Negative experience: If you are visiting the area and want a workout-dont bother. £8.70 and they insist on a gym induction regardless of experience, and then dont have any staff to do one anyway.

Fantastic experience: Stopped for breakfast with a few friends out on our motorbikes. Breakfast was very well cooked. Young staff were very polite, friendly and very efficient. We arrived a couple of minutes after breakfast was stopped being served but the still made it available to us. Would highly recommend. And Thank you for making our short stay so enjoyable. Negative experience: Terrible experience. A member of staff called Holly ate my kids lunch whilst he was there on a holiday club. The only choice available was a jacket potato, he said he didn't like it so she sat there and ate it in front of him and his brothers. She lied to her boss when asked about this, even though 3 people watched her do it. When we complained her boss Mike (duty manager) sided with her, didn't believe us and then cancelled the remainder of the days club for our kids. I would advise everyone avoid this place as I question their ethics and honesty. There are other choices available, just avoid this place. If you've had a bad experience I would advise you also leave an appropriate review.

Fantastic experience: Great swimming experience for the kids and us. Friendly greeting. Fair price. Clean stations. Family dressing. Large pool. Nice and warm temperature of the water. Lifeguards appeared to pay verge good attention to all swimmers. Will be am for more.

Fantastic experience: I'm not worry but go there once a week to meet up with friend in the cafe restaurant upstairs. The car park is huge, entrance to the sportscentre is well maintained and disabled friendly. There is a lift and struts to the first floor The food and drinks menu is substantial and if you've never tried their cakes then you've not lived. It's got to be done at least once in your lifetime, I guarantee you won't be disappointed with the choice or taste

Fantastic experience: This was our first visit here whilst visiting family nearby to go swimming. We had a wonderful time and were thoroughly impressed with the centre. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful, the pool and changing rooms great and lifeguard also friendly and helpful. Cafe was outstanding with superb food.

Fantastic experience: Clean good service provided

Negative experience: Paid £20 for the sake of 20 minutes swimming because the useless life guards allowed a bunch of teenagers to take over the pool. My younger children just wanted to practice their swimming & diving but kept almost getting hit by these older boys who were continuously back flipping and charging into the pool, swearing and just being inconsiderate and disrespectful.

Positive experience: Good place for an indoor swim when visiting nearby Swanage. Large and reasonably warm pool. Friendly staff, answer phone enquiries promptly. Note: changing rooms are 'school style' Male & Female separate, but one large changing area; no cubicles. £2 coin required for lockers.

Fantastic experience: I visited the over 50s club there, which is held on Thursdays from 10 to 12. Great place to go. Options of chatting, playing board games, table tennis and Poole. Lovely place to attend and Alan who runs it is great.

Negative experience: A very run down place, no mother and baby pool so have to swim in same pool as nappy wearing babies, no windows or nice view, gaps on the toilet doors, have to keep pressing a button to keep the shower working which means rinsing hair is impossible because the button is behind you, nowhere to hang shower gel etc, had to try approx 7 lockers before found one that worked. The place is archaic.

Positive experience: Played on the outdoor AstroTurf but didn't go indoors.

Positive experience: Ordinarily a very well run centre with experienced and polite staff. However these are anything but ordinary times. Having missed a lot of swimming over the past 18 months I was looking forward to getting back to a regular routine. But it seems from the new timetable that lane swimming has almost disappeared with only a limited number of times available. Not sure who or what is to blame but I hope public opinion will sway the concensus .

Fantastic experience: Love it here. Always really great activities for the kids during the holidays. We met friends for breakfast in the All Stars bar which is really lovely decorated and a nice menu. The homemade cakes looked epic! Our boys had great fun in a Nerf Wars Battle and previously learning Archery!

Fantastic experience: The Purbeck Sports Centre Cafe is truly a little hidden gem. We ended up here by mistake and decided to give it a try. The menu has pizzas, burgers and other pub grub type eats. I went for the special of the day, Hunters Chicken Burger with curly fries and onion rings. I wasn't expecting the plate that arrived! It looked great and tasted as good as it looked.

Fantastic experience: We stopped off here whilst on our campervan holiday as our kids wanted to go to a swimming pool. All the staff were lovely and the centre was clean and well equipped. Our kids also enjoyed half an hour play in the small soft play. The cafe bar was very pleasant to spend an hour after swimming. Very impressed with this leisure centre.

Positive experience: The tiles on the upper terrace are precarious as you make your way across to the stairs to leave the upper level. Almost dangerous, I feel someone will trip and fall and probably take the sports centre to the cleaners with a claim.

Negative experience: I was sent there for a GP Referral from my doctor for my mental health. I had a miss call so called back and got answered just a blur of words from a receptionist, I ask who it was and she starts to say please do not shout and puts the phone down on me. I then speak a manager who thinks it was a laughing matter when I asked for both her and the receptionist name so I could make a complaint, by this time my mental health had taken over and I was wreck so had to end the call. Absolutly disgusting behaviour from a gym which is meant to support the NHS

Fantastic experience: Had a brilliant night and the staff were amazing and very helpful. The only downfall as it was so hot most people were out on the decking which is very dangerous if you are wearing heals I got mine stuck several time causing both damage and injury so I had to go home and change into flats. Lots of ladies were struggling and one person broke their heal.

Positive experience: Good local council leisure centre. Pool can be cold at times and you can only go when the school. Not using. Gym is fit for purpose but memberships are not very competitive.

Fantastic experience: Great sports centre, it offers swimming, gymnastics, tennis and archery lessons, although to use the gym even though you're a gym member somewhere else they charge you a ridiculous induction fee this has put off every visitor who comes to see my wife and I in the last 5 years, it's like charging Arnold Schwarzenegger to teach him how to use the gym. Ridiculous.
