Mold Leisure Centre

Fantastic experience: This is a really good leisure centre plenty of thing to do. Me and my son do taekwondo there on a Saturday, and the classes are great. Would recommend for people yo go and exercise, if it be swimming, working out in the gym or other activities. Great place.

Positive experience: Great staff who clearly enjoy what they do there. The pool is clean and gets the job done very well. The organisation is constantly tip-top. The gym however is very small with a minimal amount of equipment and often gets very busy. The dumbbells go up to a reasonable weight so there is something for everyone. But if you are looking for a body building gym, this is not the one. Looking to keep fit for a very reasonable price? look no further. A very wide range of classes and activities held by aura as well, which is fantastic for bringing the community together.

Fantastic experience: Mold Leisure Centre is a dual use sports hub located on the Alun High School campus. Its state of the art facilities include a swimming pool, gym, sports hall, outdoor pitches, and tennis courts. The centre offers swimming lessons and fitness classes. Areas of the leisure centre are also available to book for children's parties

Positive experience: Friendly staff, clean machines, good facilities

Positive experience: Facilities are adequate but it needs somewhere to get a light bite as it used to back in the day

Negative experience: Hire the football pitches and have to ask every week if we can have the lights on. Goals are shocking

Fantastic experience: First visit to the leisure centre. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool and changing facilities are old but well maintained and kept clean. As a holiday maker nearby, I can only say that I wish I’d tried out the pool sooner (and that the staff at my local were as good as the staff here!) Thanks for being so welcoming!

Negative experience: Changing rooms are as cold as Antarctica sometimes and you’re lucky if you get a parking space because the school kids steal them making it impossible for a lot of gym members to park to use the gym and the pool times are bad too for in the week

Fantastic experience: Been going for a few weeks now, staff a really helpful and friendly. Went there this week and left a pair of expensive ear buds in the changing room by accident while a group of Mold Alun students were there, they actually handed them over to reception for me collect. I can only commend these young people for their honesty and integrity. Thanks guys, so grateful.

Fantastic experience: Helen is a fantastic pilates instructor,however if she is unable to take the pilates class the instructor we had today is great. She made sure we were all warmed up,she was inclusive with everyone asked about limitations etc., and she visited each person directing and checking the moves,she also praised members she thought were doing especially well. Although there was no music I felt that this enabled us to hear her better. Helen has a voice that Carrie's well,whereas this lady was quieter so again moving around the class was beneficial to all. We completed short tasks that were counted down and at the end of class did a short cool down. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had an unexpected one to one swimming lesson with an instructor I'd not seen before steph My little girl is only 5 but was greated and talked to as an adult (not talked down to) all through the lesson she kept it engaging and fun the progress and confidence My daughter made in that one lesson alone was amazing. The pool is a good size but the shallower end is still 1meater deep with only a small set of steps entering the water that is normally on the colder side but nothing to bad once your in. The changing facilities are mixed with plenty of smaller changing rooms some are family size with there own showers ideal for wheel chairs. There are also lockers that take £1 coins, a metal trolley token also works.

Positive experience: Having gone to school at the Alyn school attached to the center and later working at the centre, and now going back after 40+ years away, nothing changed, even the same floors, and now closing the squash courts, a step backwards due to cash starved councils, and miss use of money by the council.
