Fantastic experience: I am writing this review after completing 2 months of my platinum membership at David Lloyds Coventry. I appreciate Skye’s helpfulness for diligently explaining me all the details of the club and for helping me with my membership purchase. Personal training from Harry Love gave me confidence to use gym equipment as he has provided me lots of encouragement and details about using the gym equipment with demonstrations. I enjoy swimming and using jacuzzi at the club, top notch, very clean.

Negative experience: Been with them nearly 15 years. Have moved area and requested to cancel my membership to which I was told I had to give 3 months notice. I asked for a copy of my contract and they have said they can't find it as it's too old but here's a recent one with recent terms. To make it worse with the 3 months notice it ends end of Jan but for January my fees are going up from £160 to £178. Absolute joke. No customer loyalty. I have used this gym 5 times a week for nearly 15 years and had breakfast and coffees most days so they have had more than enough money from me. Unfortunately this review is based on my experience as opossed to the staff who are great and do a great job. Disappointed.

Aaron took the time to understand my needs and recommended the perfect membership option that suited me. His professionalism made me feel valued and excited about my decision. Highly recommend his assistance to anyone considering joining David Lloyd!

Negative experience: Extremely disappointing visit at DL Coventry. I don’t think I have ever visited a club that is so out dated and dirty. The changing rooms are dirty and smelt, hair all over the floor and work surfaces , showers had mould on the walls, and were extremely unclean . I didn’t even venture into the toilets . The spa (if you could call it that) was not relaxing and so uninviting, this is meant to be a place to relax and rest, well I definitely could not as it was so dirty. Hand rails were loose leading into the outdoor hydro pool , and dirt scum all around the edges of the pool, the fake grass was soaking wet and again dirty, may I add the outdoor area looks nothing like the pictures they show on the website . The indoor hydro pool was not as dirty as outside but still not up to a level of acceptable standards , all the hand rails were covered in rust, the floor around the pool was so dirty with what only looked like ends of cigarettes all wet on the floor . Thank goodness I was wearing flip flops. I am a member at DL Rugby and wow what a difference between the two clubs. I was expecting the same high standards that you receive at Rugby but clearly the DL brand can not keep consistency throughout it clubs, which is a real shame and completely lets the whole DL brand down as a whole. DL Coventry is embarrassing to the brand and probably a health risk for those who visit, needless to say I shall not be returning. On a positive note the lady at reception was friendly but looked a little baffled when I said I was a member at DL rugby but came to Coventry to try, I can see why she now had that expression on her face. The best part of my visit was when I left the building.

Fantastic experience: Just join today the membership and Aaron was really friendly, polite and so professional. I also pay a membership for my sone. They have really nice area for the kidsa and swimming pools for them.

Positive experience: Keiran's Pub Quiz and Quest was great fun. He is also a great tennis coach for adults and kids alike. In terms of the club itself, it is outdated and not cleaned sufficiently, particularly in regards to the changing rooms and toilets. Artificial "air fresheners" are used to cover up bad odors which are not conducive to good health. Membership is also costly but it has been worth it to have access to the tennis courts and coaches; all of whom work very hard to provide consistently engaging lessons. The club room is a pleasant place to spend time with friends or family, the food is also good and reasonably priced. Reception staff are friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: Good luck if you want to use this for gym purposes. 1 machine for each thing and a thousand people sat on them checking their phones. Sauna and steam that never works and a car park with no security so of your car gets broken into, oh well

Negative experience: Not enough gym equipment. The clubroom never serve hot food seems to be closed early. The price of food and drinks is a rip off even if you can get some. Changing rooms need revamping Same as the pool. New sauna is far to bright and the outside part by the jacuzzi is filth no one has ever cleaned that. No outside swimming pool. Reception seems a little rude and very slow too. DL birmingham the staff are really friendly. DL ultimately is a monopoly and this is why they get away with over crowding the place standards are low. Dubai you would never find a bad gym here every gym is bad . Come on England sort it out. The only thing not dump in England. Is nature anything they have actually made within the last 25 years is abysmal
