Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere and excellent cycle classes

Fantastic experience: Pretty decent space, probs difficult to use equipment when it's busy! Day passes are expense but at least they are available!

Positive experience: Not the cleanest, equipment isn't maintained well, there's some flexi tubs that hold the various attachments for the cables that are knackered and needed replacing for months, the yanga drinks machine frequently runs out (pay extra for this too). I'll probably join firehouse fitness once my month runs out.

Fantastic experience: What's not to like on a good work out

Negative experience: Facilities are OK, machines are in reasonable condition. You get what you pay for. Busy during peak hours, not unexpected. The dissappointing part is that the website makes it as unhelpful as possible to cancel your membership and have circular instructions which have no resolution other than contacting their team for help.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic gym. It has plenty of equipment and weights and is always clean. But beyond the standard you expect, PureGym Archer Road has an incredible team of trainers and gym managers, and they offer fantastic fitness classes. They all create an inclusive and fun atmosphere while leading you through a great work out. I would recommend them to anyone, whether you’re a regular gym user or thinking of joining one for the first time. Special shout out to Amelia H, a brilliantly supportive and motivating PT, and to Simon’s Monday night step classes - the best classes I’ve ever been to!

Fantastic experience: Very clean, well equipped chain gym, with clean facilities. Friendly staff - Emily giving us a tour was professional, knowledgeable and helpful going ABCD, to answer all the questions and explain the app functions. One of the best gyms in Sheffield.

Fantastic experience: I have to admit, I wasn't expecting much from Pure gym Millhouses. I'd heard it was full of kids and a bit of a mess with equipment not put away and faulty. However, I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. The gym was clean, full of a good mix of people and very well equipped. Only been a few times so far but will be carrying on visiting. Update: been going for 6 months now and I love this gym. Friendly people and generally very clean.

Fantastic experience: Levi Lee is one of the best additions to the Pure Gym team for a long time. He is everyone's idea of a trainer, going above & beyond to support & encourage everyone, regardless of ability. His classes are dynamic & extremely well-structured: he gives good clear instructions, which are very well paced. His lively & infectious personality make the classes fun & we never feel the time pass! Best of all, he turns the music down so that it doesn't throb in our eardrums & make our heads ache, which many others don't seem to take account of. It also means we can hear his clear instructions without the need for a microphone distorting the sound because it is turned up so loud. I wish others would take note of this. Well done, Levi! You tick all the boxes & a 5* review is very well deserved.

Fantastic experience: A very good PureGym, has a sensible ratio of strength: cardio equipment which means there's plenty to go round. Never been at peak times, but even when it is a little busy, there is always enough equipment.

Negative experience: Wanna be a gym rat? Here’s a pic of there waste outside. Really wanna trust this gym? Dirty stinky carpets, no aircon works properly and most members walk around the gym doing nothing on there phone? Pathetic gym, I pay almost £30 a month to go to a gym where there is hardly any aircon, broken dirty equipment that is rusting and water machine broken now for over 3 weeks. Why pay £4 a month extra for water and these fools can’t even fix it or provide it?

Negative experience: When I need to use the wight equipment people are sat at the wights equipment on their mobile phone and NOT DOING WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE DOING WHICH IS USING THE WIGHTS EQUIPMENT. THEREFORE, the people who are using the wight equipment ARE STOPPING OTHER PEOPLE FROM USING THE EQUIPMENT.

Positive experience: Would have given 4.5 if I could All the equipment was great, as you would expect, but the showers needed a clean

Fantastic experience: Excellent facility, just what I needed given that my life only leaves room for the gym at unsociable hours. The only thing I couldn't find on my first visit was a punch bag, but that is merely a preference.

Fantastic experience: For the price, hard to fault. Equipment is rarely out of order, availability is good, atmosphere is welcoming.

Positive experience: Very friendly gym. I went quite early so not many people around. All equipment I needed was available. There was, however, a strong toilet odour by the assisted dip machine on the cardio floor a d I ended up not using it because it was just too strong. Also the showers could have done with a clean. Overall, I enjoyed the experience.

Fantastic experience: Good gym, friendly atmosphere, and actually people tidy and out their weights away unlike any other pure gym I have been at. Even at peak times you can get on to things as well.

Fantastic experience: Fab, friendly gym with great atmosphere and regular members. Amazing classes such as Step and Spin! Very hard working managers that put a lot of time and effort into making the gym the best it can be for it's members!

Negative experience: Hope the 1 star gets your attention. Your PTs shouldn't be wearing rainbow coloured propaganda. Especially while taking spinning classes. It is inappropriate and does nobody any good - quite the opposite. Cleaning standards could be improved. Finally and most importantly for me, please fix the Stages bike with the computer head unit. This unit hasn't even been turning on for nearly a year. This is a high quality bit of equipment that is being wasted. I have raised the issue numerous times. I also have no idea where any 'suggestion box' is. You must hide it?

Negative experience: Giving it 2 stars just for the comedy factor of watching a bunch of clowns "train" whilst filming each other and a certain PT literally lurching around every young female. You're going far lad with the cap backwards lounging on the side... image goes a long way...

Negative experience: I went for a workout and it was really quiet and dull. Definately didn't feel pumped and there was no staff around in the day (around 5pm Sunday). Much preferred the city centre one for warmth and motivation.

Negative experience: Would not recommend as busy nearly all the time and during peak periods you can not get on a single piece of equipment on the top floor as way too busy. I would recommend spending a bit more money to go to a more exclusive gym where you can actually use the equipment which you pay your membership for.

Positive experience: Struggling with finding simple things like close grip for cable machine, gym too busy, or may be oversubscribed. Quantity of Equipments need to keep up with the population.

Fantastic experience: Gym well equipped and maintained. Good range of classes with nice trainers. Trainers turn up on time - bug bear of mine vs another gym. Decent price and easy parking 24 hours. Good for all ages - no need to be intimidated.

Negative experience: This is a batterd gym. Only reason I'm still a member is that its 24hour. Definitely needs money spending on new equipment don't even have a calf machine. You just need to grind away. Personal trainers/staff are all good very helpful.

Fantastic experience: Chiara's class is great fun and she is a fab instructor. It's all about the peaches!

Negative experience: The gym is very expensive for the limited equipment and space, its extremely small and tight. When busy I've seen members be difficult with staff and its a very young crowd I feel this a bad thing. Staff are just ok although they do try and make the gym nice. But overall its a small gym, young obnoxious members and extremely busy all the time. Wouldn't recommend.
