Fantastic experience: Got absolutely everything. My kids love the soft play pen. Every Monday before kick boxing and every Friday after swimming you can find us chilling in the cafe. Lovely family friendly place.

Fantastic experience: Staff are lovely. Good facilities. Could do with upgrades on gym equipment with more range and better swim changing rooms. But it's staff are the real gems.

Fantastic experience: Didn't use the sports centre, but it had a good cafe. Was here for the start of a stage of The Tour of Wales

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place. Fantastic facilities and indoor bowling rink. The reception staff are so friendly and helpful. However, the parking facilities can get overcrowded during peak hours.

Positive experience: Staff exceptional can't remember her name but she's great and equipment for the gym pretty standard but everything there to bulk and build certain things could be added but it's a leisure centre not a muscle gym......there something for everyone from cardio to strength training.

Negative experience: Typical standard council operated leisure centre. The pool is great for small children and even has a decent slide. Not the best for older kids. The changing rooms are decent and clean but lockers are in need of an upgrade. Parking is a huge issue here and the reason for the three star rating as there has been several incidents of cars being damaged and no CCTV to catch the offending driver.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly, knowledge and helpful staff. I am awaiting hip replacement surgery and the staff have been great in helping me. Brecon Leisure Centre provides a good range of activities and I can especially recommend the pool and aqua sessions. Lovely cafe with friendly staff in which to enjoy a well earned drink or snack afterwards.

Fantastic experience: What a great place! I emailed and asked about the temperature of the small pool as wanted to take my little one, got an email back at 6.30am to confirm. Great service, friendly lifeguards, nice and clean and a great flume into the pool!

Fantastic experience: Excellent leisure centre. Plenty of lockers and changing areas for the pool (lockers were also of a decent size, got everything in one for 2 adults and a toddler with room to spare). The pool itself was really good with a separate shallower one for children with loads of toys and floats. Would highly recommend and would visit again.

Positive experience: We hired an electric self drive boat for the day. Staff were very helpful and explained everything we needed to know. Had a lovely relaxing day on the canal. Give it a try.

Fantastic experience: Great place but I want to highlight the staff in particular, the lady was so helpful and kind while dealing with me. It was greatly appreciated and made a huge difference to my day.

Fantastic experience: I go to the centre most weeks but only use the running track. Each time I attend at Reception, I see folks of all ages there. So the various facilities are clearly popular across the board. Most importantly though, the staff are lovely and very welcoming. So whatever type of fitness regime is your fancy, I'm sure you will enjoy.

Positive experience: I've not looked at all the facilities, as I'm only using the swimming pool. But the pool is just what you need. Changing rooms that are clean, a 25m pool and somewhere to have a shower. I went from 8pm and there was about 16 people there. You don't have to book for the evening free swim. But all the timmimgs etc are on their website.

Positive experience: Great leisure centre, the spin classes with Claire are the best I’ve ever attended she deserves a special mention. The main gym is brand new now, and top quality. Something for everyone! Sadly the pool is tired and severely in need of a re-fit. The lack of a sauna, steam & spa area is a real shame. There is nothing in the whole of the BRECON area that offers anything that we where used to back in CARDIFF South Wales . Perhaps we’ve been spoiled, but there is nothing around locally to compare what other fitness clubs in other areas offer. I have heard talk of future plans & development opportunities from feedback received from management at the centre I received some months ago following a survey. Fair play to Freedom Leisure they really have improved the gym & class facilities here (the old gym was dire). Let’s now focus on a top class pool & Spa facility. We deserve it! For 2 more Stars (⭐️ ⭐️ ).

Positive experience: Called up and spoke to a lady to book the indoor football, she quoted £29 but said she couldn’t take payment and that someone would call me back shortly. No one called back so I called them to confirm the same booking and pay, only to be told the price would be £49. Edit - The leisure centre called me later that day to confirm the child’s price would be £29.

Positive experience: The new addition of the extra part of gym was VERY welcome. It has been greatly improved in the last 2- 3 years and could still get a few more items of equipment. And maybe another gym room. It is getting quite crowned on a Monday and Wednesday evening. Friday is ok though. Severely unimpressed with the cafe, serving chips etc. A nice heathly cafe with some kind of knowledge of food to nourish and help with excercise would be unique and we'll sought after in Brecon.

Negative experience: Very good and clean leisure facilities. Nice and helpful staff. Well equipped gym that is not always busy. Good size pool. Plenty of parking. Convenient cafeteria with limited food options. Update 9/4/2022. Gone downhill rapidly. Poor attitude from staff. Cannot be bothered. Opened up hockey pitch with tennis net across the pitch. Football goals on the pitch. Hockey goals in the wrong place, and inoperative with tears all over. Little regard for Health & safety. Spoke with the duty manager (eventually), but little positive response. Needs a big injection of enthusiasm and desire to help customers.

Positive experience: Local leisure centre. Covers all sports stuff. Due to cut backs no fresh food anymore in café.

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely experiance when I arrived on Friday for the day. Went swimming and gyming met a lovely member of staff called Kieran, he was very knowledgeable about the gym and more, he was also very polite. The pool was very dated compared to the rest of the centre but that one meber of dtaff made all the difference.

Negative experience: Bit behind the times small gym not as good as they'd like to think

Fantastic experience: Great place for a swim and a little play. Looking a bit tired in places but was right price and allowed my confident and competent 8 years old to swim without an adult which is a massive tick.

Positive experience: We enjoy using the pool as a family but the cafe is never open which seems a waste. We were interested in the summer family package which seems a good deal but again no where to eat hot food or hot drinks as they are unsure whether the cafeteria will be open in the holidays so we shan't be getting one!
