Fantastic experience: Everything you need from a gym. Clean, well ventilated. Friendly staff and members. Well equipped and at a fair price.

Negative experience: I came to this gym as I guest. The smell of the men’s changing room was horrible For this reason I will not join this gym as the smell being there for a very long time.

Negative experience: Mens shower smells awful, smells off sewage, this needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Negative experience: i come to this gym at night and the men’s changing room really has a strong sewage smell. it’s really putting me not coming anymore hope they fix it.

Negative experience: The mens changing room realy need maintenance and cleaning. It smells strong sewage and urin. The standing toilet has been blacked for a week and nothing has been done. Needs to be done asap.

Fantastic experience: I've been to the Watford branch a few times (it's not my closest) but I'm always struck by how tidy it is. Nice modern open plan gym with parking on site. Everything you need for a good workout.

Positive experience: Ok so I went on a special offer for Multi Gym, home gym being Southampton , to enter Watford one but code wouldn't work as watford is not part of the gym at the monthly payment i am paying that I got on a special promotion. It's a bit of a rip-off. But the staff here were happy for me to train as i was geared up for it, so I really appreciate it, but Pure Gym Admin , this is not right and needs to be rectified. I didn't get what i signed up for. But the gym itself is great. Great kit , layout, and really enjoyed my session.

You push us as individuals 2. You observe the form and your expertise and knowledge of the subject matter is invaluable, helping to understand and apply your feedback 3. Positive experience: Clean, new machines, changing rooms are a tad small but overall good for the price

Fantastic experience: Great place for a workout, 24hr is a good options for those of us with busy schedules. Classes are good. Machines are well kept. All I’d say for an improvement would be large LED clocks on the walls so we can count our rests between sets without needing our personal devices. Staff are helpful and polite.

Fantastic experience: I have used many gyms and all of them was good enough to workout.Some people give 1 star for no reason.No swimming pool can't swim 1 star???Don't have this Don't have that 1 star. Why don't you give 1 star because Tesco nearby didn't have banana? The gym is not dirty. Some people use the gym are dirty and that is not the gym's fault.Do you expect a cleaner including your membership? True gym should have more places to place cleaning sprays and paper towel rolls but people also should bring "clean" towel and place on bench when use or should clean after use. I have my own paper towel and clean the bench before use and put towel or my hoodie while using.Some gym doesn't allow members to use the gym if they don't follow the hygiene rules.I like the gym but they could have at least one more low seated row machine for back.Also should have different movement machines targeting more the muscles.I mostly use cable machines because don't have fixed movement that could hurt my joints or not comfortable to use because some machines made for average people and not adjustable properly. Otherwise have everything for a good workout. Maybe I will show them videos about some machines and hope they can afford to buy without increasing the membership price.

Fantastic experience: Parking is free for 2 hours Spacious clean gym A nice selection of classes. So far I tried body tone which was great. 30min of full body work out. Great music and vibe. Will be a regular here so will try more classes and equipment.

Negative experience: I recently had the displeasure of visiting PureGym Watford Waterfields, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst gym experiences I’ve ever had. First off, the smell in the showers was absolutely atrocious—it reeked of urine. It’s hard to believe a place that claims to be a fitness facility would allow such a disgusting stench to permeate its shower area. It was unbearable. The state of the changing rooms was equally appalling. They were filthy, with dirt and grime all over the floor. Clearly, cleanliness is not a priority at this location. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the gym equipment was dirty too. You’d think that during these times, a gym would make an extra effort to maintain cleanliness, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here. I felt uneasy touching anything, and the whole experience left me wondering if this gym has ever heard of hygiene. I would not recommend this gym to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and find a place that actually cares about the health and well-being of its members. So disappointed!

Fantastic experience: It's a great gym. Professional training environment for members of the public to release the inner beast and train to perfection. Clean friendly and well maintained with a good selection of machines and weights. It does get busy because the town doesn't have an alternative environment that is as good.

Negative experience: My review will probably be deleted again like it was last time- three times now I have attended a class and a minute before the class starts it is cancelled. A room full of people and you cancel. But when someone walks into a class one minute late you embarrass them and tell them to leave. Likewise, during peak time a few weeks ago my pass wasn’t working my friend approached the only member of staff on site and they said they couldn’t help as they were busy

Fantastic experience: Nothing fancy, no spa or swimming pool...just gym and classes. Super affordable, good quality equipment, great classes and incredibly friendly staff. Also had a PT session with Corey... Who listened to exactly what I wanted from the session and delivered it perfectly.

Positive experience: It has an interesting involuntary bonus Wim Hoff shower thing happening. But that i can take what is far worse than that, is the showers are hairyer than Chewbakka and big foots love child. For the price its got good equipment and is spacious. so 3 stars.

Positive experience: Good place of workout. I gived only 3 starts as no cleaning equipment in place. The people wich they use the equipment is left with sweating,wich is discusting to be use by others.

Negative experience: Gym is small but clean. The showers are so cold though (after a workout). Reported numerous times but nothing has been done. The shower head is for anyone that would be 9 feet tall so maybe they would benefit from the heat.

Fantastic experience: Switched to this gym,for my weekend training as closer to home.Love it!! I attend in the early hours.Also its great for popping over the car park,afterwards to shop at Tesco at 6.00am!!

Fantastic experience: Bren going for a few weeks and is a great gym. Only wish they wasn't so many 16 year old kids occupying the machines (while.kostly using them wrong) but I guess they'll get tired or learn eventually. Classes are fun!

Fantastic experience: Pure is very well equipped, spacious, well staffed, reasonably priced and clean. The staff are friendly and approachable and there are goo discounts attached to your membership. The only very small downside are the showers

Fantastic experience: I love the classes. The staff are upbeat and friendly. I suffered with hip and lower back pain every morning for 2 years, but after one session at the Saturday stretch class, the stiffness and pain disappeared! Now I’m a regular. The instructor is great.

Positive experience: **Second update for this** The gym equipment are new, place is neat and well maintained. The main problems I found include (i) water pressure and temperature for the shower facility are too low; and (ii) The stereo in the studio during classes is too loud and very annoying. The staff likely has received complaints about the stereo and has lowered the volume, it is much better now for (ii) above.

Fantastic experience: Only started recently but very glad I changed to Watford Pure!! Great space, great equipment and really helpful and enthusiastic staff. Was working out earlier today and Vik gave me some great tips to improve, can’t wait to see the difference!

Fantastic experience: I never write reviews but this is by far the best puregym I have ever been to. The space is huge, it has such a variety of quality lifting equipment both cables and free weights and I truly feel that any weight lifter would be able to find exactly what they need here. They also don't waste half the space with running machines like many other pure gyms do. This should be the gold standard of puregyms

Fantastic experience: I wish I was in the area longer to utilise the full range of equipment at pure gym Watford waterfields. In my short visit here I managed to get a chest and back session in. The equipment used felt brand new and smooth to use. I wish I could have incorporated all the various equipment into my workout but it would have been overkill. I’m impressed with options that were available to me. My only feedback is if I was to be a regular member here I would really appreciate the addition of a heavy bag. Nonetheless awesome gym based on my first visit.

Positive experience: Decent gym went there for 3 days since they are doing a offer at the moment to try out the gym. It's fine for basic use if you want to tone up and get your heart pumping if your into serious body building then I wouldnt really recommend it for you but the free weights are good if they got hammer strength machines in the it would be a game changer

Negative experience: They have BLARING MUSIC for the cycling classes that disrupts the rest of the gym. Clown organization.

Fantastic experience: My experience from the gym was awesome. I have been to the gym group, jd gym, NRG and PureGym so far. Out of all, I can surely say that PureGym is the best. I strongly believe those who have left negative reviews are the other gym owners/managers who are scared of competition and they think they will go out of business. I think it is really bad to destroy an awesome service like PureGym to stay in business. Instead, they should focus on improving their quality of service. Well, my experience from PureGym at Watford is/was that all the equipments were brand new, in perfect condition and ready to use. They can bring some more equipments and play music to motivate and energise people to do a nice workout. I am saying to everyone who is thinking of joining PureGym: Go, give it a try, and then judge. Don’t rely on some negative reviews.

The environment has become quite a mess, and it seems like the staff are not actively engaging with members to maintain order. Weights are often left scattered around, and no one seems to be held accountable for putting them back. It's disappointing to see a lack of control and accountability, and it really affects the gym experience. The gym frequently has an unpleasant odor, with some members not adhering to basic hygiene practices like showering. Additionally, equipment is often left all over the place, making it difficult to find what you need. There is so much space in the gym, yet it feels like wasted potential. This area could be better utilized with more equipment or better organization. It appears that management is content with just collecting membership fees without addressing these ongoing issues. It raises the question of why the gym etiquette in the UK often falls short, and why members aren't encouraged to put things back where they belong. Positive experience: Only 3star rating here… i wish i could leave 5! The smallest gym i have been in, not to much to do about. The super annoying part is there is no music at night time. I don’t know if day time is the same as i am working out only night. I don’t like headphones when i work out so.. you can listen to the ventilation system‍♂️

Fantastic experience: Me and my friends been in this gym for almost every day since it was open, I enjoyed every moment of it. Lovely and friendly staffs! All equipments are brand new and also clean. I don’t under why people had left bad reviews, as my experiment there had no issues with anything. I’m not going to lie here, these prices are so reasonable tho. Overall I would recommend this gym to you.

Fantastic experience: Very spacious and nicely organized gym!

Negative experience: It hurts writing this review about a brand new gym but wow was my experience awful.. I went to the opening and was appalled the new kit was covered in shipping oils still, they either rushed the opening or are too lazy to clean the kit down before doors opened. The staff did not seem friendly and as a personal trainer myself hearing some of the stuff their PTs were saying to people made me want to walk over and correct them. The tours given of the gym were done with little detail and little enthusiasm. I've only recently moved to the area so been looking at gyms and after one day at this Pure gym I will not be returning unless changes are made. I had a tour around NRG gym last week which was great, had a nice chat with the AM and seeing Hammer strength equipment in a gym was a fresh change for me as I was a pure gym member at my previous address. ( Side note before writing this I had a look at the other reviews to make sure I wasn't being dramatic but it seems many others had the same issues.. Can't believe they haven't replied to any of these reviews too. )

Fantastic experience: Loved the gym got connect it with one of the ladys to show me around it was sparkling new machines. Obviously its going to be busy at the beginning as its just opened hopefully it calms down soon!

Fantastic experience: Nice and clean! So far I’ve come across some friendly staff and PTs, enough equipment is there for whatever workout you’re doing. One of the smaller Puregyms I’ve been to but hopefully if people maintain it well and is cleaned regularly, this could be a good one. All workout equipment is on the ground floor with limited cardio equipment upstairs. Parking - there is an ample amount of space but the car park can get busy since it’s shared across other retailers

Negative experience: I Went to the puregym opening and was highly disappointed. Firstly, there are no cleaning supplies anywhere which is very unhygienic. The Dumbells and bars were greasy for some reason. Some of the staff were very arrogant and unapproachable. Might visit again but looking at other gyms in the area.

Negative experience: The manager: Martin Woodward was staring at my cleavage several time. I felt very intimidated. I'm not going to come back :(
