Negative experience: Life guards are like prison wardens if you jump in without doing a pencil an old fella that looks like phillip scofield gives you a ten minute rant and is just unpleasant. Full of old people that talk behind your back and are angry people. I went with my mate and nearly got assaulted by an old bint trying to over take me(she nearly crashed into me). Had more pleasant swimming in a puddle

Negative experience: After numerous attempts to try and resolve this at the centre I thought I would share a review of Royton Leisure Centre. Unfortunately the standards here have seriously started to slip. Showers are rarely cleaned and toilets are dirty, changing rooms are left all weekend without being checked. I've tried to speak to the centre manager on 6 occasions regarding the aircon in the spin room. On 5 occasions I've been ignored on the 6th tge centre manager was rude, arrogant and dismissive of my concerns.i was told its on and that's it. Such a shame as the other staff are great but can't do anything

Negative experience: Full of kids running around and hogging equipment which is usually "Out of order" for over a month, price is way too high and the refit just added a bunch of new treadmills and some RGB lights

Negative experience: Can never get on the classes as too full gym full of kids pouting on phones to the point can't use anything so left

Fantastic experience: Great experience. We only went to Royton because there were no public swimming at Oldham until next week and even then you had to book in advance. Whilst at Royton we realised that it was better in nearly every single way. I will be going to Royton to swim in future. OLC can do one now as far as I am concerned

Positive experience: Very disappointed that adult evening swimming was only available during Christmas school holidays. Apparently adult swimming in the evening in Oldham is only available in Saddleworth!!! This is due to children swimming lessons.

Negative experience: Great staff , potential to be a great gym apart from equipment breaking alot of the time and being out of order for long periods of time , also they did a refit which was nice but they have put less machines in and made a room which not alot of people use

Fantastic experience: Excellent staff. Dont miss the old baths at all!!!!! The boys love swimming and teen gym is perfect as you can book online. Very clean. Good processes throughout lockdowns. Vist couple of times a week and will continue to do so. Easy and free parking.
