Fantastic experience: Warm, decent size soft play. Library is massive and the swimming pool/gym is clean.

Positive experience: Seems clean enough, although the men's toilet does not seem to work properly, and has not for quite a long time. It's quite expensive too.

Positive experience: Staff are always pleasant. Just needs more air circulation in the gym and changing rooms. Some gym equipment needs a bit of TLC and maintenance. Otherwise well kitted-out and friendly gym, great sauna and steam room with hot and cold showers.

For the price it should be alot better considering it's a council gym and other gyms ran by the council are alot better

Fantastic experience: Library, gym and swimming pool all in one place, I go quite often with people I support, staff are always friendly. Only disappointment is the jacuzzi has not been working for months, otherwise a great place.

Negative experience: I was unsuccessful in contacting anybody via telephone so visited today for a Children's birthday party’ as I approached the reception there were two assistants present that thought it more important to speak among themselves about non related work issues and I felt awkward at best standing in front of them to eventually be greeted by a rude ignorant male assistant that said yes? I asked if it would be possible to book a place for swimming lessons for my 10yo foster son to which I received a swift response we’re fully booked. I seriously wonder who on earth interviews such horrendous rude staff who are clearly not fit to deal with members of the public. Is it any wonder such council managed businesses are in such turmoil when they employ people that are clearly unhappy within their place of work / role.

Positive experience: Average, I found it really dirty in the gym and needed a good clean which is alarming with a council facility in a COVID pandemic.

Positive experience: The staff are always helpful, the class choices are very limited. The gym is very outdated.

Negative experience: Current policy for the gym and the swimming pool is very bizarre! The prices are ridiculous and you cannot buy a monthly pass... . If the Centre is trying to discourage people from coming then they do a fantastic job!

Positive experience: Too many rules in the swimming pool. Kids couldn't just have fun, they were told off for standing up on the inflatable, weren't allowed to wear goggles that covered their nose. Health and safety gone mad. Will look for somewhere more sensible where kids can be kids and their parents can make the decision over what goggles are suitable for their kids.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff. Reassuring to see covid measures being followed. We are not from the area but the process of using the leisure centre was straightforward and didn't break the bank

Negative experience: Took my daughter here for the first time and I wasn’t really impressed. It’s one big adult pool with no baby and toddler area/pool, the changing facilities are absolutely freezing too! I do expect to be cold when leaving the pool but the temperature was something else. I would return on my own but definitely not with my kids!

Positive experience: Went swimming - despite it being school holiday it wasn't too busy. Shame that my young daughter wasn't allowed to use the pool noodles, and the changing area was SOOO cold

Negative experience: Library review Came here with family to go to bookbug with our toddlers. Was very disappointed. I've been to a couple different library's for bookbug and this was the worst. First of all there's nothing their for the kids. You're locked away in a room so have no easy access to the kids books. And in the room there is no toys or rattles to keep the kids entertained. Some of the parents talked to each other throughout the session. If you want to chat go to a cafe. Some parents also gave food to their kid, as a parent of an allergy child I had to keep my child away. Kids can last 30mins without a snack. Overall very disappointing and will not be going back

Positive experience: Small but decent pool and gym. Has some spa facilities, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi. Also has small soft play area for little kids. £1 coin needed for the lockers and 20p(s) for using hairdryers. Staff seem nice enough, more professional than "friendly". Usually not too busy. Would happily go back, and often do.

Negative experience: £7 pounds for the use of the gym, if it had good machines then fair enough but they are old and pads are worn out with holes in a few of them, in my opinion £4 would be a fair price

Positive experience: Went swimming with a friend and her baby. The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly. However, the pool was quite cold and the changing rooms were freezing so the baby was shivering, it would be better if the changing rooms were warmer.

Positive experience: I spend most days of the week there using the gym, which is well equipped, the library and the swimming pool. The pool is nice and big and I would give it 5 stars but some days it can be too cold! My advice is, if you want to go with young babies try visiting during a time when there is a swimming class either for babies or young children. It is usually slightly warmer then. They have just installed a new soft play, small but quite nice (and rather expensive), however if you want to enjoy a hot drink whilst your children are playing there is only a vending machine. Ample free parking.

Positive experience: We use the swimming pool regularly, it is usually warm enough . The new jacuzzi pool has not opened yet. There is also a steam room and sauna. In the same building is a gym and public library. All in all great community facilities.

Positive experience: Gym quite good but a wee bit tired. Spa has been broken for about 10 months. But hopefully reopening soon. I find it difficult to work in swim times around the other groups who use pool.

Negative experience: Visited several times for badminton tournaments and there have been holes in the walls that haven't been repaired since the first visit. The hall is cold and it's generally quite run down
