Our comment from FitFit UK about Ironmonger Row Baths:
Ironmonger Row Baths is a remarkable leisure center located in the heart of London, offering a unique blend of modern amenities and historical charm. Visitors consistently praise the fantastic sauna and thermal spa facilities, which are designed with thoughtful aesthetics aimed at maximizing relaxation. Guests have noted the affordable pricing for treatments and spa access, making it an excellent choice for those seeking value for their wellness experience.
Many users highlight the exceptional customer service provided by the staff, particularly appreciating the efforts of individuals like Wafa, Anna, and Aisha who have left a lasting positive impression due to their attentiveness and kindness. The warm atmosphere and community-oriented vibe are especially noted by regulars who enjoy the less crowded and stress-free environment.
However, there are areas that require attention. Some users have reported issues with the cleanliness of the changing rooms and general maintenance throughout the facility. Improvements are needed in the showers and changing room hygiene, with feedback indicating that they often fall below acceptable standards. Additionally, while the gym equipment has been refurbished, some visitors feel that a more thorough cleaning regimen and operational updates are essential.
Despite these challenges, Ironmonger Row Baths remains a favored destination among many locals for swimming, relaxation, and fitness. With the right focus on maintenance, it has the potential to elevate its already positive standing in the community even further.

Ironmonger Row Baths: Opinions
Positive experience: Fabulous thermal spa with great value, but the outstanding customer service truly stands out. We were running very late and thought we’d miss our treatments, which was so stressful after looking forward to it for ages. The staff, from the phone team to the spa itself, were incredibly kind and worked hard to ensure we still got to enjoy our time and relax. The spa and treatments were wonderful, but the staff made all the difference. Special thanks to Wafa, Anna, and Aisha for taking such great care of us!
Negative experience: Staff clearly don't communicate & the rudeness from a member of staff in the Spa was extremely unprofessional
Negative experience: There are two Elderly female staff here, the shorter one is so Rude and would talk to People very rudely. A simple question I asked her got her walking out on me and telling she is busy and don't have this time. It wasn't the first time she would behave this way. I don't know if it's a thing about about colour, but now I am worried about signing up my kids to swim at the Centre, so she doesn't treat them badly.
Positive experience: Great sauna and spa in central London with a thoughtful design and reasonable prices. Whoever designed this place clearly knew what they were doing, and it shows in the atmosphere. However, two issues could easily be fixed to improve the experience. First, noise levels in the sauna and quiet areas are way too high. Although there are signs reminding guests to be quiet, there’s no enforcement, and many people ignore them. Other saunas I’ve been to have staff members who walk around to ensure guests are maintaining the quiet atmosphere, and this would be highly beneficial here. Secondly, the saunas aren’t particularly hot. While I understand that newcomers might prefer lower temperatures, having at least one truly hot sauna would be a fantastic addition for those who enjoy a more intense heat. With these adjustments, this spa could be outstanding!
Negative experience: Center is clean and well-presented. Equipment in gym also in good condition. I’m glad such a nice building was refurbished. Male changing rooms not very nice though. And the water cut out this morning meaning no showers or taps, with no signs or staff coming round to let people know facilities are out of order, which isn’t a great experience. Customer service isn’t really great either, with staff not very helpful in general. It all adds up to feel a bit careless. Totally fine if you live or work nearby though as I guess you can just go home to shower. Not really good enough for a Better gym and everything that comes with that though.
Negative experience: Gym is ok, nothing special. The mens changing rooms (both for the pool and gym) are disgusting and are definitely not cleaned properly. Place in need of a revamp and a proper clean ASAP.
Positive experience: Loved the spa and sauna experience!! Excellent array of steam rooms, rain rooms, plunge pool lounge areas and a wonderful relaxation room with beds, dim lights and calm music. Beautifully designed and elegantly executed. The vibe was occasionally disturbed by the copious pairs of women using the spa for catching up.
Fantastic experience: Amazing saunas !!
Fantastic experience: I had a de-stress massage with the Spa Experience based at Iron Monger Row Baths today. It was excellent from start to finish. I had Anna who was very good. I was so relaxed I didn't want to move. I think I'm going to treat myself once a month. A brilliant experience.
Negative experience: Overall, a terrible experience. Booked to use the pool - which is one of the more expensive ones compared to other Better health locations and is mediocre, at best. The female changing rooms were also closed (which isn’t the first time, from what we heard), so everyone had to squeeze into the tiny baby/family changing area that had no showers, no toilets and hardly any space. This was also not communicated to us beforehand or by the receptionist on arrival, so there wasn’t even a good level of customer service to make up for the shockingly bad facilities.
Negative experience: This betterswim facility is on the pricier side, charging £7.10 for entry and an additional £1 to use the lockers, but unfortunately, it’s also one of the worst I’ve visited. The ladies' main changing room was out of order, leaving us with fewer options. The overall cleanliness was poor and the strong, unpleasant smell throughout the place made the experience even worse. Given the price and the lack of upkeep, I definitely would not recommend this swimming facility. It’s simply not worth the cost.
Fantastic experience: Great venue, my wife went for a 90-minute massage and aromatherapy. She came out like a rubber band, relaxed, muscle pummeled to within an inch of their tolerance in a good way. What appreciated about the treatment was the value for money. It doesn't feel like you are paying for the establishment over heads. You are laying down money for the treatment. Highly recommended.
Negative experience: Pool changing rooms and toilets smell of urine, no soap in toilets for weeks on end and pool water murky please make this BETTER the cleanliness and hygiene of this centre is well below standards! It’s funny how your newly refurbished spa in the basement that cost £40-45 a session is immaculate and spotless? Gym air con is also out of order yet again
Positive experience: Long time since iv been there used to do water aerobic and exercise it was fun
Positive experience: I've been going to this better gym for the past 6 months and I really enjoy it. Varied classes and nice staff. It would be nice if there were more classes throughout the week. For instance on Wednesday mornings there are currently no options.
Positive experience: Very clean... staff a little to happy to throw you out ... shame
Fantastic experience: I came here yesterday with about 6 of my dearest and it was so magical from start to finish! Rodi & Anna were so kind and generous, the location was beautiful and the spa was so good! Grateful thank you so much ❤️
Fantastic experience: Love it Old school Community baths Well run Clean Water nice and cool for swimming
Fantastic experience: A great for a swim in the heart of London. Great value, too.
Positive experience: I’ve been using this gym and swimming pool for so long but not happy with them anymore. Whenever I book for swimming for my kids they gave me trouble. Although my kids big enough (13 years old) they keep telling me the same story that they are too small to go for swim for fitness. My children passed the test each time but they were still making fuss about it. At the end I have to cancel their membership and found new place for them. They renewed all the equipments in there but the toilets are in a mess. Block sink and no soap in any toilets. So disappointed !!!
Fantastic experience: Newly redecorated Thermal Facilities are amazing, loved it so much! Staff were super nice and welcoming, thank you. I’d love the cold plunge to be a bit colder and the hottest sauna to be a bit hotter but finding a good range of temperatures for sauna lovers is a challenge these days everywhere. They’re trying to accommodate general public.
Fantastic experience: Loved the spa experience best ever.
Positive experience: I was apprehensive to go back since the refurbishment because of some pretty negative reviews but... I still went for it and was really happily surprised. I took my friend who's visiting from America and it was such a lovely way to spend the day. Very pretty, sleek look to the overall place. Good range of facilities; 2 steam rooms, 2 saunas, a 3 room 'hot' room, cold plunge pool, cold water bucket, an ice room, rain themed showers, a resting room, 2 types of herbal tea, 2 naturally flavoured waters, red and green apples to snack. Staff were friendly and explained how everything worked when we got there. Definitely want to go back. However, we did leave thinking that we'd like to try the female only session as there were a couple of frustrating experiences with men being loud and taking up a lot of space.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic spa and great value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. Love the cold water bucket...
Negative experience: Such a shame as both the sauna rooms and steam rooms are not hot enough but just "luke"warm, and the staff refused to turn up the heat to make them hotter to near or at the maximum temperature. Many other people in the sauna were saying the same thing, but were ignored by staff who refused to increase the temperature. For example, the dry sauna can go uo to 90C but it was around 85 to 86 C, but really needs to be at 90C for a dry sauna to really feel hot and sweat. However, the facilities are very nice if they could just turn up the sauna and steams rooms to the max heat otherwise what the point of going to a sauna if its not hot and you don't sweat.!
Fantastic experience: Beautifully maintained with a wide range of facilities and friendly staff. I loved my time here and will definitely return.
Positive experience: Good place for a relaxing day/evening. Sauna and cold showers is great.
Negative experience: Tried booking online and the payment wouldn’t go thru without stating any reason. Called customer service and they asked me to go directly to the venue. When arrived at the venue they said they were full. Wasted 2 hour journey and travel costs
Positive experience: The pool is good – 30m and it's fast too. But there are so many failings here and they're just not being addressed. The men's changing rooms can only be described as a disgrace. They're dirty, infrequently cleaned and in very poor shape. The issue with the showers has been going on for years and despite numerous complaints (and a few on here) it's never been addressed. The showers operate for 3-10 seconds at a time, which is ridiculous. They're frequently tepid at best. Many of the lockers have broken locks. The hairdryers don't work (one runs cold only, the other working one has been removed). The gym has been shut with no notice on several occasions to facilitate... painting works? There is new equipment now but it's not correctly installed (the network capabilities on the machines aren't enabled, for example). But hey, there's a new spa. I would suggest prioritising the things that 95% of your membership use – showers, changing rooms – above a 'jungle experience ice shower'. It's nice to see a 1930s building still being maintained, but not when the levels of maintenance are akin to an 18th century poor house.
Fantastic experience: The kind of fancy retreat you would expect in the countryside but in the heart of the city. The newly decorated baths/spa feels like pure luxury. Everyone, from the front desk to the masseuse will host you like any other 5 star resort. If you get an opportunity to choose a treatment, you will not be disappointed. Sacha and Ibi who provided our treatments were both excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Fantastic experience: I am local to the area and I happened to amble into the centre and talked to the lady at reception. Her name is Umma. While having a conversation she was very forthcoming with information for our needs. Made us understand options without ambiguity. Helped us to choose most appropriate. She was calm, informed and pleasant while processing our membership. I would award more than 5 stars if I could.
Fantastic experience: My godchildren are always so excited to come here. The people, The facility, the space. Everything is standard n well mentained.
Negative experience: Dear Team Member I hope this information finds you well, although I must express my extreme dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs regarding my membership at your facility. Firstly, I took the time to compose a detailed email outlining the issues I've been facing, only to find that my concerns have gone unanswered. Subsequently, I had to resort to contacting your customer service via phone, which is not only inconvenient but also highly frustrating. Now, let's delve into the unbelievable situation at hand. I have recently been notified of an exorbitant price increase from £65 to £69, allegedly due to some unspecified "expense situation." Frankly, this is unacceptable, especially considering the myriad of problems I have been facing within your facility. The hair dryers, for instance, are consistently malfunctioning, rendering them useless. Additionally, the showers have been consistently cold, making the post-workout experience far from pleasant. Equally distressing is the apparent lack of attention to the gym equipment, which remains in disrepair. It is mind-boggling that despite bringing these issues to your attention, there has been no visible effort to rectify or address any of them. As a paying member, I expect a certain level of service and maintenance, none of which seem to be forthcoming. I implore you to take immediate action to rectify these ongoing problems and provide a satisfactory resolution. I believe that as a customer, I am entitled to a level of service that reflects the fees I am paying. Failing to address these concerns promptly will leave me with no choice but to reconsider my continued membership at your facility. I trust that you will treat this matter with the urgency it deserves and provide a comprehensive response outlining the steps that will be taken to resolve these issues
Negative experience: 16gbp squash is a robbery and the courts are covered in dust and cold.
Fantastic experience: I visited the spa it was a very nice experience a lady gave me a massage I believe her name was Ibby she was brilliant it was a bamboo massage which I haven't had before I was very impressed. Thank-you
Fantastic experience: Great experience for relaxing. Location makes even better.
Fantastic experience: Amazing new spa facilities, excellent value for money and wonderful massage from Ima!
Negative experience: Smell coming out of mens urinals area unbearable… no one was doing anything about it..
Positive experience: Nice pool, although it is a strange non standard distance. The changing areas are not great to swim and then change for work
Positive experience: Location is strategic and overall the offer available at this sport centre is good, however the facility is fairly old and not enough maintenance is done, especially the changing room areas where, for example, the showers are old and don't work properly. It is also cold while changing.. not ideal after being in the water. Surely some improvements would increase the general appreciation of the regular users :)
Fantastic experience: One of my favourite pools in London so far..why? I DO not know may be that old fashioned ceiling
Fantastic experience: I learned to swim here in the 1980s and now my daughter loves her swimming lessons here. It underwent significant modernisation a few years ago and for a council facility it is outstanding; good value, fantastic pool and nice spa with Turkish baths. I don’t use the gym or classes so can’t offer a view on those.
Positive experience: Apparently you're supposed to book in advance for a 50 minute slot, but I was able to use the pool without doing that, as it wasn't busy. The drinks vending machine wasn't working. The showers next to the pool weren't working (but in the changing rooms were). The water fountain next to the pool wasn't working. The entrance to the Female changing rooms wasn't working (not that it affected me). The pool itself is a good length and seems fine, compared to the other facilities. Lanes seemed a little narrow.
Positive experience: Changing rooms undergoing a bit of renovation but the changing rooms are spacious and enough shower facilities. The pool itself is nice, with a deep deep end. Also has a learner pool. Also offers floaties for anyone to use which is good. Went for a lane swim after work and the slow lane is nice and wide is good
Negative experience: Unable to use pool as the lockers are only operated by £1 coin. Would be nice if they could provide this useful information online or had people answering the phone (the phone number goes to a generic menu with no ability to speak to local staff). There is no vending machine for coins/locker tokens. Also did not offer student prices for single visit despite these being listed online as a concession.
Negative experience: What sort of gym doesn't provide towels? Very disappointing. Even worse to have the guy at reception CLAIMING no gyms in London provide towels anymore since Covid. Hahahahhah what a bold stupid statement,as if he works in ALL the gyms in London. Ohh honey,I am currently using pools in both fitness first and Nuffield, they all provide towels. Maybe think before you lie.
Fantastic experience: Pool is not crowded, spa is closed for a while due to refurbishment. First lane was wide enough to swim without any interruption.
Negative experience: They out the price of squash up to £15. Day light robbery
Fantastic experience: Very nice and clean place to swim!
Negative experience: Stinks of the sewers' miserable staff. Dirty toilets Not worth the money.
Positive experience: They've polished the place up since last time I came, actually using the in-desk cupholders instead of printing out a picture of the texture of the desk and sticking it over the holes. Things of note; changing rooms tunes were on the verge of creating an atmosphere, keep up the tempo, no ballards when the balls are out. Weird shower button press that you have to hold down all the time and sometimes when you do even that it turns off. Ear popping Mariana depth trench in the deep end. Megawide slowlane dreams. I could squeeze 3 wide, with no elbows.
Fantastic experience: It is a very nice swimming pool. The changing rooms are adequately cleaned. The pool is not too crowded, about 1-3 people per lane. Swimming for fitness is perfect for anyone to pick up swimming, regardless of your ability
Positive experience: Okayish pool, changing rooms are not very clean, only 1 working hairdryer. A bit too expensive for pool quality you get.
Fantastic experience: Lovely pool, super clean. Gem in central London ❤️
Fantastic experience: Lovely old fashioned building that is very modern inside. The pools are great and the kids pool is perfect for the grand kids. Good changing rooms, good pricing.
Fantastic experience: The hygiene of the changing rooms is quite poor (not that many swimming pools in London offer much better), but the pool itself is absolutely lovely. It is quite long, rather uncrowded, yet not too wide, and the interior looks like from some vintage movie, giving, literally, Fargo vibes. They also have a wider lane for less rapid swimmers.
Positive experience: I've been focusing more on swimming and BJJ rather than just lifting, and needed a better pool than the fancy, but kind of less for training more for posing, pools in Third Space. First impressions of Ironmonger are pretty good. Light, airy and a good view of the pool when you get in. Changing rooms are a bit shabby, and the floors could've done with a proper clean up but the facilities are decent. You'll need a pound coin for the lockers. The pool is amazing, the cleanest water I've seen for ages. All the Better pools have had amazing cleanliness. The pool was divided into four lanes and nicely quiet with a lifeguard. Showers are a bit annoying. You need to keep pressing the button to keep water running. So to summarise. Facilities are a bit ramshackle but the pools are exceptional. Well worth the entry fee / membership if you're a swimmer
Negative experience: Changing rooms and toilets are dirty , no soap either , the showers smell of urine , I complained in person but nothing changed , I sent an email and they never got back to me as a result I cancelled my membership, such a shame because the pool was lovely .
Positive experience: The quality of the swimming pool is good. Not very crowded specially after 19.00. A downside would be the cleanliness of the restrooms, which could be improved.
Negative experience: Summary: good distance 30m pool, management do not follow up on complaints, cleanliness is so poor led to cancelling membership. One of the strong points of this centre is the swimming pool. It is 30m which is a good length for longer swim sessions. Other than that, most other points about the facilities are negative. Having raised a couple of complaints and a piece of feedback to Better support, the management only followed up on one of those and even then no action was taken after three months had lapsed. The timer for the water in the showers is literally two seconds which makes it inconvenient to press the ON button tens and tens of times and impossible to turnaround and wash. This could be a quick win but has been the case for half a year. The general cleanliness of the centre is poor at best and the biggest issue. The men's changing rooms always (not almost always but always) has a puddle with hair and dust, the bucket for the swimsuit dryer is more often than not overflowing, and the benches typically have discarded items from members and are generally unclean. While there are many members using the facilities on a daily basis, it would be unreasonable to expect them to be clean all the time but nevertheless maintenance is too infrequent. Maybe you can live with most of these but the worst experience recently was when excrement was found on the floor in the main area of the changing rooms which was there for at least a couple of hours (which goes back to showing how infrequent the changing rooms are maintained). Not to be too graphic but there was no mistaking this for mud as an example, the smell confirming that too, while it had also been stepped on and spread. Having raised this to support who supposedly escalated this to management, they never followed up. This must be the worst thing a member can experience and it was treated in the same manner as any other issue (i.e. without much care or action to resolve). Cancelled membership, after allowing a couple of weeks to lapse to hear back.
Fantastic experience: Good water temperature for a swim workout. Water is clean and not overly chlorinated. Note the pool is 30.5 metres.
Fantastic experience: Thanks for Eren for finding my lost stuff. Very good and helpful lifeguard. He is the best and not everyone can help the same he is helping customers. Thank you again Eren.
Fantastic experience: Very impressive, clean and extensive facilities. The lady at the front desk, Umma was extremely helpful and friendly!
Negative experience: Very misleading pictures, the gym is actually tiny as most rooms shown on the pictures are empty. They just crammed all the equipment to the top floor. Changing rooms are very old and a bit grime. There's no hand soap even though I let the staff know in 2 separate occasions (so over a month period). The only good thing is that the gym is quiet so you don't have to wait to use the equipment
Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool, you can either walk-in or buy a membership. It's super convenient for me, I can book and get to them in like 1-2 hours.
Fantastic experience: Such a great find, really liked that they have a wider lane for the slow people and it gave me so much more space. Changing rooms were clean and lockers aplenty.
Positive experience: Good facilities and staff are very welcoming. Pool depth is lovely for deep dives and great for practicing your breathing technique
Negative experience: The swimming pool and the female changing room have been really dirty recently.
Positive experience: Enjoyable gym session, friendly staff when visiting Saturday. Caution if riding there as bike rack is not covered by cctv, incidents have occurred.
Negative experience: Very very poor and lazy administration. And the equipment models are as old as my dad. (10 years old -at least- models I presume) Back extension stand: Has been MISSING for 3(THREE) months. Maintenance is applied unless a machine gets broken. Leg curl machine today, I saw the cable finally has been broken away, left the machine unusable. Praying for that it won't take another 3 months. A hook is MISSING from one of the Cable Machines. So that end of the machine is literally unuseable. Causing queues on the chest w.o) A SEAT is missing from one of the machines, stg you sit and pull 2 bars and excercise your back thing. Not to mention how torn the weight benches' covers are. I am searching for another gym. Would give a bit more money and work-out with peace of mind.
Fantastic experience: Possibly one of the nicest pools I've ever been to in London. Prices aren't crazy and it was pretty quiet when we went for a Sunday. I wanted to take a peek at the spa rooms before leaving but was told that the area is closed for refurbishment - maybe one day I'll get a chance to visit when its open :)
Fantastic experience: Really smart pool. Hadn't been here for ages but all the refurb work is amazing
Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for more than a decade, long before the renovation. The prices have gone up, but it is still good value for the range of facilities size of the space. Never feels too crowded. Personally I love the steam rooms and in a twisted way I also enjoy the cold plunge pool.
Positive experience: Big leisure centre around the corner from Old St. Station. Currently undergoing partial but extensive restoration. Most of it still open.
Fantastic experience: I have been swimming at ironmonger for years and it has everything you want in a leisure centre.very happy!
Negative experience: BE WARNED - Read the small print t&c's before getting a membership here!! Despite being closed they continue to take payment citing that I could swim nationwide (no interest in travelling to swim elsewhere). They cite 3 weeks notice to cancel when signing-up, but will not refund any direct debit taken within that 3 week period - so if your direct debit comes out on day 21 after cancellation you will effectively be paying for the 21 days + additional 1 month on top - so actually more like 7-8 weeks. Really disappointed - warning everyone in local area against BETTER and this swim centre.
Positive experience: Yoga every Saturday. New venue as we've been moved across from Finsbury Lesuire Centre. We're above the swimming pool, but I wish there were windows for more ventilation. Grt session though.
Negative experience: Closed for 10 days already because of the small fire in the basement, in the isolated area from the rest of the gym and pool area. Safety is always important but i do wonder if it was necessary to shut the whole 3 floor venue because of the isolated problem in the basement.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been a BETTER member for a few years now, and have only discovered issues once or twice. Ironmonger is one of the most historic swimming pools I’ve had the opportunity to swim in, but unfortunately there is little information on the history of this place from inside. Sometimes the pool can be full and all bunched up in one lane, but that’s more the fault of swimmers rather than management. For a emptier pool, try Cally which is also owned by BETTER.
Negative experience: Absolutely shoddy service. Better is supposed to be a social enterprise. In reality they’re milking Covid for all it’s worth to enrich themselves while leaving customers high and dry. After waiting 30 minutes to ask a simple question about swimming times and booking, Better gave me an automated message saying their lines are so busy they cannot answer my call. On 27 December. Yeah, right. They’re all “working from home” and couldn’t be bothered taking the call. The gym at York Hall in Bethnal Green charges extortionate prices for the gym. Now this. It’s high time that local officials and ministers took a look at Better’s funding because they do not serve the community they claim to do.
Fantastic experience: Visited the spa which is very luxurious and came away feeling wonderful! Lots of different suanas and steam rooms to chose from. Tea available to drink in the relax area. I even took a dip in the icy plunge pool! Would highly recommend and I will be back.
Fantastic experience: I’m a keen swimmer and have swum in most of the pools in London. This is a very good pool. Normally I’d keep this information to myself so it wouldn’t get to busy. But this is a wrong way to go through life. Enjoy
Positive experience: Very nice building. Original features kept on the outside. I wasn't in long but I enjoyed my time there. It passed without incident but I had a nice 20 mins in the pool as its my first time back in a few years.
Fantastic experience: review for the spa: good value for money, and they do day pass ~£25 for 2 hours I think the spa is closed currently for refurb, so best call first if your after the spa
Negative experience: Avoid the spa - certainly not a luxury experience. Smelt, felt grimy and dirty and they had no soap in toilets or showers.
Positive experience: Quiet gym area, not much equipment. Swimming is good but changing rooms can be cleaned better
Positive experience: Lovely building, decent size pool. Although the swimming lanes are pretty tight. The gyms are spread over the upper floors which is a bit odd, biggest challenge I found is that the free weights and machines felt a little claustrophobic.
Fantastic experience: Great venue for swim, right in the heart of East London. The pool and facilities are very clean. I would recommend anyone to try out the venue. The fact that it is part of Better Leisure Centre is a huge advantage
Negative experience: I tried to call them and they didn't pick up the phone , later on I found from the lady in the office they don't have a phone. I looked the opening hours and I saw 9:30am but it wasn't ,they were opening at 10:00am. So I waited and when it was the time she told me that I must go online if I want to book , because apparently they can't sign you up like what a bummer right? To release later on thanks to her for telling me that I can book for after 12am... When I woke up in the morning I am like I want to go swim and relax on my day off ,the only thing that happened was to waste 2 hours.. and because I was cycling I got even tired only because they don't pick up the phone and because of the outdated timetable...
Fantastic experience: For the price and facilities, this spa is amazing! £26 for 2 hours to use all the sauna, steam rooms etc. Definitely recommend.
Fantastic experience: Great facilities, love the fact that swimming, gym and spa and relaxation time are all under the same roof. Friendly and very helpful staff. The massages are amazing, a must try for sure. Not just that, you can also get your waxing done and facials too, how about that.
Positive experience: Staff need to be more engaging and equipment needs updating, have more cleaning staff.
Fantastic experience: Lovely and clean Lovely staff Lovely inner city swimming pool.
Negative experience: Very poor staff attitude and organisation. One the manager spent ten minutes screaming a guy in the pool. The others were either watching phones or letting family members break guidelines on swimming. Nice facilities but really poor customer service.
Fantastic experience: Probably my favourite swimming pool in London. No flumes or anything like that. Just lane swimming in a fantasticly designed pool, bright and airy.
Fantastic experience: Really chuffed with this leisure centre. Bargain price for an off-peak membership to use the pool and the gym. It's perfect for me because I normally work in the evening. The building is so beautiful (find it funny that some people think this place is a maze!) and is really well sign posted. The staff are friendly and one particular lady was super helpful on my first day. My main delight though is that it's really clean! I've been to a few gyms and pools in London and they are often really grubby and the water feels old and viscous! I've also had lots of friendly and cheerful chats with regular members so feel as if I might build up some fun banter with some people over time. No wonder the reviews are good! Really happy to have found this place.
Fantastic experience: It's just beautiful, and makes living in London so much better for me. Staff are almost always great.
Positive experience: We like it because it's chilled out incomparison to the all bells and whistles brittania. It's not packed. The training pool is nice and warm and it's not overwhelming for very young beginners
Fantastic experience: So happy I've found this place. Loving the heritage public baths in London that really makes the difference. It's clean, friendly and very relax, not too crowded neither. Hopefully it stays as good in the following months as it has just reopened.
Negative experience: Staff were so miserable, gym is the worst Better I've been too, confusing to get around. not for me
