Harrow Gymnastics is a fun and inspiring club, offering a wide range of classes for children and adults in a newly refurbished, purpose-built facility in North West London. We provide a safe and encouraging environment for participants to experience the excitement and challenge of gymnastics at grassroots, through to elite competitive gymnastics at National and International level.
All our coaches are British Gymnastics qualified, many of whom are ex gymnasts who trained at the club and are still part of the team many years later.
Harrow Gymnastics is a registered charity and was founded in 1979, initially operating from the Harrow Leisure Centre. In 1989, it was clear that our gymnasts needed a bigger space and a better facility. With funds raised by the club itself and help from the Local Authority and the Sports Council, driven by a group of committed parents and trustees, work began on a purpose-built facility which was completed in 1991.
In 2020, we invested in a full refurbishment with brand new equipment and a new layout designed and supplied by Gymnova (Europe’s leading gymnastics apparatus manufacturer). This also included the installation of full air-conditioning, a new lighting and PA system, and upgrades to the communal areas – toilets, changing rooms, reception area, offices and gallery – ensuring the club is COVID-19 secure.
We offer classes for everybody and every ambition from the toddler motor development programs in Play Gym and Pre School to the pursuit of Olympic calibre competitors.
Harrow Gymnastics has a zero tolerance policy for abusive or argumentative behaviour of any kind to its staff. We reserve the right to refuse entry.
Our comment from FitFit UK about Harrow Gymnastics:
Harrow Gymnastics is a fantastic place for children to explore and develop their gymnastics skills in a vibrant and safe environment. Many parents have praised the gym for its friendly and engaging staff, with one user highlighting the exceptional dedication of the receptionist, Claudia, who provides individual attention to each child. The coaches are described as fantastic, knowledgeable, and committed to fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages confidence and learning.
Parents appreciate the excellent facilities and diverse range of activities available, catering to children from preschool to advanced classes. The gym also offers a spacious area perfect for play sessions and birthday parties, creating memorable experiences for kids. Reviews mention the quality of the equipment and the overall cleanliness of the facility, with many families thanking the center for the valuable skills their children have learned.
While the majority of experiences have been positive, some parents have mentioned areas for improvement, particularly concerning the teaching approach during classes, and occasional inconsistencies in customer service. However, the gym's welcoming environment and the enjoyment kids experience there generally outweigh these concerns.
Overall, Harrow Gymnastics is highly recommended for its fun activities, professional staff, and great value, making it a top choice for parents seeking a gymnastics program for their children.

Harrow Gymnastics: Opinions
Fantastic experience: My kid had a amazing time she loved the safe equipment and loving caring employees that work there but she said that’s sometimes they would just force you but anyway we had a amazing great experience
Fantastic experience: Receptionist is an absolute delight, my daughter is obsessed with Claudia! She takes time to concentrate on each child, she demonstrates each step and encourages them throughout class. The other instructors are also great and very friendly. My emails are always answered promptly, I never had to chase them for any questions I’ve had. 10/10
Fantastic experience: My daughter has been attending pre school sessions for almost a year now and loves her time here. She has learnt so much and her confidence has grown significantly. Coaches are fantastic with the kids and it’s a welcoming environment. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Great experience my daughter loved it the staff were helpful but could do even better:)
Fantastic experience: My son has been thoroughly enjoying advanced classes four times a week. The tuition throughout the ages is excellent, the equipment and floor/apparatus etc are all brilliantly setup. The staff are all engaged in everyone's development and create a great environment for excellence and progression. Couldn't wish for more.
Thank you John, so glad your son is enjoying it :)
Negative experience: They had good equipment but the teaching was not helpful. They would just tell you what to do but not actually show you how to do anything. This meant if you were afraid or simply unable to conduct the activity they had told you to you would just have to stand there. If you are looking for a place to train this may be the place for you but it is definitely not the place for you if you, like me, would like to be assisted through learning new skills.
Hi - we're sorry you didn't enjoy your experience with us. Please note that our sessions for teens require previous experience, which is clearly stated on our website.
Negative experience: Bad experience, too long waiting list and bad customer service!
We are disappointed to read your review. Whilst we have no control over the length of our waiting list, if you would like to give more details on how the experience and service you received were bad, we will happily investigate.
Fantastic experience: They have good setup and good place to enroll for if your kid is interested in Gymnastics. I would recommend to enroll in Harrow school of Gymnastics compared to school gymnastics paid session.
Fantastic experience: Great place for activity Great place for the birthday party party Kids love it ❤️
Negative experience: Took my daughter here for a couple years. Great facilities however the staff/coach she had was unhelpful and when I viewed from above a couple time during covid I could see the teacher talking to other staff members and not attentive or helping the kids at all..felt more like a playground rather than gymnastics if I'm honest.
Positive experience: Good facilities and spacious gym
Positive experience: Great gymnasium - I have taken my daughter to the play sessions a few times and she loves it!! I am not so impressed with the service from a member of staff. The man who is on duty for the play sessions during the summer appears to not enjoy his role. He is unfriendly and rude to both adults and the children. I am aware it is a gymnasium and while on duty he has to ensure children are safe however there is a difference between being firm and just being rude.
Fantastic experience: Great venue for parties with young kids who have lots of energy
Fantastic experience: Booked my daughter's 6th birthday here and it was so much fun! Kids had a blast! Party area located upstairs was great as there was a full kitchen for us to use. Staff was very polite and helpful. Would def hire again!
Positive experience: Ok
Fantastic experience: Cool gymnastic and friendly
Fantastic experience: Nice place
Fantastic experience: What a great place for kids to play! So bright, clean and so much for them to do. Lots of space to run around and use up energy! Toilets were lovely and clean, changing area well set out and a nice low number of children and adults. Value for money and great fun for kids.
Fantastic experience: My daughter attends the gymnastics class during the week and she loves it. Its clean, facilities are excellent, the teachers are good and each month students can achieve badges and certificates.
Fantastic experience: Thank you Great facility
Fantastic experience: My 10 years old son has been found there since he was 3. Can't fault it, amazing place.
Fantastic experience: I love it!
Fantastic experience: Great place for kids to run out their energy.
Fantastic experience: Perfect for your little ones . Great play space and service
Fantastic experience: I took my 2yr9month old, its a great place for kids to explore, should maybe have instructions for each apparatus but otherwise we had a good time there.
Fantastic experience: Harrow School of Gymnastic
Fantastic experience: My 3 girls have been going for years and love it
Fantastic experience: Plenty of parking and the visitors area looks down on the training area. Really very good and worth every pen y of the fee.
Fantastic experience: Great variety of activities for young kids
Fantastic experience: Great place to bring your children to have a play around without getting hurt
Fantastic experience: Great for kids they love coming here for play gym
Positive experience: Good exercise for kids
Positive experience: Great gymnastic club, nothing to compete in North London
Positive experience: We have been to several good birthday parties here (under 6's) the kids love running round and jumping on everything. They were bring your own food and drink. Loads of free parking (when we went. They seemed like quite large groups (I'd say around 30)
Fantastic experience: Went here for a 7 year olds birthday party... they loved it and staff actually join in!!! Staff lovely and a really active two hours guaranteed to please kids as well as adults.
Fantastic experience: They are doing great job
Positive experience: Great place for a party
Fantastic experience: Good for Gymnastics
Positive experience: My kids had their birthday party there which they loved. They start with playing games and then have free time to use all of the equipment. There’s a large floor space, small trampoline, some uneven bars and some vaults that land you in a foam pit. There is also one rope that goes up to the ceiling. There is always a queue for the rope. At one point they gather the kids up and the birthday children get to pick teams. You know when you were at school and someone always got picked last? Well it was like that. All the parents watching clearly felt uncomfortable watching, no doubt suffering flashbacks to their school days. If I had known that they were going to do that then I would have asked them not to. You then get time to eat and do cake before the next party starts. The place does get hot, in summer it is uncomfortable. It’s a great place for a party and good value.
Negative experience: We calling it smelly gymnastic as it is very smelly. A party from that the kids love it, plenty of place and a big range of activities. The place is a bit worn up but even me I have fun there. Free 3h parking is a plus as well.
Fantastic experience: Love it. Great coaches and equipment
Fantastic experience: Great!!!!!
Negative experience: Two of the teachers were rubbish and not understanding to my 3 year old not understanding instructions, they were impatient and didn’t even show the kids how to do the moves then got frustrated when they didn’t do it. Called up and told the reception and alls I got was “ok” wouldn’t recommend here. My friend sends her kids to north London gymnastics and apparently they are a lot better
Fantastic experience: My daughter loves it, she enjoyed it so much
Fantastic experience: Busy place. Lady on reception although ridiculously busy is extremely helpful and polite. Daughter participates in gymnastics - always lots of coaches at sessions - she loves it. Pricing per term is fair. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Negative experience: Okay, but crowded
Positive experience: Fun place, a bit outdated and dusty though. Could do with appropriate child music for playgym sessions.
Positive experience: Posh place
Fantastic experience: My daughter goes here and their so good with the kids. She loves it
Fantastic experience: Love the refurbishment. Staff are always amazing. The children love it here.
Negative experience: We were invited for a Birthday party and the party entertaining kids host was extremely rude. At one point he shouted from down to all the parents in party area to keep quiet. The venue policy is to allow only 2 bin bags, to throw in venue provided bins after the party, which wasn’t known to us and the host again shouted just because we threw an extra bag in bin. We told him that instead of shouting he could have requested us nicely as we didn’t know the rules, so he replied back again shouting at us that the information is all on the website. And, in the end when we told him that you’ve been a bad host we might never have a party again at Harrow School of Gymnastics, he rudely replied back that we have many other customers, so we don’t care!
We are disappointed to read this review. The booker was explicitly made aware of the policies and rules regarding parties. If you wish to discuss this further, please contact the directors whose details are available from reception. We hope your child / children enjoyed the party.
Negative experience: Host so rude to the kids b’day party guest and parents, started shouting. Will never bother organising b’day party there ever.
Fantastic experience: My little one has been there for many years now: started with play gym, then preschool gym, and now after school club. Great place with proper gymnastics equipments. After school session are very well organised in groups. Gymnastics is professionally taught there with the right amount of discipline, thoroughness and fun too. Coaches are all very professional, knowledgeable and they know how to deal with children. Staff is always very helpful albeit being very busy. We consider Gymnastics as a core element to children's development as it develops children's body awareness and body control. We lately had our daughter's birthday party there, everybody had a fantastic time. One of the coach organised some games for the kids, and looked after them for more than one hour. Great birthday venue. All the parents' friends of our daughter have been impressed by the party and are still talking about it a week later. We are lucky to have such great place near our house!!
Positive experience: Kids love it
Positive experience: Great place for kids party
Fantastic experience: You it is good man
Negative experience: It was our 3 year old sons first session and he was naturally a little scared of going to strangers and needed his mum or dad for some confidence. Unfortunately Harrow School of Gymnastics have a very strict policy of not allowing parents in the gym area; not even for one minute. I think this is very short sighted. What was worse is that the coaches made no effort to build any sort of rapport with our son so that he could gain confidence to participate in their class. As a result our son missed out. In contrast our son successfully enjoys crickettots and little kickers both of whom allowed parents to participate in the first class.
Fantastic experience: I love it so much and it has teached me skills I never thought I would be able to do before!!
Fantastic experience: Went here for soft-play with my daughter last week, and it was brilliant. £5 entry (think it's cheaper if you become a member) and they get to run around and enjoy the equipment from 10.45am to 12pm. The floors are all padded and bouncy, which makes you feel it's really safe for the kids. And as the gym is so big, it feels much less crowded than other play groups. Recommend.
Fantastic experience: the best
Fantastic experience: Went here for playgym. Equipment is safe and clean and a nice variety, staff are friendly and helpful.
Fantastic experience: really top level in every way
Positive experience: Cool and amazing
Fantastic experience: I'm going to sign up now
