Fantastic experience: Great place to train with a wide variety of equipment. The spa is amazing ‍♂️

Fantastic experience: Although some bad reviews this gym needs a lot of great credit. I’ve been training at energy mill for years now and never been in a greater place for community and high energy all round. No matter who you talk to or meet everyone’s welcoming and happy to chat and will give you the time of day no matter how (unwelcoming) some people may think it’s the complete opposite. Every gym has issues with equipment here or there too but it always gets resolved and fixed once something is mentioned. The team at the mill are great and amongst some of the friendliest staff we’ve met who always want to stop and chat to anyone and everyone around the gym.

Negative experience: Used to be a good gym, but staff allows gangs of lads screaming on the top of their lungs, swearing and cursing, literally slamming weight into the ground, purposefully while yelling on the top of their lungs. Absolutely no respect for others space. Mind you, this occurs in public areas, the main sections of the gym, not a room where they won't bother other people. Doesn't feel very welcome or safe.

Negative experience: I have been trying to get in contact with the gym for weeks with no success. I have called and emailed on many occasions with no response and no follow up. No consideration for their customers. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: Great gym

Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to a gym for 20+ years, so going back to training felt a little intimidating now I’m older, flabby and a little self conscious. My daughter forced my hand though, she wanted to find a better gym to go to but didn’t want to go alone, so we joined Energy Mill and I can honestly say I love it. Staff are really helpful and friendly, lots of equipment, nice little ladies area, great atmosphere, clean and tidy and lots of classes to choose from. There’s nothing intimidating about this place at all. A very well run gym and a great community to be part of. I’m so glad we found this place and really enjoying being back in training mode.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a lot of gyms in the Bradford area and Energy Mill is by far the best. My partner and I came for the first time not knowing anyone and we were treated like old friends by the woman behind the counter who helped us with memberships. It’s a friendly and welcoming gym and from the first week it genuinely feels more like a community. It’s extremely clean, every time my partner and I go, we see staff cleaning/wiping floors and handrails, vacuum cleaning and generally keeping things tidy. Happy to have finally found this gym after 6+ years in the area.

Negative experience: Haters why would someone hate lol . When there's plenty of other gyms . They ain't got no respect I got a day pass for the first time and all.u hear is the staff swearing ain't got manners at all disgusting learn some.respect first I who wants to hear that . Lol especially the first day coming . I hate the gym the women Is.vile . And I waited at reception for 25 minutes. They women who works there erghhh lol there attitude stinks like them I rang up to ask for the monthly plan turned around and said are you for real of course b.itch I am haha smelly mouth

Fantastic experience: I've been away for a while, I came back yesterday, I did a class first day back, I did enjoy the class but wow my body was in bits, mush have had a really good workout, I can HIGHLEY RECOMMEND Maxx (think the Name was Maxx) who did the class, I would like to do more classes. I used to weigh a MESSIVE 160KG and Now I Have come down to 93kg. Thank You ALL at Energy Mills Gym

Negative experience: Lots of weight equipment, only one stepper and rower and the formers been broken for quite a bit. Put up membership fees without communicating. Have put in place a new gate system but rarely anyone in reception to even sort out access. Musics often far to loud and can hear it through my headphones. rarely any tissue for cleaning down machines. Ceilings often leaking.

Negative experience: I went in to buy a day pass as I wanted to try the gym and potentially move there, the lady who greeted me told me I can have a free trail and a tour of the gym so I happily agreed and she told me to write my details down and she would go to get something for a minute and would come back to show me around, I was then left at reception for 30 minutes alone and the lady never returned it got to a point even gym goers were asking me if I needed help with anything as they’ve noticed me stood alone for a while.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting service. When you want to cancel, make sure you have a digital receipt of indeed doing so as they will send debt collectors to your house for unpaid fees DESPITE ALREADY CANCELLING WITH THEM. Reception are happy to cancel your membership and assure you everything will be sorted, only for them to send you a random email informing you there is an unpaid fee and they will be sending people round to collect, like seriously? Awful, applying business practice far behind any gym and be previously signed up to, I strongly do not recommend and encourage you avoiding this absolute pathetic excuse of a fitness centre.

Negative experience: Staff are horrific, willingly will humiliate you in the gym. Do not sign a contract with this gym. Scammers and bully’s.

Positive experience: It's a shame customers have had to wait over a year for changing rooms and they are still not in good working order. Showers are mostly not working and water is freezing, should be closed till issue is fixed. Very hit and miss. Update 28th Feb. The gym stinks of poo upstairs and downstairs. There is a ceiling leak downstairs in the middle of the workout area. Floor is wet in a number of places. The smell is unbearable. Embarrassing and pathetic these problems still persist after an alleged 200k refurb.

Positive experience: Nice and quiet gym with all the equipment and weights you can ask for. 3 floors and showers recently refurbished. However, cleanliness is non existent and the machinery is very old and if something breaks down, it takes months to see it repaired. A slight upgrade and reupholstered equipment would make this a local gem as membership prices are quite reasonable

Fantastic experience: I've been a member here for years - I love the classes, the people and the staff ! Everyone is really friendly and it's always a great environment. Can't wait for the new and improved changing rooms and spa area and it will then be even better value for money :)

Positive experience: Great gym, go regularly, loads of equipment, lessons, instructors ect, staff are all friendly. Only downside is changing rooms have been out of commission a while and no A/C in summer

Fantastic experience: Been going here a few years now thought it's about time It got a review. Can't really say anything bad about this place. Staff are great, the equipment is decent enough and the prices are very good! Changing room/shower area being unavailable is a real shame but hopefully up and running again very soon.

Negative experience: I have to say I am surprised by the positive reviews of this gym. It would be interesting to know how many other gyms people have tried. Unless it used a good gym in the past, but I can't recommend this place unfortunately. The equipment is old and worn. The music is terrible and very loud (bad 90s dance music). The staff are rarely available. The one and only water dispenser doesn't work. The showers are badly kept. They've recently had a fire I believe and need to have the changing rooms renovated but this hasn't been done in months, so there is no where to get changed. Its overpriced compared to other local gyms. I therefore left the gym due to the above and have started going to a different local gym that is so much better for £3 less per month. I then received an email from energy mill saying I owe them £24 for not telling them I was cancelling my direct debit. But I did tell them and I haven't signed any contract concerning such terms. They haven't responded to any of my emails regarding this, but have stated they will pass it on to a debt collection agency if I don't pay. I hope this gym turns things around as I'm all for local business, but this gym is currently way behind the other gyms I've tried locally over the past few years. Not recommended whatsoever.

Fantastic experience: A really great gym. It might look small from the outside but don't let it fool you. There is so much room, filled with every bit of equipment you could possibly need. As someone who always dreaded going to the gym I've been so happy with Energy Mill Shipley. There is always staff around to help but are also happy to leave people to just crack on. All different types of people go so I've never felt out of place like I have at other gyms. If you're thinking of joining I can't recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: What too say about the gym, it's a love gym. I would definitely recommend anyone to join this gym, It's a very friendly atmosphere about the place that definitely comes from all the staff they are wonderful and hard working also willing to help you with anything that you need witch is getting very hard to find nowadays. So just give then a call and try it out for yourself. P.s the spin instructor on a Tuesday and Thursday is fantastic.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service they don’t know how to talk to customers. My friend went in ready for a workout and because of a payment problem which could have been resolved after they kicked him out with force. Disguisting behaviours from all of them. I hope it shuts down.

I would recommend this gym to anyone thinking of joining a gym, I’ve been a member of other local gyms and this one is by far the best.

Negative experience: 19.99 a month, I expected better equipment and a better quality of a gym, but there was always a bucket leaking with water, gym lockers smelled horrible and the majority of the machines were always out of order. The staff were very friendly but I wouldn't recommend it if you have anxiety or care about the quality of the gym. JD Gym charges 15 quid a month for much better equipment and lockers and a bigger gym as well as pure gym which is open 24/7. No this isn't fake and apart of some elaborate scheme from other gyms, I was there for over a year and hated it, calling a reviewer "fake" simply shows how bad your gym is and how horrible it is.

Negative experience: Misleading, as the pictures almost resemble nothing from the actual gym. Dirty and old. Mislead into stating there is no contract, yet, have a contract exit fee. Overpiced for the small, awful rooms and machines. Nothing good about this gym at all.

Negative experience: Avoid this gym!! After increasing their monthly fee with no warning (despite the contract clearly stating they would give 30 days notice), I cancelled my direct debit as there was no other clear way of cancelling my membership. I have now been contacted by a debt collector, which I challenged Energy Mill about only to receive the response that it is now my responsibility to contact the debt collecting agency myself as the matter is "out of their hands". They have breached their own contract and are now harassing me for money. If you're looking for a cheap gym, look elsewhere. The facilities are hardly fantastic (there are literally buckets laid about to collect water from the leaking ceiling), the equipment is dated and dirty and the staff are useless.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy attending this gym. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I've just started taking part in the classes after a shoulder injury and I really love Lynn's and Arrans classes. However, none of this would have been possible without treatment from Peredure Jenkins. I have seen many specialists over the last 18 months and nobody has had any impact on my injury, including Yorkshire clinic, except Peredure. So 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ just for him. I'm determined to try all the other classes now I'm on the mend and I'm sure they'll all be exceptional as well.

Fantastic experience: Very conveniently placed in the centre of Shipley town. It's not a fancy gym but it's not a basic one either. It's got more than sufficient equipment, facilities, classes and services. Not a 'top of the range' type of gym but great value for your money. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professionally helpful.

Positive experience: Plenty of space, large variety of classes, equipment, and friendly staff! My only issue is the changing rooms, or lack of, and it is a big one. A lot of the time I like to grab a work out at 6 am before work at 730. No showers or changing facilities reduces the time that I'd like to spend there due to time travelling back home. It's a real shame because I do love the gym! stars will return to 5 once changing rooms are back up and running.
