Fantastic experience: Vauxhall Leisure Centre staff in general are really helpful and friendly. From the reception to the swimming instructors, they are lovely .I'd like to mention Kevin & Rodrigo who are teaching me how to swim . They are knowledgeable and kind, which makes my learning journey enjoyable . I was dreading the experience, but they made me feel comfortable and excited to learn. The pools are always very clean and so the changing rooms . I truly recommend this facility because of its atmosphere, location and you'll feel welcome .

I spoke to D'jon on reception who I can only say was amazing, he went through every option to find the best one for me and i could not be happier, made my coming back less stressful.

Negative experience: I had 2 session with the PT David Aluko, where I explained very well my injuries on my elbows. The second time he saw me, coz he forgot how much serious was my injuries on my elbows, he make me do the push up on the floor and with vertical bench (where you lift your own weight to train your shoulders, abdomen and arms) when I did say I wouldn’t risk and I’m off from gym almost 6 years! But he pushed me to do it! And to show my determination to work out I was so silly to follow his instructions. Biggest mistake! Trusting! NEVER AGAIN. Next day I couldn’t move, my tendinitis back very painful and still after one week I can’t carry on my job. On top of the pain for free, he refund me PARTIALLY as well, the package for 10 sessions, telling me on top of that frustration from my side, that his policy is to refund in one month! CRAZY! Pool very small and busy. So I wouldn’t suggest anything over there, at all.

Negative experience: I had an incredibly frustrating experience attempting to book a swim session. After creating an account and paying £7.40 online, my money was deducted, but I received no confirmation. Upon contacting customer service, I was met with unhelpful representatives who requested a screenshot of the transaction and forced me to fill out a lengthy form with my personal details. They assured me the refund would take 14 days to process. Reluctantly, I paid another £7, only to be informed that the session was now full. This led to another round of refund forms and another 14-day waiting period. Ultimately, I lost £14, endured 55 minutes of hold time, and was left without access to the facilities I had intended to use. Terrible system shocking customer service.

Negative experience: Booked the swim + sauna session for 2 only to find out the sauna was closed for the next 4 hours after we arrived. Staff said we should have come up and left if we didn't like that when we asked for a refund. Basically a computer says no experience. Anyway, the place is filthy, the showers were dirty and all the women's toilets out of order

Negative experience: I want to love this place because it’s my neighbourhood gym but they are a mess. The women’s toilet chronically smells of poo and often lacks toilet paper in both stalls. Once every few weeks I get a penalty charge for not showing up for a class I in fact went to. Just a day or two ago, in a not-unusual occurrence, the WiFi wasn’t working, the elevator wasn’t working, and there was a pool of dirty water in the floor in the small area for stretching.

Negative experience: Horrific, definitely one of or if not the smallest gym you will ever see. Not more than 4 benches, only 1 smith machine. The space in the gym is abysmal. No machines. No bicep or tricep or hamstring machine.

Negative experience: I have been a member of many different better gyms around London and this is the worst one so far. the bathrooms smell like sewage, there aren’t many machines and there are always a few broken.. plus you can never get a pilates class as it’s fully booked.

Fantastic experience: Smashing centre, despite opening 5+ years ago, still being kept top-notch. Staff are great and very helpful. During the busy times it’s a bit crammed considering its size. Could use more showers but I guess the building was originally planned to be used for the student accommodation above; happy it’s a public facility instead. Would recommend especially considering the price! Won’t find better service and facility at private member gyms for this price.

Positive experience: The staff is very friendly and highly professional. All areas are always very clean. Some disgusting activities inside the sauna and steam room should be prohibited: 1. take photos, even if they are (apparently) selfies; 2. use without any respect for other customers of products that spread through the air, some of which are spread abundantly without criteria. This should be strictly prohibited. No one has to take menthol, eucalyptus and other diverse and unknown (sometimes smelly) essential oils from anyone; 3. speak loudly and behave as if this were a pub. These areas should also be areas for relaxation. 4. do any personal hygiene and shave...Yes, shave!

Negative experience: I cancelled the membership at 10/29, But I was still charged because I have to cancel it before 20th. I think I didn’t get any information about it before I see it on the cancel page, it really a very unreasonable thing, I will go to complaint to see what government say.

Negative experience: Had rather poor experience at this venue. First, the staff at the reception seem hesitant to accept Gympass users by saying they don’t know how it works and they can’t let you in or they need to speak to a manager. Second, I got there on Saturday and steam room and sauna were not working, staff said they switch it on only at 2pm (which doesn’t make any sense and they should have mentioned it at the reception) and they have three of staff members on swimming pool floor who seemingly do nothing and are utterly unhelpful if asked for any kind of help (like hot water not working in the showers). I understand the venue is perhaps saving the costs by having sauna off but they should review their usage of the staff and perhaps train them to be more customer focused. The venue also doesn’t have parking. Swimming pool only 1meter deep, good for kids but if you are looking for good swimming and sauna/ steam room experience, avoid this place.

Fantastic experience: Very kind and helpful staff at the Centre.

Positive experience: It's alright. The system to register asks fir a million of things, so not as easy as take my money and let me workout. Pool only available certain times of the day and you need to precooked your sessions.. Body composition machine at the gym no longer works as the registering instructions are put of day and when asked staff did not know how to use it. Way too many treadmills and not enough dumbells, benches and weights machines - mostly like a cardio gym. Not really worth the membership price, but since it's by far the closest gym to home I can just hope they will take the feedback they are receiving from nearly every person I know who tried this gym onboard.

Positive experience: The pool is not very deep and almost always crowded but it has nice saunas one steam room and one finish. You cant complain for price of 6£ oer seasion. Beware that saunas have cleaning hours so its closed from 15:30 until 18 usually.

Fantastic experience: First time visiting couldn’t believe it when staff said it was 5 years old looks brand new, friendly and helpful staff.

Negative experience: Not a good gym at all. No lifting platform. Sauna always out of order. Machines switched off half the time. Staff will mop up around you while lifting which is super dangerous. Staff generally not helpful. Its cheapish for the area that is all it has going for it.

Positive experience: A bit small but has a n8ce view.

Fantastic experience: Crisp, clean, new, nice! Friendly staff. Only went for a quick swim but it’s was great. Easy to find everything. Small pool but all good when there’s not too many people.

Negative experience: Had an incredibly horrible and upsetting experience at the pool. After a steam I returned to the female changing rooms where I had left my things only to find a man in there. He was just standing there so I asked him “isn’t this the female changing room?” He held up his hand and shushed me. I realised then it was because he was praying and he did not want to be disturbed. Fully understand that and I don’t want to disturb other people but now I can’t do anything. I’m stuck. I can’t get naked in front of a man praying but I also can’t disturb him and ask him to leave. When I tried he shushed me. I was very upset and finally after waiting around I found a staff member who asked him to leave the changing room. Even then he was reluctant and took an extra 5 mins. You need to make the signs on the doors clearer that they distinguish the male and female changing rooms. If male cleaners will be entering the female changing rooms you can put a sign up to clarify. That, or you need to control your clientele better. I felt very unsafe, embarrassed and like there was no space for me. That this space was only to be dominated by men. :(

Negative experience: I have been a member for 5 months now and I have just cancelled as it is not acceptable that when things break takes them months to be repaired or replaced. Sauna is now out of service for more than 1 month, same happened with steam room few times. Why charging full price membership fora reduced service? Worst management I have seen in sports clubs...

Negative experience: Came here on my lunch break to look at the gym before potentially signing up, having already done so (looked around) in the Brixton and Clapham BetterGyms (with no issue). After waiting 10 minutes in the qué I asked to be let in so I can look around. They said I can't go in by myself. I was also informed there was no one who could currently show me around. So after a wasted journey, I went home. Do they really expect you to sign up to a gym without looking at it? Why on earth would they not just let people go in and have a look? Ridiculous. Staff not very helpful or useful.

Positive experience: Average gym. The pool is okay. I like their sauna and steam room and go there every week, but it's often out of use for various reasons, which can be quite annoying.

Positive experience: Great leisure centre, not overly big but good and great for a swim and sauna. They’ve had problems with regulars overstaying timeslots and arguing about sauna capacity, when I went it was accessible, busy but you could get in and find space. No shower gel though - bring your own.

Positive experience: The gym is ok but while I was doing my workout someone clipped the padlock on my locker and stole my wallet and work mobile phone. This is despite there being membership card with electronic gate access. Beware as your property is not safe, even in a padlocked locker.

Positive experience: Good-sized (25m), clean pool. A delight on weekdays. On weekends, they implement an annoying system where you can't scan in and instead you need to queue to get a sauna wristband before going to the pool, even if you have no intention of using the sauna. I never use the sauna and this system bugs me. Sometimes you need to queue for close to 10 mins.

Positive experience: Its a nice place but the sauna is always full. On evenings and weekends there is even a line of people waiting to get in. And its not designed properly so only a few seats actually get hot enough, there is cold hair entering from under the door, plus every 5 min someone opens it and lets the cold air in again. Maybe if everyone complains they will start opening it longer hours. Its only open a few hours a day. Otherwise the pools is great and machines are fine. Just wish they had wash cloths around the gym for self cleaning after using a machine or mat. Also very annoying that you need to bring your own lock.

Positive experience: Modern and clean, warm mixed changing and shower facilities, plenty of hairdryers. £1 lockers for the swimming pool, padlocks for the gym. The pool was very crowded after work, especially with such narrow lanes. Need to check sauna and steam room working times. Will come back at a less busy time.

Negative experience: Terrible, I froze my gym membership 5 days before my direct debit payment was due and they still took the money, I was told a refund will be processed within 21 days, 3 weeks later I called them up again and they said there is no refund and it was credit instead, looks like I will not be getting my refund back. I would not recommend signing up to this gym.

Negative experience: Having been going to this pool for year I've slowly seen the decline of cleanliness of the pools ,looking at the grub and dirt on the steps and edges of the pool it looks like someone need to take back control as people are clearly not doing there jobs also they need to add more public swimming times in school holidays other then this don't use other facilities there to comment

Negative experience: Horrible gym - avoid at all costs. They froze my membership due to Covid and told me it would remain this way until I reactivate it on my side. However, I noticed BY CHANCE they started recharging the monthly fees at a really random month - without any notification about it which meant I didn't use the gym at all in the period. After a long email correspondence with the customer service, they made me submit the refund request form - twice - subsequently saying they can't see it on the system. Apparently a five digit number confirming the request should've been sent to me but it didn't. Called them and was told there's a 2-week period to process refunds - but still no confirmation on my request being logged. I feel robbed.

Fantastic experience: Love this centre, staff are super friendly, very welcoming and nothing is to much bother. The gym is a great space and all other customers are super friendly. The spin studio is brilliant.

Fantastic experience: Always awesome

Positive experience: Very clean and well equipped gym. All range of equipment and weights as well as a swimming pool and sauna / steam room. Classes available and a cycle studio as well. Membership prices vary depending on time of day but corporate Membership also available which has reduced prices. You will need a padlock for the lockers and only downside is that there are only two ahowers and two toilets, but overall very nice Gym.
