DCBL Stadium: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Fantastic party night. Great food friendly bar staff and an amazing DJ. The dancefloor was chocka all night. Brilliant
Fantastic experience: Excellent service and staff
Positive experience: Lovely corporate rooms with well stocked bar for concerts, promotions galas presentations etc food outstanding.
Fantastic experience: Went there for a comedy night, very good
Negative experience: Stewards too busy eating sandwiches, playing candy crush on their phones or watching the game, rather than doing their jobs. They have to always get volunteers of Widnes FC to watch over the crowd. Isnt that their job? Do they ask staff from the Vikings to do the same too? Doubt it. Total incompetence.
Positive experience: Easily accessible but parking on site can be a nightmare. Will be returning for the excellent Wednesday a.m table tennis group.
Positive experience: Nice stadium
Fantastic experience: Visited one of the hospitality lounges for a jobs fair
Positive experience: Basic but does the job. Friendly staff
Positive experience: Visited for Widnes Vikings v Bradford Bulls in the Rugby League Championship 2024. Ground is 15 minutes walk south of Widnes Railway Station on the Liverpool Lime Street-Warrington-Manchester Oxford Road route and 5-10 minute walk to the west of Widnes Town Centre. On the day of the match,a warm Sunday afternoon there was home and visiting fans outside the ground, all mixing and good humoured, with absolutely no police presence i could make out. Decided to purchase ticket for the Main South Stand at 2pm,with the ticket office and club shop beyond the main reception & car park. Did find the club shop entrance a bit narrow, and there was only one way in or out and this is the reason i marked the score 4 rather than 5 because had i visited closer to 3pm im not sure it could have coped with the volume. Should be noted that there is a more spacious club shop in Widnes Market Hall which is usually open during weekdays, but not matchday Sunday. Once inside the ground i found only 1 other stand open for the game, which is the North Stand. All four sides of the ground have modern all-seater stands with an unobstructed view of the pitch from all should the club return to Super League. On the day of my visit Widnes Vikings were hosting a British Armed forces day which included a parade and a heartingly well respected minute silence to The Last Post. As for the game itself the visiting fans made plenty of noise in the South Stand Block A,some fans moved position into Block B for the second half and though this is where the home fans could also buy a ticket, there was no problems between fans, dispite no segregation (football fans take note).Once again,if there was Police inside the ground their presence was low key. The Stadium is unusual for Rugby in as much as it does not have any terracing, but to me personally that is a plus point.Would recommend Widnes for a safe family day out, with a great view of the pitch all round. Photos enclosed.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant stadium, brilliant staff… was there to help film a tv advert and it was an amazing experience
Positive experience: Good night at the comedy show
Fantastic experience: Extremely friendly staff and management, always made to feel welcome.
Positive experience: Seems ok. Haven't watched a game there since 2012 and spent this occasion sitting on the car park while my daughter completed the Rugby League Match Official course
Negative experience: People parked in the disabled space and they did not display their badge could not park there and I'm disabled I'm very disappointed complained and was told they could do nothing about it why not the person was in the building they could of told them to move the car never going again
Fantastic experience: Go to watch widnes fc as my lad plays for them.
Fantastic experience: We arrived and went into the Karalius suite. Had a meal and drinks and then onto watch the match in the stadium. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Great day all round
Negative experience: Must have lost a fortune in beer sales today. Treating good loyal fans like cattle . I have been watching widnes since 1973. If they don't sort it out. That's enough for me
Positive experience: Hard to judge at the football as there is no crowd and minimal things open. Looks a great venue for rugby league.
Fantastic experience: Nice room, great food and bar service, fab band and disco! Good parking facilities. Dance floor a little small, but we danced around the tables as well! All round, great value for money and a really enjoyable Xmas celebration
Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful works Christmas night out. The food and entertainment were fabulous. Highly recommended
Fantastic experience: Modern stadium with good function rooms
Fantastic experience: Came here for a gig, good venue and lots of parking
Fantastic experience: Great local music venue, rubbish Guinness.
Positive experience: Very nice place and enjoyable.
Fantastic experience: Very good service thanku
Negative experience: I attended a NPL west football match The stadium is far too large for the two hundred souls that attended. No announcements regarding players or anything else Gangs of prepubescent lads running about screaming and throwing plastic bottles I assume it would be a great stadium to watch RL I might be wrong but saw no volunteers
Positive experience: Visited the function rooms for a wedding reception room was small but created a good atmosphere.
Positive experience: Attended for a training event. Room was good, good facilities and reception staff very helpful.
Negative experience: Almost missed kick off as we were in a queue for tickets in a little club shop. Every other club send tickets to the away club avoiding this!! Almost as many away fans as home fans, but away fans shoved in a small corner area, with 2 stands empty!!! Poorly run, poor away fan experience. I guess it's what you get the further down the RL ladder you go!!!
Positive experience: Although the stadium was ok as we were holding a Liverpool Senior Cup Final there the facilities for collection of balls from the seats/stands.
Positive experience: If it was full may think some more of it. Visited to watch Widnes FC and felt soulless with only 150 people in the ground.
Fantastic experience: Went on a conference, staff on reception was friendly
Positive experience: Loved it here . Not quite got the hang of it some years since I've skated
Positive experience: Shame they have not thought outside the box and made better use of the space
Fantastic experience: Lovely staff great service very clean had a great night
Fantastic experience: A fantastic stadium with a great atmosphere. A friendly place to watch a classic game of rugby league.
Negative experience: I want be going there again after my experience at the local Halton football derby match. Badly organised event not enough turnstiles on I got in 25 mins late with my grandson. Both supporters to close to one another which caused to much tension, eventually leading to bottle throwing at our fans. The security there were just standing there looking and doing nothing.
Fantastic experience: Here for a work training event. Staff were lovely and the venue was very clean.
Positive experience: Went to a cricket league dinner and had a really good time
Positive experience: Went to a wedding reception. Excellent service. Very convenient.
Fantastic experience: Lovely club dj there
Fantastic experience: Son trains ther boss set up cum on u u12whites
Fantastic experience: Nice place , good food , sucking pig very nice , vousins wedding very busy Bar very busy could have done with more staff behind bar
Fantastic experience: Great experience to watch the Rugby from a hospitality box.
Fantastic experience: Great rugby league match against Sheffield Eagles.
Fantastic experience: Good rugby, good ground, good facilities (bar, etc.)
Fantastic experience: Again many thanks to Halton Borough Council for their hospitality, the brunch served at the stadium and the afternoon match, BZ and many thanks
Fantastic experience: Staff great, security fantastic
Negative experience: Away spectators in family stand taking season ticket holders seats. Aggressive behaviour and foul language also. Constant banging of drum making it a very unpleasant day. Dirty stadium and finally unable to exit stadium at the end due to locked gates.
Fantastic experience: Great evening and nights entertainment. Well organised and the stewards and staff were fantastic.
Positive experience: Getting old now. Needs new seating and new refreshment facilities.
Fantastic experience: Went to watch Bryan Adams , really well organised .
Positive experience: Went to see Bryan Adams in concert. Great facilities.
Fantastic experience: Loved it, to be fair though it was a Bryan Adams concert not a rugby match. It did look like it had all the right stuff for rugby matches if that helps?
Fantastic experience: Watched Bryan Adam's supported by Reef and joined by Mel C - absolutely fantastic night well organised and ideally situated to deal with lots of people
Positive experience: Visited here on 2nd July for Bryan Adams concert. Concert itself was brilliant, but the stadium organisation for entering was a bit shambolic as couldnt initially get the turnstile gates open at said time 1st because the actual gates were stuck, then another delay as sound checks had over-run. Sadly there were a couple of instances of rows/fights kicking off where we were stood in the gold ticket enclosure due to too much alcohol & waiting a couple of hours before support act came on. Maybe need to look at the organising side of things to make for a happier event, though on the whole it was a great night with a fab artist...
Fantastic experience: Very good compact music venue. Good facilities although some queues for drinks were off putting. This event was well organized with easy access in and out of the stadium with road closures in the immediate area making a safe environment. Well done to the organizers.
Fantastic experience: Went watching Brian Adams he was brilliant stadium was amazing aswell and security was fab joined in with all people enjoying there self's
Fantastic experience: Fantastic night watching Bryan Adams. Venue brilliant for concerts.
Fantastic experience: Great team at the stadium. Went to see Bryan Adams last night and the ticket company had made one almighty mess of the tickets leaving the team at the stadium to deal with the fall out. They were brilliant and sorted everything .
Fantastic experience: Went to see Bryan Adams supported by Reef. It was an excellent gig and parked in a free car park in Cavendish Road round the back of the ground and got away really easy with no delay at all! So much easier than going to a gig in Manchester!
Positive experience: Bryan Adams 2022 So Happy it Hurts Tour. Great gig.
Negative experience: It's quite dear for a bottle lager, £6 no draught LAGER at widnes Vikings. Limited bar access facilities. 30 deep at a bar! Not good.
Negative experience: A stadium owned by a debt collection agency.says alot about widnes.
Positive experience: Great place to celebrate your wedding
Fantastic experience: Just walked passed. No further comment
Fantastic experience: The mecca, shame about the team at the moment. Poor choice of food at half time and the place could do with a spring clean. But can't give the home of the Vikings less than 5 stars.
Positive experience: Multi - use stadium. Changed enormously over the years...
Fantastic experience: Nice stadium, all seater. Good views .
Fantastic experience: brilliant food, drinks and and the staff first class thank you all.....
Fantastic experience: Great stadium and brilliant game keep it up,,,, up the wid
Fantastic experience: Was there for my cousins wedding and I was really impressed with it and thats coming from a Warringtonian
Positive experience: Attended #HaltonBizFair event at the stadium. Nice, well maintained event space. Reasonable priced café was open. Lots of free parking. 4 stars because the biz expo hall was separate from the networking and workshop room which meant leaving the building and re-entering further down the stadium. Surely there are rooms closer?
Positive experience: Very good conference facilties. Plenty of free parking, well sign posted.
Positive experience: Nice food, very helpful and friendly staff great venue for weddings
Positive experience: Received both covid injections and took less than 10 minutes from start to finish.
Positive experience: Great bunch of friendly people pity ago was on as no service for good hour
Fantastic experience: Great place to watch the game, but only when you're winning!
Negative experience: How Halton council can receive sponsorship off the debt collectors to name this stadium beggars belief. They should hang their heads in shame for crippling one of the greatest ever rugby league teams too have graced the game.
Positive experience: Clear covid related distance markers on the floor to indicate where people should stand. Friendly and professional staff who are able to help with any queries
Positive experience: Nice stadium currently a vaccine centre which was why i was here, this was fast and efficient
Fantastic experience: This is where I received my covid injections both where well organised

Positive experience: Went for Corona virus jab at this stadium. Came out near the pitch, looked great.
Fantastic experience: This is currently being used as a vaccination centre for Covid-19. Great set up. Thank you NHS and volunteers and Army for getting these centres up and running.
Fantastic experience: Very organised, social distancing and masks to be worn . Very friendly, quick, nurses are lovely injection was quick and pain free.
Fantastic experience: Actually went to the stadium for my covid 19 vaccination. Have to say the stadium itself is brilliant something for us to be proud of been to a couple of matches there both rugby league and football facilities are good. The stadium and it's staff should be extremely proud of themselves for allowing the place to be used by NHS for vaccinations. It was very daunting arriving there last Saturday but also exciting that I was finally getting the jab. The organisation was second to none the amount of people there was amazing absolutely loads I thought I would be there for more than an hour!! It was like clockwork queued gave name in and followed the line along in 40 mins I was heading back out to the car park!! Couldn't praise the whole process enough fantastic!!
Fantastic experience: Visited to receive my first dose Covid Vaccine. Superb organisation of the whole process.
Fantastic experience: Went for my first Covid19 jab at the stadium. It was very clean, orderly and everyone was helpful, professional and friendly. The Stadium itself was well managed as usual. No complaints from this "Jabee"!
Fantastic experience: Yes went to DCBL stadium this morning to have my covid-19 vaccination. Everything went well. You are in and out no problem. The staff from car park people, to the doctors and nurses where great ! Well organised. Well done everybody. You are doing a brilliant job for people of Halton. Thank you....

Fantastic experience: Amazing set up for COVID-19 vaccinations
Fantastic experience: Brilliant thanks. Very efficient. And the staff working there are angel.s without wing.s thank you all
Fantastic experience: I went for my covid19 vacation. Must say it was well organised.
Fantastic experience: Went for my first injection of the vaccine very well organized
Negative experience: Visit for wife's vaccination. Badly organised and very little social distancing. Wouldn't be surprised if people contracted the virus there.
