Fantastic experience: Nice well kept gym with plenty of equipment, 2 of each machine and Dumbell so you don't have to wait. Weights area, big matted area and cardio area with also a quiet area you can stretch. The staff are great and the people that go are really friendly aswell. Highly recommended for the price
Negative experience: Utter scam. Signed up, paid for a month on 12th January, decided to change to a different gym so cancelled my direct debit as instructed, then tried to use the gym on 8th February, as I still had until 12th Feb due to my paying a month up front, only to find that my membership has been deactivated and I can't get in. Total scam and they're chat service is CLOSED, yes CLOSED from Thursday to Sunday and no number to call either. Unbelievably shocking business practices and non existent customer service. AVOID at all costs!

Negative experience: Bit of a rough deal when Crawley gym is closed. The commute is dreadful and the gym feels like it's miles away from The car park. Not good enough. It would work better if prolonged gym closures were planned during holiday season, not when everyone goes back to normal routine. Just a thought.

Positive experience: Definitely the best option in Horsham, and quite good for its price. Truthfully I wish there were bigger gyms in Horsham or ones that offered more options, but in the abscence of that The Gym is about as good as it gets here. Have to admit the price is quite good, and the fact that it's 24/7 is actually really cool. It gets very busy around the usual hours (mainly right after work on weekdays) of course, but if you're like me and more into cardio than strength they never seem to run out of treadmills!

Negative experience: I wanted to enter, reach to reception and sign in, but in order to go to reception you need a pass, which they give you....when you sign in. Viscious circle! I was standing behind the door, waiting for some assistant to let me in etc. But after 15 mins standing there I just gave up. Horrid.

Negative experience: I got a very very bad experience on the first day of my membership. I took membership on 15th Sept and since then I am struggling to get into Horsham gym. I tried on 15th sept. My pin was not working...i wasted half an hour on main door trying to get into. Second day 16th sept ..same situation..after some struggle by calling service, i am able to get through main door but on second door i faced same problem...i wasted my time and finally come back.. Third day, i.e. today 17th sept...nothing changed ...my pin is still not working, unable to get into gym, couple of other guys tried to enter my pin but it is not worked for them as well... I am stuck and no one is there to assist

Positive experience: Not the best of all "the gym" centres I have visited this one is lacking some key pieces of equipment, can get really busy at all times really apart from the middle of the night. Is ok if you're just looking for somewhere to have a workout but if you're trying to have proper workout this isn't the place for you. And God forbid you let out any grunts the manager there really doesn't like that. Like I would understand if I was rocking around like Ronnie Coleman but it was just a few grunts because I was pushing myself, then she was standing over me and pretty obnoxiously told me to keep it down. Maybe you should realise this is a gym where people push themselves and may let out a few grunts now and then. Not had any problems at other centres, maybe leave the power trip at the door next time.

Fantastic experience: I always have a good workout here, and there are a good selection of machines. There is always lots of anti bacteria spray and paper towels although not everyone uses it.....

Negative experience: This is now like training in a youth club. Groups of 5/6 lads messing about on equipment for half an hour, or groups of girls sitting having a chat . Can’t this me managed a abit more productively.

Positive experience: Been going to this gym for a few years now, staff are friendly and approachable, the equipment seems to be well maintained and available most of the time. It can be annoying when people come in groups as they tend to screw around more than actually using the equipment, as well as people grabbing multiple pieces of equipment then taking them over to a single one to hog them all (even when not in active use)

Negative experience: The keypad on the front door is sticky. It has been like this for years and still isn't fixed

Negative experience: If you just want a gym, it's okay, but the staff are pretty awful in not taking any interest in customers, unless it's a private lesson (with one exception). Staff also never, ever clean any kit, even when using it for private lessons, despite all the signs saying to wipe it down (again with the same one exception). Often quite busy, despite the app saying it is nearly empty. Usual gym problem of way too many running machines (always virtually all are unused) and way too few free weights positions. Sadly this still qualifies it as one of the best gyms in Horsham especially when price is factored in.

Negative experience: I signed up the good things are the equipment! The rest not so good the staff are not very friendly there head office is even worse paid for a months membership went once !!!!! The gym made me feel so uncomfortable .

Fantastic experience: Just joined the Horsham branch of the gym, I have been twice so far and the first time didn’t feel that welcome there being a new member but on my second visit it all changed I spoke to a very nice and professional member of staff called Alan. I explained to him that I hadn’t visited a gym for many years so was a bit nervous, he couldn’t have been more helpful and understanding. Negative experience: On the positive side there is a good range of equipment and it is a large open space to train, it is possible to get a very good workout in. However there are serious problems with the roof leaking so the floor is littered with buckets struggling to collect the amount of rainwater leaking in. There has been no contact from management advising when the problem will be rectified or even apologising for the state the gym is currently in. Also the gym has never supplied paper towels or any kind of spray to wipe down machines after use (or before use if the previous user has not been decent enough to do so!) I understand that this might have something to do with cutting down paper towel waste but sadly many gym users do not bring their own towels. The gym is certainly cheap in comparison to other gyms in the area but still no excuse to let it get to the state it is currently in.

Negative experience: The brand of gym i cannot recommend highly enough. "The Gym" is brilliant value-for-money - and offers a professional and friendly environment to exercise in. However the Horsham branch leaves MUCH to be desired. It is damp, untidy, unhygienic, and has huge issues with leaks from the ceiling that make the experience less than pleasant at times. Until they resolve these issues I cannot recommend it above others in the area.

Fantastic experience: Lovely new gym and friendly staff. Doesn't get to busy unless the obvious peak times but even then can still complete a workout without having to queue for weights or equipment

Positive experience: Pros: plenty of equipment, low price. Cons: free weight zone is always very untidy and disorganized because of the lack of plate trees.
