome and the classes are very good. Gloria Mensah is my favourite.

Fantastic experience: Very good gym, have all what you need to train out, a big cardio area, cycle studio, salon studio, Fw area strech area, if you are near come to visit, they have big PT team to help you out in all what you need they have to a cheap parking at the roof

Fantastic experience: I can’t praise this place highly enough. We were doing a charity event at work and contacted Adrian the Manager. He made sure we had all we needed, gave a tour and checked on us through the day. He couldn’t have done any more for us - he was amazing (short of doing our work out for us!!). I would definitely use this gym again. It was clean, with great facilities and a great atmosphere.

Negative experience: its a wishy washy commercial gym. staff not friendly. As a gym, you have to evolve with the how people are training and adapt to that. For example, compound exercises are popular and everybody implements them within their workout. That means you have to have dedicated spaces for compound exercises such as deadlift. Also, you would want to have more bench press. If you have a workout program, add 15 minutes because you will spend 15 minutes going round adjusting your workout and asking people how many sets you have left.

Fantastic experience: A great gym for the price! It is spacious and has free parking right outside after 6.30PM. One thing I would like is for the air conditioning to be higher as it is quite warm inside and there is not much of an air flow...

Negative experience: There are 5 separate, broken cable machine attachments laying around, ignored by gym staff and not replaced by management for months if not years. 2 cable machines only which are always busy. Some of the machines are absolutely terrible, leg raise and hamstring machine especially. Some of the other kit is actually better than the Precor equipment in other Pure Gyms. Most of the time there are irritating groups roaming the gym rather than working out and sleazy Gs hitting on women. Quite a lot of aggressive members, fights arent uncommon in here. Generally a rough gym in what's now become a rough area. Most of the staff are OK which is a big improvement over a few years ago.

Fantastic experience: Has everything you need, nice staff and good cleanliness. Can't complain for the price!

Negative experience: The gym is always busy there is not enough machines to workout. I'd recommend to move on the borehamwood shopping centre where Debenham was. That shop is massive big and you would be able to bring in more machines. Otherwise if it goes like this I will cancel my membership because I never get the chance to workout on my routine as it is very busy and small place.

Positive experience: Wet Cleaning wipes have been taken away more sanitising stations needed instead of blue paper roll which is situated in the middle of the gym bit annoying to be running back and fourth..cleanliness could be better ...good variety of machinery cheap does the job

Positive experience: First time I've gone to the gym in my life and I really enjoyed it. Lots of facilities to clean equipment and it's not too busy. Also really cheap at £20 a month. Air conditioning is good plus water fountains available. Lots of equipment for cardio : treadmills, rowing machines, step machines + cycle. There's also lots of different types of strength machines, but only one of each kind, so you'll need to wait if you want a specific piece. My only issue would be the lack of any assistance, for example there is no instructions on how to get in anywhere, but once you've done it once it's a really easy and efficient method. Some of the equipment also doesn't have instructions on how to use them, but most do. Worth a gander, pretty chill place to exercise and being around other people exercising I found is very motivating.

Negative experience: So I have started visiting this gym and I must say compared to many other pure gyms this one is very smelly. It's actually not bearable at all I feel like I need to wear a mask it is that bad. During peak times it is ridiculously busy, not somewhere I'd recommend going to be honest

Positive experience: The price is great but during peak times, there aren't enough machines to go round. I've decided to cancel and pay more to join another gym as whats the point in paying, if you can't use the facilities

Positive experience: Edit that this is never a problem anymore Staff are always holding classes or personal training sessions in the gaps between the running machines and around the lifting machines, they are just always right in the way, especially when there's an entire area filled with mats that's empty and they end up jumping around the machines making them unusable. Great gym aside from that
