Positive experience: I always expect spa & golf type hotels & getaways to be soulless. This wasn’t. Nice clean rooms, pleasant & quiet. The staff were very good from the receptionist, waiters, bar staff & cleaners. The pool & sauna were very good too. Where it could improve to an excellent score would be the food, breakfast was ok, the evening meal was disappointing for the price.

Fantastic experience: As a wedding photographer, I recently had the privilege to shoot a wedding here. The location is stunning with fantastic scenic views. The food in the bar/lounge area is top quality and good value. Fantastic experience: Fantastic hotel in terms of service. I didn't stay at the hotel, but I contacted with them to ask about the possibility of organizing a surprise for my partner, who was celebrating his birthday. Without hesitation, the lady from the service agreed to help with the organization and suggested possible options. The surprise was great, not only did the hotel organize a birthday card for free, but also handwritten wishes were written in it, the card was put in an envelope and delivered to the room. Thank you very much for your help and great service. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others :)

Fantastic experience: Recently played our annual rider cup here. We had left it a bit late to book and find somewhere but Ed and his team managed to fit us in on a busy Sunday with buggies. Ended up a really good round and the course played well. Nice touch was the half way house for a bacon sandwich.

Fantastic experience: Just got back off a golf break with friends and couldn't fault the hotel. The rooms were clean and well presented. The food was nice throughout and an excellent selection for breakfast. The golf course itself was a good challenge for an amateur and the guys in the shop were really helpful, especially the golf manager Ed who we saw each day and always greeted us in a friendly manner. Will definitely return next year!

Positive experience: I’ve given 4 stars based on the value for money that we got with our two night package. Room - great, comfortable, well appointed and excellent shower. Ours had a small fridge which was handy but we were told not all rooms have them. Service - polite and efficient on the whole, some staff warmer than others. Hotel - lovely surroundings, some updating and decorating required in various places inside and some aspects of our room could have been a bit cleaner (window sill was dirty and some areas were really dusty). Spa - some staff on reception were a bit mono-syllabic but Kerry was really lovely and our treatments and both the therapists we had were excellent. Pool area - pretty good (water not overly warm but great for swimming) but a shame the steam room was out of order and there’s no jacuzzi (note that this is a 4 not 5 star hotel after all). Food - the breakfast was good (although being told I’d have to wait 10 mins for a veggie sausage to be cooked especially for me is disappointing - even Travelodge provide veggie sausages as standard). The food we had on the first night in the restaurant was very underwhelming - lacking in flavour and both my dishes were missing elements or were really not as described on the menu. If we had been paying for it separately (it was part of our package) I would definitely have complained. We decided to eat in Iron Bridge on the second night as did not want to chance a repeat of night one. Overall good value for what we paid and what we got. Just wouldn’t eat there if I returned in the future.

Fantastic experience: I came to Telford for a round of golf and breakfast with some friends. The venue and food was outstanding. Having not played the course before we spoke to Ed in the pro shop, he was very well spoken and polite and gave us some ‘insider knowledge’. The course was well maintained albeit slightly easy for a low handicapper like myself. We will be back to crush the course again.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful stay. The staff were very attentive in particular the golf manager Matt. The golf course was in fantastic condition, greens in particular excellent.

Negative experience: Booked a Fri-Sun stay here, but we ended up checking out after one night because we’re in that odd minority that enjoys this little thing called sleep. Firstly the staff were all nice and friendly. Unfortunately, the place seems to attract (at least it did the day we were there) a herd of loud, cackling guests who roam the halls like it’s a scavenger hunt for the bar, as opposed to embracing even a whisper of polite, indoor voices. The corridors themselves are a kind of funhouse labyrinth—minus the fun. As if pleading with people to hush up wasn’t a joy in itself, the hotel doors also had a real flair for drama, making sure every close was a grand slam of noise. Just an absolute auditory symphony. Room size? Well we had a Deluxe Double and let’s just say when we added a child’s bed, it felt more like a competitive obstacle course. The view was admittedly nice, and the bed? Super comfy! But thanks to the endless racket from what seems to be their target demographic of ‘human foghorns,’ this place is basically a no-go zone for families with wee ones. And the hotel itself? Tired and dated in many parts, certainly the entrance / reception foyer and corridors, like a Tinder profile that looked promising until you meet it in person. The area for Breakfast however was modern and nice however. Breakfast itself was decent, good options for all, although the sausage was like a school canteen one and could be improved. The pool and spa was ‘ok’. Rather dated again, but fine to nip in and have a break, though the Mrs felt the pool was far too cold, contrary to my opinion. If you’re after an actual “spa break” though, this isn’t the place for you and you’ll feel let down in that respect. Some good parts here in fairness. If you’re stopping with your mates to do some golf and have a laugh, it’s great. For a quieter young family stay however you may be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: It is a great spa and has great resources such as a gym, spa, golfing range and an 18 hole course with a bar to go and buy drinks from after. The swimming pool has times when kids can go so if you go outside of them hours you can go for a peaceful swim without kids interrupting. They have a sauna, heat up chairs and a steam room.

Fantastic experience: We like somewhere we can swim. Everywhere was very clean. Spa staff were helpful. Breakfast was relaxing with friendly staff. They even went out of their way to help a couple after breakfast service had finished.

Positive experience: Lovely location and I go stay there several times a year when attending works training. I've enjoyed the gym, pool and spa before. This time the room had a lovely view but was very dusty and had not been deep cleaned and my eyes were swollen for the 4 days I stayed there. They did dust the skirtings after I complained but it was still dusty inside the cupboard, on the bedside cabinet frame and on bathroom door frame. Others in our group had cobwebs and mouldy shower seals in their rooms in the same wing. Major deep clean once a week is desperately needed and they should use bleach to remove mould stains. Just after covid it was a lot cleaner. I will be back and hopefully it will be better next time.

Positive experience: **Review for The Telford Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort** I recently stayed at The Telford Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort, which is rated as a 4-star hotel, but I found the experience to be quite underwhelming. With a price of around £125 per night, I expected more in terms of quality and attention to detail. The room was clean and comfortable, but it lacked some basic amenities you would anticipate from a hotel of this rating. Simple things like napkins on the bedside table or a full set of bathroom essentials were missing, which was surprising for a 4-star establishment. These small touches can make a significant difference, and their absence was disappointing. The service was okay—the staff were polite and helpful when approached, but nothing about it stood out as exceptional. It felt very average, which didn't align with the hotel's star rating. Overall, while my stay was pleasant enough, it didn’t quite meet the 4-star standard. For the price, I expected a bit more in terms of amenities and service quality.

Positive experience: I did not stay at the hotel. I was extremely disappointed with the golf course. It started with the local rules on the card have not been updated from before 2019 and refer to rule numbers that no longer exist. The card states the practice ground is out of bounds but it is marked as a no play penalty area. None of the penalty areas are marked, in places you can see where a line has been burnt in to the grass but no coloured lines or stakes. It is a shame that a good challenging golf course was so badly marked for the sake of a few cans of spray paint. With regard to the information on the card, there is no excuse for it not to be up-to-date.

Fantastic experience: We had a lovely night. The rooms were really nice, clean, quiet and very comfortable. The spa and pool were lovely until the children descended, so make sure you visit in the set non-children hours if you'd like less screaming. The steamroom wasn't steamy or warm enough during our visit, but the Sauna was very large and hot hot. We had 2 dogs and they were fine everywhere, £25 cleaning fee which is about standard now, but might seem a bit steep for only one dog. We wanted to walk to Iron Bridge along the river, but the path from the hotel is overgrown and full of stinging nettles. It's a nice walk, but would recommend the free parking at the bottom of the hill instead, and completing the loop on both sides of the river.

Positive experience: This review is more so about the spa/pool area and the children's swimming times, I love bringing my daughter, it's an excellent pool... It's other users that let it down We use the family room to change Got there today (26th august) A family were already in the room and had locked the door... Looked very annoyed when I knocked and walked in after they unlocked it. Is it not a communal changing area? Like the ladies/gents or am I missing something? To be told "we were here first".... Very entitled people. Constantly crossing across other people's swim lanes, having spoke to a couple of the people swimming after they had left They weren't impressed at the fact they had to constantly swerve round them. The staff/facilities are very inviting. A very small minority of people using the facilities are not. Just a friendly reminder if you come across this review We all pay to be here and use the same facility's as you.

Fantastic experience: Visited this hotel to use the spa facilities only. I had received a Red Letter Day Ultimate Spa Day, which I could use here. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The treatments were excellent. Lunch which was also included was delicious and served in The Gorge Restaurant, which looked over the golf course. The Spa was clean, well decorated and presented. Facilities were excellent, even hairdryers in the changing room. The whole experience was amazing and delighted I chose this hotel to use my voucher.

Fantastic experience: Great place to stay, staff superb, golf course was ok for price bracket

Negative experience: Stayed here for 4 nights as part of a coach tour, one day the porridge at breakfast would be hot and the next day it would be cold so I ended up having granola instead, also some of the evening meals appear to have been cooked earlier and reheated which made the meat tough and dry, quite a few people on the coach party left their meal partly uneaten due to this. The temperature of the water in the rooms bathroom sink was nearly cold, when I told reception about it I was told that it should be lukewarm so people couldn't scold themselves, this didn't add up because the shower was hot so why wouldn't you be able to scold yourself there. I ended up putting hot water from the kettle in the sink each morning to get a decent temperature (also received a tut tut from the person standing behind the receptionist) other people also complained to reception about this and were given the same excuse which they thought was ridiculous.

Positive experience: Rooms are fairly small and basic, started off in a deluxe double, and there was about a foot of space around the bed. I needed to step out of the way to allow my partner to pass. Went down for dinner, and it looked like they were catering for a coach party on a tour. I ordered a glutenfree gammon and chips. Well that was fun, the chips were frozen oven fries, and burnt, the egg was OK, but the gammon....... it was a pork chop with a burnt piece of pineapple on it. I complained, after a long wait I was told that is what came in the packet and it was gammon photo attached. I was treated like I was a waste of space and who was I to complain. Went to the duty manager, she was great wiped out the food bill, upgraded our room to a superior one with complimentary mini bar and working aircon. Sort of made up for the other chap and his condescending attitude.

Negative experience: Pool is closed because of a “ph issue”, but steam room also off, and relax spa chairs also off. No shower gel in spa showers (still needed for after sauna). No towels given. Food poor. Food, don’t. Drive out and eat elsewhere. Pizza was terrible. Like tomato purée spread on bread, weird cheese. Very gluey taste. Affogato was cheep ice cream scooped in a bowl and a shot of coffee served separately.

Positive experience: Pleasant and clean hotel with excellent staff. We spent a couple of nights in room 216 There's no frills here, no minibar, there's a soap dispenser in the bathroom and another in the shower although the one in our shower was empty throughout our stay. They're fixed to the wall so you won't be taking any little bottles back home for the kids. The bed was a bit creaky! In fact it was impossible to get out of bed without waking your other half. Wifey wasn't too keen on the mattress or the pillows (she never usually complains) but it was fine for me. Food in the restaurant and the golf bar was very good and well cooked and served, breakfast lots of choice and plenty of it. Plenty of parking too with a few charge points, none of which were in use during our stay. We would come here again hopefully the beds in the other rooms are better.

Positive experience: Why not just put your gym membership prices online it’s annoying you have to email or call other than that great place… Appreciate the reply, I look all around when I come to renew every 12 months but if theres no price online then it’s embarrassing keep coming back to enquire so I just don’t anymore, I can imagine how many other people feel the same…

Positive experience: Golf weekend. Course in excellent condition except for bunkers. Room very comfortable. Staff friendly. Decent practice facilities. Bout £10 for taxi to Telford and Ironbridge. Drinks expensive in hotel as were the £40 buggies!

Positive experience: I have stayed at this hotel many times both with my family and on my own. The breakfast is outstanding. A fantastic selection of hot and cold buffet items with some items cooked to order such as the vegetarian sausages. Gluten free is also available. All breakfast staff are excellent and Cathy in particular is so welcoming and friendly. Reception staff are very efficient and very friendly. There are EV points for those with electric cars which is really handy in this area. If bringing your children the pool is a bonus (children swim times apply).

Negative experience: Spa manager or should I say therapist, middle aged woman.. very rude, ignorant and unhelpful.. made every excuse to ignore us, pretended she was looking at a screen and gave one word answers to fob us off also took the booking off the screen just to tell us there were no more available slots.. avoid this place if you want to go somewhere to for a nice experience and avoid prejudice Put us in the most uncomfortable rooms too on the first day and would not help, second day hotel staff were more helpful

Fantastic experience: A lovely hotel. Good food. The spa was busy in the afternoon so worth heading there early.

Negative experience: Overall, it was a decent experience, but I was extremely dissatisfied with the general manager, whose name I believe is Jamie. I found him to be rude and disrespectful.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved it. Our room was spacious with all the amenities you could need. We were welcomed by a lovely lady on the reception called kat who was extremely helpful and friendly. Can't wait to stay here again

Fantastic experience: We have just come home after staying two nights at the hotel and would just like to say how much of a lovely time we had. We checked in on Sunday around 4.30- 5pm we were met by a really friendly lady called Makita on reception who was very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us, she was then joined by her colleague who’s name unfortunately we cannot remember but was equally lovely. The hotel is set in a lovely location and the staff are really helpful, breakfast was delicious and the staff who run the breakfast service, cater to your every need and nothing is too much trouble. Would stay again? Absolutely. Thank you for my our little break so good!

Fantastic experience: Excellent hotel, but breakfast awful, sausages rubber, bacon cold, hash browns awful, so hard could not be eaten. So I gave it to my dog who struggled to eat them. Evening meal Brill. , have stayed at Q hotels numerous times, that was rhe worst breakfast. Needs looking at .

Fantastic experience: Stayed the weekend for a golf trip. Played here 3 weeks ago and the course had been battered from the rain. This weekend it was beautiful. Well done to the team in getting it to this condition in such short space of time. Will definitely be going back

Negative experience: Two times in a row, the rooms have had plumbing issues. House keeping don't check and by the time residents are checked in, maintenance have gone home. By the time you've managed to contact reception, and they have moved you to another room, that's an hour of your life wasted. Not really the kind of service you'd expect for this standard of hotel.

Positive experience: My husband booked us in for a 2 night spa break for my 60th birthday. The hotel and spa staff were excellent. On arrival I had a welcome birthday greeting on the bed with balloons. In the restaurant I was treated to a special birthday drink and the staff service was excellent. The next day we went to our spa treatments again amazing service and I felt absolutely relaxed. However, when we arrived at the pub/tea room for cream tea the lady who came to serve us made us feel we were an inconvenience. She initially shoved us on a table on the bar it was small and dirty. We asked if we could sit in the tea area? She said we could sit on the sofas. My husband asked if we could sit at the table. We felt she didn't like us. She bought my husbands tea which was weak and tasteless. My coffee arrived 5 minutes later. When the scornes arrived she just put it on the table and walked away. I had to go back to the bar area and waited for her attention as she was serving customers and ask for butter? Also there were no serviettes and the table was not laid. The scornes were brittle and crumbled. She tried to serve us more drinks but at that point we decided to leave. Its ashame the standards are not the same as the hotel. It just spoied my experience and my special birthday. I would recommend the spa & Hotel but not the tea!

Negative experience: Unfortunately the health club have decided to rent out to pool to Aqua babies classes on Friday Saturday and Sunday so you can not relax or use the changing rooms as they are full of mothers and babies leaving nappies and food every where leaving no room to change or shower and the 17 babies and parents and the instructor bellowing sing songs non stop from 8.30-12 and 3-6 . Shocking

Positive experience: I was only there for a day conference, so can't comment on room or food but very surprised to only find two disabled parking bays. Which were already full, but they did say it was ok to park next to the bays on the road displaying my blue badge.

Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely stunning the rooms and the service and we took our dog and we where made to feel very welcomed, what not to like about a spa a swim and beautiful surroundings and not to forget the Breakfast, AMAZING. Iron bridge and lots to see and do, we will be back.

Fantastic experience: Very good and well furnished hotel. Had a great stay, lovely service and helpful staff. Great rooms, good size, well decorated, great view from my room. Restaurant food and breakfast was superb, very tasty food. An too top it off the spa and gym was fantastic, one of the best hotel gyms I've found. An the spa was very relaxing, clean and good pool, sauna, steam room etc. Only part didn't get round too was the golf, so couldn't comment. Great stay, would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed our overnight stay. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The leisure centre is very well equipped and has a good swimming pool plus sauna and steam room. We booked a deal that included dinner, and the food was excellently prepared. You can easilywalk to the Blists Hill Museum in around d one mile, if you like. We would return to this hotel.

Positive experience: Went for an evening meal so could not see what the location was like and did not stay in the room. Service in the dining was friendly and considering their main oven was broken, the chefs did very well with the meal which was delivered efficiently and tasted good. Although The reception area was open and welcoming, I felt the walk to and the dining area was a little dated and needed a bit of modernizing and brightening up.

Fantastic experience: We had our golf society day there last year and the course was in fabulous condition. The golf shop staff were very friendly and ensured our day run smoothly. Thanks Peter Tyson for providing and delivering the NTP markers to all greens. We stayed for drinks and bar food after and the setting on the patio was delightful. Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic stay, lobby staff were all very friendly and the golf course was fantastic even with the poor weather we’ve had. Had a meal on site and it was fantastic.

Positive experience: Clean, spacious hotel with golf and spa. Stayed two nights whilst visiting friends. Lovely breakfast, friendly service. The bar area was pleasant but very quiet... We couldn't find the TV to watch the rugby, but TV in room was large, so still enjoyed the match. They sell Aspall on tap...me happy.

Positive experience: Lovely spa day 27th Jan 2024 , and well worth the money although was not impressed with the manager of the spa for that day, very abrupt and unprofessional. On arrival, the manager asked for payment and I said it was already paid, instead of looking on her system she expected me to look for proof of payment, which would have gone into my treatment time had I not said ill find it after. She then approached me as soon as I came out of my treatment to which I said ill would come to her after I was dressed. Then later in the day she came into the relaxation room and turned the lights on!! said she had found the "voucher" and wanted to know what I wanted for lunch. The manager was relentless ruined the tranquil feeling of the day, she should not be in front of the house. On a positive note Julez the lady in the restaurant was lovely :)

Fantastic experience: We stayed here when visiting the Telford International Centre. We were upgraded on arrival! Lovely clean room, great swimming pool and facilities. Super lovely, helpful, friendly lady on reception on the evening of our stay(sorry can't recall her name). Would stay again on my next visit. Would have made my visit perfect if there had been a Yorkshire pudding with my roast beef :-)

Fantastic experience: We stayed with our group for one night and we absolutely LOVED this place… The service was fantastic, at dinner the young man in charge made sure all the allergies were taken onboard and the whole evening was a success… In the morning everyone (special mention to Cathy!) was on the ball and we had a fab brekkie. All the facilities were also offered to us… It was a great stay and I would highly recommend this place!

Positive experience: Good hotel, spacious and clean room. Very close to Ironbridge, although all the museums were closed when we visited in January- still lovely to walk around) Friendly staff. We had the dinner bed and breakfast deal and it was very good value for the price. Dog friendly (can eat in the bar with the dog) and EV chargers including a couple of fast ones (although the morning we left at least 2 charger spaces were being taken up by non electric vehicles!)

Fantastic experience: Me and my partner chose this hotel to say I do and the venue was perfect. They were more than happy to accommodate our theme and ensured everything went smoothly. Jamie was ensured everything went to plan. We plan to return for our anniversary next year.

Positive experience: Visited on spa day deal. First impressions were that areas of the spa were in need of updating. There was peeling paint on the ceilings, evidence of water leaks on walls and ceilings. In the ladies changing more than half of the lockers didn't work, the water remover for costumes was missing, there was no shower gel in the showers and was generally dirty. The pool was nice although it stopped being heated at lunchtime so became quite cool. There were two heated loungers which were nice although again, were stopped being heated at lunch time making them pointless. There were plenty of loungers around the pool although some were broken. There were no bins around the pool so there were lots of empty paper cups just left on the floor. The spa treatments were very nice and couldn't fault them. The lunch was fine. Not a great amount of choice but sufficient for the day. Water was available but no hot drinks unless purchased from the bar. Overall, I've been on a few spa days and this is one I wouldn't return to. The facilities weren't the best and the staff weren't the most professional. Lion Quays half an hour away is much nicer and better value.

Fantastic experience: My husband bought us a night away in this hotel as a treat very warm welcome from staff on arrival bar area very clean drinks reasonably priced. We both had a spa treatment robes were provided and staff welcoming and explained fully what they were doing very relaxing. Had a meal booked in the restaurant food was delicious was served quickly and piping hot. Breakfast in the morning was a buffet style with a huge amount of choice for hot or more healthy pptiondmWould recommend a stay here the views are also stunning

Fantastic experience: I have recently visited the hotel on business and everything was fantastic. Having had a good chat with Matt in the golf shop I have decided to book our annual golf break at telford. The hotel has a wonderful feel, highly recommended.

Positive experience: It was awesome my mother was so calmed by the spa. However I did have one issue the pasta at the restaurant was very undercooked. It was a great trip nevertheless. Oh yeah one more thing is that they need like a map because the signs were hard to follow. Other than that it was amazing.

Positive experience: Didn't stay or eat here as I was just dropping off 2 people + boot full of equipment for a conference. Very helpful lady in reception opened a fire door for us, so it was easier and a shorter journey to unload the equipment. I managed a free coffee from the delegates room before continuing my journey

Positive experience: Mixed reactions to be honest, fantastic staff very welcoming and helpful. The hotel has free parking with easy access. Nice water features on arrival. The room we're clean but not sparkling. The room looked a little dated. Nice big TV on the wall but needs to be a little higher, no glasses, tea/coffee tray not impressive, no hot chocolate or cookies/Biscuits. So I would rate this hotel 7/10.

Fantastic experience: It's really a lovely place and friendly staff. In the morning, at the breakfast, the two ladies, Cathy and Sue, are amazing, with their lovely smile getting everything ready

Negative experience: The steam room, sauna and pool are really nice. The Gym itself is small and stuffy. Was not impressed with the gym at all. I would pay to visit the steam room, sauna and pool if it were priced well but sadly its not. Separate memberships would be great splitting the unimpressive gym from the really nice steam room, sauna and pool would be great.

Positive experience: Spa day. Staff were friendly but had to wait ages in restaurant/pub to be served and expensive. Massage was great but the relaxation room was noisy due to conference room above so didn't stay in there. Steam room was broken. Pool area was good buy subdued lighting meant you couldn't read. I just found it very limited to spend more than a couple of hours there so I wouldn't return on that basis.

Fantastic experience: My friend and I went for a Spa break at the hotel. The room we stayed in was fantastic, it overlooked the golf course and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. The room and bathroom was spotlessly clean. Service again excellent in the hotel, reception, dining room and spa. The spa treatments were very good and staff very courteous. Would definitely recommend both hotel and spa. Thankyou to everyone for a fabulous break.

Fantastic experience: Great location and stay. Nice restaurant and golf course, beautiful views!! Finding the room is a little confusing, missing a lift/elevator when traveling with lots of luggage.

Positive experience: Marta was very helpful when I arrived late last night and upgraded me to a better room. Breakfast was good. Spa is nice but steam room not working and sauna wasn’t hot. Other than that hotel was nice. Rooms could do with some investment. Lots of marks and damage to walls and carpets

Negative experience: Arrived at the spa today for my boyfriends birthday , the lady on reception said they didn’t have any robes , she then said I’ll come and find you if we do, she never did. The whole part of going to a spa is to experience putting on a robe and feeling comfortable. I had to sit in my wet swimsuit and towel to eat lunch. At lunch we ordered sourdough bread with pepperoni it was just to slices of pepperoni pizza. The treatment and the spa itself are really nice. However we were really disappointed and dissatisfied with the level of service.

Fantastic experience: This review is in relation to the spa treatments I received on Saturday 7th October by my therapist Beth. Fantastic experience: Been here for a wedding, lovely venue, friendly staff, beautiful views. Very clean and picture perfect, the views from the garden are just beautiful to watch a sunset. If you get married here you won't be disappointed but it's also a lovely little local to stop for a drink.

Positive experience: The best thing about this place are the staff. They are so helpful and friendly. It was a real pleasure. The hotel, restaurant, and rooms are clean and well appointed. The food in both the restaurant and the bar was good or better. The golf course was reasonably well maintained and enjoyable to play (I am a very long term occasional player). An only minor comment would be the tee signage could have been a bit better but the scorecard was clear enough to help. The spa had suitably ambient lighting and an adequate amount of seating. I used the sauna which was very nice. What wasn't so pleasant was that during the time when children were not allowed in the pool, childrens' swimming lessons were going on. I thought that they would end when children were not allowed in the pool but they continued for at least an hour. They weren't any louder than they needed to be but hardly the relaxing spa weekend vibe. That's what cost the fifth star.

Fantastic experience: Loved my experience. Booked a massage and afternoon tea, access to the sauna, steam room, swimming pool and other leisure facilities too. Complimentary robe and towel, free access to showers and shower gel, hair dryers available too. Massage was lovely, received the scalp, shoulder and neck massage. 25 minutes of this and the lady was splendid, professional and friendly. Calming atmosphere. Afternoon tea and cakes were lovely. Very friendly staff for my solo visit today, plenty of tea, good selection of cakes and sandwiches presented.

Fantastic experience: Visited today for a spa day experience and were very impressed with the staff and the service. After booking throigh the q central office, we realised the booking was incorrect during a courtesy call the day before arrival, Kerry the manager endeavoured to put this right at that time, which we were grateful for. When we arrived to the venue unfortunately the booking was still incorrect, no problem though Gina, Kerry and a young girl on reception (cannot remember her name, sorry) did everything in their power to correct it, even though they were incredibly busy dealing with all the clients there. The day thereafter was incredibly relaxing, the facial and the massage I had were incredible, Gina truly is talented and the lady that did my facial (again so sorry I forgot her name) left me glowing. My partner was very impressed to, he was looking into booking again straight after. While floating on cloud nine after our treatments, the afternoon tea was much needed and delicious The staff again were, friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The only one niggle I have is the pool was closed due to technical difficulties (couldn't be helped). In all fairness it didn't impact the day too much as we had been pre warned that adult and children's swimming lessons would be taking place throughout the day, so had not expected to spend too much time by the pool. The sauna and steam room were still in use and we were allowed to relax on the recliners by the pool so it turned out to be an extremely relaxing day. Positive experience: Going to be my go to when travelling for work as our site is 15 mins away by car. Lovely dining experience and catered for my gluten intolerance without fuss. Service impeccable, big shout out to Lauren who served us at dinner and recommended the sea bass.

Fantastic experience: Excellent parkland golf course. Greens are fast & in great condition. Some tree lined fairways, so accuracy is important. Sandy bunkers but some of the edges were a little bit untidy. A lot of varied holes. Great value for money.

Positive experience: Located in fairly rough area of Telford which surprised me but once you enter the entrance roadway things begin to improve. Plenty of car parking spaces. They are very strict with "access to room times". Definitely not before 3pm, but they did allow us to store the cases whilst we went off the the RAF Cosford Museum until the rooms were ready. Service is very good. Drinks in the bar are a bit pricey. £4.25 for a halfpint of orange and lemonade, especially as they use a very cheap orange juice, is a bit of a bite We didn't eat there as we had already picked out two nearby restaurants (reviewed elsewhere). The room was adequate, a bit small from my previous experience of a "luxury double" especially the bijou bathroom. Other than the size though the bathroom facilities were excellent with instant hot water from a strong walk-in "power" shower. There were little bits and pieces that let the room down such as a broken shelf in the wardrobe, the bathroom door which with a coat of paint would have earned it 5 stars. Bed was a bit "lumpy" but OK. Wife and daughter did the spa bit (poorly organised), which included free use of pool and rest area, while the men did the golf (reviewed elsewhere). Great views from the room over the Welsh mountains. Just to add a couple of real positives: The breakfasts are superb, both hot and cold versions. None of this "streaky" bacon you get at a lot of places. Full bodied back bacon of excellent quality. Would have liked to see a bit of cheese for my toast though (if it was there I missed it). The pastries (croissants etc) were lovely and fresh both days. We were allowed to take a couple on to rhe golf course with us as well. Unlimited hot and cold drinks. Overall, I would recommend the hotel and would return if visiting the area, but probably only if I could get a special (cheaper) deal rather than the full price we paid, as it is a great place to use as a base for travelling around. Lovely gardens to sit out in with a drink or a coffer and watch the golfers come up the 18th.

Fantastic experience: Lovely stay in this spa and golf hotel with free use of pool and sauna. Excellent massage and facial. Breakfasts were amazing with the freshest pastries I've ever had, plus delicious buffet fry up! 10 minutes drive from Ironbridge and Telford; lots to do round here! Friendly, helpful staff too!

Positive experience: First of all I don’t understand how they are a 4star hotel! The only reason I booked a night. Secondly it wasn’t just me with a bad experience it was even my friend who stayed there that night and had a bad experience. I requested to check in at 12 noon “early check in” as I and my family had to get ready for my nieces wedding which was in the evening in Telford. And was happy to pay extra £25, but it never got accepted. I travelled 3 hours to Telford and then came at the hotel at 14.30 and room was not ready and been told it should be ready very soon (before 3pm) and It was 3.10pm and room was still not ready! I then had to go to the reception and ask if room was ready yet. As I am supposed to be checking in 3pm? It took them another 5 minutes to give me my room key (cards). I then went into the room and it wasn’t as I had booked I was missing my kids beds and a cot. That took another 30 minutes. Then it was so hot in the room and the air conditioning wasn’t working had to let the housekeepers and reception know. When I came back at night from the wedding air conditioning was still not fixed or replaced. I then called reception and got a fan in replacement.

Fantastic experience: We stayed one night, a sunday and used it as a base to explore the area, we were impressed with how friendly the staff where from reception to chambermaid to waitresses. All spoke and had a friendly smile and often a little joke. We opted to have full English and we pleased with the choice abd quality of the food. Our room was spotlessly clean spacious abd comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Lovely hotel. Grounds wete great, albeit general housekeeping around the outside seating area lacked care and attention We ate from the bar menu and food was excellent. A bit on the pricier scale, but worth the cost due to the quality of cuisine.

Fantastic experience: Stayed here in July for 2 nights, will most definitely be staying again. On our arrival at 21.30 we were warmly welcome by the receptionist who took time to enquire about our journey our stay. Our room 216 was facing out over the valley and had a wonderful view, also nice and quiet. Bed and bathroom all nice and clean. We had a bar meal of burgers and fries, which was perfect. Breakfast was busy and the food good.

Fantastic experience: I am impressed. There is not a single thing that was negative. Rooms are big, clean. They are looking nice inside. There is everything that could be needed in the room. Corridors are looking nice and clean. It's great that there was extra swimming pool and spa with no extra cost. There also were clean. Breakfast was fresh and nice. What I also liked is that when I ask for breakfast for my husband to take away l- there was no problem with that. And I have to say- I LOVE they rooms keys (those cards are amazing- they wood cards- great idea. Outside is so green and nice looking. If we will visit Telford again I will definitely take that hotel. 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: Really nice hotel, great golf course and good bars. Food is good in all restaurants and bars and there is a fabulous pool and spa area. Staff are all friendly and helpful. The views out of the main restaurant windows are amazing, all the way to Ironbridge

Negative experience: Nice area,just a shame it was let down by a bunch of golf yobs, shouting and swearing,very drunk and being so loud you couldn't have a normal conversation. Cost me a lot of money to stay one-night I didn't expect this sort of behaviour. Poor response from management, stating this was beyond their control. I would be mindful in that case bringing young adults or children to this venue if this is what they will experience.

Positive experience: Location was absolutely gorgeous! Perfect views and lovely weather to top it off. Food was on the expensive side around £30 for a steak….didn’t see what they hype was about. Rooms were clean and housekeeping was fantastic! Not a lot to do won’t lie, the spa is lovely and the swimming pool was beautiful. So refreshing and peaceful, I would love to come here again.
