Negative experience: Maybe when you give an induction you could show members how to use the cleaning spray and blue roll to actually clean machines after they use them, my main gym is usually Andover however was around Salisbury the other evening so popped in and was taken a back that not one member cleaned a machine after them in the hour I spent in there, even after watching me clean machines before and after myself people still didn’t feel it was necessary, absolutely disgusting and disrespectful to others! Will never step foot in there again!

We developed industry-leading cleaning and hygiene protocols, including the introduction of cleaning stations, to help keep our members and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with the reduced risk and in line with the Government’s ending of legal restrictions, we have decided to remove self-cleaning stations in our gyms, which will also support our sustainability objectives by reducing our paper towel waste. We’re proud to say that many of the protocols implemented during lockdown, such as frequent and regular cleaning, and improvements to our air ventilation systems, will continue to be a core part of our TrainSafe Commitment. Fantastic experience: Great place to go to get fit. You can do your own thing or have guidance from instructors. You can go when you want , 24/7. Caters for all abilities and has different levels of costs to suit you. Represents good value for money , compared to other gyms.

Fantastic experience: This is perhaps the loveliest gym in Salisbury and its environment. It is clean and decent to the point of being pristine, especially when you go in the wee hours. The equipment, weights, mats etc are well arranged. The order has a beauty to it. The ambience puts me in the zone. The gym is opened 24/7 and spans two levels. It has a wide range of equipment and free weights. There are studio sessions, which one has to register for. When there are no sessions, the rooms could be used for solo sessions for those who fancy a quiet session. One of the studios has stationary bikes and a huge projector to coordinate the sessions. Although there is no visible window, the gym is well aerated and cool, even during the summer months. It smells fresh and is rid of that typical musky gym smell that leaves you running for the nearest window. The toilet facility is also quite clean for such a high traffic gym. The ones on the first floor have a shower. There is free parking in front of the gym and at various parking lots at the shopping centres around. Sign up was easy and done online, and the gym staff who attended on hand when I went for enquiry was polite, informative, and easy to chat with. Access to the facility is super easy via a unique access passcode or via bar code available through the app. The app is informative and tracks footfall, which is useful in planning when it is best to visit the gym. The facility is almost perfect, save for a swimming pool. Still a 5/5 in my view.

Negative experience: Decent gym, but constantly broken and missing equipment including resistance bands (which havent been replaced in 6 months), cable attachments, leg extension handles snapped off and the only disabled toilet has been out of action for months. The biggest problem is the heat, it is ridiculously hot regardless of the time of day, there are no windows and staff are "not allowed" to put air conditioning on. By the time youve done a light warm up youll feel like youve just got out the shower.

We would like to assure you that we are reviewing feedback and will ensure this is addressed in club. Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed or replaced as soon as possible. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers/parts but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. We have recently made slight changes to the air conditioning, looking at improving energy efficiency. This is both to control our energy usage, but also with a look to reduce our carbon footprint. By law, we have a requirement to provide a certain amount of fresh air based on occupancy levels, and our ventilation system increases and decreases at different times throughout the day and night, making sure we meet these requirements and provide good air movement around the gyms. These levels are based upon size of the gym, and occupancy levels, and are regularly monitored. With regards to the temperature in the gym, we use air conditioning units which heat the air when it drops below 17.5C, and cools the air when it goes higher than 21.5C, keeping the temperature within the gym at an acceptable level. This is regularly checked to ensure the units are operating as they should be across all of our gyms. On occasion, we can get faults on our ventilation and AC systems which is normal. When this happens, there is a process in place to ensure we arrange for our contractors to attend, investigate and resolve the faults and return the systems back to full working order within a timely manner. All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities and all feedback is taken into account when making any future changes. Negative experience: Gym itself is lovely. Company behind it should win an award for incompetence however. The checkout process didn't make it remotely clear that the price I was being given was a promotion, which y'know, annoying but oh well. But the issues continue. After finally transferring to the correct plan (which, tbf, was easy), I was unable to add bolt ons to my account. Followed their help article to the letter, but the option simply wasn't there. Fair enough I suppose, bugs happen. So I sent them an email and they promptly replied with the help article I'd previously read (again, fair enough), however my follow up emails have received no answer. So now I've been advertised a different price to the one charged (granted they made it clear afterwards), I'm unable to add any of the advertised extras to my account, and support is nonexistent. The only redeeming feature at this point is that I like the physical gym itself, but the massive headaches around the subscription is starting to get in the way of that.

Positive experience: Pretty good gym, flavoured water dispenser was broken and it had mostly ran out of antibacterial spray but nice music and friendly staff, no pool, sauna or steam room!

Positive experience: Nice for fitness freaks.... will not recommend for bulked beasts. Heaviest Dumbbells available is 50kg. Got a decent space. Could have more varieties of machines. Got a good and large parking lot.

Negative experience: To many people not enough workout equipment, also they make it impossible to cancel your gym membership.

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Fantastic experience: Pretty good gym, equipment available is great, well air conditioned and very clean too. Can get quite busy from around 17:00-20:00 so avoid those times if you don't like waiting for equipment.

Negative experience: Very busy, even at 5am. Couldn’t complete workout plan as desired equipment we’re in constant use. Limited showers. Insane. You would think if PureGym are happy to allow lots and lots of people to join, they would have adequate facilities. 4 showers in total when there must have been at least 40 people in the gym at 5am. Absolutely insane is all I can say. Will definitely not be going back and would not recommend it to a soul. It’s the cheapest gym in Salisbury for a reason.

Fantastic experience: I'm not a gym person and I'm not very fit but there is a good choice of classes and good equipment, the app is a bit slow but had no issues with it and the instructors are knowledgeable and seem enthusiastic about their job and I would recommend PureGym in Salisbury to anyone because is also one of the cheapest in Salisbury (if not the cheapest) and for what I get offered I think I'm getting a good deal.

Negative experience: Really toxic gym. Stopped going as staff and other service users were rude each time. Know of at least 5 people that left for the same reasons. Staff only care if you are a hot, if not they'll literally roll there eyes and sigh when you ask a question. They did nothing when I was grabbed by a man or on a another occasion when 2 men were pointing and making vomit sounds at me, walked off. The nicest interaction I had with a staff member was with a cleaner at 2am when I no longer felt comfortable going to the gym when people were around. Exercise is ment to improve mental health, not make it worse . Was not worth the upset or my money. My gym buddy lasted one session and was disgusted,when mentioning it to work colleagues learnt they'd all left before. One used the word toxic and I couldn't agree more. We've found a friendly gym and a few members I speak to said they'd all come here because PureGym was an off atmosphere so clearly this place is getting a reputation.

Positive experience: Equipment was great however installation of boxing bags would be good too.

Fantastic experience: Excellent...very clean, showers excellent and staff very friendly. Watch out for the VERY confusing exit/entrance to the car park though! The place itself 5*.
Negative experience: Instructors are useless, as are management. Maybe it's down to the way pure gym pay? Either way it's run badly.

Positive experience: Very good tidy and equipped gym. Just let down by the parking at busy times of the day which is taken up by shoppers in home bargains.
Negative experience: Not impressed. My brother and I (both from the same household) were excited to resume training Post-lockdown. However today we were approached by a Puregym PT not observing the social distancing rule, who told us we were not allowed to train together or use the same equipment. Whilst he was speaking to us we witnessed another Puregym PT training another gym member (not from the same household). We were given no logical or scientific reasoning behind this biased ‘ruling’ which is not detailed on the Puregym website. If the spread of the ‘highly’ infectious COVID-19 virus is still that much of a worry then close the gyms, as the rules do not make logical sense.

Positive experience: Well, it's fine.. but the layout is a bit off and the distance is just too far for me! As I don't even live in Salisbury
Positive experience: Will the hand drier in the men's ever be fixed!? 20/10/24 Well equipped big box gym, everything you need for a good workout. No good bodybuilding machines but good basic kit and lot of freeweights. Ignorant staff who go out of their way to not speak to you unless you're wearing hot pants - I've tried wearing hot pants and now they seem to avoid me more
Positive experience: Excellent gym. Has all equipments necessary and more. Staff are OK - not the greatest customer service - Salisbury has reputation for poor customer service. Pure Gym seem have copied it.. Pure Gym could diversify their staff .

Positive experience: Well equipped new gym. Plenty of variety in equipment to suit lifters, cardio enthusiasts as well as functional or cross fitters. Its 24 hours and has good shower facilities. Only reason it's not 5 star is the changing rooms aren't open between 12am and 5am and theres only 1 urinal and 1 cubicle in the changing rooms.
Fantastic experience: I took a slight detour to visit this gym as it hadn't been open on a previous visit. On brand, clean, not a massive gym compared to others but well equipped. It was leg day so i was on a leg press. All good.
Fantastic experience: Signed up here due to the convenient location and the special sign-up offer, when compared to the previous gym I went to. When I go in the morning the gym is clean and functional. The equipment are conveniently placed to cater the average session on exercising specific muscle groups and areas for cardio, stretching etc… An amazing thing I have also discovered is the PureGym app, they have set workout courses from beginners to intermediate as well as keeping track to how long you have been to the gym and how many times you’ve visited. As well as having a section for booking classes and viewing personal trainers. Where I will be considering using both. For a new gym, the standards are quite high and above my expectations. I hope they can manage this as time goes by.
Positive experience: First 2 days were extremely busy, but this will most likely settle down over the next few weeks. Facilities and equipment were great though.

The busyness does fluctuate throughout the day, and from day-to-day. We have implemented a section to the website and the app which informs our members how many people are in the gym at that time and a graph to show the previous busyness of the gym on certain dates for comparison which we have found has really helped our members plan their workouts! Positive experience: Brilliant gym . Has all the equipments needed. Staff are brilliants compared to other gyms in Salisbury. Cannot wait for them to get rid of Snap Fitness. from Salisbury. Only problems is the staff from Snap Fitness in Salisbury have joined the Pure Gym to bring their bad attitudes and vibes to this place.
Fantastic experience: I literally cannot wait till it opens. If it's anything like the other PureGyms I've been to then it's going to be be brilliant. I've really struggled to find a gym around here that has enough equipment and space and isn't intimidating for a woman on her own. So excited!
