Fitness4Less Worcester (now Topnotch Gyms Worcester)

Fantastic experience: Nice, clean gym, with good cardio equipment coupled with a nice selection of free weights and machines. Very pleasant and helpful staff. I’m visiting from out of town and they were happy to set me up with a one month membership. Highly recommend for tourists, locals and remote workers.

Negative experience: Not very impressed with this gym, it’s not terrible but I expected a lot better for the price. £45 per month if you need parking and if not it’s still £40 per month which is very expensive when compared to other gyms (even those which also include pool, sauna etc). Some of the equipment really needs updating. You are also not allowed access for the full month you have paid for, as soon as you cancel they stop your access. Other gyms I have been to allow you access for the full month you have paid for are and much reasonably priced. Positives: staff are friendly, good location, enjoyed the classes (although classes sometimes feel cramped) but the gym can definitely not justify the prices they are charging and should not be named ‘Fitness4Less’ as they are the most expensive basic gym I have ever heard of.

Negative experience: Showers are always clogged up leaving a stench and water is all over the floor. Hairdryer doesn't even work and only 2 available. This can be hard when a class has just finished. Swimming room always busy so unable to use most of the time .

Fantastic experience: The manager Arran really looked after me! Even gave me a kiss on the cheek :)

Fantastic experience: Great gym. The sauna is the hottest I've ever been in. The pool is ok but always busy I thought. Steam room is ok. The showers are good, no temperature control though. The workout area gets very busy.

Fantastic experience: Going to the gym for the first time in decades can be quite intimidating but I am really pleased for choosing fitness4less, everyone was extremely welcoming and now after just a couple of months I fell like home and I've made nice friends so I couldn't be happier

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff who are really helpful and interested in your health journey

Positive experience: It's a great location at the Cathedral Plaza. Easy to get to, bike racks inside, bus stop 25 metres away and car-park above. Members get free car-parking for 2 hours. A well equipped gym with pool, sauna and steam room.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, great staff. Ladies only gym also downstairs plus other rooms, swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Lots of classes ranging from boxercise to aqua aerobics to yoga.. You get 2 hrs parking at the ncp next door which sadly I think most of us find isn't long enough.. by the time you've done a class and had a shower you're already pushed for time and the car park is so expensive when you have to pay for it. Its also the worst car park ever built and designed. Tiny parking spaces with huge posts that get in the way and grinds the bottom of your car as you exit but obviously this isn't the gyms fault, just unfortunate. Reasonable monthly cost so long as you use it, also being a member gives you discounts to use in other places such as the pizza express a couple of doors away, a bit counter productive but good for a treat day/night

Fantastic experience: Been a member of many Gyms in the past, but I really really love this one. Relaxed atmosphere, modern equipment, a small pool and they do classes as well, so excellent facilities all round. They also validate your parking at the NCP carpark next door which is a massive bonus. But the best thing is the flexible memberships that they offer which are as good a value as anything you will find. So no hesitation in recommending it to anyone as great value for money whether you want something short term or for a longer period.

Positive experience: Way smaller than advertised and the facilities arent that great

Fantastic experience: Great staff, facilities and vibe, which makes going there all the easier. This is truly the best gym I've ever been too and I want to thank those involved for helping me immensely on my fitness journey.

Positive experience: Steam room brilliant, swimming pool very cold, and no jacuzzi, but you get what you pay for.

Positive experience: Has most of what you need and had a nice vibe. No one was judgemental and got on with their own business. Could do with some bands as a nice addition.

Negative experience: NO SPACE between gym equipment and NO space for stretching, small bar(for biceps) need a new roll because it's squeaking all the time. For £35/month is a low-quality gym but high on Price, i will search for another one soon. Update: where you can stretch? Even now that small bar from the corders is does squeak, people do come into the gym with they're handbag (even so ur not allowed). I never touh the boxing bag bag because its always classes, you should move early the casses because people after work they jointhe gym (17-18:00). It was a good gym because the pool. I am sorry to leave this gym because the highest price. Is there any possibility that people can make a plan only for the pool?

Fantastic experience: So i have been coming to this gym since it opened and i havent even considered changing since. I have been a member of a few gyms round worcester in the past and i normally change due to not being able to use the machines when its busy or poor equipment etc but havent had this issue at fitness 4 less, even during the busy periods. The guys on the desk are sound and always give me tips and tricks (Adam mostly but some of the others too). Having the pool and sauna too is really handy. Overall, quality gym with a broad range of equipment with top staff! Smashing it guys and ladies!

Fantastic experience: I like the gym, it's got everything you'll need. The women's gym room is also a really good idea, you get to exercise in a smaller space with a bit more privacy. Pool, steam room and sauna is just the best. And all that in the city centre next to parking facilities.

Positive experience: For £33 a month I'd expect a bit more. If I was paying £20 I'd be fairly happy with this gym - but at £33 - there are other gyms that supercede this one for a similar cost. It's adequate.

Fantastic experience: Centrally located in the heart of Worcester on Cathedral Square. I've been a member of the gym since it opened. For only £24 per month you get a modern well equipped gym, friendly helpful staff as well as pool, sauna and steam room. All the equipment is interactive and when using can sync to the Lf app downloadable from the app store. This is a great gym. Five stars..

Negative experience: 4 out of 6 spin classes where instructors have not turned up..... not email apologising issued anymore but customers still charged for missing 1 class?? Also opening times vary in the week as new staff havent got keys and can not contact anyone.... I honestly love this gym and the classes (when instructors turn up) but being let down too much too often lately.

Negative experience: Second time we have turned up at the gym at 6am and its not open, then have to pay £2.50 carpark charge for being in there for 2 minutes. I have sent an email to the company twice now with no response

Fantastic experience: One of the best Gyms I have ever been to. The staff are very lovely and always there to help, the courses are not only in a great variety but you are also supported by the other members and a great team feeling occurs and the booking system is easy and causes the v classes never to be too full. It is very clean and not too full most of the time. Met some great trainer and had nice conversations with other members. I will definately go back there and would recommend to everyone else. It is also very beginner friendly.

Positive experience: Seems to be an inordinate focus on squats. With three squat racks, and a new hack Squat machine, and the Smith Machine if you fancy it, it makes for a very elbow to elbow experience at times. No rowers in the main gym, and with classes from 17:00 everyday, these are unavailable if you work a 9-5. I have never been a fan of loud music in gyms, especially not dance music, which is kind of a downer. Seems to play an unreasonable amount of the band 'Pendulum' and their ilk, they weren't good to listen to in 2010. Still aren't.

Positive experience: Very Happy with the gym + Lots of equipment for all personalities + Sauna and Steam Room is always clean + Staff are nice + Ladies only gym - Near the machines the place can stink of dirty farts especially during peak times..maybe a ventilation issue or put an automated spray thingy to clear the nasty protein farts.. - Turnstiles are not efficient and sometimes frustrating. - Showers used to be dirty but i've seen that its now manned all the time. - Parking is not easy but atleast £1 for 2 hours. Edit: If you have to drive to gym, and go regularly the monthly price becomes high.

Positive experience: Been here a few times since opening, lots of different equipment in the gym, a ladies gym and smaller more private gym. My only complaint is the floor in the swimming pool has a sandy texture which after doing aqua Zumba for an hour caused me to have multiple blood blisters on my feet!! Perhaps this is something that will get worn down to smooth but it won't be my feet doing so!
