Positive experience: TechnoGym equipment, all in good working order and well laid out. Too hot in the gym, windows were open so couldn't benefit from the Aircon. Simple booking system. I haven't used the pool since renovation of the changing rooms and was pleasantly surprised.

Fantastic experience: I'm very impressed with Leisure East Devon (LED), which was established to promote health in East Devon, as a non profit. This particular LED was chosen for the pool, and an Improvers swimming lesson, which is included in the Full monthly membership. The teacher - Trudi - was amazing, and had me doing things that I find so difficult in the pool, and wasn't afraid to suggest I change groups to further improve my technique (it was the beginners). The pool itself was warm, clean, and had good changing facilities. The showers were strong, the lockers free (although you have to insert a returnable £1 to use) and the greeting from staff friendly. It was Easter break for the kids, and although there were some in the pool it wasn't overrun by the little cherubs. I must say, trying to find the building wasn't easy, and attempting to exit by car was unclear, but this was unconnected with LED Honiton. Best use a Sat Nav to arrive and depart. Parking was free and abundant. I've only been a member of LED for about 5 weeks after a referral from my GP, and my "home" LED is Seaton, but everyone bar none has been incredibly helpful, engaging and friendly. I love it!

Fantastic experience: Friendly service, kind and responsive customer service when queries are made. Swimming coach Kevin is fantastic- wish we’d met him years ago! Congratulations to all front desk and training staff for maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere.

Negative experience: Amateur hosting of gymnastics tournament compared to others like Yate and twice the entry price at £10 pp with poor layout of viewing area and no visible sight of scores and leaderboards.

Positive experience: Great classes and friendly staff. I really enjoy the Body Balance classes. Shame the showers are not cleaned properly.

Negative experience: Staff were too busy chatting to see to us so we were left waiting for a few minutes on entry, and they continued chatting whist we were being served. It wasn't until we were at the pool during the public swim that we were told there was a 2 hour swimming lesson in progress in the shallow end. So we had to hold our toddler for the duration of the swim instead of letting her walk in the shallow end.

Positive experience: Went to aqua aerobics on the Monday as a way to keep me fit during pregnancy. Pool is lovely, instructor was great and the class did its job well, but very annoyingly the changing rooms are shut for refurbishment, and there was no warning about this when I booked the ticket. As a consequence you have to wait outside until the time of your class, and after you have to change under you towel at the side of the pool infront of male lifeguards which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Apparently the changing rooms won't reopen until January, but even then no guarantee. Hence why only 3 stars

Negative experience: Two hair dryers in swimming pool changing rooms don't work, been like this for months, one toilet out of order, lots of hair in the plug hole in shower, floor very dirty. Need money spent swimming pool side.

Negative experience: Had a fun day out with some friends but the staff were so rude telling us “im trying to sit here and relax” in my head i thought that isn’t your job to do that, could’ve asked nicely, had shaggy hair, bad attitude and threatened to kick us out, apart from that all was well!

I don't need lessons as I can swim but like a few of my friends who'd like to swim for relaxation etc you can't relax in a pool that your squashed into a lane whilst other lanes are being used. It seems all developments are gym orientated. It's put me off joining
