Fantastic experience: Always loved going here (unfortunately) a few years ago, the pool and facilities are like a private club and meeting place - nothing better than a quick swim in off peak times...

Fantastic experience: Excellent place

Negative experience: Inside is dirty especially towards the evening as i think they only clean it after closing. The staff is mostly ignorant with exeptions. Make sure to definitely not go there with your children as there are always grown men openly changing naked in the changing area. There should at least be cabins for them to change and/or family changing area.

Negative experience: If I could give this place minus zero I stars I would. They lied to me today on the phone I asked if I could have a one month membership and was told yes and it was £50, so I turns up to join for it suddenly to be cancelled after. Unprofessional time wasters. It really peed me off today this did. There is also no access code to the pool if you are in a wheelchair or have difficulty walking up lots of steps which I think is unacceptable discrimination in his day and age. They have lost a CUS stormer in me now because I went out and got my own pool.

Negative experience: Absolute ridiculous bring my freinds to train and I got rejected after being there for months tryna bring new members after paying for one day they didn’t wanna let them both in willing to pay and be members after and the very rude women being disrespectful no reason don’t come to this gym let’s get it closed down

Positive experience: Could be a lot better with their selection of the gym equipment as feel this lets the club down . I have previously been a member of JD and Ultraflex and joined the Oasis in December as it is a local business and I don’t have to drive. I believe the changing rooms and pool area has been refurbished recently and I think by improving on the gym equipment that would make this place a lot more enjoyable & also likely to entice many new members. Plenty of cardio machines if that’s your thing and although they are older they don’t need an update on those .

Positive experience: Men’s changing rooms are disgusting. Most lockers in the bottom have dust in. Toilets aren’t clean. Showers are like something from prison. However the actually spa facilities are good so if they fixed the mens rooms then would be 5 stars

Negative experience: There is so many things you can improve. First of all - sauna’s; no PROPER rules how to use it, people coming in with wet swim suits, flip-flops on, not using towels on wooden benches, plastic bottles on the floor and dust everywhere. If you want sauna experience, don’t bother coming. Swimming pool clean, lockers with CODE-Lock system, hairdryers working properly, free and easy parking on top of the building, toilets disgusting, gym a bit oldish. £15 one time entry SUANA’s 0/5 POOL 4/5 GYM 2/5

Positive experience: The club itself looks good the pool looked on the small side didn’t get the warmest of receptions from the lady on reception hence we didn’t join and carried on looking and fortunately we found one where we were made more welcome

Positive experience: Paid for the week as I'm here for 4 days, good job the pool and sauna, steam room etc are half decent because the gym isn't really up yo much. Benches and machines seriously need updated and need a good clean, used blue paper towels strewn all over the place, couldn't train properly listening to Absolute radio, ended up just using the pool. Mens changing rooms need a good clean, toilets stunk. Glad I'm only using it for 3 days, seriously overpriced for what it is. Wouldn't recommend it but I need to train.

Fantastic experience: Bought a day pass and went for saunas and jacuzzi, pool and whirl pool. Great place to relax. It was nice and clean.

Positive experience: Cons. A bit expensive, most of the TV inputs on the gym equipment not working after reporting several times! Men stairs from the swimming pool to be finished (the sides) Pros Up to date gym Plenty of activities, good swimming pool, sauna, steam and jacuzzi, improvements around the pool are being made (non slip flooring)

Negative experience: Moving on to another gym. Disgusted by the way staff handled my situation. Paid 2 weeks extra to change my direct debit date only for them not to process it and then I had to pay earlier which has left me out of pocket. Fed up with the place as it was as machines aren’t the best, some not working and seats ripped. The stairs going down to the gym are bowed and uneven. That really needs looking at. At first glance I thought this was going to be fab especially with the pool but the covers around the jacuzzi are constantly coming out leaving sharp edges and the lockers in the changing rooms are dated with keys getting stuck in them. Some of the staff have been lovely but that’s been a rarity for me. The gym is too oppressive, so dark. It really needs brightening up, It made me feel miserable.

Positive experience: Not cheap, tired interior, but offers quite a lot: classes and swimming pool.

Positive experience: Good range of equipment including aquatic stuff (sauna and swimming pool etc). Only downside is shower facilities need updating

Positive experience: Place was very basic, looked outdated and being charged £15 for a day pass I think is ridiculous. Receptionist was rude and could do with conflict resolution training. 3* for the sauna and steam room and the good chats with the members by the pool and the lad at reception.

Negative experience: Went to have a look to join. I was waiting 30 mins, not as I remember years ago and walking down to the gym. All you could smell was rancid oil, what the food hall was cooking in no recommendations at all

Negative experience: This place is overpriced. No way is it worth the money I payed for a month here. Equipment is average, facilities aren’t great and the receptionist was rude to me. The only positive I can take is there’s a bowling alley above the Oasis Health Club.

Negative experience: As a health club the facilities have a lot of potential, but there’s just no maintenance. I visited the gym on a day pass recently and some areas are much worse than others. The mens changing area is poor with damage to the ceilings, barely any useable lockers and a really shabby and flooded shower area, not to mention, it smells. The gym area is generally pretty good, however it has recently flooded and re opened and smells badly of damp. With a lot of the gym still cornered off, due to damage I’d assume. It is a shame as it’s ideal for locals to have somewhere close where they can go, and it does have an exclusive/ private feeling to it. However given the state it is in, in areas you would expect to be kept clean etc, I can’t see how you could justify the cost when compared to places such as bannatyne. Staff were nice and friendly, however I don’t see that people should have to mention these things as complaints, they should be very obvious to staff and pertain to general hygiene and cleanliness.

Negative experience: Alright ish gym, has potential to be a great gym if sorted out a lil. Some of the machines bit on the loose side, weights don’t get put away by other users (maybe some signs?) or have someone on duty to ensure gym etiquette. Sauna/steam rooms could do with cleaning more regularly. Especially the saunas, woods pretty dirty and dusty. Maybe use less chlorine in pool, especially jacuzzi as it burns the eyes/skin. Lots of room, lots of potential just not being maintained to say how many people use it. UPDATE. Was disappointed to see them allowing a 6 Monte old baby to use the hot jacuzzi today. They usually tell under 16s off for using the sauna etc. This is troubling. Accident waiting to happen. Why does no one monitor the pool area???!!!

Positive experience: Changed this review from a bad one from a year ago to a good one as I’ve rejoined after hearing of the renovations especially to the locker rooms and pool sauna area. Gym still needs slight equipment upgrade in areas I.e pec Dec that allows for reverse delt flys. Maybe more intermittent cleaning in changing rooms every hour especially at peak time, as no one wants to get dried and clean and then go out to muddy tiles. Apart from that lots of improvement, glad of giving it another go and it’s most certainly worth the competitive pricing.

Fantastic experience: Really good gym, the staff are all lovely and really helpful, it's absolutely huge so there's plenty of room and plenty of equipment for everyone to use. I've never struggled to get on the equipment I wanted to use and I've never had someone smack bang at the side of me either. There are quiter areas that don't tend tend get as many people in and a women's only area which I love! The pool is brilliant, also had sauna, jacuzzi etc. Haven't tried the cafe yet but the tables are always full and it smells amazing whenever I go past! Women's changing room is clean and huge, plenty of showers, lockers etc. The only thing to note is that the lockers use the old round pound coin or an old trolley key pound but they do sell these for £1 at reception should you need one

Fantastic experience: I don't understand the comments that people make about the pool are need refurb etc, to me, it looks like a proper pool and spa. The facilities are just incredible, the steam room when it is in full swing is so warm and the menthol scent does wonders. The sauna is super hot and the hot tub is just amazing, it is bigger than others I have used before and still super warm and bubbly. The mirror on the ceiling is an added bonus if you want to look at yourself floating around in the tub! The pool itself is nice as well with the what I call a cold tub, bubbles inside the main pool is very relaxing after being in the sauna or steam room. The gym itself is absolutely massive. One of the biggest I have seen. There is a plethora of options to choose from and lots of the same thing too so even if it is busy(which I have not seen it be) I can still get on the machine you'd like to use. The price is the normal price of a gym membership but with the spa included as well is so wonderful. The classes are included in the price which there is a huge variety of. I am yet to try the classes. There is also an option for a workout plan to he curated which I have also not tried but when I get back into the swing of things, I will try. The staff are friendly and helpful and it is a short walk away from our house so we get in a little cardio before starting. What a perfect way to end off a gym session by treating your tired muscles to some intense relaxation. I don't currently have any negatives to this health club!

Negative experience: Possibly needs a major refurbishment. Sides of the pool very slippy indeed. I've never seen a cleaner doing anything around the pool. Mats at poolside look dirty. Lights in the pool flick on and off need replacing. Chlorine level massively high, meaning sore eyes and a cough after swimming.

Positive experience: I only go for the pool and spa facilities on pay as you go, but the gym seems well equipped too. The pool is a little small, and the jacuzzi bit in the pool stings your eyes with the amount of chlorine in it Other than that it's not bad, staff friendly.

Fantastic experience: Wow... Great place this and so so much value for money... my only negative for this place is that I don't live close enough to it...!!

Negative experience: The cleanliness of the swimming pool areas and of the male changing room and also the state of lockers has continuously declined for the last 4 months, even though we have advised their reception staff about it numerous times. That has actually made me to cancel my membership.

Negative experience: The new receptionists is very rude and condescending, put the phone down on me twice because I had a different opinion to hers and she said she did not have time to listen to me. Also it's beyond me how they think they can still charge the full £34.50 when there is now less than half the facilities on offer, Pandemic or no pandemic! No sauna, steam room or Jacuzzi? Plus this place requires some much needed refurbishment around the pool side and men's changing room and showers. Yet again another place that has lost touch with the saying "The customer IS ALWAYS right"

Negative experience: Rude & unhelpful staff. When we called yesterday regarding our specific enquiry we were told incorrect information. When we turned up today the receptionist was very rude and abrupt and didn’t once seek to understand or care about what we wanted, which was to help our 4yr old son who is petrified of the swimming pool in the Oasis. I am appalled by the poor level of service we received.

Fantastic experience: Our local gym, great value for money, whether you wish to train in gym, lift weights, cross train, row, swim or just to chill at end of the day in saunas, steam room or jacuzzi bliss.

Fantastic experience: Really good health club with all desired amenities. Changing rooms are dated but well maintained. Reception staff mostly welcoming. Gym instructors very knowledgable and always willing to help. Programme given by Ian gym instructor has really helped with my progress and required fitness improvements. Spinning class and circuit on a Tuesday evening very energetic with a good variety of music and very knowledgeable and motivating instructor. Some older equipment but functional gym area a real bonus.

Fantastic experience: I became a member in January. Can't really fault the place. The reception staff are so friendly and helpful. The gym training staff are wonderful. Will listen to your needs and give you a training program accordingly. The classes are really good range. The swimming pool and spa area are 5☆.
