Fantastic experience: Best gym in Inverness, shame there isn't one in my home town as we have to drive 13 miles to use this one

Negative experience: The gym is very poor, little equipment for a gym that gets very crowded at peak times - you can be working in with 3 other people on bench press because there is only 1. Weights are strewn around everywhere like a treasure hunt. The gym recently increased prices to £31/month - this is one of the smallest puregym’s I’ve been to and it charges more than better ones in big cities. The only redeeming quality is that the benches are not cushioned like pillows as in other puregyms, but it’s still definitely a 1-star experience in Inverness. If you have the choice, choose another gym.

Positive experience: We planned to have a quick gym session in Inverness and found this hidden gem. The staff are very helpful as two of my friends are new to pure gym and he patiently guided them how to get their day pass online. The only improvement point is that I think there is a lack of back / rowing machines in this gym.

The convenience of being able to work out at any hour, whether early in the morning or late at night, is a significant advantage for those with busy schedules or varying work shifts. However, I must express some concern regarding the maintenance of the gym equipment. While the range of machines and weights is impressive, it’s become noticeable that some of the fitness equipment requires lubrication as they operate with resistance, making workouts less smooth than they should be. Additionally, other machines are in dire need of thorough maintenance to ensure they function correctly and safely. The commitment to providing a clean and well-equipped environment is evident, but the upkeep of the equipment is just as crucial for the overall experience. I hope that PureGym Inverness will address these maintenance issues promptly, as it would enhance the gym’s reputation and ensure that members like myself can continue to enjoy a top-notch fitness experience. It’s the attention to such details that can make a good gym truly great.

Positive experience: Much better gym than Kirkcaldy. More equipment and friendly staff

Positive experience: I have been a member for a long time some of the equipment is getting very tired and even though I have mentioned this to staff it still has not been repaired. The leg press has actually damaged the back of my leg with the burn caused by the tarnished seat.

Positive experience: Decent gym with good facilities, machines, weights, and workout areas. I would give the gym 5 stars if it was cleaned every night but it seems like they only have one cleaner that comes in a few nights a week. Cleaner that does attend does a brilliant job when there. Needs cleaning everynight as I've seen bins overflowing and the showers can be quite dirty at 2am when I have a late workout.

Positive experience: Has a wide range of equipment with ample free parking and easy access.24hr gym, which will suit those who work shifts.Freindly knowledgeable staff.

Negative experience: Way too busy, way too small, and for some reason you have to pay more compared to other PureGym locations around the UK, membership cancelled

Fantastic experience: Friendly helpful knowledgeable staff and trainers. Opening hours are 24/7 to suit every shift pattern. Equipment is easy to navigate and up to date. Fair range of classes. Pocket friendly. Plus free parking.

Positive experience: Quite happy with the gym - it seems quite new and therefore it is generally quite fresh with equipment that works. Certainly good value for money, especially with the 50% initial monthly discounted price. Perhaps one downside (which is important for me) is that the cleaning doesn't seem up to scratch or done frequently enough. The showers in the mens changing rooms have been quite grotty the couple of times I have needed to use them and therefore I would recommend some flip flops. Staff interaction has been positive and I like the ease of entering and exiting using the PureGym App. I'll be interested to see the state of the gym in 12 months time -whether the gym is cleaned and maintained sufficiently enough to keep the clientele returning.

Positive experience: It's a good wee gym. It's affordable and good for shift workers. Good variety of equipment but because its affordable it can be very busy at peak times.

Fantastic experience: I’m visiting this gym for a week as a casual. Speaking as someone who is in town for work, PureGym Inverness has been perfect. The ability to pay and let myself in at any hour of the day is a huge convenience. As is the array of supplements available to purchase at the vending machines via contactless method.

Fantastic experience: Busy, but there were plenty of machines/stations so even if I couldn't get on what the exact machine I wanted, there were plenty of other machines available. Instructions on some of the machines were unclear so I had to ask the staff for assistance and they couldn't have been more helpful. This is well worth the £13 a month and easily as good as some of the more expensive options available in Inverness.
