Fantastic experience: Great gym nice staff all the machines and weights you will ever want

Positive experience: Good gym at the right times if you come around peak times don't expect to do much as it is ramed They could do with more weight plates as if one or two heavy lifters come in you will be fighting over the plates

Fantastic experience: Can get busy at peek times. Not the cleanest when it comes to dust and oil build up on mashines. Sinks get hard water build up. Apart from that nice members. Good verity of equipment. Good amount of weights. I personally like working out super early or super late at night so it feels like I have the gym to myself. Highly recommend changing rooms are kept to a good condition and night time cleaner keeps place in check. Much better then when it was a 24/7 fitness

Fantastic experience: Best Gym to go too. Great selection of machines and free weights. Clean, tidy and open 24/7. Pure gym has really helped me get in shape and tone up. Everyone is friendly. The price is great and the app works brilliantly. Honestly can't fault Pure Gym waterlooville. If your hesitating about joining, don't be. Change you life and mindset and forget your worries, big or small no one cares as you're there to work on your self. Pure Gym 5 stars

Positive experience: It's good in that it is convenient but I don't think they have cleaners. It's often that you seem the same dirt in the showers for a week. Once there was a used tampax in the shower area for 6 days

Negative experience: Filthy , machines always out of order, for 3 weeks nobody can fix it . Compare with Portsmouth harbour it was big big down grade

Fantastic experience: Small gym but never too busy - staff great - really friendly

Negative experience: Friendly staff and free parking and better gym access compared to other PureGyms are the good side of things. Unfortunately very small and overcrowded, lift is usually broken, the vitamin drink machine is usually playing up, AC spends more time broken. And be aware ladies I’ve witnessed few blokes (usually within the free weights area) will stare at you inappropriate. Just go careful.

Positive experience: Standard Puregym

Fantastic experience: On the small side but has everything you could want. It doesn't get too busy in the morning or afternoon. Friendly and helpful staff.

Positive experience: Gym is small and very overcrowded. Not fully equipped like bigger pure gyms. Staff are friendly.

Positive experience: Gym is very small and crowded especially at peak times, doesn’t always feel that well maintained with toilets out of order and air con leaking. Free parking is a bonus

Positive experience: Great gym, lots of high quality equipment. Hair dryers, showers, lockers and parking available. Water taps and vending machines. Unfortunately the lift has been out of action for the last month.

Positive experience: Decent gym with good equipment & cleanliness. The flavoured water machine is a good asset & helpful polite staff. I'm happy with this gym. I have a few complaints though - I originally joined because of the £0 charge fee however as I was joining they added a extra tenner, which is fine you have a business to run & I managed to pay it but seeing misleading ads on Tiktok & Social media appear do irk me abit along with the false advertising. I'm not gunna complain about the lift being out of order (extra steps for ya) or gym layout. I dunno if this place has a air con but omg one is definitely needed on the gym floor, it's pretty hard to cool down after a strenuous workout. The women's changing room's decent but you need locks on shower doors & rid of the funky damp smell. Again I have no hate for the place, it's very helpful & convenient knowing a gym is 10 mins up the road but this place needs a little TLC, especially when Ur forking over £30 odd a month.

Fantastic experience: Friendly environment. Clean.

Negative experience: Gym is ok, layout is better in the free weights area after some shuffling around with the bench press. However, when will you be investing in some different equipment - Iv been to other PureGyms in the past and there seems to be better machines at other locations. Swear you've had the same machines since changing from 24/7? One last thing, when is the Air-con unit going to be fixed....Currently have about 5 buckets catching water for the past 3 months.

Negative experience: The PT in this gym Kyle Philips takes your money and doesn't reply to you what a joke can't believe he is aloud to work there I do really hope that pure gym do something about this .

Fantastic experience: My local gym, easy going gym. Have been there nearly 2 years, been to a few pure gyms, this isn't like most, it has the feeling of a local independent gym, relatively small in comparison to other puregyms and a lot cleaner.

Positive experience: would be a 5 start but its too small and the ac is always broken

Negative experience: So, I’m not leaving the feedback for the gym floor, cause it’s not an issue. I just left a cycle class - Monday, 10th April, 12:30pm class. And I’ve never been to a group cycle workout that was worse than this. 1. The instructor was late. No apologies for being late, not a single acknowledgment of people waiting. Breezy - walked in and slowly started setting up. We didn’t start until 6 minutes. 2. There’s no enthusiasm. I swear it felt like he didn’t want to be there at all. No connection with the customers, no motivation to say anything. Hardly any instructions or direction on positioning on the bike. Thank god most of us weren’t new, but reminding how to do certain things is usually a good thing: posture, what muscles to engage in what parts of the workout. It’s not difficult. 3. Absolutely boring soundtrack. Again, choose music that will do something to customers. Inspire, motivate. I understand that he thinks that club tunes will do the trick but no. Even Bohemian Rhapsody wouldn’t done a better job. 4. Make it interesting. A couple standing climbs and three sprints in the middle won’t do anything. Don’t cut this whole thing short. The class ran 23 minutes. Not the scheduled 30. If you’re late - make up for it and stay until you fulfill the time you were scheduled for. Or don’t be late. Can someone have a chat with this instructor? When you have programs like LesMills RPM, maybe there is a need to keep up? Or like learn a few things? Not necessarily certify to be a LesMills trainer, but at least match the energy. Also - female toilets - what’s up with the air freshener? Horrid choice, impossible to breathe.

Negative experience: Always full of chavs, which I suspect is down to the low membership fee. Can never get on any equipment. Changing rooms stink. And the building is too small and cramped. All in all, rubbish.

Negative experience: Why are so many people getting £100 parking fines when they get free parking with the gym !???

Fantastic experience: For a small gym, it packs everything you need, really. Friendly atmosphere, clean and tidy, well looked after and serviced equipment. ️‍♂️

Fantastic experience: Good gym, much better that my previous 24/7 gym. Plenty of free weights and equipment. I tend to go early morning so it not very busy, so can't comment on people saying it is.

Positive experience: Adequate, best description. Internal cleanliness aside there is limited space for reasonable manoeuvring around equipment. The amount of free weights is considerably understocked. Especially since the increase in cross fit peripherals requiring weight attachment. Further weight removal from the weights area occurs whenever an exercise class is taking place and it disappears into the studio room You watch the instructor and class members casually walk the around gym collecting items to take with them like a line of cartoon ants. The toilet/shower area is irregular cleaned, presently one of the male toilets has been auto flushing 3lpm for the last 62 days without maintenance this is 267,840 Litres to date. I'm sure the membership cost will increase to compensate their expenditure if the facilities are water metered. The toilet section is unnecessarily unsanitary but by no means trainspotting quality! The only good thing about Pure gym is the price but that's being challenged by the above qualities.

Fantastic experience: My home gym. A friendly bunch and I go every day.

Fantastic experience: Always found that, with a sports background, informed exercise programmes and training schedules improve performance and reduce heartache! Certainly the appropriate equipment and professional advice go hand in hand with this. As you get older, you have to remind yourself to be realistic and modify exercise and training. That's where your personal trainer is the one to listen to.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, nice diverse bunch of members, good set of equipment, great value, free parking. What's not to like?

Fantastic experience: Nice and quiet at night and is 24/7.

Negative experience: If you plan on going at anti social times then go for it but at 6am it is rammed. Trainers take a load of kit into the studio whenever there's a class on and I don't know why they can't have dedicated kit in the room as its so frustrating seeing gaps in the weight rack and whole machines missing Generally feels like you need to compromise on missed exercises every time you go there. January and February are even busier than usual due to offers, oversubscription and "new year new me". With so many larger empty units around (Waitrose), Pure could easily scale up but it's stuck in that tiny unit above Wilko. Time for me to move on. Pure are likely to reply saying I can check the app to see how busy it is, or speak with the manager.. but going to the gym needs to be part of a routine. I'm not going to sit at home refreshing the app every hour am I? Stop putting ownership of the problem on to the paying customers and deal with the feedback yourself.

Fantastic experience: Clean and modern. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: Highlights - Lots of equipment, with plenty to go around. Waiting times for equipment is little to none. Staff are very friendly, so far had very good experience. Equipment is generally clean though promotion of self cleaning needs a bit more emphasis. Unfortunately, the reason I could not give this place 5 is due to the men's changing rooms. It gives me vibes and smells of going to a cameo club or even a night clubs toilets in general. I would love to see staff cleaning them every hour or at least a clean rota put up showing when the areas like the toilets and showers were last cleaned. Maybe it's possible for the showers to get a squeegee and a mop and bucket with diluted bleach be left to the side so people can mop up the puddles of water . Otherwise a good all round gym.

Positive experience: Plenty of equipment and not crowded at 5am

Fantastic experience: I wish they would get a premises on the ground floor. It's hard to gauge my starting heart rate when after all those stairs it's at 160bpm

Positive experience: Staff need to promote the cleaning of the equipment before and after use. Apart from that it’s a friendly place to train. One suggestion is to have some seating to relax after a workout

Positive experience: Equipment is okay. Price point is pretty good. Unfortunately the gym itself is dirty with dust and dry liquid marks on everything, rubbish lying around. And males toilets genuinely smell and look like most public toilets. Go there to workout, don't expect much else.

Fantastic experience: I accidently put 1 star instead of 5. Moved from horizon gym to here for the convenience of being able to gym around the UK. It's a really nice upto date gym.

Positive experience: Gym is over-populated and 95% of the time the AC is broken. Apart from that its an OK local gym.

Positive experience: Fast response when the manger was told the air conditioning didn't work, was fixed within 2 weeks. Gym equipment still needs a service, i.e. clean and oil barbells

Fantastic experience: Really happy I joined Pure Gym.. 3 times this week so far and I'm using their workout guides in the app . Great app and easy to follow so you don't feel like The Gym idiot... Shower area and changing room was nice and clean

Fantastic experience: Quite a small pure gym, but it was quiet and had almost everything I needed (no punchbag). Friendly, helpful staff. You can get parking displays inside from the desk).

Positive experience: Great gym and if the WIFI worked would make it even better. The gym has been clean and not too crowded but I guess this is dependent on the time of day. I tend to chech the app. The car parking system is OK but can be updated.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Pure gym for a five years now and a member of Waterlooville Pure gym since it opened. Waterlooville Pure gym has always been clean and tidy, the staff there are always very helpful especially Lee and Mike, you can always find them on the gym floor, usually cleaning during this COVID-19 situation. The staff have managed extremely well during this very difficult time and the gym has continued as normal despite all the new measures of cleanliness brought in. The changing rooms and equipment are always clean and there’s always lots of free parking available. Overall Pure gym is great value for money and has a very high standard.

Positive experience: Nice equipment and everything but it's too small. Way too small!

Positive experience: Feels a bit small and cramped but they work well with the space they have to squeeze in as many machines as possible. Major downer is that it is has been so hot and stuffy, this entire week since opening day- would be great if they had air conditioning. Staff are helpful but a little stingy when handing out the carparking slips which is frustrating. Spacious changing room (females). Overall the best budget gym in the area.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities. I arrived to pay for a day pass before I decided to join here instead of my uni gym. Nice male member of staff helped me with my day pass. Will definitely be joining!
