Fantastic experience: Lovely pool

Fantastic experience: Katy has been teaching our daughter to swim for a few months now. Before she started swimming lessons even bath times were a struggle. After her first lesson it was remarkable to see the change in her, she was so much more confident in the water. After a few lessons she was on her back, getting her hair wet and blowing bubbles on the surface of the water. She's just earned her Duckling 1 award. We couldn't recommend Katy enough as a swimming teacher for little ones. She has a great way with children, very patient and encouring. Our daughter really looks forward to her swimming lessons and bath times are now a breeze! In terms of the swimming pool itself, it's warm for small ones, clean and the changing facilities are good. The viewing gallery is great too, very close to the pool, so you can see progress and is reassuring for the children to see you're not far away.

Positive experience: Nice atmosphere, clean , and friendly staff. Only thing that I disagree with is its card or prepay only. A couple of youngsters came with cash, and the staff couldn't let them in. At a time when the government and health authorities are telling us kids need more exercise in their life, it should be easier for them to take part. How many kids have credit or bank cards. BRING BACK CASH

Negative experience: Useless! Never answer the phone so thought I’d pop in to find out the swimming timetable and there was a girl and man behind the desk… both chatting and I had to wait for them to stop before they acknowledged I was there and the response was it’s on the board! Rude and unhelpful! I’d say train ur staff on Reception to greet a customer and be friendly and polite! Really is Customer Don’t Care! I won’t be back!

Negative experience: Booked a family swim ,nearly everyone Lane swimming in the family area ,felt uncomfortable and left ,staff just starred into space, we will not be returning

Fantastic experience: Went into the pool today and was met by very friendly and approachable staff. Would like to name Adele and personally thank her for being so helpful and friendly.You are an asset to your team and I am looking forward to going back. (Your smile made my day). I'm half way through my Padi course and it has been excellent. Clean toilets, shower area and pool. And another good point is the deep and shallow end (which you don't get at many pools in Kent). Thank you again, and I hope to visit you again soon and bring someone else!

Fantastic experience: A good place for swimming because they allow other schools to participate in swimming sessions. And the water is very clean and warm.Very long pools. Great for people who want to be fast at swimming

Positive experience: Call up and ask if there’s a lane prior as it can be very busy.

Positive experience: Nice pool, used regularly for a bit but got fed up with the constant changes in the timetable, it always seems to be closed for kids swimming lessons even when the timetable/website reckons it shouldn’t be.

Fantastic experience: Always visit to use the gym, whilst daughter is swimming. Since the new refurb of the gym facility’s are fantastic. Staff are welcoming and accommodating.

Positive experience: Since the refurbishment it has been a pleasure to visit. I am still at a loss as to why there are no refreshments or even a vending machine so bring your own. The tall seats and tables are for the fit or younger folks but there are benches for the less athletic Parking can be at a premium but at a £1 for two hours it is worth it

Positive experience: The air is sometimes a bit cooler than I'd like- or the pool. It would be nice if one of them were a bit warmer! The staff are always friendly and the pool is never too busy. I go on a Tuesday.

Negative experience: Tried for days to get through by phone to book a swimming session, no one ever answers.

Positive experience: Staff seem mostly good. Pool is great. The toilets are disgusting. The gym is odd. Most of the machines are covered in rust.

Negative experience: The booking system is shocking! I've ended up calling and booking over the phone. Defeats the object of online booking surely. Very poor!

Fantastic experience: First time swimming for years. The staff are very well trained and helpful, l think that they're pleased to be back. It's necessary to call to book a lane - there are three double lanes, slow, medium and jaws - due to limited numbers of swimmers, 40 l believe. It was very clean, the water was warm and the showers were hot! I think it opens before 7a.m. There's a managed gym and a selection of drink dispensers and one can sit and relax before heading off. A positive experience and l hope to go 2 - 3 times a week. Can't upload pics as they're not allowed.

Positive experience: Went for the family swim session today numbers in pool restricted and still Covid measures in place to make it as safe as possible. Staff friendly and helpful you do have to pre book though so make sure you either call to book or download the active life app to book to avoid disappointment

Negative experience: Very tatty and dated, appeared filthy, floor slimy and dangerously slippery.. couldn't put my belongings away safely ( no keys) . Water in pool appeared clean.

Positive experience: It's a very good pool and its kept nice and clean. This pool is quite focused on lane swimming and lessons but also caters for kids with fun time on weekends and during the holidays as well!!!

After a number of attempts to book a swimming session my account was locked ......Sam sorted it immediately & I’ve enjoyed 2 wonderful sessions in the pool feeling very safe . Coralie was particularly friendly & helpful on the ‘phone too. Val

Positive experience: Great staff and great facilities. Would have been 5 stars if the ventilation/cooling system in the gym was half decent (not the staff's fault I hasten to add).

Fantastic experience: I have been in the bodybuilding game for over 35 years, and I've been to thousands of gyms in my time. I decided to give this gym a go and it completely blew me away with its resources, staff and breathtaking view of the swimming pool (especially during aquafit teehee). This is hands down and bottoms up the best gym i have ever had the pleasure of encountering. My gains have been plentiful since I started attending this gym, would recommend to everyone who likes older women strutting their stuff in the pool.

Fantastic experience: Clean and happy workers helpful

Fantastic experience: Love this swimming pool and the staff are friendly and helpful. The swimming lessons are great and the teachers are brilliant. Dale the manager of organising the lessons is always approachable and available to assist with anything. Every time I have gone in he always welcomes me and my daughter with a smile and asks her how her day is. I have witnessed everyone gets the same warm welcome from him. Another great thing about this pool is you are able to watch, observe the lesson on process. In addition as a member I am able to track my daughter's progress online . My only concern is that people with everyday shoes on can walk up to shower area and swimming pool area, I think that dirty is then being transferred to the pool area. Maybe this needs to be reviewed Where at Herons swimming pool in Herne Bay people are not allowed past a certain point with shoes on unless they have the shoe protection on.. little blue shoe cover on. I would recommend this swimming pool for general swimming and swimming lessons. ALSO for the friendly staff.
