Fantastic experience: I enrolled 2 months ago and I'm very impressed with the gym, the studios, the classes as well as the trainers. The community is friendly and I feel safe, and there are tons of classes to choose from. They continue to innovate and upgrade the facilities so I can't wait for more variety and opportunities. My toddler comes here to swim and my husband doesn't mind waiting for us because it's a big place to go around. There's also a big parking space.

Fantastic experience: Went here for the miniature railway. A fantastic place. The grounds are really love and well kept, abd tgd train rides were excellent value at £1 per ride. Some great trains to ride behind and the staff were very helpful and made the trip here a pleasure.

Positive experience: Watch the grandchildren have swimming lessons here , only problem I find is its very warm inside , lots of staff on hand so people are always looked after , they also do a nice coffee.

Fantastic experience: On the whole this is a fantastic gym, some people just need to be a bit realistic about what you can expect from a local authority gym which is very cheap. Loved my time at this gym, my favourite person and class was spinning with Julie at 6am on a Monday and a close second would be fort fit with Josh, will miss you guys as I move off the island soon.

Negative experience: Popped along to the Saturday morning fun swim in the baby pool with my 2 year old, just a couple of ducks and balls in the pool, not enough for all the kids, no floats out etc.. when I ask the lifeguard he said we don’t put anything out anymore as it get broken ! Still happy to state it on their website that they do though !

Fantastic experience: A very good place to not only do great classes, such as ZUMBA, PILATES and AQUA. There is so much more to do, plus u can make friends too. So glad I joined.

Fantastic experience: We go there for the pulmonary clinic. The staff at reception are both friendly and helpful. They have a small cafe, we often take the meal deal.

Negative experience: Been on hold on the telephone for 40 minutes as the website doesn’t show the pool has reopened after repair works it’s never this busy at reception

Negative experience: A few years ago, we were renting one of the football pitches every week and playing football. We stopped playing there because the ground ( turf ) was getting bad. Last night, we rented it again and went to play football thinking that maybe the ground turf been fixed or renewed, but not surprisingly the ground was even worse .we played football on almost every synthetic field around 20 miles circle and we have never seen a ground as bad and dangerous as this one, should be banned from renting that ground to people and playing football in such a dangerous state ( cost £53 for an hour ) , the holes are so bad that you can slide your feet under the turf and reach concrete floor, I hope someone in charge see state of this football ground after been so bad 3/4 years and do something about it immediately before someone seriously get hurt !!.I will personally report it to CastlePoint Council as well ..

Fantastic experience: I have a yearly membership which I pay monthly. This is an off peak deal for Mon/Fri between 8am and 6pm. This gives me unlimited use of the gym, sauna, swimming pool and any classes I wish to do. Apart from the gym you do have to book which I do online which is easy and hassle free. You can do a pay as you go but this would work out far more expensive than the £34.00 I pay per month. The staff who take the classes are all so brilliant and encourage you to do your absolute best. All other staff are so helpful and friendly. If you have been thinking of joining a gym/Leisure centre than this one is a good choice in my opinion.

Negative experience: I had high hopes for this gym due to its convenient location and excellent equipment. The sauna and steam room were indeed great amenities. However, my overall experience has been disappointing. First and foremost, the staff's lack of friendliness and approachability is a major drawback. Whether it's the gym staff or personal trainers, a simple "good morning" or basic courtesy seems to be a rare occurrence. The inconsistency in the reception service is frustrating. Some days, you encounter a friendly receptionist, while on other days, it's the complete opposite. Consistency in customer service should be a priority, especially since they are the first point of contact. What alarmed me the most was the inadequate response to inappropriate behavior from fellow members. I reported a racist and sexist incident, providing evidence, but the management appeared hesitant and slow to act. This lack of action seriously compromises member safety and comfort. Additionally, the uncomfortable atmosphere in the sauna, with unwelcome attention from certain male members, goes unchecked by the management. It's concerning that they don't address this issue, which discourages female members from using these facilities. Overall, I cannot recommend this gym. The unfriendly atmosphere and a lack of prompt and appropriate action by the management regarding member safety and behavior make it an unsatisfactory choice for fitness enthusiasts

Positive experience: Good nice spacious well laid out gym , well run with friendly professional staff always happy to help. The gym has a very good selection of workout stations and machines to use and offers many classes to partake. The centre is huge, could do with more toilets in the men's changing room , overall cleaning is good a nice well run facility

Positive experience: The pool is lovely, but it's frustrating that it often gets closed and no one announces it on their website - your only notice of it being out of action is a rather unfriendly growl as you try to go to the pool are. They need to do better a letting people know the pool is out of action.

The instructors and staff are all friendly. I have been to few gyms in my time and waterside has always been hands down the best in all aspects of what you expect in a leisure centre.

Fantastic experience: Went to their new soft play area. Was really pleased and my daughter loved every minute. Clean, tidy and plenty for little ones to do. Staff also very polite and helpful at the front desk. Will definitely be returning again!

Always found everyone that works at Waterside Leisure Centre really helpful and friendly, it's like an extended family! Have meet so many new faces, some have become great friends.

Fantastic experience: Great place to train everyday. Something for everyone everyday. Great friendly staff both in the gym and at reception. Make a workout as part of you everyday or every-other-day regime and it’s becomes a way of life. Facilities are good especially taking into account the amount of users. Great family atmosphere even without kids if required. Josh, Julie, Clare, Tracy and the rest of the team will help you get going. Go meet them all. Exercise is for life not just for Christmas. We all have a laugh down there. Friday club too! Dodgeball fun sometimes too!

Negative experience: Need to teach your staff some manners, especially the coloured fella absolutely disgusting. Never experienced anything like it, will definitely be telling people to stay clear.

Negative experience: Staff were just completely rude. First and last time we will be coming to this pool. My partner and step son literally went a cm past the non swimmers line and the man life guard shouted “can you not read” then continue to stare at us the whole time and made my partner feel really uncomfortable. When we complained at the front desk the lady was just as bad saying “he probably didn’t mean it” we went on to say well he should of said that and acted that way when he works in an environment with children. Her response was “well he hasn’t work with children does he cause his just life guard” who does he guard and save then his self? Hate to sound like a Karen cause we are far from it but if you are not looking to get your family day ruin then don’t come here.

Negative experience: Turned up twice now in school holidays only to find the pools closed and runnymede not open to cover either, just update your website. Very inconsiderate management not to inform parents.

Fantastic experience: The gym itself is brilliant but unfortunately the carpark is full of travellers, their dogs and their kids running around. The council don't seem to be doing anything about it, which I don't think is very fair when people are paying a fair amount of money to use all the facilities. Its not a nice feeling walking through all that. I also think they are going into the leisure centre and possibly using certain things, which again is very unfair and something should be done. If I was just rating the gym and the instructors I would a 100% give 5 stars.

Positive experience: The changing rooms and pool could do with a revamp or at least a decent clean. Quite grubby facilities. However the staff are lovely and the gym is good and high tech with lots of kit. The cleanliness let’s it down a bit.

Positive experience: A comprehensive cover of sports facilities are available here, indoor and outdoor facilities cover everything from squash, swimming, tennis, gym, running track, and much more. But I think it's expensive.

Positive experience: Love the gym, but the sauna should have access to the pool, so much space but so much waste. The gym section is not organised with all the equipment. Finally I hate being asked to move because you want to do your classes when they could use the empty big room. We all pay the same and time is limited for some of us.

Negative experience: Badminton courts not always ready on arrival, and currently waiting over 40 minutes on the phone (yes, just about to hang up) for someone to answer in reception. It's 10.15 am so would hope this area would be staffed. I do like this place, it's great to have locally, but problems like these should be avoidable. Update - 24 May 2022..............trying to book some badminton up but still no-one ever answers a phone at Waterside (I've only waited 20 minutes so far). WHYYYYYYYY !!!!!

Fantastic experience: Well worth a visit with or without children!!

Positive experience: I have only used the pool for myself and baby it was a good size however for a baby pool it was quite cold I feel it should be slightly warmer than that. Also check before you go to use the pool as sometimes they have aqua classes and the music is really loud and your children maybe sensitive to this and be upsetting like my 6 month old baby.

Fantastic experience: A big ole place that has everything. The new gym is awesome & spotless. Great classes big carpark. Showers always free & not busy. Maz on reception is a legend.

Positive experience: Amenities are good, great to see all the children either learning to swim or in staged classes. Only bad thing I noticed was the carpark is to small for the amount of activities available. Also out of 13 vehicles parked in handicapped bays, 11 were not showing blue badges, but cannot blame staff for this issue.

Positive experience: Only on the astro today. Community pitch that was well maintained, but past its best. Patched in places, but plays well. No seating, but space to stand and watch. Clean toilets inside the centre, which was well maintained.

Fantastic experience: I take my little boy for swimming lessons here every week. We always have a fantastic lesson run by Lita, and all the staff I have come across have been very helpful and friendly, especially Lauren on reception. I have only used the pool so far but imagine the rest of the facilities are just as good. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I've been attending the gym here for around 2 months now as I've recently moved to the area. I cannot speak highly enough of the equipment available. Really enjoy the Fort and the time I go it's empty so I've got free range to utilise as much equipment as possible! Kudos guys

Positive experience: The place is fine, got everything you'd want for a leisure centre but the app and the website are both useless. Incorrect information. It's like someone said "we need a website and an app" and made them both the cheapest way possible just to tick some boxes.
