Positive experience: The staff are really helpful and polite.

Negative experience: Pool changing rooms are gross half lockers are missing doors or you can see into them, changing cubicals are missing doors and locks on some some staff members are just plain rude and flooring turned my white sliders yellow from when I had been walking on it

Positive experience: Has lots of different activities. Parking can be hard at busy times. Some staff not too friendly but generally ok.

Fantastic experience: Lovely staff. Layout was a little confusing at first, but they gave good directions. Great vibe and lots of energy.

Negative experience: Worst Leisure centre! Always something is out of order on the gym. Sauna?! You never know, how many months be close. Stuff is unprofessional.

Negative experience: Park is dangerous, missing toys/swings, etc old cast iron fence needs painting rusty patches sticking out everywhere needs attention

Positive experience: Good all-around gym, nice sauna, and swimming pool. The slide was good but hasnt been working for a while due to a fault. Fair price for membership.

Negative experience: The last 7 out of 8 baby swimming lessons on Friday have been cancelled at extremely short notice (one notification was only 2 hours before the lesson was due to take place). All cancellation messages have said that the direct debit would be adjusted and refunded, and surprise it hasn't, so they've been taking the full amount for extremely poor service of notification and no swimming lessons. Also it's so hard to find a way to contact somebody to complain or cancel. Shocking service and not the cleanest of places.

Positive experience: This is my closest leisure center, my children have their swimming lessons there and that's all I use it for. The teaching is of a good standard, the staff are often helpful, but as a building it just feels tired to me - not all the changing rooms have doors, making them useless, and it's not always clean, which in truth is more down to other users lack of care that their cleaning rota.

Negative experience: Its an alright gym. Enough equipment and is muscle-group targeted. However, sauna has been broke for months. Gym or Active Nottingham are money hungry by having a policy of "1 month notice of cancellation" i have to pay for a gym i don't want to use just to cancle and not receive a refund.

Negative experience: Incompetent staff. My 8yr old son is allowed to swim in the deep end at ken martins but not here, yet he does stage 4 deep water swimming lessons with active nottingham. What a joke. Manager stumbling across his words as he kept lieing. Avoid!

Positive experience: Enjoyed my step class and gym session afterwards. But what I truly miss is my Saturday am/pm healthsuite experience. It's been 4.5 months since we've had no health suite in this area and now there have been 3 push backs so far to its reopening. Not impressed NC leisure services. We're still expected to pay our fees in full regardless though aren't we!

Positive experience: It's a lovely leisure centre, staff are always polite and friendly. The only thing if say I don't like is the air conditioning in the gym is rubbish.

Fantastic experience: Good range of sports area available. Have only used fitness studio for Zumba gold so far but all areas I've been in seem clean and tidy. Pool area looks nice and we're hoping to use it at a later date.

Negative experience: Update 22/09/24. Downgrading from 5 stars to 1. Originally I liked coming here and my daughter loved her swimming lessons. From Easter this year though, all the swimming teachers seem to have left which meant my daughter went a number of weeks without a swimming lesson. My daughter was also stuck in the same stage for far too long because the teachers didn't bother checking what was left to complete before moving them on to the next stage. After 3 weeks of cancelled lessons in row, it was the last straw and I moved her to hucknall swim school, which is so much better! They immediately moved her up to the next stage saying she was too good for the stage she had been in at the southglade swim school. Still chasing Notts council for a refund for the missed lessons after cancelling the direct debit over 2 months ago - ridiculous!!

Positive experience: Very friendly experience lovely customer service, was all very good. Apart from when me and my partner came outside and he had his bike robbed so if anybody knows and seem a bike get robbed it was a black bike that had ammaco on it and had the colour red on the bike and was next to a white and pink bike it would be useful if anybody has any info please, thankyou.

Positive experience: Normal council leisure centre. Pool is bright and clean, although odd that is has both ends standing depth (0.9m and 1.2m) with a slightly deeper bit (1.5m) at the flags. One week the lifeguards were great, the second week they stood talking the whole time of a 45min swim session, which was disappointing.

Negative experience: The seating area and changing room is full of people's hair when I was there Wednesday gone some chap cleaned the room when he finished it still had bits of hair if it was me cleaning it I would of done a better job

Fantastic experience: Really great leisure centre. The guy on reception was drinking green tea and I saw a bit of snot fall into his cup. I didn’t say anything but we exchanged a look. Second time I went the guy has a glass of water. Bold move sir, bold move.

Negative experience: Hadn't been here in ages so decided go as I knew they had a slide, what I don't understand is why my son needed to prove he could swim 50m before they would allow him in the deep end which he could easily stand up in and had both parents with him I thought the staff were quite rude about this and my son said he doesn’t want to go again. Think his rating was a zero of the pool police

Negative experience: Saunas are scruffy, even a door handle to enter to health suite is rope tied to a hole. Temperature sensors exposed with wires. Saunas not vented, not cleaned, having unpleasant smell.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to the leisure centre to play badminton. I could not have been happier with my visit. There was plenty of car parking spaces, the reception staff were really friendly and helpful and the centre was very clean. I look forward to my next visit. Well done Southglade staff.

Positive experience: I felt that there wasn't many toys in the toddler swimming classes. The water was nice and warm and nice and staff was friendly, but changinrooms where a bit cold.

Negative experience: Nephew's bike stolen from outside, locked up in front of reception. Chain cut and bike is gone. A few months ago it was his Escooter. Clearly there isn't anywhere secure to lock up a bike and they aren't doing anything to prevent the thefts from happening.

Negative experience: The gym is stuffy with poor ventilation. The rooms are not ventilated. Dirty lokers. It is even worse with cleanliness in the sauna. The staff does not wear protective shoes and goes outside for a cigarette. Atletes foot guaranteed sooner or later. The cleanliness of the toilets is a misunderstanding. There is information about the ban on the publication of photos and videos. It is known for what reason

Positive experience: Classes run by Tina are amazing! The centre itself has a nice pool and health suite too, which is always nice after a workout. Would be 5 stars if the floor in the exercise room on the top floor was a little cleaner e.g. a sweep quick sweep between classes would go a long way

Fantastic experience: I was working in the area. I used the gym pay as you go £8.50 a session. I trained around 4.00pm monday to Thursday the gym had 5-10 people in. Its mostly machines and free weights went up to 32s. A very clean gym with local radio on also a few tvs. Cardio equipment is really good. I will be using this gym again when in the area again in the summer. I was not a member but £8.50 imo is about £2 per session too much so I'll try other gyms too. Staff were great. Not a negative experience at all. Very good. Plenty of parking spaces outside too.

Positive experience: Really nice facilities. Everything is very well maintained. Staff are friendly. The spin bikes are amazing, and the pool and changing rooms were very nice. If I was to be slightly critical, as a taller person, the pool is very shallow. The deep end is very shallow, and I can barely swim in the shallow end without actually hitting and kicking the floor of the pool. Overall, very nice though.

Negative experience: I took out an annual membership paid upfront as they said I could have an additional 2 months this way.making 14 months altogether as opposed to paying monthly and get just 12 months. Also if I was ill and needed to put my membership on hold I could so really good I thought. My husband had been ill and I had broken my toe throughout this membership so took them up on postponing my membership for a while. My membership was due to end at beginning of June this year but due to Covid 19 have been unable to use it as have many others.They have extended membership until October but I am unable to use it so have asked to cancel and have 2 1/2 months refunded which they are refusing as say I have had extensions (as entitled) and the 2 months given as an insentive to pay up front are classed as free. All this said I feel I’m being unfairly treated and really hope others are more successful than I was

Fantastic experience: The swimming pool is a decent size and seems to be in good condition. Changing village is in a clean and fine state. Locker that I used had to have a 50p coin to use it. Currently with covid measures, the showers have been disabled and that the sessions need to be booked in advance.

Negative experience: no help really. changing rooms below par especially if you have 4 kids to change. for the price...not worth it. its 30p cheaper per person to go to water meadows and they have a wave machine and showers specially for baby changing for...well...you know lol
