Fantastic experience: Decently priced, All 3 pools are great. (Little kids pool, slightly deeper pool and a proper swimming pool.) Aswell as 2 rather fun slides. The jakuzie is a hit and miss as sometimes it can be quite cold and full of little children and other times it can be warm and pretty much empty (depends on time of day...) I go frequently and it is a great laugh with freinds and family. The prices are reasonable for childrens swimming passes, and you get 1 hour 30 minuets in the pools; there are open showers next to the pool for a quick rince off and cubical showers with male and female sections (same as a toilet.) The lockers are £1, so bring change, and you get your pound back when you put the key in your locker. There is also a fun fair park and kids soft play close by if you dont fancy going home quite yet. Location:8/10 Toilets/showers:8/10 Swimming pools:9/10 Staff:10/10 (if you be respectful they are respectful back) On my last visit, there were 2 girls that kept going down the blue slide together even though its a 1 person slide, due to this they were formaly told off by a member of male staff to which they replied with insults to him and parents whom were trying to get the girls to leave. The staff have a strict policy meaning they can not physically touch you in order to remove you from the pool and so the girls refused to leave. The member of staff then called for more staff and eventually the 2 girls left the pool but came back afterwards. As i was leaving the members of staff found them and tried once again to professionally deal with the situation, but there wasnt much they could do. Overall the staffs preformance in this situation gets a 20/10 from me

Fantastic experience: Great for all ages. The splash pool is great for little ones, and the 2 slides are great for older kids and adults! Pool and changing areas were clean. We visited on a Sunday. It was really busy! Will hopefully go back when it's quieter.

Positive experience: the gym is alright..it’s always busy and there are not that many machines. The staff are AWFUL so rude and unhelpful especially the woman with foreign accent. The fitness instructors are great though they’re very helpful. Café food is good and pool is very good aswell.

Fantastic experience: Amazing pool for my toddler. Lots of variety and I can’t get over how good value for money it is! Facilities were clean, overall well organised, can’t go wrong and would highly recommend for families with kids of most ages!

Negative experience: Nice little coffee shop and very reasonably priced. However a particular member of staff was abrupt (Sharon) and I’m told by my partner who goes regularly that this is always the case. Asked for a vanilla latte and was given sugar free option without being asked. So asked for normal vanilla which didn’t go down well. Got to my table after a long wait only to find there was no vanilla in it so ended up wasting the coffee in the end as couldn’t be bothered to queue back up.

Fantastic experience: Swimming is good but the gym is basic

Positive experience: The cafe takes ages to make a Costa coffee which is not unusual but the cue starts to build up while the rest of the order is taken & provided. This is not a negative as the ladies serving are polite & do a great job, I just wish that Costa who provide the coffee machines I assume would make them work faster,surely that is possible in this day and age?

Negative experience: Visited today with two of the grandchildren- busy but not too bad - no one at reception so no queues - had to wait for the two ladies on reception to finish their conversation with each other before being served - seemed to be plenty of staff milling around but only one person serving in the cafe - half hour queue to get a coffee and none of the tables being cleared - not sure whoever is managing this facility has their finger on the pulse! **update** 3pm - lunchtime rush now over - and they finally have two serving at the cafe albeit not many using it now!!! 1hr 45mins we have been sat here and a member of staff has just cleared the first of many table (nothing wiped down they are very sticky)

Positive experience: I’ve been going to haven point for 6 months. Here’s everything you need to know. I’m a 28y old male. Good points - Slides are great fun - Sauna and Steam room are really great to have - Pool is a great size for training. - Water refills - Exercises classes are good. - Value for money Improvements / Negatives - The gym is tiny, if you’re used to going to Pure Gym or The Gym, this isn’t a great replacement. There’s limited machines and only 2 benches for the dumbbell racks. Which often you have to wait for. If you only do cardio, then it’ll do the trick. - Opening times: Monday evenings you can’t use the main pool due to people training for triathlons. Wednesday it’s swimming club until 7:30pm. Pool and sauna shuts at 9pm, so you really have to go straight after supper. They should open a few lanes for normal swimmers and allow the use of the sauna/steam room on these days. Limiting swim times and facility usage, can be really frustrating. - Hot tub: shuts at 8pm and be prepared to share it with kids. It’s not the most relaxing environment. - Sauna: It gets very crowded in the evenings. Often you’ll have to wait for a space to go in. People are very friendly though and will often have conversations with you. - Pool: It’s cold, so be prepared.

Fantastic experience: Great fun, Staff really friendly and helpful. The slides were a great hit with both my kids. Pool appears clean, Showers could run a little longer and warmer. Hairdryers are a great free edition.

Negative experience: Didn’t get let it because of ages even they on the board said it was fine with that age, people at front desk were really rude because we’re are only “children”

Fantastic experience: Great swimming baths. Lots of changing rooms. The pools are separated. 1 main pool, 1 fun zone, and 1 baby pool. Showers aren't great the water isn't very powerful. They have hairdryers available free to use. A nice cafe and a gym attached although we didn't use either of these. Would definitely return.

Negative experience: Visited here with my son and his friends. The fire alarm went off half way through their time in the pool. There was no communication from staff about what was happening, what the situation with older unaccompanied kids in the pool was, or where they would be. I asked staff and was told they knew nothing! Then as quick as it all happened, everyone went back inside! Complete failure to communicate with people on every level - very distressed with how the situation was handled. Some serious staff training is needed here.....

Positive experience: Spent afternoon here with my grandchildren, they are aged 5 & 9 both spent most of the alloted time on the slides. Great facilities and plenty of different splash areas. Catered for all ages.

Positive experience: Nice place with the kids. Just under £20 for a family of 4, 2 big slides. Changing cubicles are typically tiny but that seems to be the same every where.

Fantastic experience: We go here almost every weekend with our 6yr old & 1yr old. It's ideal for all ages & abilities!

Negative experience: Not worth the money what so ever. One pool was closed for swimming lessons. Big pool had 4 lanes out of use. And everyone squashed in little pool. Still charge full price and no signs to say only a bit of the pool open. First and last time hear.

Fantastic experience: Really nice leisure pool, loved the slides although spiral stairs are not great for those with fear of heights. Nice jacuzzi and lots of staff on hand. Gets a bit busy but just because it's really good.

Negative experience: You get told off for doing almost anything other than swimming in the pool e.g tricks, jumping and diving in. You also get told off for going on the slide at the same time as someone else even if you don't know who the other person is. The queue for the reception is ridiculously long as well as the queue for the slide. This is because the receptionists are always really slow and there are only two slides. The bubble pool is colder than the pool next to it and people eat in the sauna. This is unsanitary. Not to mention that they don't have accurate times on Google. For example today, online it stated that it would open at 06:15 and close at 21:00 however when I arrived at 15:30 it was closed. It didn't even mention it on their website. Even though there were workers inside that saw me and other people waiting outside they chose to wait at least 7 minutes until they told us it was closed. Some of the café workers are kind.

Fantastic experience: What a surprise! Clean, lovely staff a warm pool and lots of fun for the children. I was really worried about being cold and in a grotty pool and changing room but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff also went above and beyond and were very friendly.

Negative experience: Swimming in school holidays is crazy. Far too many people allowed in at once. Not a pleasant experience

Fantastic experience: Excellent leisure centre. Really clean and friendly helpful staff. Busy at 9:30 on a Sunday morning but didn’t feel overcrowded. If I didn’t live over 100 miles away I’d be a regular visitor!

Positive experience: I have recently been going here to swim for fun. I like how there's the option of the swimmers pool, or the fun pool. Being slightly taller, I wish there was a deeper part in the fun pool which I could fully swim around in instead of having to use the other pool (which is sometimes unavailable as of swimming lessons). Maybe another slide in a different area would be fun as there is usually quite a queue for the 2 that are there. The other day the queue was half way down the spiral stairs. Luckily I was just passed half way in the queue but for people wanting to go on the slide, they'll have to wait a while. Especially if the sensor at the bottom of the slide doesn't catch that the person has gone past (often happens), then you have to wait for the timer to reach 39 seconds before the light changes to green which takes even longer. I like the bigger pool as there is a deep section to it and I don't have to crouch down to be fully submerged. Other than those points about the depth and slide, I really enjoy this place, it has great facilities and I am willing to come back to swim again!!

Great cafe with lovely staff and good value cakes/sandwiches etc which was really well stocked. They never ran out despite how busy it was due to swim gala spectators and half term leisure swimmers. Venue right by beach, fun fair, park and lake so loads to do here.

Negative experience: Visited for a swim session with family. Far too many people within leisure waters area. Wet dirty floors throughout changing areas make it difficult to get changed. Too few family changing rooms and benches to sit on in order to remove or put on outdoor footwear. Facilities too small for numbers visiting on a weekend.

Negative experience: The staff at the reception are are unfriendly on the verge of rude. If you ask a question its an inconvenience. The staff at the cafe are lovely. Customer service is free!!! Come on you are representing the local community you can do better I believe. People were eating fruit in the sauna today. This can't be hygienic.

Fantastic experience: Take my granddaughter here and she enjoys it. Three separate pools and two water slides provides enough to keep her entertained for an hour. Ample changing rooms and lockers that are kept clean. Plenty of lifeguards for safety and a decent sized car park.

Negative experience: Please be aware when you are in the changing rooms. My cousin was there with his young daughter, his daughter was in the cubicle with all his belongings and he was outside the cubicle. A member of staffed walked past and my cousins stuff went missing. No-one done anything until he said he was ringing the police. Then all of a sudden his stuff was in the lost property when it wasn’t there when he asked at 1st.. then soon as his daughter identified the lifeguard it suddenly appeared.. absolutely shocking behaviour form a member of staff

Negative experience: Saturday afternoon water aerobics for elderly meant big pool closed 3 30 till 4 30 pity this was not mentioned when we arrived would of thought this could of been arranged at a quieter time

Positive experience: One of the tattooed staff members is overly aggressive towards kids. Shouts at them for the most minor things like jumping in the water. He has ruined the swimming experience for multiple customers.

Positive experience: Clean throughout, Brilliant pool for Babies, toddlers and older kids, slides for toddlers and bigger slides for the older kids, splash buckets and spray machines, my 18 month old nephew absolutelylived this place (be aware on 1 side of the baby & toddler shallow end of pool there is only a 1 to 2 metre flat pool surround between edge of toddler pool which is a few inches deep to the Ed of the deep end of the kiddie pool which is 4.5 to 5ft deep so any curious toddlers can run from 1 to the other I seconds and literally step into deep waters) . The cafe is very cheap for snacks and drinks

Positive experience: Decent facilities and great staff in hand for advice and support. Havenpoint provides a wide variety of classes and opportunities suited for a wide variety of ages and fitness levels, so you don't ever need to feel left out. It would be nice if there was more space and up-to-date equipment to work with for the number of people who turn up, since a lot of the equipment has been there for multiple years. It's still great and provides a great environment to workout and take part in various leisurely activities like swimming and yoga. RECENT UPDATE: Put to 3 Stars as there is constant rotation of staff from other council ran gyms and the they are poor. Today, the staff member wearing the uniform from Hebburn on shift in the gym around early afternoon wasn't great. Constantly lazing around sitting on machines others want to use and constantly on his phone. There was also customers behind barricade he would ignore and forget about whilst having conversations with others. Sort the staff it out!

Fantastic experience: We love it here. It has 3 great pools, all different 1 for the little ones, 1 for medium-sized kids up to teenagers, and then the big pool that accommodates serious swimming. They also have a sauna and steam room, which you pay a little more for the use of it but a good bonus to your typical swimming baths. It's a great gym and has all you need for everyone. Cafe is good, and plenty of seating if your waiting for the kids.
