Fantastic experience: I've been a member of anytime fitness for about 4 years now - starting because I travelled a lot for uni and the accessibility across the country was easier for me - and have been training consistently at the Orpington branch for over a year now. It's one of the better gyms I've been to! Staff are extremely friendly, helpful and always up for a laugh. And, members are equally as friendly. I honestly don't believe I have ever had a negative experience at this gym. Over my time training here, the only mark for improvement with this gym - and, its a very minor one - would be the need for more equipment/ upgrades to existing equipment. But, the recent renovation to the free weights area + the introduction of new machines are proof that the management have been working hard at making these changes too! The upgrade to the free-weight section has made the gym so even more enjoyable to train in than it already was. The gym is clearly run by people who care and, in my experience, are always there to help when needed

Negative experience: Went for a show around and to ask about a free session and then got convinced into getting a membership for the year while it was on deal. Have tried to leave with no luck as I only joined for the dance class. Was promised some new classes would come and that I would get a free 1 to 1 with a trainer and it never happened either. I wish I had taken a 1 month membership so I could have tried it out instead of 12 months.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym, with kind staff, and good facilities. I always enjoy my workouts and have never left feeling disappointed. The only point of improvement is that the gym could do with a better arrangement, to give the staff members a separate office space, as the current welcome desk is a bit cramped. Finally, a special thank you goes to Chris for being so welcoming and always having a smile on his face.

Negative experience: I regret to say that my experience with Anytime Fitness, Orpington has been quite disappointing. Despite my efforts to communicate my situation, I've encountered persistent issues with the handling of my membership. I initially requested a pause in my membership due to studying abroad, only to find that monthly deductions continued unabated, contrary to what was communicated by the sales team. Despite multiple attempts to rectify the situation, including providing documentation of my educational commitments, the process of cancellation has been needlessly prolonged. This lack of transparency and delay in addressing customer concerns reflect poorly on the integrity of the establishment. As a paying member, I expected better communication and prompt resolution of issues. I hope that Anytime Fitness Orpington will take steps to improve their membership handling processes and prioritize transparent communication with their customers in the future. As a result of this ordeal, I cannot recommend Anytime Fitness and would suggest exploring alternatives like Pure Gym, where friends have had positive experiences.

Positive experience: You can get a good workout here as a normal gym goer. Dumbell up to 50kg from what I saw, could be heavier dB but not sure. Standard gym equipments. Reasonably clean at my time E of visit.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of AF Orpington for over a couple of months, and I absolutely love it. The gym is clean, well-equipped, and has a friendly and supportive atmosphere. The staff are always happy to help, and I really appreciate the help I get from the coaches. They are knowledgeable and experienced coaches who are passionate about helping their clients achieve their fitness goals. I highly recommend the gym to anyone looking for a great gym experience.

Fantastic experience: AF gym is a fantastic facility in my area. Very clean, with all modern fitness equipments that are easy to use. The staff team are warm and caring towards all their guests. It is a place to be.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym for 2 years. It’s very clean, has lots of good equipment, and has friendly staff. It’s a little smaller than I would like, but if you visit off peak, you can get your workout done really quickly.

Fantastic experience: I really like this gym - I’ve also fed back with equipment requests before and they’ve purchased it. The staff are friendly and helpful. I still have a great experience going during ‘peak hours’ which would likely be stressful and chaotic in other gyms.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this gym to train for 7 years, and there is a good reason for it! Friendly staff always happy to assist with any questions. Nice family like atmosphere, would not change it for the world!

Negative experience: Unfortunately the gym has really gone downhill since new management. Despite alot of staff it doesnt appear they do much. The "personal trainers" also look like they could do with a workout or 2 before training others. Equipment outdated and definitely needs some tlc. Much better gyms in orpington and around the area. Don't waste your money here

Fantastic experience: Such an awesome local gym with all the facilities you need! Free weights, pin-loaded machines, cardio, deadlifting platform, plus functional fitness area and separate studio. I’ve been coming here for years and not only are the staff super helpful and friendly there’s also a great member community too!

Negative experience: They continue to illegally spam me even after politely asking to be removed from mailing list three times.

Negative experience: Much better gyms in the area in terms of facilities and at a better cost. Patronising Manager called Alex obsessed with ensuring people can't leave their contract signed pro-covid with no tangible negotiation. Clearly he's following the company directive but the lack of empathy is definitely a poor strategy to keep customers for the long term.

Fantastic experience: Meets my own needs. Air conditioned and excellent facilities throughout the gym. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I have been a member for over 5 years and the equipment provided is excellent. The 24/7 opening hours gives me the flexibility that I desire.

Negative experience: Disappointing lack of communication from multiple staff members regarding my membership. I have tried since December 2019 to move my membership abroad as I’m no longer in the UK. Despite COVID-19 restrictions on training (most gyms are freezing memberships and fees), and me not being in the country, this club has still charged me my monthly fee, placing my account into overdraft. And they have now informed me there is nothing they can do until the virus is over. A huge shame because whilst I trained here I adored this gym. The office staff are incredibly unhelpful and kept trying to refer me to someone else to sort this out. Still waiting.

Fantastic experience: I've now been a member for quite a few months and I must say that the refurb has been amazing! so much cleaner and brighter! The staff have also been great! The training and advice I have been given to achieve my goals has been superb and enables me to climb mount Snowdon in the worst conditions without injury! Lastly I just have to say that the best thing I like about this gym is that I can use it when I work in London or abroad when I went to Madrid. Definitely will be recommending my girlfriends joining this gym and doing our own virtual exercise class!

Negative experience: Be forewarned before signing up for this facility. We signed up the contract for our son and he did not like the gym at all. The membership offers 14 day free cancellation and we asked for cancellation within a week. The management has pulled a fine print clause that if you attend even one session after sign up, six month contract has to be honored. None of this was clarfied at time of joining. No one picks up the calls and when we wnet to gym itself, they said they had other meetings. Very unhelpful management. Please ensure to read contract thoroughly because they dont let you change your mind even after one session.

Negative experience: I have tried many times to call this gym but nobody answers the phone. I have also sent them an email message and nobody has got back to me. Do they have any staff there? This message is from Susan Parker a member of this gym. I have left 3 ansaphone messages , but nobody has returned my call. VERY FRUSTRATING

Negative experience: I want to share my frustration and disappointment from the staff and the management in this branch. After changing my home address, along with the complications with the birth of my child, which led to inability to exercise for at least an year, I obviously needed to terminate my membership. It was a nightmare! After numerous conversations with the staff over the phone, explaining the situation, I was assured that the matter will be discussed with the management and will be dealt with. It wasn’t. Me and my partner went to the facility so we can discuss things personally, but no one from the management was there, not one time... After that the story is just ridiculous-endless text messages, emails to the manager, absolute lack of communication and all this went on for months. Finally the membership is cancelled, but I am still indignant for my wasted time and money, not to mention the unprofessional attitude. This is not the way you should treat your clients.

Positive experience: Staff are sweet and caring the one problem i have is the toilet side of this. So i went on a free 7 day trial and i went to te loo on the second day and thats when i smelt something bad coming from shower and so after that i didnt use the rest of the week up.

Fantastic experience: I phoned them as had a diversion with my 273 (not my fault) paid £4 for their birthday promotion- rising to £35.99 on the 1st of May, then 1st of the month there afterwards To be honest, found the gym a bit overwhelming, but Olga and people put my through the rules and regulations So gonna do the classes and cardio, til my personal trainer on thursday 6am x

Positive experience: Really good gym! Always so clean and staff are always welcoming and friendly. PT sessions are also great :) it's quite small for a gym but with the space there is it's a great gym :) not too busy either unlike others in orpington that I feel are much more busy than this! Can always get on machines and there are plenty of classes too :) would definitely recommend!
