Fantastic experience: My attendance has been very little for a few months but it is nice that the staff still remember the members, are always polite and welcoming. We just signed my step daughter up to the centre today aswell.

Positive experience: Really enjoyed our swim here but only 1 changing table! Also think it's a but off you have to pay for a 10 week old baby and a 2 year old!

Positive experience: So I'll be fair. Pro's- The staff are helpful and friendly and from my experience genuinely out to help you. The app makes booking classes really easy just make sure you book in advance as can get busy quick. The app also shows what equipment is currently free which is great. Pool is a good length and the gym is well stocked. Cons- so the public changing room can get messy as the day goes on and every other week they stink of urine. Members change is all open change with no cubicles. Both changes the showers back up and go out of order on the regular. The pool is hit-and-miss temperature wise and sometimes unpleasant to swim in because of it. What is a little frustrating is the Members. Pool it seems like a social club. People just nattering, drinking hot drinks and just getting in the way. The lane swim is occupied by quite a few people who are happy to swim slowly or down the middle/straddling the lanes in faster lanes making it harder for those of us who want to go at the pace of the lane. Gym I've had a few instances where equipment is just being monopolised by people who are just talking and not moving off the equipment though not that frequently. This place is fine for a local pool and gym but its much better to come at the quiet times.

Negative experience: Tried to swim lanes but was too full. And I wanted to become a regular to get better in swimming, but it just made me feel uncomfortable. Not go again.

Fantastic experience: The receptionist were perfect. If needed anything they would be right there! Changing room weren’t the best, smells like urine and has big chunks of mould in places. Lifeguards are perfect with me and my friends, if we need anything they are always there! I recommend you go swimming here!

Negative experience: Don't bother. The staff were rude from receptionist to life guards, the swim session advertised as having floats or toys didn't have any, and we were expressly informed we weren't allowed them. There were no family changing rooms making a visit with our toddler a lot more difficult. There were also large amounts of mould everywhere. For this price I'd expect it to at least be cleaner, not worth it.

Negative experience: Receptionist was rude on arrival, no family changing facilities for the swimming pool. Expected better considering how much more expensive this place is in comparison to competitors

Positive experience: Very pleasant staff always helpful.

Fantastic experience: Members of the gym and swimming, use it regularly and always find it clean with happy, friendly staff that go above and beyond. The female lifeguard is very good with kids and encourages mine to push herself which is what she needs.

Positive experience: Very overpriced.and too warm. Only had a drink to pass a little time.

Negative experience: Our daughter went to her swimming class today and the changing rooms stunk of pure urine, when she dropped her towel on the floor then went to wrap her hair up it was clear there was lots of wee on the floor leaving my daughter stinking until we got home and bathed her straight away. This needs addressing as my 9 year old was distraught gipping in the car on the way home. Not how we would expect in an environment like that

Positive experience: Came here for some aquatic exercise and it was great. The changing room reeked of urine it was awful and filthy. I felt gross changing in there. I went into a few different stalls to get away from the smell only to realize it’s the whole room.

Fantastic experience: First time I've been to this swimming pool. Nice size pool and not busy. No slides ( which we knew) or floats out but kids loved it. Will definitely go back. Clean and spacious changing rooms .

Fantastic experience: So I joined this gym at the beginning of 2022, after 10 years of not stepping into one. I was out of shape and unsure of what to do. I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities available at this gym and the amount of things you get for your subscription. The staff are super-friendly and are always happy to help. I had my induction with Louise and she has been helping me achieve my goal by tailoring a workout plan for me. Definitely the best gym I've ever been to.

Positive experience: Pretty decent leisure centre. Adult lane swimming is few and far between. Seems they cater more for aqua airobics and clubs over than your average fitness/leisure swimmer. Gym facilities aren't bad. There's enough there to get each muscle group. Changing rooms could do with a refurb but they are clean enough.

He really knows what he is doing in regards to fitness and has given me great advice and for me to where I am today and will push me even further, I know that. I wouldn't no what I was doing without his guidance. Never let him go!!

Fantastic experience: This is my second review. My first pointed out a few issues. I'm please to say these have been addressed. After a recent refurbishment, it makes kids swimming lessons a pleasure to go to. New coffee and snack bar and seating is great, changerooms are clean and smell fresh and to their credit, staff are happy and helpful as always :)

Positive experience: After a major refurbishment a few weeks ago, the pool looks the same as ever but the gym has brand new equipment and smart applications which can be fully utilised if you have a semi decent phone. The price for a non contract is ok but I think it could be lower if you want to attract a broader range of people. Still, a decent gym, however, and you do get pool accsess thrown in.

Negative experience: My son was in the same group, stage 4 for nearlyr 2 years and when I complained not much was done. Very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I decided to start swimming with the adult swim after cancer left me with a lot of nerve damage in my legs . I am aware I am quite a slow swimmer , but no one seemed to mind .. lovely pool , friendly people and I love it here .

Negative experience: I had a bad expirience with two of the staff members picking on me and my mate saying we were misbehaving and accidently went into the wrong changing rooms as she didn't direct us in were to go

Fantastic experience: Went for the first time today with our 2 year old grandson. They have got some improvements ongoing but it didn't affect our visit. The staff were really helpful and professional. There's a 25m lane pool and a 12m kiddies pool, we only used the kiddies pool and the grandson loved it. They had loads of balls, buckets and floatation aids and always had lifegaurds on hand. There are separate ladies and gents changing facilities which included showers, toilets, cubicles and lockers (you'll need a £1 coin for the locker but you get it back). There's also plenty of free parking. Will definitely be going again.

Negative experience: Staff can be ignorant, talking amongst themselves whilst customers waiting. Online booking is restrictive. Managed perfectly well for decades then essentially marginalised individual swimmers to promote organised sessions.

Positive experience: Small and compact gym. Friendly staff in the reception as well as in the gym. Not tried the classes here. The time slots for leisure use of the pool are not as many as one would like. The shower rooms definitely need sprucing up.

Negative experience: If you want to lane swim don't bother going here. It's a social swim center where people crawl along the lane talking rather than swimming.

Positive experience: A little bit dated in it's decor and look, but completely clean and excellent way to pass time with the kids. We went when they had a huge inflatable taking up half the pool, which was great for the older kids, but not so good of you had young ones. Would go back again though

Fantastic experience: Perfect and just around the Corner!

Fantastic experience: Very reasonably priced gym membership which also includes swimming and personalised workout plans. Having been attending the gym for the last 5 months I've only ever witnessed one piece of gym equipment to be out of order, unlike many other gyms I've been to. The leisure centre is confidently located for those a 10 minute drive away in staincross, mapplewell or woolley. The only downside is that is can be busy at peak hours but it would be unfair to rate any less than 5 stars as every single gym in the country will be busy during peak times (4pm-6pm).

Fantastic experience: Great old school leisure centre. Staff are very friendly and I like the idea of the music being played at a nice level in all areas. My son has his swimming lessons there and loves the teacher, Adam. Would recommend to anyone wanting a nice family swim.
