Hatchford Brook Golf Club

Fantastic experience: Wow, we have used Hatchford brook on many occasions however I am so over the moon that we had our wedding party here. After eloping abroad we decided to have our wedding party here and what a fantastic idea it was. Shay was brilliant in helping organise everything as was Kerry, super helpful and on hand answering any questions really quickly. The food was amazing, like really good! The staff on the night were super friendly and even got involved in our evening making it extra special, nothing was too much for them. I cannot recommend having any function here, it’s a lovely room and well worth the money, great value for money. Thank you hatchford brook for the best night ever!

Negative experience: Worst greens I've ever seen. Generally just not looked after, bare patches and lots of weeds. Bunkers mostly unraked but didn't see rakes in many. Not worth the money.

Negative experience: The fairways were kept quiet well, but the greens were herendous the worst I've ever seen. Was thinking of getting my money back, Will give it a wide berth shocking.

Negative experience: It's a nice parkland course, just spoilt by poor bunkers & patchy, bumpy greens. The fairways are wide & in the main, good condition. A couple of greens were spoilt by tyre tracks. They're also slow & uneven. There is a nice clubhouse & driving range.

Fantastic experience: I have been a customer of hatchford Brook golf and gym for 13 years, I love to go and play golf with my friends in the twilight hours and in winter use the gym, me and my friends have signed up to "Get active in golf" which is a six week program that supports group golf sessions for all abilities as part of the welbeing hub!, we are half way through and I wanted to tell everyone just how good this is, the golf pro Cameron is truely exceptional, the best yet! he runs private one to ones from Hatchford brook for adults and children, which I will continue after the get in golf finishes. The staff are a delight and Cameron adds to this. We eat from the restaurant and you don't have to be a member to the club to come and enjoy lunch, our friends regularly come to dine also, Thank to the new my time active health hub for all the programs thats available.

Fantastic experience: Very pleased with the course conditions fairways cut and the rough is cut and easily find ball. Recommend to friends and family to go and have a great day out with options of food afterwards

Positive experience: I played in an alliance match and I wasn't impressed with the greens or the lack of definition on the fairways sometimes feeling that there wasn't a fairway in site.on a plus note the food was great but remember card only payments

Negative experience: Greens equivalent to most courses temps, bunkers that were in use contain far to many stones and weed, several fairways needing to be cut. 3 players playing with two sets of clubs making a very slow round did not help. Only positive were the receptionists / barmaids who were very pleasant. Won’t return in a hurry.

Negative experience: Course poorly looked after with tire track marks over most greens. In the past month I’ve tried going to the range 3 times and every time I’ve been told they’ve ran out of balls.

Negative experience: one barman charged us £10.24 for 2 drinks the other one charged us £11.24 for the same drinks. no price lists anywhere and no itemised reciept. card only, won't gothere again!

Positive experience: What a great course, definitely worth playing here, very well kept.

Negative experience: Horrendous course £25 a round for a course poorly looked after , Greens barely playable and bunkers that look more like a quarrys than sand bunkers. Played on the 18/04/2024 and had to skip 3/4 greens due to poor condition , no prior warning of poor playing surfaces would never play here again. Raised a complaint and was shrugged of and basically told “oh well” send and email

Negative experience: Awful. Paying a monthly membership, I went to the range 5 hours before it closes because course was closed. And they have run out of balls so turned me away, with no mention of this on website. 4 staff were sitting on a table drinking because they have nothing to do since everything's closed. My question - how do you not plan for a busy day with extra balls? And why not have an update on the website to stop people wasting a trip? And Mytime have no other local courses (e.g. Pype Hayes, Cocks Moors) with a range so I'm forced to this one only. Starting to question my membership

Negative experience: I visited your golf centre and was very disappointed with several different areas of the centre. Firstly, the lack of friendly front line staff who look miserable and unapproachable. A simple good morning or a smile doesn’t cost anything. The poor etiquette throughout the centre was non-existent. Letting people play in Rugby shirts and any sort of shorts. The course is in fair condition but, discarded beer cans and bottles throughout the course is unacceptable. I appreciate you have bins around the course and you can’t be responsible for loutish behaviour. My partner paid £28 because he booked online to secure the booking and was not told it would cost me £32 if I paid on the day. Your course would benefit having a Course Stewart at the start and around the course.

Negative experience: Over priced golf course. £32.00 for a municipal golf course is outrageous. There were empty cider cans left on the side of the course with beer bottles thrown on the tee areas.. Clearly no dress code in place when allowing people to play in rugby shirts and combat shorts Mytime have ruined a historic course with their greediness by neglecting the course and charging over the price.. you can play a nice private course for Less money

Positive experience: Popular 18 hole municipal golf course. Nice, modern clubhouse with a gym. Shame the golf course doesn't match. Hatchford Brook has always been a busy track, often resulting in slow rounds due to inexperienced golfers, usually four balls. Played here in Feb. Greens were poor and the bunkers were littered with stones. At £12 for 9 holes it needs to up it's game a bit.

Negative experience: The last 5 times I've visited, the range has been out of balls 3 times. Every time at least 2hrs before closing. Gym entry never works. Cancelled my membership and breathed a sigh of relief that I didn't buy a year. Unbelievable waste of time and money. No surprise that its empty.

Negative experience: I am reviewing the driving range. What an absolutely terrible state the range is in. At £8 per 100 balls it's quite dear. Especially when you see how poor condition alot of the balls are. Many had splits, weren't even round, and had more chips than your local McDonald's. Pointless practising shots when there is so much inconsistency with the quality/condition of balls. The booths are nicely spacious but that's the best of it. Most of the turf mats are split, half the feeding machines are broken. It's no wonder the range was virtually empty. The course targets are quite drab as well. Don't waste your time or money.

Positive experience: Pace is always slow some of the staff are rude pitch condition isn't great either on the greens and the fairways. Feel like it's overpriced for what you get. I was in Kent the other week playing and that was £25 to go round and the difference was night and day. I feel like if you go to most my time active owned courses the pace is slow but it's worse at hatchford than the others.

Negative experience: I’m only talking about the driving range here. It is appalling. Out of all the bays only one actually has the autoball that works. The rest have white tape on them saying ‘Out of order’ . What is out of order is the management who have left this as it is for many months. It’s an absolute disgrace and more disgraceful management that they cannot fix this.

Positive experience: Had.nt been here for a long time and really surprised with the changes all good too.Course in lovely condition greens could do with a bit of attention and the bunkers not the best but still 9/10..

Fantastic experience: Only had time for the range. It is well maintained but a little elevated so balls fly a little further than normal. Course looks nice and so close to the airport.

Negative experience: I've been here just for the driving range as only learning and most of the booths aren't upto scratch at all with bit not working properly, bits broken off,and the coffee machine was broken, thinks it just needs money spending on the bays

Positive experience: Review for golf course. Looks like a short course but has plenty of long par 4s which challenge a novice golfer like me. In good nick and very well priced........been again today (28th may) and course is about as good a nick as I've seen it.

Fantastic experience: Great open fairways, which are very forgiving should you hit those occasional wayward shots fast greens which are well kept. All round I thought it was a great course to play, although the plane noise can be a bit of putting at times ✈

Fantastic experience: Brilliant facilities for novices like myself, I've used the driving range a few times and it's a real workout. The actual course is pristine, so something for golfers at any level. Staff are very welcoming, great for hot or cold drinks as well.

Negative experience: Nice place. No vegan options. No dairy free milk alternatives.

Fantastic experience: Nice driving range. The heater found outside for each pad was a nice bonus as today was a cold day.

Positive experience: A decent golf course owned by Mytime active. Booking relatively easy online, although website is a bit fiddly. Main novelty is a few of the holes run alongside the runway at Birmingham airport. Course in decent nick for the price. On the negative side there were two groups who had clearly sneaked onto the course (Sharing only a few clubs, inappropriate clothing, screaming, general antisocial behaviour), so management and policing really should be stepped up.

Positive experience: paying for booking on arrival is very swift all the necessary Covid protection is up to spec so within a short time you are on the first tee and ready to enjoy a nice game of golf on a well maintained course, Hatchford Brook is doing a fine job in the difficult times we are in.I hope to use this facility again in the near future, I believe they have more to offer when everything clears, so there is much to look forward to.

Negative experience: The staff at Hatchford Brrook are excellent,which is more than can be said for the joke of a booking system. You can't book for 9 holes through the website,as it is only geared up for people wanting to play 18 holes, which means a phone call (only to be told that you are 18th in the queue). Should you decide to hold on when you do finally get through and actually speak to a person I am afraid that I have little confidence that they understand their own systems. The word shambolic springs to mind. What a way to run a business. I chose to die trying to book nine holes of golf at HB as the transition between life and death will go unnoticed.

Positive experience: Lovely day course was in decent condition although the greens were in need of a watering as they were like putting on a glass table.

Positive experience: Joined the gym recently and found it perfect for my needs not a flashy place and a couple of machines need servicing but overall all you need to get fit

Negative experience: My rating is based purely on the booking process. I very nearly gave up and booked somewhere else.

Positive experience: Nice flat course with a mix of most hazards except a lake! But some small water hazard. Would have been 5 stars except for how busy it was although that may be because of the current situation re covid.

Negative experience: I was stopped from going on my morning run around the edge of the golf course this morning by the Pilsbury Dough Boy that works on reception. Just leaving a review to let you guys know I've ran on that golf course for 10 years and will continue to run on the golf course every single day. If you don't like it come and catch me <3

Positive experience: The course was in fairly good condition and the price is reasonable when most of the others are trying to rip you off. The only bad experience is the slow play and sometimes quite deliberate and 3 and 4 ball not letting any pairs through which is bad manners

Negative experience: Poor course, no sand in bunkers, poor greens, expensive considering you can get 18 holes up the road cheaper and play on a better course.

Positive experience: Great little course near Birmingham Airport for members or pay to play. It has a good selection of holes and which are not to difficult or technical. For that reason it's a great course for beginners or mid to high handicappers. The greens are ok but could do with some TLC.

Negative experience: Phone number does not work as of 24/06/2020. Spent 30 minutes on the phone waiting to get through the queue, after which the phone started ringing without an answer. Please fix this.
