Positive experience: I only use the gym so I cannot review the swimming pool but what I have experienced is the best junior gym in the area, Better than Seed hill, and Wavelengths ''Junior Gym'' Which is more of a shack than anything, Very Clean and mostly kind staff, Great cardio section. Could do with some new equipment something for the calves and a Chest supported back row would be nice

Negative experience: Where to start. The changing rooms for th gyms are badly dated, no separate showering (kind of looks like the boys lockers at high school in the 80s). But the worst experience I've had there is when a staff member twice tried to public shame me when I tried to make use of the active network scheme while another staff member smirked. Very expensive for the gyms in the area.

Fantastic experience: What can I say. The staff are amazing and really went out of their way to ensure that I knew how to use the equipment. The centre was lovely and clean. Well done.

Positive experience: I like the venue, but feel they could improve the lighting in the main hall, as playing badminton the ceiling lights are in the wrong position and would be better for all players in the lights are moved to the ceiling beams like they are in st.peters Burnley

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff. One in particular goes over and beyond for the customers. Her name is Georgina and she always greets you with a smile and even remembers our names. The classes are great and the instructors are really helpful and take time to get to know you. I am disabled and they give me easier ways to do the classes so I can join in. I really recommend signing up to Pendle leisure

Negative experience: Should coach their staff on how not to Lear at customers and slag about. Always drug dealers on the car park or someone asking if they can buy them!!! Run down and rusty slide . I wouldn't let my kids on it! Saw one person vomit in the pool .N I'm out..

Positive experience: It's a nice place with nice people

Fantastic experience: First time I've ever been to Pendle Leisure and I did get lost trying to find it, but that was my own fault for being thick! The staff on the desk were lovely and friendly and although I didn't see the whole centre, what I did see was clean, tidy and well maintained.

Negative experience: Lifeguards are very rude. Feel like im at school being observed all the time. Walking into showers and asking us to hurry up when there noone else waiting for the showers. Faces like smacked arsed. Don't look happy to be working there. Don't let children who are confident in swimming to swim without parents being right next to them. Prefer nelson wavelengths but unfortunately not convenient with the timetable

Negative experience: Its ok. Pool is often too cold and they dont let qualified and professional children who swim miles every week use the lanes to practice. That is poor.

Negative experience: Having been a member for a year ,I was firstly very happy . Sometime ago I had reason to raise a complaint about certain swimmers acting dangerously towards other swimmers.After a couple of weeks they seemed to have sorted the problem out.On August 15 they were busy I was asked to go in fast lane ,I said I didn't want to because one of the above mentioned swimmers was in that lane,The request was repeated so I did as was asked ,After 2lengths of swimming I was barged into by that said said swimmer,I raised the issue with Martin the manager,he took no notice ,I have problems reminded him of that and twice told him I felt he was not listening to me .An arguement ensued,I have now been banned because of that ,no action has been taken against the said swimmer. I have repeatedly stated that they were breaking health and safety criminal laws.I have reported this to Health and safety exec ,who have confirmed what I am saying and that I have been victimised.They are now involved .My advise is stay away the Management have promoted from within to personal friends ,hense this situation whereby they have ignored health and safety laws,and proving that they don't care about members health and safety. A month later and a complete cover up of the situation .Top brass won't talk to anyone over the situation ,and even Alison Goode has refused to take advice from external health and safety officers.I thankfully remain banned .This incident has put me against gyms ,I have actually decided they do more harm than good .Alison ,Quammer,Sam and Martin .You are all hypocrites of the first order ,please everyone do not be deceived by their personalities when you first meet them .They do not care about you or your rights , especially in health and safety Hot off the press this one,The reason they referred there final decision until after covid was because the 1person ,who they knew would be the right person of the public to ask stated that she was concerned about my behaviour.I would put it to them that the reason they did this because I had the audacity to raise a formal grievance against Martin ,and then Sam because she wouldn't do anything about that grievance.No hearing about that grievance has been done.. When you get to know people like these two faced creatures they really do discust.Alison Goode what sort of place do you run here . Question here.Has anybody noticed the failure of "THE OWNER" to make an answer on my review?? The OWNER,is obviously either to afraid to offer to talk to me ,or he/she knows that everything I have stated on here is true ,and simply has no answer??Three months on tomorrow and still no public apology or acceptance of how you treat your customers.Evil the lot of you

Fantastic experience: Great class and feel very safe

Fantastic experience: Just had a children’s inflatables party and it was absolutely brilliant. It was well organised and extremely well staffed with life guards. We hired the area next to the pool to serve food and I can honestly say it was one of the best parties my daughter has had. Thought it was excellent value for money and would definitely recommend. Thank you.

Positive experience: Great gym and pool, it's ashame the sports hall is being converted into a soft play area and dance studio, as colne has a lot of up and coming sporting talent in the area it does need money spending on the facility or maybe a brand new state of the art academy is what is needed for colne☺

Fantastic experience: The new gym is a big improvement. Achieved the impossible in making the room appear to be bigger than it was! Treadmills seem slower and weights appear to be heavier than before - but that's probably just me getting old!

Fantastic experience: Took my 9 year old and 12 year old daughters here so they could experience the outside 'Urban Altitude' activities. Kids loved it!! They opted for the low and high wire course plus the zip wire. £15/each. Took them about 90 minutes to complete the course. The staff doing the course came across really well!! Great to come across people with personalities doing this kind of job. They were really very good at talking to the kids and even better at putting them at ease if kids struggled to come over a fear - very impressed with that!!!! No doubt we will go again, I'm 99% sure my kids will ask to go again at some point. Well done Urban Altitude!!!!
