Negative experience: Do not bother with this gym. They will tell you you can cancel at any time, but if you do that’s not the right way, the communication between their office and the sites is not accurate. And they ignore emails that I have sent them way in advance, but will be adding fees for no reason or make you pay for any service that you don’t use. Robbing off for no reason!

Negative experience: Won’t stop calling me asking for feedback , leave me alone

Fantastic experience: I just want to thank all the staff that helped me today. Was here for a dance competition unfortunately had a car accident on the way. The staff were amazing let me park in the car park while I waited for recovery. Helped me unload the stuff from my car and put it in the office until the dance comp ended. Then helped me load my friends car with all my stuff.Honestly what a lovely people. I just want to say thank you so much your kindness goes such a long way.

Negative experience: The most horrible experience We went today at 18:30 for a public swim with my one-year-old daughter, besides the fact that everywhere smells like urine, the water in the pool was extremely cold, somewhere around 15 degrees , when I called the manager he told me that the water is absolutely normal, so it made me feel stupid, that water was never 32 degrees celsius as recommended Shame

Negative experience: Reviewing Saturday night Rollerskating session only… It is overcrowded. I thought it was dangerous, with small kids, understandably unaware, moving in random directions and flinging themselves into the path of oncoming skaters. It would help hugely if there was an adults-only session to lower the numbers in the hall and vastly increase the adults enjoyment and the safety of the kids.

Fantastic experience: What a great group of lovelies. Visiting my sister in the area she insisted i join her this morning doing her Aqua Aerobics. After all my recent health problems i was very sceptical, how daft was i, firstly everyone is so friendly(good fun) and Izzie Pilkington the instructor was super, very inclusive and I'm told hugely knowledgeable, i needn't have fretted i had a super time and am feeling particularly good and deserving of the breakfast that awaited me once back home! 5*

Positive experience: I have been attending this gym for some time now it is time for an opinion Before the new year, the equipment was replaced by quite good, although a few machines are missing It has become very crowded, but probably soon there will be fewer people Generally nice gym, good equipment, swimming pool included in the price of the pass are so many positive things Now the downsides First of all paid parking considering other locations in other towns and even bamboos where there are free parking lots!!!! It is possible to send somehow to compensate this cost for users. Swimming pool sauna jacuzzi rather need a dirty refresh probably have many many years jacuzzi very often break down One more thing in the gym is very poor music The speakers do not work a bit of a shame I hope the manager of this place will respond to these allegations

Negative experience: If I could give it less than 1 star I would. Since the refurbishment all machines are crammed and the squat racks are just terrible. The place is so crammed that you can smell other people's sweat on you, let alone the health and safety issue that persists with these new squat racks and for this they have the cheek to now charge you £41. Avoid at all costs.

Negative experience: I like the gym but the Smart Parking system is awful. They fine you if you overstay for 2 minutes (most car parks gives a 5 mins flexibility)! I decided to cancel my membership after receiving a fine even though I parked the car for 57 mins out of the 60 paid.

Positive experience: Dining area to sit was a right mess. Looked like a kids party had a tornado in there. No staff even thought best sort it either. Changing rooms are okish if only need get changed for swimming but showers seems cold aswell

Positive experience: This is the best leisure centre in Banbury. It has a swimming pool for swimming, a hall for halling and several separate rooms for rooming. I particularly enjoy the scenic views of Lidl

Positive experience: Great facilities, use weekly for lane swimming, however parking is always painful since it’s always full, a multi level car park would be a great improvement, also please consider upgrading the hair dryers since they only accept 20p and the tills are cashless so no chance to swap a pound to use them.

Negative experience: I paid for 2 hrs parking and got 1hr 16mins, if I had not noticed I would have been fined. I arrived 2.44 and chose 2 hrs but it started the clock at 2pm and ended at 4pm without the option to extend.

Negative experience: Wanted to sign up with them but after 20+ calls and no answer on any of the options, I give up

Negative experience: A real shame that Spice Ball Leisure Centre have chosen Smart Parking to manage their parking area. A £100 parking bill for being a matter of minutes late leaving isn't justifiable.

Positive experience: From the pluses I will mention a nice gym, lots of sports opportunities and a nice atmosphere. on the downside, quite a lot of dirty places, especially in the jacuzzi sauna and around the pool, the jacuzzi must be renovated, the tiles are ugly, moldy look like it was in a hospital

Positive experience: Not the best of the facilities but yeah - its a council one and its a good standard. All kids going to swim club get unlimited free swimming too.

Positive experience: Great facilities, great staff who try to keep the place organised clean and tidy. My children love their swimmimg lessons and we love all the teachers who are so committed and effective in their teaching. There are lots of larger lockers too which always helps when gyming or swimming with the family or friends. Excellent access for all abilities and great deals on memberships too.

Negative experience: Sadly my experience is not great. The staff were always helpful & pleasant. The areas mostly were clean. However the groups are big and when they only have 30 minutes it means your child gets hardly any actual tuition. Not only this but out of 5 weeks I received no less than 4 parking tickets despite paying every time & having evidence. I’m now being taken To court. I spoke to Spiceball who totally disregarded it as it’s an outside company that do it. Whilst I knew this, it is their customers & their car park. The former I really didn’t feel they were bothered about. I tried to get my money back & a bit of support but and I quote ‘there’s nothing they can do’. Overall a really poor experience leading to the cancellation of lessons. If you do go make sure you walk there as parking is a total scam which I’m sorry but Spiceball know everything about so are clearly in on it

Positive experience: Play area for children. Lovely woodland and canal running through the park

Negative experience: I would avoid. Leisure Centre is good but the parking terms and conditions are likely to catch many people out resulting in a parking charge (£100) which was my experience despite paying in good faith.

Positive experience: One of the better, mor modern of leisure centres in the area. And cheaper too. Car park is always full hence the four stars

Fantastic experience: My partner and I went with our 2 kids for the Atlantis splash. Absolutely fantastic. Time slot is just enough as it's exhausting and you're not waiting around for your next turn. I'm pretty sure it's for teenagers but us adults had fun too highly recommended and we can't wait to go again!!

Negative experience: If you get a parking ticket here, DO NOT PAY IT. Do not admit who was driving either. The car park operator does not adhere to the standards set out by the British Parking Association (which they are required to), and the tickets they send out are not worth the paper they are printed on because they do not comply with the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. If you appeal based on these facts, you will win even if you were in the wrong. My wife's parking ticket here was cancelled by POPLA. Do not be scared by their intimidation tactics. Plenty of information available on this on the Money Saving Expert forums & others. In our case, the the theives that run the car park were trying to charge a breastfeeding mother £100 for an overstay of 10 minutes and 51 seconds. The BPA regulations require a grace period of at least 10 minutes, and the time is calculated from the moment you drive on site, NOT from when you pay (as you would think). Seeing as they have already invested in ANPR technology, it would be easy for the car park operator to implement a pay on exit system to avoid such confusion, however that would obviously mean they can't chase innocent people for £100 fines. Despicably, the owners of the leisure centre were unwilling to get the charge cancelled for us despite being made aware of the circumstances. They say they 'can't' cancel 'fines' any more. What a load of rubbish, the charges issued by the car park operator are not fines, they are notning more than threatening invoices. Clearly the leisure centre are in on the scam. AVOID!

Negative experience: By far the WORST gym ever. Has nothing outstanding that you can’t find at another gym. The exercising mattresses are only a few and need to wait around to be able to use one. On top of that, you need to pay for the parking. WHAT gym charges for their parking? I paid the subscription monthly £43 and then ended up with £200 fee as I had no idea that I need to pay for the parking. When I started the contract, that was not mentioned and it would’ve been useful to know. Wish I never contracted with them and can’t wait for my contract to finish at the end of May and never to go there again.

Fantastic experience: We really like the public swimming with my family.

Positive experience: A well priced leisure facility. It needs a bit of maintenance here and there. The pool side can be very slippery. The badminton court lighting is OK but could be better. All in all though it's good.

Negative experience: Visited to look specifically at the gym. After being ignored at reception by one of the women overweight and eventually the other receptionist who was serving another person spoke to us and was very helpful. After viewing the gym found it not to have enough varied machines and being a sports centre a bit overcrowded so decided against joining.

Positive experience: Dirty and smelly changing room, always plany of water because of the badly designed jacuzzi and shower rooms

Negative experience: AVOID - If you make any mistake whatsoever with parking you will be hit with an inescapable fine of £60-100. If you're using the leisure centre on a regular basis, this is inevitable sooner or later! Why is an essential public/council service using such a greedy absolutist authority to manage the carpark?

Positive experience: Another regular to Spiceball for swimming lessons, great teaching staff and friendly staff in general. They have added a large inflatable that's available some days at the weekend

Positive experience: I only used the gym. Good points. Lots of free equipment, clean tidy, staff are helpful, people are friendly, has a sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room, free machine to measures muscle mass, fat, and water. Nit picking (Bad points) sauna and steam room is a little small, too much chlorine in the jacuzzi and the Calistenics equipment is not suitable for doing tricks. Great value for money cheaper or better then alternatives

Fantastic experience: Was at Spiceball this evening using the Health Suite when the key to my locker broke in two. I contacted reception the manager Zac came immediately with master key so I could tranfere my clothes to another locker.He also fixed the jacuzzi that was troublesome. Good customer service and looking forward to my next visit to the centre.

Fantastic experience: I love coming here. The personal trainer Tom is FANTASTIC. Honestly if you ever need someone to support you then crack on with him. He’s experienced and knows his business when it comes to fitness. I also like Darren I’m the gym. Friendly and welcoming at all times. Can I just also say JANE who cleans (brown hair and glasses) she doesn’t realise how valuable she is and that’s a shame. Those toilets and flooring are cleaned constantly by her and she clearly does the best job every time. It’s not the people at the top who matter. It’s the people who run the ship and without her making it look clean and tidy people wouldn’t go to the gym or swim. Sometimes I feel as if I should have shares here because I’m here all the time. I love what I’m trying to achieve with my fitness. Better parking would be a plus and the lockers are not great, the changing rooms when used after a sauna are dangerous when wet but alas it’s only small things. Nice one spice ball.

Negative experience: Baby pool very cold, showers too hot and floor is so slippery. Not awful but would definitely go elsewhere.

Positive experience: Pleasantly surprised at my last visit. In previous visits for years the pool and area has been arctic temperatures but this time both pool and area was warm and comfortable. 1 out of 4 lockers tried worked which was a pain but the changing area was reasonably clean this time. Not sure whether things have been improved which I sincerely hope or if this was a lucky September visit with residue warmth. My last visit I had paid for an exercise class which was fun not with a live instructor but on a video screen that kept going wrong so again I hope that things have improved. I haven’t tried a class since but my kids love the roller disco run there each week. My son also goes to the gym there which is expensive for teens but well run. Improvements can still be made but overall it seems like an effort is being made to make the centre more usable and appealing.

Negative experience: Best used at nights, or its very overcrowded. I've been coming here for a few months now and tbh I've recently found the staff really not very welcoming. I've just left from a swim sesh were 2 attendants directed the hose directly under my changing cubicle to drench my feet. This held for a while until I left and when I looked at them they legit just stared. And then I heard them ask each other 'is it empty now?' Like, yes, it is empty now you literally tried to hose out someone getting changed after their swimming session that was meant to last an hour! It's largely teenagers who prob need a bit more training, but I feel like because they know you're signed into a year long contract they don't have to treat you well. Which is a shame, Ithink a lot of people treat the place how they get treated because I've noticed it getting untidier too.

Positive experience: The climbing was great fun for the kids, the crazy golf too difficult for kids and me, bowling was good.

Fantastic experience: Went to this gym for a one off session with a friend when I was visiting a friend in the Cotswold's. Lovely indoor pool and well equipped gym.

Positive experience: Great choice of activities and facilities, the main downside is that a lot of the lockers dont work properly, this needs fixing.

Negative experience: If you want a decent swim session don’t bother trying here. Lanes can’t cope with 6 let alone 24! Discarded plasters not cleaned up. Glad I didn’t get a membership. Not coming back. If I could give zero stars I would.

Fantastic experience: I've been learning my grandson to swim here for the last couple of months at first i had to keep him afloat lol. Now he swims from end to end and dives in the deep end . He loves it .

Fantastic experience: Whatever happens in life, I always end up back at Spiceball. My second family and always so full of variety and options. It doesn't matter how fit and healthy you are, there's always something available to try I wrote the above years ago and this evening I've just stepped foot back after a few years away for personal reasons. It was like going home.

Positive experience: Visited this leisure centre as we were bringing our daughter for swimming lessons. Staff are friendly and welcoming, facilities are good and well looked after. Reasonably priced. The only downfalls are that the areas are a little bit confusing to get to and the seating area for the snacks and drinks are a bit small on a crowded day, other than that, highly recommended to take your children or go swimming etc for an adult.

Fantastic experience: It has a swimming pool and you can go upstairs to do their fantastic gym where you can lift from 2kg to 40kg. I really do think that anyone who's like to do leisure activities can do anything they would like there. It also helps me do a whole lot more and keeps me in shape.
