Negative experience: Very poor service, l have tried to contact them on different occasions regarding my membership. I first made my first payment online and they said l should receive a code in my email if not, l should go to the upfront desk. There was no one answering calls and l emailed to cancel and they told me to pay another fee in order to cancel. Now l have been charged with loads of money from a service l did not even use once. Has anyone else experienced this?
Negative experience: I enquired about coming to look at the gym. They called and said to come at 8:30pm the next day, however there were no staff here. I came again the day after and the same thing. It seems like other people have had the same issues regarding staff based on other reviews. Definitely needs addressing.

Negative experience: No one ever picks up calls. Barely see any staffs when you need them. Booked on to a gym induction, got there this morning and no staff could be found…very disappointed

Positive experience: The only bad thing، the excess to the gym is very easy anyone can open the door and bring his friends with him, I’ve seen so many people doing this. And you can go out without your access card. It gets busy because of this reason. Otherwise the gym is clean, staff are lovely

Negative experience: Similar to other posts here, visited yesterday (Saturday 10:30am) during staffed hours but no staff was there. Initially couldnt gain access but a gym member let us in when he was leaving. Went inside - no staff member. I even called the number on the door - straight to voice mail. They advertise deals (like no sign up fee) which only could be accessed directly not online yet no staff member is there during regular hours. And if one is younger than 18 they will restrict access during staffed hours presumably because of safety reasons yet staff is unavailable during those hours.

Negative experience: Visited today at 1pm during staffed hours and couldn't gain access. No-one answered the door bell. Got in after a few mins when someone else was leaving and found a cleaner who went looking for "Emma" but eventually shrugged and left me to it. Doesn't seem to be staffed during the staffed hours. Did a workout. It's a small gym. Equipment is decent. It was nice a quiet weekday lunchtime during school holidays. Small lockers. Sadly no sauna or anything like that. Ok gym. Main issue was no staff so hard to access. Edit: i use GymPass - first visit - need staff present for access as you don't have door codes for gympass

Positive experience: A nice gym and a good environment to train in. 24 hour is great to have, but it can be a bit overcrowded between 5-8pm.

Negative experience: 95% of the music here is terrible. Please change it on a reasonable basis or at least add more music to the repetitive and annoying playlist. You can hear the same song twice during the same workout, and it appears to be the most cheap music they could possibly get hold of. Only one squat rack and very small size means you'll often struggle to get what you need, which I wouldn't mind if Snap wasn't charging full gym prices. Worst of all, my friend quit this gym, went through the proper process of cancelling (in person, with a staff member) and was still getting charged for months afterwards. He moved to another country so can't get a refund for the several month's worth of membership he was charged for. This is completely unacceptable, and I'll be extremely careful when cancelling my membership upon moving cities. Overall I would only recommend this gym if you literally don't have anywhere else that's viable in the area, and would suggest going on quiet hours so you can get easy access to equipment.

Fantastic experience: Snap Fitness Sale is such a great gym, but my experience was made even better by PT Craig. He’s motivated, kind, and so dedicated to his clients, cheering them on throughout their whole fitness journey. And, if you’re lucky enough, you’ll get a dance party between sets!

Fantastic experience: Started to go to the gym again last month usually during my lunch hour (currently working from home). They have done so well in keeping the gym extra clean and disinfected... it's usually quiet when I go and I never have to wait to use a machine. I feel safe knowing that they clean thoroughly between each session. The staff are lovely and the gym is so welcoming - highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Snap fitness is a smaller gym which to me is ideal as it has a smaller client base so is never super busy, I've had a personal trainer and would recommend him, Ethan is his name and is patient and knows what he is doing. The shower and changing facilities are clean and nicer than any other gym in Sale as you get your own room although limited numbers this has never affected me. The staff are really nice and the equipment is clean and has the nessasary options and amount so you dont have to wait, and a app to track your progress to boot. To cancel your membership you have to email them and that is your 30 days notice via email, solid improvement from old system. Been going now for nearly 3 years still no issues. Well done snap fitness team. Hair dryers available mand if you like hair straightener GHD's. Consistent never too busy always people in but never wait for equipment.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member almost since it opened and love the place. Super clear, loads of equipment which is all in great condition and a fabulous team who make you feel incredibly welcome. I cannot recommend Snap enough.
Fantastic experience: I have been a member since March 2019 where with the support of staff, in particular my PT Ethan have lost 5 stone amongst a long list of other achievements! The gym has always maintained a high level of cleanliness which is even more prominent in recent times due to the pandemic. All members and staff partake in keeping the gym and equipment clean and I feel this to be a very safe environment. The equipment and facilities are also fantastic. Manager Emilia is also a standout due to her going above and beyond in fixing an error that had occurred with my membership, the service and understanding was fantastic and appreciated. Snap is a second home to me and long may it continue. I couldn’t recommend enough.

Negative experience: Good gym, would give 4 stars if it weren’t for the fact they have the worst customer service when trying to cancel i’ve ever experienced from any company ever. staff seem nice in the club and no complaints there but whoever’s in charge of accounts will do the absolute most to squeeze every last penny out of you. Contacted them at the beginning of lockdown saying i’m moving out of the area soon and want to cancel now so i am not charged for the first month when lockdown is lifted. To no ones surprise what so ever it took 2 months to get a non automated email back saying we usually require people to be in the gym to cancel but they will let me do it online due to these circumstances and guess what? my last payment will be for august. you’ve just shown me you could have cancelled my membership at any time but chose to ignore 3 emails just so you could get that last month billing out of me. something similar happened last time about 2 years ago where they dodged me trying to cancel until i was charged another month. Not signing up with snap fitness again they have no respect for their customers. Not aiming this at anyone in particular all the staff members i’ve spoken to in the gym are lovely in person. guessing it’s company policy to behave like this just to maximise profits.

Positive experience: Mindful that the operators of the gym read these reviews, here are my thoughts: This is a nice looking smaller gym with colour-coordinated kit, single changing/shower rooms and 24-hour operation (essential to avoid the “gym is shut” excuse for not going). A good balance between the cardio and weights areas and also provides classes and PT. A touch pricier than some of the alternatives, but the convenient location and car parking are a big plus so I’d like to keep going here. The shortfalls: The heavier kit seems to have a blind spot on legs unfortunately - there are a number of weight-stack leg machines which almost never get used, taking up valuable space. The large seated (stack) leg press doesn’t tend to get used by the ladies because its not their thing and the guys don’t use it because they would max it out on weight (and often range of motion). A seated leg curl is present, of a type I’ve seen in many gyms because they’re compact, but they don’t come close the lying down alternatives so are under utilised. The one heavy leg press they do have here is a lever type where the angle of press is constantly changing throughout the extension. In my experience the linear, sliding hack squat machines provide a much more effective leg press and can also be used for calf exercises. Whilst many of the above exercises can indeed be simulated to a degree with barbell squats / on the Smith machine, doing the balancing plus heavy squats thing whilst potentially training alone at 5am is not without its perils. Kit I think would be a good replacement to the under used equipment above, to ensure all bases are covered: 1 x Free-weights hack squat Maybe another 8 x 20kg extra plates for the above 1 x lying leg curl / leg extension machine Might be worth a consultation with the customers to find out if others share this view?.

Positive experience: Updtd: i did receive a refund from snap fitness on the charge one the tcs in the contract were reviewed and the manager advised they will be reviewing the training of staff and the tcs. Based on this, i will increase my score to 3 stars. As I said 5 stars for classes, cleanliness and equipment but have to score down on customer relations. Good things: 24/7gym, clean, good classes, new equipment. I would give 5 stars for all that. However today I had horrible experience with this gym and their receptionist which is below 1 star. I was chucked out of the gym as they were unable to draw payment and told i have to pay 5 pound surcharge. I thought that is odd, i said to the girl let me call the bank and check all is fine with my account, i only changed the card... Apparently they draw the money from the card, not the account. I explained i was obviously unaware of this, this absolutely was not explained to me when i joined back in September, 5 months ago:this is obviously a misunderstanding, i actually remember saying after the trial session that i will have to come back with a debit card to set up direct debit and Robyn said he will be fine with the credit card to set up the payments. Why was it not explained clearly then that if i change card or it expires, i will be charged extra and not allowed in the club? Why sneakily put a surcharge on a loyal member and embarass them in front of other members? If i was aware i would absolutely change the card details as soon as i had the new card 2 weeks ago especially because you can only do it through the reception. When they were unable to draw money why not call or email so that I am aware and can make the payment or know that i need to bring the card today and pay? Instead I made time for pre-booked class and was not allowed in. I made time and child care arrangements to come to a class and i was made to feel really upset and embarassed and was asked to leave. Now, Snap Fitness, I work too hard, respect myself and have to little time for such treatment from a gym for doing nothing wrong other than changing a card and not being advised that payment is not a Direct Debit by your employee. I will change the card details and pay the fees plus surcharge tomorrow as well as filling out the cancellation form. Keep the 5 quid, I am not spending 30 quid a month here going forward, i was a member of LA fitness/sportsdirect Sale for 7 years before and never had an issue like that so i will return back there.

Fantastic experience: Good gym with all the weights, machines and other equipment to carry out all types of workouts for anybody. Being a 24 hour gym all year round of course is great and I love the convenience of being able to visit at 10.30 on a Sunday night - as sad as that may sound to some people - and being able to use whatever I want with no queues!

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! In February I rang up and cancelled my membership and the guy on the phone said everything was fine. Then yesterday I find nearly £60 gone from my account.....so I called up to be told off the manager Sophie the guys information was wrong and I have to come in to do it which is ridiculous...and this is nearly 4 months later. £29.99 for membership and a charge. Looking at previous reviews it seems I'm not the only one to have gone through this. If you want a gym where it's easy month to month contract and no stress then AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS!! I see now why Snap Fitness in Sale hasn't got a good reputation. Sophie the manager may come across nice when getting you a membership and for the record she never mentioned about having to come in when I asked at the start how you get out. Very sneaky people and company. But see for yourself but don't say you weren't warned....

Fantastic experience: Really wonderful gym to be a part of. Its never all that busy which I love! They have some really great equipment that I've not seen at other gyms. The changing and shower facilities are all singular so you're never awkwardly stuck in with any randoms you don't know. Finally, the staff are awesome! I hired a PT there a couple of months ago - Ethan. He took loads of time into researching the issues I'd faced after child birth and how to help my body recover and developed an excercise regime tailored to my needs. Only 2 months down the line I feel stronger and happier and like my pre birth self again. Can't rate him or the gym high enough :)

Negative experience: Do not under any circumstance sign up to this gym! I sent an email requesting to cancel my membership it took them 3 months to process my cancellation form. They make it near impossible for a quick cancellation because they want your MONEY. Dont bother trying to ring the head office they don’t have one.. i wonder why.

Negative experience: I have canceled my membership 8 months ago but only just noticed their are still charging me £32.95. So if you decide to cancel your membership check your bank statements.
Negative experience: VERY poor cancellation service. I visited the branch to return my card and cancel my membership as I was leaving the UK. 2 months later I get an email requesting money. In the end I was still charged up to 3 months of fees after requesting to leave.
