Wyldecrest Sports Country Club

Fantastic experience: The staff here are really lovely. We came for my birthday last Sunday and the staff were amazing, the food was delicious. Abbey and Leslie were incredible, thank you girls for making my birthday so special. I would not go anywhere else

Fantastic experience: Went there with friends for the first time to the quiz night. I haven't laughed so much in a long time! What an amazing venue, definately a hidden gem. A credit to the owners and staff. I will definately be returning.

Fantastic experience: Was travelling around with my loving misses Annette when we fancied a bite to eat, our friend who lives in the area recommended this place. Saw it from the outside and it looked amazing to say the least. Food was top quality, everything was piping hot and the staff where very friendly and helpful. Fantastic experience: Came over from Canada visiting relatives last week, luckily we came to england when the sun was out. Never been to the country club before and we enjoyed the weather on the patio outside the back of the club with cold beer and gorgeous food and I can say I recommend to anyone who visiting or lives near to stop by! The service at the country club is excellent and the staff are friendly, staff went above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable day out. Kudos to the the club

Positive experience: I went out with a group of friends for a few drinks had good time out and I will definitely go back! The food and drink was great and had a good time out enjoying the sun, also didn't know they had a gym at the country club so I will be signing up soon

Fantastic experience: We have been to the wyldecrest country club a few times now and had a great time, very nice atmosphere nice food and entertainment and friendly staff, looking forward to summer events this year as it also has lovely grounds so good for family's with young children.

Negative experience: Friendly staff and decent bar prices but a lack of events and others attending makes it difficult to recommend. This was so much better when it was the pegasus club and unfortunately the owners don't seem interested in making this work as a venue.

Positive experience: Lovely hall. It was clean, and a nice size, too. A bit expensive to hire though. (So I am told)

Fantastic experience: Organised a friend’s surprise 50th birthday party and can’t recommend the venue and staff highly enough. The food was very good and all staff were very helpful during the planning stages and on the night.

Positive experience: A little expensive for what it is but a nice venue

Negative experience: Poor Fireworks Display - Sat 4th Nov 2023 Missing the advertised facilities. No kids fun fair as previously advertised. 1 x disappointed child. No sign of the 2 x DJs advertised. They may have been there, within the club house, however entry was only limited to club members only. Something else that was not advertised to the general public. Very misleading. Display lasted just 20 mins from 8pm Gates opened at 4:30pm, with not much else to do on the mean time. Struggled to get the bonfire lit. Couldn’t even light the last display firework. Overall; not the best evening.

Fantastic experience: This was known as the PEG , obviously new owners, they have done really well so far,new menus , new staff , still trying to fix everything, but they have done loads already ... Good atmosphere, cheaper drinks , outdoors is enormous, football fields, i think 6 ? Bowling not open , Gym ,, bar ,new pool table , darts area ... Lounge with huge TV ... I'll add photos later ..

Positive experience: Went for carvery on Sunday a little disappointed this time as we had to wait for food to come from the kitchen.main meal finished and sat there waiting for the waitress to ask if we would like a dessert and nobody came so left.i hope it is better next time.

Positive experience: Formally subsedised by Coryton refinery when it was owned by Mobil Oil, it became independent some years ago. It has a members bar and a large function room with a bar and stage. There was a large sports field, fishing lake and tennis courts. A small indoor gym too. **Update**. The new owners. Wyldecrest have spent an awful lot if time and money on refurbishment. It is looking very smart. They are organising regular weekend entertainment there now.
