Fantastic experience: Very nice and clean gym.friendly staff.new equipments and always friendly environment for workout.
Positive experience: Super close to the city and amazing fitness classes are its biggest selling points (would definitely recommend Spin and Pump). All the PTs are super helpful and friendly and the machines are simple to use. The changing room and shower facilities are regularly checked and cleaned but there is always an unusual odour.
Negative experience: The gym boasts a pleasant facility and its location is incredibly convenient for me. However, it's excessively crowded and lacks proper ventilation. The air inside is consistently warm, humid, and heavy throughout the day! Picture over a hundred sweating bodies crammed into a small building with no windows open? It's essentially a breeding ground for sickness! Despite my efforts to stay engaged, it's impossible to exercise comfortably with so many people confined in such a small space. While the membership may be inexpensive, the service leaves much to be desired. It is what it is. I strongly recommend a larger space! There's a sizable building nearby that would be perfect. We need adequate space rather than cramming people into a confined area just because it's cost-effective! We deserve better and healthier management.
Negative experience: Unfortunately there was an person born a male in the female changing room. There are young vulnerable girls getting changed in there. The male was almost about to take a photo in the girls changing room mirror with the young girls in the background but didnt. They then continued to linger around the main door hidden behind the wall. This is not good there should be a seperate place for transgender individuals to get changed e.g a disabled toilet. I and my friends do not feel safe getting changed at the gym.
Fantastic experience: Good lovely place
Negative experience: the one star is for the one male member of staff with a ponytail who is lovely and helpful, everything else guys save your money and pay extra to go elsewhere because this place is awful . the staff are rude and get thrill off having a go at people, the manager woman loves this especially she’s like one of those school teachers she ridiculed a man trying to enter the gym who shared his passcode, who made his whole way there, when she could have just called him. but she gets off on making people feel bad. also the bald man is not nice . the other staff just may as well not be staff, just be PTs, why do you even work here? . The gym itself is not good either, only one bench press, no hack/pendulum squat, no assisted pull-up machine, no hyperextension, so many machines they don’t have, and worst of all now that it’s winter they’ve turned off the AC which makes absolutely no sense since people sweat the same amount, the gym is always filled with a disgusting stench of sweat and the air is think and unable to breathe . however, the people who go to this gym are all lovely and make it worth it for someone like me who can’t afford anything better. in conclusion the staff only care about themselves and their clients, like i said other than the man with the ponytail.
Positive experience: No Steam or Sauna. Bad lighting. Not much worth for the cost.
Fantastic experience: Great and clean salons, changing rooms and showers.Unvalible atmosphere to spend my time with friends.And least, but not last, place for mental peace and rest... High recommendation..

Negative experience: Need few more equipments for hamstrings hammer strength select probe one equipment which is not available, for fore arms machine, long rope, weight pull and run. Need to add more equipments in gym.

Negative experience: The gym is nice, the staff is kind and the overall environment is friendly. However, is too small for the amount of clients registered. It's impossible to find some breathable air from 4pm to 9pm. Even late nigh (around 10pm) it's busy and bad ventilated. It's a shame that such an amazing gym is so small. The localisation it's perfect and the price is super fair. I would like to continue but considering the amount of people struggling to fit in a such small place, I'm not sure if I would be able to do so. Sad, super sad.

Positive experience: Frankly speaking, pure gym should be considered as one of the best in the UK,although there is some cons which could be improved. The facilities and devices are good and the price is affordable, 17.99 per month. Some thing that could be an issue is the times in which people should do excersise without staff's observation.

Fantastic experience: Good experience in my few visits so far, but I think they ought to allocate more space for heavy barbell lifting (squat racks/dead lifting platforms, but especially squat racks), and weight lifting in general, as this is very popular at this gym. They have a huge area full of cardio machines that seem to barely get used, but the weight lifting area is relatively busy, and yet there is more space allocated to cardio machines. In general people appear to be using the cardio machines to warm up and warm down around their weight lifting workout.

Positive experience: Great price and good equipment layout. The gym however could use more 10kg plates as they are never available. The last time i used the showers they were reasonably clean, but did smell a bit like sewage which was a bit gross. Otherwise it's a good gym. I'd recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Decent gym, better free weights area than other Pure. Shame the lockers are nearly all broken.

Positive experience: Good gym, but falsely advertised as 24/7 365 days even has big sign in gym stating this but is not true.
We are happy to see that you enjoy your gym! We appreciate these temporary festive hours may interrupt your workout program, so we do apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. The reason we've adjusted our opening hours is so that we can give our teams some well deserved time off after the past 18 months, due to the current operational plans this does mean we have to adjust the opening hours of our gyms. Positive experience: The initial exposure to the place might not be as you expect it to be as the ground floor is occupied by weights and cable machines. Personally look wise, Northumbria University's gym premise tops it, yet with the number and variations of the machine, Pure gym gets the upper hand. The training staff is supportive and has astonishing amount of knowledge regarding whatever workout style you prefer. In terms of price, student discount is another reason to hit the gym.

Positive experience: Every thing you need as of all the pure gyms i have visited, but a bit on the small side if your going in peak hours. But still definitely worth signing up too.

Negative experience: Mens changing room was dirty, typically the bench. Not able to locked one of the toilet out of 2. No toilet paper at all, no blue roll at least..

The prices vary because it does not cost the same to run a gym in every part of the country. Rents in London for our buildings is more than rents elsewhere meanwhile some gyms may have higher utility bills than others too. It would not be possible to charge the same for every gym in the country given it does not cost the same to run. I am sorry if this puts you off PureGym but it is unavoidable. Positive experience: Great location, friendly staff. A little on the small side so there's usually a wait for certain equipment, and theres a few more pieces of equipment they could do with. All in all not a bad Gym at all. Ideal for a quick workout.

Positive experience: Cheap and cheerful. Decent equipment, decent facilities. Annoying busy at peak times, clearly no moderation of numbers and a bit of a free for all but 90% cheaper than David Lloyds? Il take the £120 a month saving ....

Positive experience: Great gym but they could do with covering up the gap under an escalator that you have to stare at out of the window when doing cardio
Fantastic experience: Awesome gym with a great range of quality equiptment. Also fully staffed with attentive personal trianers who are always willing to help. Bonus points for the air con and fresh smell where other local gyms are always humid and smelly.

Positive experience: I upgraded my membership to use this gym along with my home gym and was really disappointed with not being able to park near the gym, the car park at the back was full, it took me a good twenty mins to find somewhere near. I did enjoy the class though and felt the burn aftwerwards.

Positive experience: من أشهر النوادي الصحية الرياضية، والمنتشر في جميع أنحاء المملكة المتحدة، مساحة النادي متوسطة، يحتوي على صالة للتمارين وصالة الحديد وأجهزة متنوعة لتمارين رفع الأثقال وبناء العضلات، أجهزة الجري والكارديو في الطابق العلوي بالإضافة إلى استديو الدراجات الهوائية، قيمة الاشتراك مناسبة جدا ولديهم خصومات للطلبة، يخولك اشتراكك في النادي الاستفادة من مجموعة واسعة من حصص التمارين الرياضية المجانية (تخسيس، سويدي، سايكل ...) التي تقام على مدار الاسبوع (ماعدا الأحد) فقط يلزمك التسجيل بها عن طريق التطبيق الخاص بالنادي أو الموقع أو من خلال الأجهزة المتوفرة في النادي، غرفة تبديل الملابس تحتوي على خزانات بأحجام مختلفة وغرف الشور ودورات المياة، عليك فقط إحضار القفل الخاص بك، يباع القفل في النادي بسعر 5£، في هذا الفرع لا يوجد غرفة خاصة للتبديل بالتالي لا يوجد خصوصية، بطبيعة الحال النادي مختلط. موقع النادي جيد لكن لا يحتوي على مواقف سيارات مجانية، الجو العام للنادي ممتاز جدا والتهوية ممتازة وطاقم العمل ودودين، يفتح النادي 24/7 وهو ميزة رائعة جدا، المشكلة الوحيدة هي ارتفاع صوت الموسيقى.
Positive experience: It's ok no trainer after 9 pm only cleaner

We do have manned hours in all our gyms, where a member of staff is present: this could be a Gym Manager, Personal Trainer or part of the Cleaning Team. Our gyms are also monitored 24/7 by CCTV. Staff can be running classes or with a client so there can be a delay in one being readily on hand to assist you, but as soon as they are available they are happy to help all members! If you cannot find a member of staff during our staffed hours you can try the office door or press the assistance button. Thanks, PureGym

I'm afraid it's true our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. To make the most of the space where possible, though, we are always looking to expand and improve our facilities, so please keep an eye out for updates. Positive experience: Good gym. But not always clean.

Staff do undertake regular cleaning checks and we have dedicated cleaning teams come each night to carry out and comply with internal and external audits. But we can of course check the cleaning rotas so if you let the Gym Manager know when you’ve visited they can properly investigate. Fantastic experience: Great gym caters for everyone. Staff friendly never overcrowded no matter what time I turn up. Parking is only let down.

My apologies that we've not been able to provide free parking at this gym given the location. Parking costs are not something that PureGym have control over as the car park itself is owned by an external company, but we don't want there to be any more barriers to getting to the gym than there need to be and will always try to make an agreement with the parking company. If you're coming by car pop NE1 4BN into your SatNav and park at the one of the pay-and-display car parks at St James’ Park, Blandford Square and Grainger Town.
