Fantastic experience: Stayed in the hotel and used the gym, really good equipment

Positive experience: Lovely place in a lovely setting but why is there no lift??!! It was raining hard and the ramp is a long way round. I found it difficult but anyone who had more severe disabilities would just have to go home

Positive experience: It's an excellent place. However one thing lets the place down very badly for people with disabilities. There are no lifts of any kind to go upstairs. Me and my friend struggled going up and back down.

Positive experience: Not cheap,but nothing is these days but very clean , good service well staffed

Fantastic experience: Thank all staff for the excellent venue, service and funeral buffet served. Food top quality. Everything was served on time, plenty of tea, coffee and the bar was open. Could't of choose a better place. Price excellent for the quality. Paid extra for chips and cakes well worth it.

Fantastic experience: We got married in the Horseshoe Suite on 24th August 2024, it was the best day of our lives! The venue itself is stunning and the outdoor grounds made for such a great atmosphere. The way they moved things around with the room for different parts of the day was brilliant, and we received many comments how beautiful it was! In regards to the staff, we dealt with Sophie from the start who made everything very simple and was always a call/email away for any questions. Abi then managed things from the week of the wedding and that's when you start to realised they have a team of staff behind them to make your day go smoothly. Abi was brilliant and put us at ease with any worries, so much so that on the day itself it felt like she was a guest of ours just wanting to enjoy the day with us! They also work well with any other suppliers to make sure everything comes together on the day. Thank you so much for everything, our day was everything we imagined and more!! Mr & Mrs Bond

Negative experience: Went to a wedding at this location. Bar ran out of draught beer very early. Closed the bar between the breakfast and the night reception so had to walk to best western for a drink. Didn’t open the bar for 30mins after the wedding, everybody had to stand around drinkless. Never known anything like it at a wedding

Positive experience: A nice gym with great facilities. Could do with a few more clips for barbells and a properly inforced weight re-racking policy. The racks for the weights aren't labelled so people do tend to just chuck the weights back whereever. Also, finding a pair of any dumbbells can be tricky as they are not in any order.

Positive experience: Drinks were very expensive, and the barstaff were all newbies and didn't have a clue what they were doing. For a wedding I think it was a bit of joke.

Fantastic experience: What a lovely place to host my 60th birthday at. The suite is beautifully furnished that I did not need to spend a lot on the deco. My guests were very happy. The staff were nice and helpful.

Positive experience: Went here for a 50th birthday, it was really quite nice and rustic in appearance. Not a fantastic selection of beers but just about enough to find something you could live with

Fantastic experience: I'm new to visiting the stables and I've seriously been missing out!! It's got great facilities and the staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. I'd recommend here all day long! They have so many different facilities to do, from swimming to yoga, they've something for everyone here and set in lovely grounds too. You won't be disappointed!

Negative experience: Good place but reducing the closing hours on Fri, sat and sun put me off as that’s the only time I can train.

Positive experience: It is the staff that makes this place stand out. The venues for parties are great (because Ibhad the chance to peek around when we got lost) we were invited for an 18th birthday party, and one of my god-daughter had an “emergency”, all the staff were so helpful and accommodating.. The only struggle I had was walking in the dark (from the reception to the 2min walk venue) on the cobblestones with a 3in heels on.

Fantastic experience: I organised a Charity Ball in the Hayloft Suite. On the month's running up to the event, Sophie from the Events Team was there to guide, advise and help me with anything I needed. The day before the event I went in to set up the room. Again Kensy and her team gave me all the help I needed, made some suggestions and plied me with coffee to keep me going. On the evening of the event, the food was superb! All the guests commented on how they enjoyed it! And the bar/waitress staff were great. All in all, brilliant service from all departments that made the event an amazing success and a lot of people (especially me!) very happy! Even when I went the next day to dismantle and collect my displays, the lovely cleaner appeared with coffee! What more could you ask for?? Certainly be using this venue again. Thank you Maria xx

Fantastic experience: Attended my Sons wedding this weekend. Found the stage to be very professional but not stuffy. They could not do enough for you or the bride and groom. The coordinator was attentive and very well organised. All round they made a great event into a better event.

Fantastic experience: My friends and I had a fabulous time today- we used the swimming pool, jacuzzis steam and sauna rooms. Its was a great day out and very relaxing. Afterwards we had the afternoon tea which was exceptional and very good value for money too. All homemade and cooked on site- definitely recommend this- we were very well looked after by Abigail and the team. Thankyou for a wonderful time and great service!

Fantastic experience: Really enjoy coming here compared to other gyms I've used in the past. this place is brilliant it's got everything gym, swimming pools , sauna, steam room, cold plunge pool and whirlpools.staff and members all friendly

Positive experience: Booked the offer for use of the spa and afternoon tea for two. Really enjoyed the spa facilities. Lovely warm water to swim in with a choice of two pools, saunas, steam room, plunge pool, jacuzzi and hot tubs. Great changing room with everything you need eg big lockers/cubicles spinner and hair dryers. Lovely and clean. Lovely friendly staff . Disappointed with the afternoon tea . One of the cakes was stodgy and couldn't eat the scone, funny inside like it had been frozen and was wet? I did tell the waitress who said she would pass info onto the chief, didn't get any feed back. It spoiled the whole experience and put me off booking a return visit.

Fantastic experience: We got married here on 10.06.2023. From the moment we chose the venue in July 2022 Sophie and her team have been helpful and nothing has been too much trouble, even with all the complicated dietary needs of the guests! Sophie kept us informed without being intrusive and was always available for even the smallest of questions. Kenzie as our Master of Ceremonies and her team on the day were brilliant, she knew exactly what we needed even before we did at times (notably handing me a cold glass of water when I arrived before the ceremony, very welcome on a very hot day!) and the team slipped in and served, moved tables and got things set up seamlessly without interrupting the flow of the day. The food was gorgeous and generous portions too. The venue was stunning and the perfect setting for our perfect day.

Positive experience: Beautiful wedding venue and stunning grounds. Beautifully decorated and structured. Although hard to find the entrance to the venue entrance to park not many signs and poorly lit. Had a barn like feel and lovely table settings

Negative experience: Tired venue and shambolic service

Positive experience: Was attending a Business Expo at The Stables. It looked extremely poorly attended and exhibitors seemed not too amused and were folding up after 1.30pm being an hour and a half earlier than planned! I don't think Stables was the right venue for this business event as it's rather a remote location. It needed to be more central.

Fantastic experience: We used the Stables as the venue for our Wedding. We received excellent service throughout the build up and planning to the day itself. We used the Horseshoe suite which was ideal for our 50 day time guests for the ceremony and Wedding breakfast. We then opened it up for the evening when another 30 guest joined us. The Staff were brilliant throughout and the food quality didn't disappoint us. Very good meal followed by Bacon and Sausage butty spread in the evening. Our wedding host, Makenzie, stood out. One of our guest fell ill and she handled the situation with professionalism and care, helping us to continue to enjoy our wedding. She also followed up with us to check on our guest. Very impressed with the venue and the team. High recommend

Fantastic experience: It was my first time here today. I have visited a few local gyms to see which would better suit me as i am disabled. The front of house staff where wonderful, took me on a full tour, answered every question and even printed me out a timetable. Looking forward to my first try here.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place. Extremely stunning and very fair prices. Me and my partner are due to get married here and the process has been so smooth. Nothing is too much trouble and if you ask for something they can’t do themselves, they try to make it happen for you to the best of their ability. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for a couple of years now and have always enjoyed my visits. There are 2 lovely swimming pools, one for lane swimming the other more casual neither of which are ever crowded. Showers and changing rooms are always clean. - even before the current restrictions.

Positive experience: Really big. Actually loved the heated pools and the large pool. The gym had enough equipment and the classes were amazing. Only downside is how expensive it is to be a member per month
