Negative experience: 19th of November was the first day with snow and when I got to the gym it was sooooo cold inside that i had to rush with my training. The next day was the same, AC was blowing cold air. Now I am taking Paracetamol because I do not feel well, thx a lot... Why they do not turn the heating on, or put a sign if it doesn't work. If they really care about their members.
Hi Marius, thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. We have recently made slight changes to this area, looking at improving energy efficiency. This is both to control our energy usage, but also with a look to reduce our carbon footprint. By law, we have a requirement to provide a certain amount of fresh air based on occupancy levels, and our ventilation system increases and decreases at different times throughout the day and night, making sure we meet these requirements and provide good air movement around the gyms. These levels are based on size of the gym, and occupancy levels, and are regularly monitored. All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities and all feedback is taken into account when making any future changes. Positive experience: The gym is nice and modern. I didn't like it because I don't have free parking. The best thing is the view, they have nice big windows.

Positive experience: Decent gym, loads of equipment so going at peak times isn't usually an issue. The changing rooms could be a bit bigger and have more facilities though, there's literally only two toilets and three showers in the gents locker room and at peak time the count was well in the hundreds so could really do with some more but other than that still a good gym.

Fantastic experience: The whole gym is huge. All areas are well spaced out to provide privacy and comfort. Clean and so far members attending respectful of other users
Positive experience: It is always so hot in here! Turn up the A/C before everyone leaves when it get's even hotter in summer
Positive experience: A fairly decent gym all round. The good points are that it's one of the cheaper ones in town (despite going up £2 p/m from today), has a fair variety of equipment, paper towels and anti-bac cleaning available, and regular courses most of which are included in the standard membership that can be booked using an app, which also monitors your usage and can help with a training regime. You can also arrange personal trainer sessions with staff who are friendly and helpful, although many of these sessions may be paid for. I've not yet booked any myself. On the downside, like most gyms it's as good as the people that use it, and some of the other clientele are idiots. Very few people wipe down the equipment after they use it. Many don't know how to use it properly, over-extending themselves which can result in weights being dropped. The clanging of metal is quite common, and the breaking of floorboards and some equipment was an issue. They recently relaid the floor after people left large holes all over the free weights section, which now looks a lot better. There is air-con in the building, but since the utility rates increased this gets turned on a lot less, which can be horrible and stuffy at busy times in the summer. I think that if you're looking for a budget(ish) gym this one is quite good. If you have more money to spend and want higher quality equipment you may want to try somewhere else.

Negative experience: Last year I canceled my membership, but I was charged again! Support does not help much, I already canceled it in my account, I just want to refuse membership in this gym, but I can’t!! So the history of this gym ended in they made my money from another month, but I told them I needed to cancel the membership forever, so support didn't listen to me and I lost money. I never recommend this gym.
Fantastic experience: I only use pure gym for access to showers when travelling. This is a large clean gym with plenty of gym equipment. On each of my visits it hasn't been to busy. Showers was hot and clean. Pad lock needed for lockers. No parking, however there is parking next door for 70p a hour or Free at farm foods
Positive experience: No Car Park nearest one for free is only 90 minutes
Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere. Impressive to note members are conscious about not sweating the machines
Negative experience: A large and open puregym but the layout and equipment selection is odd. They finally “fixed” the floor issue by replacing it with a gargantuan rig system with an even wobblier floor underfoot. Bizarre. There are two toilets in the men’s changing rooms (in a gym with an enormous capacity) but one of two is perennially out of order for no apparent reason, usually for weeks on end. The hand dryer is often out of order too.

Positive experience: Nice big and open gym. Huge range of free weights and lots of lockers. Gym was a bit tired but has recently been refurbished (I haven’t visited since). Please add details of local parking to the website. I parked in the multi-storey next door but it was very difficult to work out if it’s locked at night (I’m now pretty sure it isn’t?)

Positive experience: Leg extension machine has been broken for a while now. They should borrow a replacement while waiting for the main one to be repaired.

Positive experience: One of the better Pures Always enjoy training here. Nice and spacious, lots of natural light. It is generally cleaner than many of the other Pures, although blue paper everywhere is still standard! Could squeeze some more machines in, given the amount of space Especially as like many Pures, it can get very busy. But a good score from me.

Negative experience: The gym is falling apart, broken or missing equiptment and holes in the floor coned off for months now. Weights always taken from racks and not returned and only 2 bench press setups and ez bars in the whole gym. Lots of waiting and effort to get the weights you want let alone lift them

Negative experience: sorry PureGym it's not that I dislike your establishment I just have no opinion because I dnt do the Gym that's why I find it funny that Google has said I visited this place . More like Asda to get a pk of sausage rolls and a cheese cake for pudding

Fantastic experience: I've used pure gym before but not this one in particular. All of the equipment was in good condition, access was simple and straightforward, huge range of equipment too. No problems throughout my visit. Toilets were a bit pungent but for a 24hr facility and the timing of my visit (late night) that's to be expected, it met my expectations. I'd recommend to anyone especially based on the prices for other gyms in the area. The sequential use for multi day pass is a bit annoying but understandable.

Negative experience: I started going to the gym, it has joining fee and I found another gym too without joining fee, but I said okay lets try this. First month with joining fee i paid 27.99 , it was fine for me, after I went home for holiday for a while, thats why I didn't pop up our revolut account. The premium membership is 18.99, because we didn't pop up my card thats why I had one declined charge. Next time charged me with 42.99 i didn't understand this why could be more than double, thats why i didn't pop up my card anymore. I wrote to the gym on messenger and I asked how is that possible?I am extremely disappointed and mad, how can they be so arrogant. They should have apologies and explain everything detailed, why this happened and why is it that specific amount. I regret choosing pure gym. In the second month i have only been once and i was charged £42.99 instead of 18.99. This is ridiculous and disappointing.

Positive experience: I think value for the "value for money" thing, it does tick all the boxes, staff are very helpful and the equipment are new, clean and fullfil most of workouts types. Cons may be (for me) car parking not available, no steam room, sauna or jacuzzi.

Fantastic experience: Pretty great especially now with all the extra cleaning. Good range of machines and equipment, even during some of the busier times it's not too difficult to do your routine without having to wait. Classes are great too.

Negative experience: Guys please lkeep the toilet clean...there is piss everywhere on the seats and floor. during peak times get checks done every 60 mins not 2 hours ..between 4pm to 9pm weekdays especially. . i've left feedback previously on the website a month a go nothing has been done about this. I will post pics next time..its really gross. otherwise the staff are nice and the equipment is decent overall nice atmosphere.. i just want to be able to use the bathrooms!!

Our gyms are very popular and can become busy, especially at peak times! The busyness does fluctuate throughout the day, and from day-to-day. We have implemented a section to the website and the app which informs our members how many people are in the gym at that time and a graph to show the previous busyness of the gym on certain dates for comparison which we have found has really helped our members plan their workouts. Fantastic experience: Nice gym, on the main road, park in asda car park 3 hrs free if u do shopping at asda. Or car park opposite

Fantastic experience: An AMAZING GYM !! There’s always a great vibe and atmosphere. The staff here are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They take a personal interest in you no matter what fitness level you’re at and I love how they always giving me tips and tricks to get the most out of every workout. This gym is also very spacious and very well maintained from cleanliness point of view. I would highly recommend checking this gym out.

Fantastic experience: Been to many different gyms and this is one of my favourites, great classes (especially spin!) and almost every piece of equipment you could want. Great free weight selection. Plus everyone that works there are really friendly :)

Negative experience: Female manager literally has ruined my time working out here with her threatening to cancel my membership because my friend was encouraging me to release my dragon when doing my bench and she believed it was a personal insult. So unprofessional and continued to stammer excuses for her unprovoked rudeness and threats once we'd explained the situation. She continued to obviously follow and watch us for the rest of the time at the gym until we ended the workout early and left. This may cause me to change gyms as I don't like the idea of seeing the manager again. If my membership is after this point terminated it's likely due to her reading this. The gym however is decently equipped and easy to find the equipment needed.
