Fantastic experience: We had never been or heard of it before and went in to ask about prices, Will showed us around the facilities and explained everything really well and was super friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back, the prices and facilities seem great and the historic building and features are gorgeous. Would recommend!

Negative experience: Rude insensitive staff. The building and the instructors are outstanding but the staff are rude. They have an appalling reputation in the community and it's why at least 3 people I know have ended their membership. Very very sad.

Positive experience: The pool is absolutely awful. It's basically unaccessible for adults as the schedule is about 90% family and children focused. It's way too small and too warm for adult swimming. I only used the pool once on a weekday evening during adult lane swimming and it was way too crowded. There were about 6 people swimming in one lane. If you swim as part of your workout, this place is not for you. The late opening and early closing times on the weekends is just another inconvenience. The gym is very small but seems fairly well equipped. The yoga classes are really nice and they are the only reason why I have a membership however I think I could better get my money's worth elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place. The yoga classes are particularly wonderful, with excellent yoga teachers and the most beautiful studio with a heated floor. But more than that, Withy Baths is full of heart - a warm hug of a place - with the Bathhouse cafe (and barista Nuala’s positive energy), the community events and the support for local businesses. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I love it the pool is so warm the sauna is nice very tidy there is shallow end and a deep end thee is a diving area kind staff tidy changing room even swim lessons there tomorow on Saturday I go swim with my sister not swimming lessons because last year we were at swimming lesson hat teched us how to swim

Negative experience: It says it is to be closed at 10 pm on Mondays and i went there on a Monday 6 pm today and it was closed.

Fantastic experience: Love coming here

Negative experience: Again, a quaint and beautiful building, with the little things letting it slip. It's disgusting. The showers do not work and the water just trickles out. The sauna door doesn't close. The changing rooms are always wet as there's no swimwear spinner, so people rightly ring theirs in the changing room. I live right by there but travel away as I can not even shower after a sauna.

Can never say good morning no manners ,arrogant, and scared of the deep end in the pool so he says . As i see it if your not happy go and swim in the north Atlantic. So move on with your stupid comments

Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend it anymore, you ask staff questions and get excuses, door to the sauna won’t shut big gap , that’s been five weeks , wooden bench removed , from sauna area apparently because it was being damaged from people sitting on from the sauna, but it’s been ok for the six years I, but the wooden seats in the sauna are ok, this is a registered charity maybe the charities commission should come have a look

Positive experience: Very little maintenance and things take ages to replace when they run out. Not very clean.

Fantastic experience: The BEST swimming baths in Manchester! Absolutely brilliant such a lovely community feel. Very clean pool and clean gym. I love the policy of swim for as long as you like other pools give you a slot to use. No overcharging on the gym memberships it’s just perfect and affordable. Would recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Such a great pool and wellness centre, Eleanor at reception was so friendly and went out of her way to show us around our first time there, thank you Eleanor!

Negative experience: If I can give you one piece of advice: close the pool during the work. It's a shame it's still functional. The cabins are dirty and very cold (as are the toilets), the showers are badly marked. As for the pool, the water is very choppy (why?), which makes swimming difficult. I could see dirt floating in the water. The pool is surrounded by rusty metal bars, work buckets are lying on the edge,... In short, nothing welcoming, you don't feel good there. It's gloomy.

Positive experience: Withington baths has a good gym, its not the biggest or best, but does the job. If you live locally, its a great gym to use. The only downside is it can get a bit packed at peak hours, but all gyms do...

Positive experience: Being renovated - will be great when it's finished. Car Park in a dreadful state hence 3 stars. However the staff there are really helpful and very friendly. Nice place to go to

Fantastic experience: I went there on Saturday, 12 November 2022 with my respite carers Connie and Lily. I was in the pool from 2:45 - 3:30. I enjoyed it so much and I loved the warm water temperature!

Fantastic experience: Great classes .Lovely staff . I can highly recommend the Aqua Tone Class with Karen . I had a very painful hip before I started and it’s completely gone ! The building is undergoing renovations and it’s going to be even better The cafe is brilliant too ! Wonderful place.

Negative experience: I attended this pool this week and it was absolutely disgusting. Immediately as you walk through the doors the poor hygiene is evident. Staff were friendly though. The changing rooms were awful, water everywhere, rubbish littering every cubicle. The showers lacked hot water and the walls were covered in hair. When I got in the pool I thought my goggles had steamed up because I couldn’t see anything underwater but no, the water was so dirty you couldn’t see the person swimming in front of you, let alone the bottom of the pool. Overall awful experience.

Negative experience: Telephone call after 9.00am, weekday, for general enquiries about women only swimming sessions, life guard answered the phone and was clearly multi tasking dealing with bookings at reception, as such he's customer service skills were lacking and his knowledge was poor. I was later informed, when I called back, that this is a new member of staff which clarifies his limited knowledge.

Negative experience: Sauna floors are covered in water and dont get cleaned on a regular basis

Negative experience: Might have been the worst possible experience ever. Went for a lane swim session and there was this couple taking part in some serious PDA which I can’t comment on publicly. Then to mention hygiene there was bloody bandages in the changing booths. The staff seemed rather rude and not to concerned about anyones needs. Had to shower 4 time to try and wash the filth of myself. Would not recommend!

Negative experience: Avoid membership!! It's not clear but it's a MINIMUM 6 MONTH CONTRACT. They'll slam you with late fees if you fall behind and get the debt collectors onto you and no negotiation possible. Avoid.

Negative experience: I would not reccomend getting a membership at all as they use Harlands Group which is a really shady company. I was supposed to be refunded over a month ago (and Harlands confirmed this on the phone and by email). They are now avoiding me and my emails. Really big shame. Wont be coming back and wouldnt reccommend anyone else to use this place as they only care about money and partner with scam companies like that. Initially enjoyed coming here (pay as you go) to use the pool until this membership mess. Why would you let this happen?

Positive experience: Not bad, nice to see one of these old baths still running. Unfortunately its usually really busy and the water temperature is uncomfortably warm.

Negative experience: The gym is okay however please be aware they outsource their direct debits to Harlands group which is a really poor company with low ratings (Google -1.2* Trustpilot - 1.6*). I am surprised a community gym would be associated with such a poorly rated company. They are chasing me for money and letter despite me having written confirmation of the end of my membership and payment in full.

Fantastic experience: Excellent community swimming pool. Small but beautiful and reasonably priced. Lockers take £1 coins and there is parking round the back.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Edwardian pool slightly small bu lush water and a stellar sauna.

Positive experience: Beautiful historical baths with very reasonable prices. Spacious changing areas and a decent gym. Would benefit from a spruce up and deep clean, though.

Fantastic experience: Ok but need some maintainence

Positive experience: Have been swimming here since I was a kid. It's small and can get overcrowded but when it's empty it's ok. It has a bit of community backing due to it being an old building which is a big part of its charm. If you ever manage to go swimming during a thunderstorm then the room lights up and it echos wonderfully. The gym is also small. It's very much a small local leisure centre rather than an enterprise but sometimes you might prefer that.

Positive experience: Good gym not to busy but small so with covid guidelines fewer machines available so have to wait for equipment. Never used the pool or amy other feature here yet

Fantastic experience: I could not wait to get back to my classes. As soon as you enter reception you are advised to wear a mask, the reception is protected with covering. It is easy to follow the signs throughout the building. The staff has made it welcoming great effort by everyone. I loved my Adult dance class by Sarah it was like being in a club- sober!!

Positive experience: Just joined the gym this week been 4 days in a row after lockdown. The staff are very friendly, gym is very clean and Covid19 preparation is very obvious and cleaning fluid is readily available. I've been going between 7 - 9am and there has been a maximum of a dozen people in the gym. The equipment for the most is relatively new. Only things missing is the core mats are tiny and i couldn't find a foam rest for that while doing squats but that aside extremely good value for the gym and pool for £25 per month. Can't tell you anything about the pool as I'm scared of water!! ‍♂️

Fantastic experience: I took my 8 month old daughter to kids play at this pool and was delighted. It cost only £3 which is far cheaper than anywhere else I've tried. The cost is not the main reason however, friendly staff, good parking and a warm and clean pool are. Top marks, keep up the good work.
