Fantastic experience: Really good gym! Shame it’s closed down now!
Negative experience: They let me pay a joining fee last month and once joined told me the gym is closing next month but it's okay, they will move me to craigleith? I left the Village as I could walk to gym rather than take the car, craigleith is the last place I would attempt to get to at 6pm with the car! Should have been upfront when I was joining that that gym would only be open a couple of months

Fantastic experience: Great spacious Gym with a lot of equipment and decent locker rooms. Very clean and tidy

Fantastic experience: Good sized gym. Nice staff. Pretty clean. Everything you will need unless you're a pro body builder/strongman.

Fantastic experience: A truly great place that serves the purpose, and always 5 stars - but seriously; please fix the small things when they go wrong (e.g - gents bathroom door locks) and machines. Some of the equipment need better looking after; and serviced more frequently. Cheers!

Positive experience: Good wee gym bit intimidating for beginners who want to lift weights as there all in the one area would be nice if they where spread throughout the gym more so beginners can feel more comfortable using them!

Fantastic experience: Very engaging and nice staff. Also the gym is very well organised. I liked that each room has it's speacial purpose. Although music can use a bit oldies touch (constructive criticism which may be very subjective ).

Positive experience: Just joined. First time, found several children (maybe 13 years old or something) at the door trying to get in when I arrived, playing with the machines, getting in the way of the doors etc.

Positive experience: Good gym and quiet most of the times except for peak hours. The only reason holding it back from being 5 stars is the smaller size due to being split between 3 floors. This also makes trekking to the second floor changing room a chore on leg day.

Negative experience: Kids under age using someone's pin code to sign each other in and cause Havock every night after pure gym staff go home after their shift . Surely their must be a duty of care to your customers? This has to stop it is happening to often now so maybe you should have a member of staff on the nightshift to control the door and ensure customers can work out without feeling intimidated.

Fantastic experience: This is my local gym and I can't fault it. The staff are always willing to answer any questions and havw even shown me the best way to use the equipment as to not harm myself. This was all without asking. There's an amazing atmosphere. As someone who has struggled with body confidence issues, and still does to this day, the gym offers a warm, welcoming environment and not a judgemental environment like some other gyms. All equipment is cleaned regularly also. I'd say the only downside is, there needs to be more lockers.

Positive experience: Joined yesterday using the on-line facility which was easy, £16.95 with reduction if you have a blue light emergency services card. Download the app and it gives you a QRO code for easy entry through the futuristic entry pods. Bike stands outside but lock them well. Has a free weight area which unless you are The Rock is more than adequate. Another room with weight machines and cardio, and another room for classes not yet up and running. Good sanitiser stations and everyone was being respectful and cleaning after kit use. For the 7 months i am in Edinburgh for with work, this is perfect. This is a commercial gym chain and a bit souless but i would still reccommend.

Fantastic experience: Workout with view. If you get in on good time during the day gym can be completely empty.
Negative experience: Horrible equipment allocation, always crowded doesn’t matter what time you attend. Chest press machine upstairs it’s not well adjusted as it doesn’t allow full stretch.

Fantastic experience: It does exactly what you want,its got friendly staff,a good class timetable and is well maintained.
Positive experience: My first experience of PureGym and I'm impressed. This one is housed in what was intended to be an office building so it's set out over three floors and very spacious. All the staff I have met have been helpful and friendly. I go early morning so it's never that busy but the only downside is that the main showers don't open until 5am. You can still get a shower in one of the disabled rooms but there is no air conditioning in them so quite impossible to get dry.

Temperatures and air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. We always aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs and meet demand as it changes through the day, getting the balance right between weights and cardio. We have listened to member feedback in order to shape the layout of our gyms. Sometimes it is difficult to extend certain sections simply due to the location of some of the buildings we are in. If you have any specific suggestions regarding the temperature, equipment (e.g. boxing) or lay out of the gym please approach the gym manager or leave a note in the feedback box, which is regularly reviewed. It's great to hear you enjoy using the gym overall, but my apologies for any inconvenience caused by the layout of equipment which is in large part determined by the building itself. That said, we do always want to make it as easy as possible for members to make their way around the gym and find equipment. Positive experience: Like most gyms like this there isn't enough free weights. But then if you got more it would still be just as busy. Otherwise it's a nice little gym. It is normally quite quiet on the cardio machines of which there are plenty.

Positive experience: I haven’t been in but I usually go shopping at Morrison next of it. I can say it is at a lovely place where is close to beach and a wonderful view.
Fantastic experience: Great equipment and very helpful and friendly staff. Small point, it can get quite hot in some of the classes.

Temperatures and air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. If this is an ongoing issue I would advise approaching the gym manager directly, or leaving a note in the feedback box within the gym.
