Fantastic experience: Excellent.Decent gym equipment,spacious changing areas with good lockers.Staff seem friendly and helpful,reasonably priced. Only down side I can see is pool can often be off limits as is hired out to local swim clubs.Other than that Great!

Fantastic experience: Great value for the monthly payment! Sauna is worth it on its own. The gym is well equipped and plenty of classes should you want them

Fantastic experience: Visit the venue several times a week as a member. Staff are great can't fault the gym, thanks.

Positive experience: Pool is clean and so are the changing rooms but the pool is far too cold for babies!

Negative experience: I Came to the gym this morning the radio is lacking any motivational music if I wanted to sleep I’d listen to radio one at home. The bins are overflowing the staff member is too busy talking to someone they know. Where is Ian when we need him ? He is a credit to the place and wouldn’t have us listening to music that is relaxing us more than making us upbeat and ready to work out… To say I’m disappointed is an understatement.

Negative experience: As basic as can be. The little one only lasted half hour in the pool before having blue lips & upon jumping into the adult pool... Well she almost had heart failure it was so cold. OK for adult swimming if you like the colder temps of the pools but wouldn't bother for kids unless you want a quick dip.

Positive experience: The staff were friendly.

Positive experience: Steam room finally reopened, not happy with the cleaning of the health suite every hour, if you turn up late for your booking they still kick you out to clean

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible, every time I go with my family or friends we never enjoy! Today, two female lifeguards were making fun of our swimming they were laughing, pointing and whispering over the walkie-talkie, and telling us we were bad and slow swimmers and that we couldn’t go in the lanes to swim! The place has great food, showers and pools, but honestly it’s hard to have a good time

Fantastic experience: The choice of classes are fantastic I do four a week & the instructors are excellent. The only down side is a new building lot's of niggles that sometimes get classes cancelled. But other than that fantastic.

Positive experience: Already signed up with Celtic gym, mainly at Aberafan. Called in here as a one off due to finishing work in Neath. Signed in on the front desk, poor guy was slightly understaffed - Wasn't able to have anyone show us around briefly on the new health suite. We used the gym but it was very little air conditioning and very busy there. Lots if equipment but it was uncomfortable. No parking either at this gym, unlike others so could only stay parked for 1 hour.

Positive experience: A sign on the outside saying it's a leisure centre would help, the Health suite needs somewhere to put your towels and a water fountain

Positive experience: Good facilities! Great range of machines and not too busy

Negative experience: Dirty gyms with little equipment. Smelly and gross. Tie you into a contract where you have to pay for another month even though you’ve cancelled! Don’t bother!

Positive experience: Gym, pool and health suite are great. Not too busy. Reception is incredibly slow to book in.

Negative experience: Went here for the first time with my partner who has a membership from Aberavon we booked the health suite but arrived earlier for a bite to eat Saturday 8/4/23. We sat at a table with menus out saying food served daily, ti then go a put an order in and be told that they do not do food at weekends? The health suite itself the sauna and steam room were great but the jacuzzi is still very small with the space they had to build, there is no towel hooks so cannot take one in with you, only three loungers which are not heated and no water fountain in the health suite it’s as bright as daylight in there no mood lighting. Absolutely nothing for the kids there the cafe area is bland and boring the whole place is very clinical All in all a pretty shoddy experience considering it’s a brand new multi million pound complex I was going to join but I don’t think I will after this experience

Fantastic experience: We like this new leisure centre. The kids pool feels safe and big enough to not feel crammed next to others. Lifeguards at both large and small pools. The large pool goes quite deep and is great for lane swimming and a section for other family swimming at the general swim time.

Negative experience: This is by far with out a doubt the worst gym I have ever trained in and I have trained in a lot of gyms, the equipment is cheap, missing many important machines, everything is always being used so must wait around, it’s in all honesty a terrible gym after all this money being put into it I would choose the old gym any day

Positive experience: Gym is okay but if you’re planning to join this gym to have access to the pool, don’t bother. The pool times are only suitable if you don’t work. I’m only able to go swimming once a week on a Sunday due to the timetable.

Positive experience: I take my wheelchair bound customer here to swim and to use the gym. The staff are friendly polite and helpful.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 would recommend after building everything from new. I have been in Health suite with nice new sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, 2 big swimming polls and a new gym upstairs. Everything is new and nice.

Positive experience: Visited the new pool today with my 5 year old and 1 year old. Lovely new facilities with lovely big lockers for storing all the families belongings. The learner pool is a nice size but nothing to really entertain our 5 year old. And after about 20 mins our 1 year old was shivering. We found there is quite a cold breeze blowing around the pool so that didn't help. Overall it is a lovely pool with great facilities which we will probably visit again but not with our youngest as it was too cold for him.

Positive experience: I went swimming today to the new leisure centre in neath and I did enjoy lovely pool,but mixed changing rooms!!!!!! I was not comfortable and I am not a prude by any means it just didn't sit right with me stripping off to dry and I have a gentleman nextdoor doing the same.what about kids I'm not saying people are pervs but there are some about as we are told regularly. upupup.tupsure if IL go back

Negative experience: First and last time we’ll visit the cafe at the new leisure centre. The woman serving gave us tea instead of the coffee we ordered. When told of her mistake, she proceeded to argue that we were wrong. Even accusing my elderly mother of not speaking out sooner when she saw her making tea! As she had her back to her, how would she have seen what she was making? Instead of rectifying her mistake, she kept on arguing with both of us so we asked for our money back. She went off in a strop and her colleague came and refunded us!

Positive experience: Great place, lots of people using it. I'm giving only 3 stars for a 1 simple reason. The new leisure centre will not have squash courts what means around 50 players from around area will have to travel far distance to play the sport they like. Shame.

Positive experience: My disabled friend has a swim session once a week. The facilities are good, but a little tired. The new leisure centre is due to open in the autumn. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and clean facilities. Bit random had to buy a padlock for the lockers as most are coin operated, but everything I needed was available.

Negative experience: Shambles. I took my 3 daughters (15,3,1) swimming and they was quick enough to take my money but as we was entering the babies pool I was approached by a lifeguard and was told we cannot go in as I was the only adult. My 15 year old was helping her 3 year old sister whom both can swim and I was holding my 1 year old but was asked to leave. I made sure I had a full refund and also I believe this is discrimination against single parents who want to have fun with there own children. How can you keep your children fit, happy and healthy with this ridiculous rule of 1 adult to one child. Obviously wouldn't take my children swimming if I didn't think I could look after them.

Fantastic experience: I can only speak about the swimming pool but we visit every week, place is always clean, staff are friendly and helpful. 3 pools of various depths for children of different heights with the main pool.being divided for Lane swimming. Fully recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great pool, squash courts, sauna, gym, weights room and tennis courts just outside. Something for everyone with classes in the pool, parties, inflatables etc

Fantastic experience: Lovely staff, great early morning swimming sessions with friendly folk attending. Showers a bit slow and weak for someone like me with lots of hair to wash, but still does the job, hairdryers available too, which means I can swim and get to work dry and ready to go.

Fantastic experience: Very enjoyable time there. Had a great swim although you do need to look at the timetables for quiet times. Friendly staff there too, always helpful.

Fantastic experience: I swim there regularly, it is an amazing pool,they have followed all covid rules and there are plenty of hand sanitizers. It's worth the 5 star rating

Fantastic experience: First time back since March. Staff have done a brilliant job getting everything ready. New signs, one way systems, equipment moved etc. with Steve (centre manager) explaining everything outside before we went in. It will take a few days to get used to the new system, but it works, and I get to train in an environment I'm happy in.

Fantastic experience: I use this place regular for the gym, swim, steam room and jacuzzi , there is also a sauna there for those who like the dry heat , always pretty clean in all fairness the lifeguards do there job in a professional manner and are approachable if needed , the gym is immculcate there's only one watt bike but time it right and you'll catch it free, every time I have been there I haven't had to wait , there are outher bikes there but I haven't really had to use them , all the equipment is in very good condition and again the staff are always around and available to answer any questions , great gym all in all,

Positive experience: Couldn't believe it school holidays-waited until 11 o: clock for the small pool to open.. having told my grandchildren they could play under the 'mushroom fountain' only to be told that the fountain wouldn't be going because of health and safety regulations!!!! Really?? I was supervising my grandchildren at all times. I don't think I will be taking them again. Hopefully the new planned leisure centre will be child friendly and safe
