Positive experience: First time at this pool lovely and clean good value for money .lovely staff the onky thing that is not good is pool temperature freezing also am not too keen on communal showers but would definitely return

Positive experience: Not much there in terms of machines and often the music is blasting and way too loud. Classes are in the same room as the gym. I would say it's basic and okay.

Negative experience: Will never go back....it was dirty disgusting....the floor was dirty grimey big clumps of hair all over the floor....makes my skin crawl thinking about it.....yuk..!!!!!!!

Negative experience: Clean swimming pool, but it is not fit for purpose. Tiny pool, overpriced tickets, cramming inside, unable to have a good swim, hardly any time for working people to swim in peace . Not even open Friday afternoon?? Normanton needs to build a bigger one with working-people friendly opening hours and reduced prices. Also need to have swimming classes in the afternoon for working people.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and helpful team, facilities are very clean, only issue I had was lack of signage/information about where the lockers and showers as it was my first visit and has two yong children with me, but now I know the next visit will be a lot easier. The swimming lessons for kids are very well organised and instructors very knowledgeable and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Train there every week. Staff always very polite and always happy to help with any questions. Could do with a few more machines but they make the most of the space they have

Positive experience: Excellent classes and instructors. Not as modern as sun lane but has gym area and area for class such as Zumba and body combat.

Fantastic experience: Its a small but friendly place I took my young children because not many others would allow 1 adult with two children. They had a nice time learning and playing in the swimming pool.

Fantastic experience: I had been trying to find a venue that would help me improve my movement and muscular mobility and this has been the answer to my needs warmer water fantastic instructors great exercises I would recommend this whole heartedly to anyone looking.to.improve their mobility

Positive experience: The presence of more lifeguards has been a welcome addition. The change overs from various classes has become more stream line resulting in no bottle neck in the changing and reception areas , making a safer visit. Thank you.

Positive experience: Changing rooms are slightly lacking however it's not crowded with "fun splash" at certain times and a decent place to just go swimming on your own.

Fantastic experience: The staff at the pool & gym are brilliant! They all take really good care of the place & are really helpful. So lucky to have this place on the doorstep. The pool is really clean & well organized. I have recently started at the gym & can't recommend their classes & their facilities enough. Excellent!

Positive experience: Best on Tuesday with little ones as it is warmer for the oldies fitness sessions...however, watch the time as you have to get out when it is changed to lane swimming...unless you can swim a length.

Fantastic experience: I lived just round the corner to Castleford pool until in their wisdom they decided to close it. The manager managed it and Normanton pool jointly. A customer friendly man in every aspect of his job. So I and a few others thought we would try Normanton pool. Best decision we ever made. The manager runs a very accessible, clean pool with very helpful friendly staff who accepted us as strangers but within weeks felt part of a big family with the locals also very friendly. That was nearly two years ago and we have no intention of moving elsewhere. Thanks mainly to the Manager and his Staff.

Fantastic experience: Nice pool 3pm mondays is a good time to visit as the children have finished there class

Positive experience: Good pool but starting to feel a bit dated in comparison to Sun Lane. Swim tags are an hour out and seem to miss 1st 2 length

Fantastic experience: The pool is good, it is a simple swimming pool with family hours also on the timetable where they segregate half the pool and throw in lots of floats for the kids to play with. Attached to the pool is a gym which is fantastic and the best gym I've ever used. It's a modern affair, with very few of the typical sit-down training machines. Instead, it's all bags, balls and dumbbells with friendly staff who are happy to help and guide you how to achieve your goals. It's a no pressure gym, so pushy sales for personal sessions, just a modern and friendly place to keep fit. 5 stars.
